1. Naomi Yoshimura Vs Yuki Ishida
2. Time-Difference Entry Tag Team Rumble: Jun Akiyama & Danshoku Dieno Vs KANON & Antonio Honda Vs Yukio Naya & Yuya Koroku Vs Toru Owashi & Yasu Urano Vs Super Sasadango Machine & S.S.M Vs X & X

6. Special Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & To-y Vs Chihiro Hashimoto & Kazuma Sumi
7. Yuki Ueno 10th Anniversary Match ~ Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Shunma Katsumata

Earlier today Shinya Aoki lost to Mikuru Asakura in the semi-main event of a RIZIN MMA show. The match pretty much presented this as Aoki’s last stand as a pro fighter and he was accompanied by both Yuki Ueno and El Lindaman. No Junta Miyawaki with the KO-D Tag Team Title belts though. That was a waste of a payoff. While Aoki did give it a good go against Asakura by taking his back and trying to lock in a Rear Naked Choke, he was quickly pummeled into oblivion by Asakura’s ground and pound. Aoki made it clear in his post-match interview that he will be at this show in a few days time to wrestle his match because it is his job to be there.

Ueno has hinted that the X & X tag team in the Rumble are two really strong wrestlers and it is not common for the two of them to team up together.

While Shuichiro Katsumura was out promoting the show, he ended up finding his second tag partner. He visted Abdullah Kobayashi’s bar during the week and since it is located in Yokohama, why not have Kobayashi join the Naka Ward Assembly?

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SHINJUKU FACE COUNTDOWN SERIES – I WON’T CRY THERE’S NO WAY I WILL CRY”, 27/09/2026
Shinjuku FACE

1. Shinjuku FACE Memorial 6-Woman Tag Match: Hyper Misao, Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami Vs Mahiro Kiryu, Toga & Kira Summer
2. Yuki Kamifuku Vs Wakana Uehara

Six women from the active Tokyo Joshi Pro roster had their debut matches take place inside Shinjuku FACE so TJPW are putting them all together for a farewell match at the promotion’s final show in the venue. There were four other TJPW wrestlers who debuted here but have since retired. They were MIZUHO, Azusa Takigawa, Maho Kurone and YUMI.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII”, 03/10/2026
Tokyo EBARA WAVE Arena Ota

1. Aja Kong, Sakura Hattori & Kumadori Vs Chris Brookes, Kira Summer & Chika Nanase
2. 3 Way Tag Match: Raku & Minimo Vs Pom Harajuku & Pokotan Vs Mahiro Kiryu & Tama
3. VENYU Finale: Yuki Kamifuku & VENY Vs X & X

5. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro
6. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Suzume

So the three mystery partners in the 3 Way Tag match are all mascots. Minimo is the mascot from the idol group Minimoni that took part in the Battle Royal at “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” earlier this year, Pokotan is DDT’s attempt at breaking into the mascot market and Tama is the seal that is supposed to teach everybody about part-time jobs but ended up fighting wrestlers with a kitchen knife at the Tokyo Idol Festival this past Summer. Tetsuya Koda gathered the mascots together for a press event earlier this week and ended up getting attacked by all of them. Yes, that means Tama stabbed him too.

Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan

1. Special Single Match: Jun Kasai Vs Hinata Kasai
2. Special Tag Match: To-y & Kaisei Takechi Vs KANON & Kumadori

It’s a dance battle in the making at Sumo Hall when Kaisei Takechi and Kumadori will cross paths in the ring. To-y will be teaming with Takechi and wants to name their team T2K2. Fans are hoping he can come up with a better name. KANON looks to be the odd one out in the match but the idea is for it to showcase four of DDT’s young stars.

