The little stunt pulled by Sanshiro Takagi & Takao Soma yesterday is not going over well with the DDT General Manager. Takagi & Soma, who have clearly been watching one too many CM Punk videos, are currently rebelling against the establishment so they can make DDT more interesting. In this case, the establishment is Tsurumi Amon and only Tsurumi Amon. After winning the KO-D Tag Team Titles on Sunday, the new champions quickly had their first title defence at a GUTS World event a few hours later. Takagi explains that he wants to promote DDT and defending the KO-D Tag Title in other promotions helps his cause. Amon is pissed off at Takagi for constantly ignoring his decisions and making title matches without his permission. Takagi has also promised to have a KO-D Tag Title match in STYLE-E on 17th March. Amon is already sending the big guns after the champs to get the belts back as soon as possible. Homoiro Clover Z teammates Danshoku Dino and KUDO will team up and face Takagi & Soma in the main event of next week’s show in Hakata Star Lanes.

New Hard Hit Rules

March 12, 2012

HARD HIT “ATLANTIS”, 22/03/2012
Shinjuku FACE

1. KEI Yamamiya Vs Ryuichi Sekine
2. Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Michael Nakazawa
3. Isami Kodaka Vs Tanomusaku Toba
4. HARASHIMA Vs Daisuke Nakamura
5. Hikaru Sato Vs Ryo Kawamura

Hikaru Sato has announced a new rule set to be used in Hard Hit going forward. The following changes have been made:

– Hard Hit matches will now have either a 10 or 15 minute time limit.

– Pinfalls are not in use.

– 10 minute fights will use a three point loss system. 15 minute fights will use a 5 point loss system.

– Closed fist strikes to the face, shins and knees are not allowed. However, strikes to the shins and knees will be allowed if the opponent wears padding on the affected area.

– Headbutts are banned.

– When on the ground, fighters are considered to be in a grounded state until they are standing on the soles of both feet.

– When fighting in a grounded state, the only strikes that are allowed to be used are open palm strikes.

– Leaving the ring during the fight, using weapons and attacking the referee are all grounds for immediate disqualifiction.

Everything else will be kept as usual. The last two matches will have a 15 minute time limit, the rest will be 10 minutes. There have been some comments that Sato is using the Hard Hit relaunch to prepare for a possible revival in the shoot-fighting style made famous by UWF and RINGS. Sato’s response is he does not know what is happening and he just wants to appeal to the fans of that style.

New KO-D Tag Champs Already Defend Belts

March 12, 2012

GUTS WORLD “DEVIL WORLD 2012”, 11/03/2012
Kitasenju Theatre 1010
120 Fans – No Vacancy

KO-D Tag Team Title: Sanshiro Takagi & Takao Soma (c) defeated Guts Ishijima & Taro Yamada when Soma pinned Yamada with the Boma Ye (10:40).
*V1 for Sanshiro Takagi & Takao Soma.

The new KO-D Tag Team Champions are causing even more headaches for Tsurumi Amon. Shortly after becoming champions on Sunday, Sanshiro Takagi & Takao Soma travelled from Korakuen Hall to Kitasenju Theatre 1010 where a GUTS World event was taking place. The main event saw Guts Ishijima win the Strongest Devil Alliance A-1 Climax Tournament. However, his celebrations were cut short when Sanshiro Takagi’s entrance music played over the speakers and the KO-D Tag Team Champions walked down to the ring. After some trash talking took place, a KO-D Tag Team Title match was declared and once Ishijima brought down Taro Yamada to be his partner, the match begun right away. After 10 minutes, Soma put away another victim with the Boma Ye and scored the pin to keep the titles.

That wasn’t all that happened. After the show ended, Takagi & Soma were approached by Kazuhiro Tamura & Shota from STYLE-E. Shota asked if he and Masato Shibata could get a shot at the titles on STYLE-E’s 17th March show in West Chofu. Takagi said he would think about it but eventually promised them that it would happen.
