Irie To Go On Another Excursion

Shigehiro Irie will be going on another excursion to the United States later this year. Irie approached DDT for permission to take the trip after “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2017”. His final show for DDT before he leaves will be the Nagoya show on 18th September and his excursion is planned to last for almost the rest of this year. Because of this, Irie has removed himself from the Dramatic General Election. But if YaroZ win the Unit Election and get to book their own Korakuen Hall show on 30th December, Irie is eligible to be a part of the show.

Irie explained that he felt confident he and Kazusada Higuchi would not lose to anyone but HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji proved them wrong at Sumo Hall. Now that he is no longer a KO-D Tag Team Champion, Irie thinks it is necessary to discover new experiences. Also all of his friends in America have been asking him when he would visit them again. He received one message in particular that evening after Sumo Hall that fired up his desire to travel again. This time around he wants a variety of different challenges to face in America. There are so many more wrestlers over there who match his size and there are also so many strange styles that aren’t found in Japan.

One of his last matches in Japan will be against Yuki Ino for DNA on 7th September. They are having a Knock On Match which is referencing Ino’s rugby experience. It sounds like fouls will be treated like in rugby instead of the normal pro wrestling rules. Irie doesn’t foul people and promises to fight a clean match.