-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Shunma Katsumata defeated Kumadori (c) with a Small Package (7:46 pm).
*Shunma Katsumata becomes the 1,904th champion.
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Masami Inahata defeated Shunma Katsumata (c) with a Roll Up (7:47 pm).
*Masami Inahata becomes the 1,905th champion.
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato defeated To-y, Kazuma Sumi & Kaisei Takechi when Masada pinned Sumi after The Roar For Tomorrow Created By Takeshi And Yuya (13:07).
5. Special Tag Match: Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao when Yoshimura pinned Takao with the Harai-goshi (13:41).
6. Special Tag Match: MAO & Yuki Iino defeated Fuminori Abe & HARASHIMA when MAO pinned Abe with a Manjigatame Counter (16:32).
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Ilusion defeated Masami Inahata (c) with a Cradle (9:03 pm).
*Ilusion becomes the 1,906th champion.

The pressure is getting to Fuminori Abe. He even admits it himself. There was a contract signing at the start of the show for his KO-D Openweight Title match against MAO. Abe joked that earlier in the day he took an interview about the match, went to use the restroom and ended up accidentally soiling himself. It makes him wonder if MAO is triggering something deep within his psyche because this happened and there was also that time MAO made him throw up during a match. MAO got one over on Abe again in the main event but he can thank Yuki Iino for that. Iino charged across the ring with HARASHIMA on his back to throw a Lariat at Abe while Abe held MAO in the Manjigatame. The Lariat hit its target and MAO cradled Abe over to pin him for the three count. Abe doesn’t like to lose but he has his heart set on forging his own path. He told MAO if he was to beat him for the KO-D Title on 21st September then things would get really chaotic in DDT! After he left, MAO talked about Iino and how he wished they would have teamed up more in Strange Love Connection. If Iino ever wins the GHC Heavyweight Title then MAO will keep a close eye on him because Iino will always be born and raised in DDT.

Soma Takao rediscovered his old self when teaming up with Daisuke Sasaki for one last time. He wore an original DAMNATION shirt instead of a Dropkick Bar shirt and wrestled the match like a heel.

A new match has been put together for “ULTIMATE PARTY 2026” based around the D GENERATIONS wrestlers. To-y & Kaisei Takechi are going to join forces to take on KANON & Kumadori! That Takechi and Kumadori both have street dancing backgrounds is an element that Kumadori is excited about. Takechi however pointed out he’s been dancing since he was two years old so he has the edge over his masked opponent. To-y wanted to fit is so he bragged about playing football since he was three and even went to college for it. He quit the team after just a week but forget about that. To-y wants to call himself and Takechi Team RAMPAGE but Takechi immdiately turned that down. To-y then suggested the name T2K2 but the reaction from everyone was luke warm at best. He’ll go think up of a better name but he would like to stick with T2K2.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title saw some action in the middle of the show. Shunma Katsumata gave Kumadori a Low Blow after the 4 Way Tag and pinned him to win the belt. Then while Katsumata was taunting Kumadori, Masami Inahata rolled him up from behind to become the new champ. Earlier in the show Ilusion lost the Anytime, Anywhere, Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet to Viento Levante but he got to leave Shinjuku FACE with something when he tripped over Inahata at the end of the show and pinned him to win the Iron Man Title once more.

6. Special Single Match: HARASHIMA Vs Super Sasadango Machine

Niigata is the home of Super Sasadango Machine so he’s getting a big match for DDT’s return to the area. This time he’s facing HARASHIMA one on one. The two have some history together. Mainly 12 years ago when Sasadango originally created the Vertical Drop Lehman Shock as the finisher that was guaranteed to beat HARASHIMA for the KO-D Title… if he was able to hit it three times in their match. His plan didn’t work back then.

There was a Spirit Of Ganbare World Title match that happened in FREEDOMS this past Sunday when Mizuki Watase defended the title against Jun Kasai. The two were previously a tag team together in FREEDOMS and they even held the King Of FREEDOM World Tag Team Titles until recently. It was a match held under normal rules and Watase was able to beat Kasai to remain as champion. His next challenger has already been determined. Yumehito Imanari is turning 41 years old at this show and demanded he face the champion here so he can win the title on his birthday!

