DJ Nira’s Evil Plan

August 10, 2010

Step 1: Steal Michael Nakazawa’s “Anus Dynamite”. This was done at the final Shin Kiba 1stRING show before Sumo Hall. To celebrate DDT’s success, Sanshiro Takagi had Nakazawa get ready to position the dynamite where the sun don’t shine and set it off. But before the fuse was lit, Yago Aznable and his crew ambushed them. DJ Nira grabbed the dynamite out of Nakazawa’s nether regions and fled.

Step 2: Attach the Anus Dynamite to Yago’s Space Colony. Set the power to full blast and guide the Colony on course to planet Earth. When entering the Earth’s atmosphere, switch off everything. Gravity will do the rest of the work.

Step 3: Make sure the Space Coloney is still falling down until you crash into “Sumo Palace”. Congratulations, you just performed mass genocide!!

Michael Nakazawa Injured – Removed As CEO

August 10, 2010

It’s been a tough month for Michael Nakazawa. He dramatically saved Sumo Hall from Yoshiaki Yago’s evil plan to crash his space shuttle straight into the Ryogoku. The battle took a lot out of “Negetive Charisma” and it was feared that he would be doomed to lost in space forever. Luckily the fans in Sumo Hall formed together and used the lights from their cellphones to guide him home.

Unfortunately Nakazawa is now on the injured list recovering from a concussion suffered at some point during the Beer Garden shows. As if things weren’t bad enough, Nakazawa has been stripped of his role as DDT’s CEO (WWE General Manager). Toru Owashi has been chosen as the temporary CEO until the decision is made to determine the next person to permanently take the role.

DDT Election 2010

August 9, 2010

DDT introduced an interesting concept that will build up to its 24th October show in Korakuen Hall. Between now and October, fans will vote for who they want to see appear on the show, choosing from 48 different wrestlers with the possibility of more being added as the election goes on. When the election ends and the votes are counted, the top 18 choices will make it into the 24/10 show and will enter a tournament on the night. The tournament grand prize will be 1,000,000 yen plus a KO-D Openweight Title shot. Should the KO-D Champion be the winner then he has the right to select his next challenger. All wrestlers involved in the ballot are being encouraged to promote their election campaign on their blogs, Twitters and so on.

People can only vote if they have a ticket to any of the DDT shows between now and October. One vote is given for one ticket. Another vote is given for every 3,000 yen spent at the merch table during shows. Voting ends on 6th October at the MUSCLE Korakuen Hall finale. The results will then be revealed the next day over at Shinkiba 1st RING.

The following is the list of wrestlers eligable for votes. More could possibly be added in the future.

Quick Site Update

August 7, 2010

Apologies for the lack of updates on the rest of the “Beer Garden Pro-Wrestling” week. The results of every show after Day 1 have not been posted on DDT’s official site or any of the other puro fansites either. I will hopefully get the entire Ironman Heavymetalweight title history posted before the end of the week while I wait for further results. In the meantime, here’s a pic of Yukihiro Abe’s new T-shirt.

Muscle Sakai To Retire

August 3, 2010

A message was posted on DDT’s Twitter page saying that Muscle Sakai will soon retire from wrestling. His retirement will take place in Korakuen Hall for what will be the very last MUSCLE show on October 6th. Sakai will be taking over his family’s business, a metal molding & dye shop.

Gekkan Wakate Tsuushin” is a series of monthly shows by DDT that focus on their younger wrestlers and normally avoids the wackiness of its other shows. So the gang involved with the concept begun the week long festivities in DDT’s Beer Garden with a one night tournament that was eventually won by Shigehiro Irie. Shigegiro debuted in April 2008 and was trained by Sanshiro Takagi, SHIGERU and Kengo Takai in the Nagoya Pro Wrestling Dojo. By winning this tournament, Irie has earned a place in the upcoming KO-D Title No. 1 Contender tournament at the end of the week. Daisuke Sasaki, Keisuke Ishii & Yukihiro Abe will also be part of the tournament.

DDT “RUINS PRO-WRESTLING”
30/07/2010
Moriya Friend Park, Ibaraki
120 Fans

1. KO-D Tag Team Title & Moriya Tag Team Title, 3 Way Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa (c) defeated HARASHIMA & Hiroyo Matsumoto and Kenji Abe & Mitsuhiro Yoshida (c) when Sawa submitted Yoshida with the Octopus Hold (16:11).
*V8 For Takagi & Sawa.

The “Greatest Title Run Ever” ™ moves on with great momentum as Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa once again triumphed in another DDT “Anywhere Pro-Wrestling” show. This time the location was a community centre in Moriya City, Ibaraki. It was a small venue and there were only two floor mats used to represent the squared circle. The match was a Three Way Tag Team bout that was originally meant to be non-title. But Kenji Abe & Mitsuhiro Yoshida wanted to put their Moriya Tag Team Titles on the line to unify them with the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Takagi & Sawa agreed to the challenge and put their belts on the line. Rounding up the competing teams were the duo of HARASHIMA & joshi wrestler Hiroyo Matsumoto. Tomimitsu Matsunaga served as the referee for this match. Weapons that were used in the match included Sanshiro’s guitar, a trash can, a cardboard box, a wooden board, a squeeky plastic mallet and electric clippers. Yoshida was the unfortunate victim of the clippers and was left with a few shears across his scalp. At one point, Takagi & Sawa attempted to do the Golden Shower (Double 450 Splashes) but were cut off by Kenji Abe. The three way brawl traveled outside to the building’s backyard. A large hole was dug out and Sawa struck Yoshida into the hole with an Irabu Punch. Sawa leapt into the hole and applied the match winning Octopus Hold to make it V8 for the KO-D Tag Champs along with a new pair of belts to add to their collection. After the match, Yoshida had the rest of his hair shaved off.

This is the eigth successful defence for the champs. I lost count along the way and originally thought it was their ninth.
