The 2019 tournament was held at the end of 2018 to determine the No. 1 Contender for “JUDGEMENT 2019” at Sumo Hall on 17th February, 2019. There was not enough time for DDT to hold the tournament in the early part of 2019 which is why they pushed it forward to the end of 2018 instead. Konosuke Takeshita entered the tournament as the reigning Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion which meant many of the A Block matches ended up having the title on the line due to its 24/7 rule. He lost and regained it during the group stages and remained champion by winning the tournament.