The regional battles waging within Ganbare☆Pro are continuing with the Toyama wrestlers now attracting the attention of wrestlers associated with the Naka Ward in Yokohama. Shuichiro Katsumura has drafted in Minoru Fujita to help him out and has another person on the way over to fight Ohka’s team of Toyama boys.

Over the weekend Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed became the No. 1 Contenders for the Princess Tag Team Titles. This is going to be the second time Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro are challenging for the titles together. Aino was half-responsible for ending Daydream’s first reign as champs at the very first “WRESTLE PRINCESS” back in 2020. Can she do it again with Kazashiro this time or will Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi prevent history from repeating itself.

The participants for the 3 Way Tag Match will be revealed soon, maybe even by the time I post this update.

Yeah, that’s a random 6-Person Tag Match they’ve added in there.

5. DAMNATION T.A Vs paleyouth!: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Ilusion defeated Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato when Ilusion pinned Masada with the Chinga Tu Madre! (13:35).
6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: MAO, KANON & Viento Levante (w/ KIMIHIRO) defeated Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kaisei Takechi when Levante pinned To-y after the Michinoku Tornado Driver (21:32).

Home sweet home for the KO-D Openweight Champion. Miyagi welcomed back MAO for his first match in the area since becoming the man on top in DDT. He was also there to represent Osaki City as an ambassador and helped Viento Levante get the win when they teamed up to give To-y the Michinoku Tornado Driver. The other team weren’t on the same page as much because To-y kept giving instructions to Kaisei Takechi that To-y would then ignore, rendering Takechi’s actions pointless. Yuki Ueno would take To-y’s side on the matter and tell Takechi to get a grip. To-y later lost his cool when he missed the T.O.Y dive and slapped everyone he could find, including Takechi. He didn’t slap Ueno though because Ueno calmed him down in time. That left both of them open to take a Double Lariat from KANON. The comeback didn’t immediately happen after that but Strange Love Connection were able to regroup and get the win. Even though Takechi doesn’t understand why To-y slapped him, he would still like to team with him and Ueno again so they can fight for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

Before the second match took place, Sanshiro Takagi had a talk with Hinata Kasai inside the ring. He told Kasai that documentaries are now the key to success in pro wrestling so he wants to make one about Kasai’s search for his first win. He is currently thinking of what to call the documentary and might name it something like “Sendai Soul” (this is all a parody of the “Sendai Girls Soul” series that’s been a factor in Sendai Girls’ recent success). Unfortunately, Kasai admitted he has no family in Sendai nor does he have any special feelings for the area. Takagi didn’t like that answer so he forced Kasai to act more passionate about Sendai if he’s going to get his first win here. Takagi even went as far as to interfere in Kasai’s match to help him win but Kasai had enough and kicked him out of the ring. He tried to fight the rest of his match with all of his might but lost anyway. Afterwards he got on the microphone to say he is the only one in DDT to never win a match but he does not want to give up. He’ll keep getting back up and promised when he comes back to Sendai he’ll have achieved his first win by then!

1. Naomi Yoshimura 10th Anniversary Debut Match ~ Special Single Match: Zeus Vs Naomi Yoshimura

A few weeks back Naomi Yoshimura let everyone know that he asked DDT for to book a particular opponent for his 10th Anniversary match scheduled for October. DDT honored his request and it’s now been revealed his opponent is going to be Zeus! The Osaka strongman was the person who originally opened the doors for Yoshimura to get into pro wrestling through his bodybuilding gym. When Yoshimura graduated from high school, he trained under Zeus and credits him for turning his dream of becoming a pro wrestler into reality. Zeus has kept himself busy these past few years with running Osaka Pro, the company he was successfully able to revive back in 2022. He doesn’t wrestle outside of his home promotion that often so for DDT to get him on board for a match that means a lot to Yoshimura is quite a big deal.

