Formed in 2012, Tokyo Joshi Pro was set up as a separate promotion from DDT to train and nurture new women wrestlers. It continues today as the flagship joshi brand of the CyberFight family. Originally trainees and regular roster members were required to follow the “Forbidden Three” rules: No liquor, no tobacco and no relationships with men. Those rules were relaxed in 2018 due to reasonable requests and arguments from the roster. For the first few years TJPW events featured a mixture of wrestling matches and musical performances from idols until it grew large enough to run full fledged wrestling shows by themselves. Musical performances returned when a number of idol inspired units were formed. TJPW is mostly closed off from the rest of the joshi scene and often does not interact with companies outside of CyberFight. However over time there are occasions when outsiders, freelancers and big names from across the industry take part in TJPW cards.
