The title match is happening because Jun Akiyama wanted a shot in return for giving HARASHIMA the next KO-D Openweight Title shot. Makoto Oishi has been moved out of the opener to be in the main event.

Takumi Tsukamoto has been slipping a bit with Masato Kamino pinning him on the last show. Kamino’s use of the Lariat is giving him win after win, enough to grant him a Union MAX Title shot.
The Sparky pair of Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT have been pretty successful and gotten even better with their new tag team finishing move. The Big Mac where Nakatsu (plus another if it is a trios match) jumps onto SAGAT’s back and they all splash down onto the victim. That will give Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura plenty to chew on when the IRON FIST Tag Titles are on the line.

A double title match is added. At least it is supposed to be one. If Saki Akai ends up losing the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title before the show then it will just be the DDT Extreme Title on the line so she is in the match no matter what. Chris Brookes promises to come up with a strange match type for them to fight in.
Team Thoroughbred achieved their goal of winning the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles. Now they have to defend them.