Yuki Iino Transferring To NOAH In November

September 3, 2026

A press conference was held at AbemaTowers in Shibuya today regarding the future wrestling career of Yuki Iino. It was announced that his contract with DDT is expiring on 3rd November and he will be transferring over to NOAH on a full time basis after that date. Iino has been wrestling for both promotions since May when he was revealed to be Manabu Soya’s mystery tag partner at a NOAH show. Since then the two have been teaming together as Jonetsu MAX and they have won both the Neo Global Tag League as well as the GHC Tag Team Titles. He has a handful of dates with DDT remaining throughout September and October that will take place in between the N1 Victory tournament that he is also entering over in NOAH that month. His final match as a DDT wrestler will be at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2026” in Sumo Hall on 3rd November. If he gets the chance to pick his opponent for that show his choice would be Yukio Naya, his tag partner from The Apex.

Iino was joined by Sanshiro Takagi and Naomichi Marufuji for the press conference. He said he’s been teaming with Soya with maximum passion these last few months and now wants to take a big leap forward towards doing more powerful pro wrestling as a heavyweight in NOAH. He is grateful towards Takagi for agreeing to his request and asks for the fans to continue giving their support. Takagi said that while DDT does have heavyweight wrestlers on their roster, he saw how hard Iino has been working to do something new in NOAH and wants to respect his wish to transfer between promotions. The process was easy to set up because DDT and NOAH are both under CyberFight ownership and Takagi thinks it is exciting news. He also opened up the door for Iino to someday wrestle in DDT again, but this time as a NOAH representative. Marufuji said he saw no reason to decline Iino’s request after talking to both him and Takagi. He has high expectations for Iino after seeing firsthand how serious he takes wrestling inside the ring and training outside of it. He hopes Iino will showcase what makes him different from the other NOAH wrestlers. Marufuji also joked that Iino has a body that is worth Chopping.

Iino has already told everyone in Strange Love Connection about his plan to leave DDT and join NOAH. Everyone there was happy for him and are encouraging him to do his best, especially Yukio Naya. Iino said he wants Naya to win the KO-D Openweight Title while he goes to win the GHC Heavyweight Title so both of them can be the top champions at the same time. He also said his most memorable time in DDT was teaming with Danshoku Dieno as part of Pheromones because it was his breakthrough gimmick. He never imagined he would do the things he did back then but it showed a lot of different sides to him (he can say that again). His one regret is never getting to win the KO-D Title so if he achieves the results he wants in NOAH, he may consider coming back to DDT and challenge for the championship again some day. Iino is also looking forward to locking up with Tetsuya Endo again in a NOAH ring.

DDT “DRAMATIC DREAM TAMAGAWA IN BOATRACE TAMAGAWA”, 02/09/2026
Tokyo BOAT RACE Tamagawa

1. Yukio Naya, Viento Levante & Soma Takao defeated Junta Miyawaki, Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Yuki Ishida when Naya pinned Matsunaga with The World’s Best Back Drop (7:02).
2. Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku defeated Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata when Masada pinned Hirata with a Big Boot (0:06).
2a. Rematch: Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku defeated Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata when Masada pinned Hirata with a Backslide Pin (3:16).
3. DAMNATION T.A Vs FANTÔMES DRAMATIC!: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul & Ilusion defeated Chris Brookes, HARASHIMA, Antonio Honda & Hinata Kasai when Okatani pinned Kasai with the Skewer-Style Claymore (9:54).
4. MAO & KANON defeated Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuma Sumi when MAO pinned Sumi with a Running Palm Strike (10:35).
5. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Akiyama & Masami Inahata when To-y pinned Inahata with a Forward Rolling Cradle (8:36).

