DDT At Ice Ribbon – Title Changes

Masa Takanashi had a hectic day over in Ice Ribbon, a promotion he works with when he is away from DDT, in an event that led to the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changing hands several times throughout the evening. At the very beginning of the show, Masa lost the title to Ice Ribbon founder Emi Sakura. Sakura then defeated Remi Nagano in the regularly scheduled match, only to lose the belt to Nagano afterwards when Nagano took advantage of the 24/7 rules. Her title run was very brief as Hikari Minami ran in and quickly defeated Nagano to become the new champion. An hour later Emi Sakura won back the title from Minami only to drop it back over to Masa Takanashi, who left the show as champion. If Masa is still champion by the time DDT holds its next Korakuen Hall show on 19/6, then his official return match against Keisuke Ishii will be for the belt.

Speaking of Ice Ribbon, Chou-un Shiryu & Makoto Oishi won the International Ribbon Tag Team Championships on 11th June by defeating recently crowned champs Hamuko Hoshi & Mochi Miyagi, aka The Lovely Butchers. However, three days later Oishi was put on the injured list with a knee problem. They are still champions at the moment but plans may change depending on how long Oishi will be gone for.