Some of the wrestlers were distracted during their matches because they wanted to gets their bets in for the boat races that were happening throughout the day. It caused some infighting to happen between Takeshi Masada and Yuya Koroku because Masada wanted to win his match as soon as possible so he could go bet some more. He immediately beat Kazuki Hirata but Koroku demanded a restart. Koroku then actually stopped Masada from trying to beat Hirata at every opportunity to the point where the two paleyouth wrestlers spent more time fighting each other than Hirata or Danshoku Dieno. Masada got his way in the end when he manipulated Koroku and Hirata to both get pushed into Dieno’s Hell Gate over the turnbuckles. Masada got to pin Hirata and then ran of with his money to go bet some more. Unfortunately at the end of the day none of the DDT wrestlers won any money on the bets they put on.

Next weekend MAO is going home to Miyagi as the KO-D Openweight Champion for the first time! It feels like he’s made that promise several times over the years and now he finally gets to do it. Kaisei Takechi being in the match too might help draw more attention to the main event.

It’s been a while since The Apex had a tag team match without the rest of Strange Love Connection involved. Yuki Iino has a busy NOAH schedule coming up but he and Yukio Naya would be a good KO-D Tag Team Titles defence for Junta Miyawaki to try and achieve with Shinya Aoki somewhere down the line.

7. Yuki Ueno 10th Anniversary Match ~ Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Shunma Katsumata

There are going to be two DDT shows happening at Korakuen Hall in September. The first is Yuki Ueno’s anniversary show. He’s added a Tag Team Rumble with a lot of mixed up teams in there. Also he figured the best place to put a crazy Falls Count Anywhere match between Minoru Suzuki, Sanshiro Takagi, Chris Brookes, Kuroshio TOKYO Japan and Takeshi Masada is in the pre-show. What is this, an AEW PPV?

DDT “DRAMATIC INFINITY 2026 ~AUTUMN OF PRO WRESTLING~”, 21/09/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: KANON, Yukio Naya & Viento Levante (c) (w/ KIMIHIRO & YUZUKI) Vs Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Ilusion
2. DDT Universal Title: Ryusuke Taguchi (c) Vs Antonio Honda
3. KO-D Openweight Title: MAO (c) Vs Fuminori Abe

MAO is quick to use his KO-D Title reign as something he can settle past grudges with. He has noticed Fuminori Abe has been hanging around the DDT undercard for the last few weeks and he has unfinished business with him. Two years ago MAO and Abe feuded over the DDT Universal Title where the buildup revolved around Abe getting kicked so hard during a match that it made him throw up a little. There’s no worry about that happening again but Abe does consider MAO to be a rival among his generation, one that he must defeat!

The story between Ryusuke Taguchi and Antonio Honda is a little more personal. Taguchi’s son is a fan of Honda’s band so Honda promised to win the Universal Title and pose for a picture with the son! That doesn’t bother Taguchi too much because his son was never interested in taking a picture with his dad holding any of the championships he’s won in the past.

DDT “FACE FINAL ~GOODBYE TO SHINJUKU FACE! WITH GRATITUDE FOR 21 YEARS! THIS IS OUR SHINJUKU DRAMATIC DREAM!~”, 27/09/2026
Shinjuku FACE

1. DDT Extreme Title: Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs Ryota Nakatsu

Earlier this month Ryota Nakatsu beat Shunma Katsumata at BASARA’s Korakuen show. The rematch is going down at DDT’s final show to be held in Shinjuku FACE. Katsumata is also putting the DDT Extreme Title on the line to motivate him into finally surpassing his DNA rival.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII”, 03/10/2026
Tokyo EBARA WAVE Arena Ota

1. 3 Way Tag Match: Raku & X Vs Pom Harajuku & X Vs Mahiro Kiryu & X
2. VENYU Finale: Yuki Kamifuku & VENY Vs X & X
3. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Winners Of 05/09 Decision Match
4. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Suzume

Mystery partners are being teased for a 3 Way Tag Match that’s been added to the show. Normally for a big show like this we would get Raku teaming with Ram Kaichow as wife and husband again, Pom Harajuku hanging out with Max The Impaler under the team name Pompaler and Mahiro Kiryu getting into lookalike shenanigans with Kakeru Sekiguchi. Surely it’s not going to be that predictable here, right?

-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Kumadori defeated Shunma Katsumata (c) with an Inside Cradle (12:43 pm).
*Kumadori becomes the 1,903rd champion.
5. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Shinya Aoki & Junta Miyawaki (c) defeated Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata when Miyawaki pinned Hirata with the Sunshine Clutch (10:47).
*V1 for Shinya Aoki & Junta Miyawaki.
6. DDT Universal Title: Ryusuke Taguchi (c) defeated Daisuke Sasaki with the Cross Ankle Hold (14:18).
*V1 for Ryusuke Taguchi.
7. KO-D Openweight Title: MAO (c) defeated Daichi Sato with the Cannonball 450° (23:27).
*V2 for MAO.

Tomorrow could have been a wonderful 18th birthday for Daichi Sato if he had won today’s main event and become the youngest KO-D Openweight Champion in history. MAO had to nearly tear the ring apart to stop that from happening. When Sato kicked out of the Michinoku Driver and the Palm Strike, MAO took things a few steps further by pulling back the ring mat and removing the canvas so most of the boards were left exposed. The idea backfired and almost cost MAO the match when Sato gave him the Avalanche Fire Thunder onto the boards. MAO’s saving grace came when Sato decided to climb back up top to do the Mad Splash. It was blocked by MAO’s knees, opening up his chance to make a comeback. After a strike exchange MAO hit Sato with the Iai Kick followed by a Brainbuster onto the boards. He was then able to finish him off with the Cannonball 450° after all of that.

After the match MAO admitted he won using childish tactics but he lived up to his promise to give Sato a Summer vacation he would never forget. But since Sato is still in high school, he has some homework to finish. MAO told him to grow bigger and fight him again because Sato’s homework is to one day beat MAO no matter how long it takes him! Hisaya Imabayashi got into the ring to ask MAO who he wants to defend the KO-D Title against at Korkauen Hall on 21st September? MAO said there is one annoying person who has been hanging around DDT since last month’s Sumo Hall show and he wants to fight him again. Fuminori Abe walked down to the ring asking if MAO is talking about him? As someone who survives as a wrestler on the indies, Abe sees it as his goal to take down MAO. They have history with each other over the DDT Universal Title and now it will be reignited over the KO-D Championship!

The dance of DDT isn’t ending for Ryusuke Taguchi anytime soon. He remains the DDT Universal Champion after beating Daisuke Sasaki in a rematch that was 14 years in the making. Taguchi and Sasaki last had a singles match against each other in the 2012 Best Of The Super Jr. tournament. Plus they also had a match in the same tournament a year prior. Sasaki relied in MJ Paul & Ilusion to interfere early then tried to win by countout by hitting the Super Diving Elbow while Taguchi was seated in the front row. Taguchi made it back to the ring in time and used his wrestling knowledge to counter the Crossface Lock into the Angle Lock. Sasaki fought to reach for the ropes until Taguchi pulled him back and Elbow Dropped the back of his leg before applying another Ankle Hold. This time Sasaki couldn’t do anything about it and tapped out. Sasaki is now zero for four against Taguchi in singles matches but he unusually showed respect to him after the match by giving him a fist bump. Backstage he said he would even like to form a team with Taguchi so they can destroy DDT together!

Taguchi met with Akito after the match to learn who the next Universal Title challenger is going to be. It’s Antonio Honda and it turns out he’s closer to Taguchi than most people realise. Taguchi’s son is a student at the Tokyo College of Music and is also a fan of Honda’s band Daisetz, enough to become acquainted with Honda. According to Honda, when he beats Taguchi for the Universal Title he is going to take a picture of himself holding the belt with Taguchi’s son! Taguchi doesn’t appear to feel any insult over that because he already knows his son would rather pose for a picture with Honda instead of his father. But if Honda has a son then Taguchi will go take a picture with him for free if he wins on 21st September. This match is important enough for Taguchi to skip the New Japan show taking place in Hokkaido on the same day! Honda left the ring when the challenge was confirmed and Taguchi performed his dance with Kazuma Sumi to wind up his appearance for the show.

It looks like Shinya Aoki & Junta Miyawaki will be able to keep their promise to bring the KO-D Tag Team Titles to RIZIN next month. First they had to deal with Danshoku Dieno’s wrestling while Kazuki Hirata fought in a way that was more fired up than usual. Dieno’s Lip Locks did their damage to both champions and he felt the way to finish things was to go full Hell Gate leaning over the top rope. Aoki ended up going face first in there, incapacitating him. Hirata tried to capitalized by putting Miyawaki in the Miracle One Shot Cradle but Miyawaki kicked out of it and immediately countered with the Sunshine Clutch to pin Hirata while Dieno was too preoccupied to stop the three count. Now when Aoki fights Mikuru Asakura at RIZIN on 10th September, Miyawaki can carry the belts down to the ring for Aoki’s entrance!

Two championships were on the line when Shunma Katsumata fought Kumadori. Since one of the belts Katsumata held going into the match was the DDT Extreme Title that meant he could pick the match stipulation too. He chose a No Repeat Rule that prohibited wrestlers from using the same move twice (excluding strikes). Doing so would disqualify the wrestler and they also could lose by being knocked over the top rope out of the ring. Kumadori scored nearfalls with a Top Rope Frankensteiner and also the Air Double Helio. Katsumata kicked out of them and later found himself in a quandary when Kumadori kicked out of the Totonou Splash. He figured it out by using a German Suplex to win the match and retain his championship.

After the match Katsumata told Kumadori he’s been a part of DDT ever since he started wrestling so he is no longer considered as just a guest around here. Katsumata is certain he will be fighting with and against Kumadori more often in the future. He is looking forward to it and welcomes Kumadori as a member of the promotion. Kumadori shook his hand but then suddenly kicked him below the belt and pinned him with an Inside Cradle to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title, the other belt that was on the line in the match that just happened! He ran off, leaving Katsumata to quickly change the subject towards his next Extreme Title defence. He wants a rematch with the BASARA wrestler Ryota Nakatsu, feeling the need to surpass his former rival from DNA. BASARA later responded to DDT telling them Nakatsu accepted the challenge. The match will happen at DDT’s final Shinjuku FACE show taking place on 27th September.

There is less than a month left to go for the remaining Right To Challenge Gauntlets to be cashed in. Chris Brookes still has the standard red Gauntlet in his posession but Honda lost the purple Anytime Anywhere Anytime Anywhere on this show to its original creator Ilusion. That happened during the 3 Way Trios match between Strange Love Connection, DAMNATION T.A and FANTÔMES DRAMATIC. MJ Paul fought off KANON while Hideki Okatani hit the Claymore on Yukio Naya. After that Hinata Kasai see-sawed off the ropes to throw a punch at Okatani then got a High Kick to the head from Viento Levante. Honda suffered a Shining Gongitsune misfire but still had his wits about to cradle Ilusion for a nearfall. Ilusion kicked out though and used a Cravate style elevated cradle to pin Honda and win the match. After the match Ilusion bragged about being the holder of all the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles, the Sasadango Title belt and now the Right To Challenge AAAA Gauntlet. He warned the holder of the other Gauntlet that he is going to cash in whenever he wants and then on 21st September he’ll use that Gauntlet he wins to take some other loser’s championship! Meanwhile Okatani said SLC have made the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles worthless and they should be thankful that DAMNATION T.A are challenging them for those belts.

Abe got all the preparation he needed to set up his KO-D Title challenge by teaming up with Jun Akiyama earlier on the card. His trusty Snap Punch hit the target that is Yuki Ueno’s face but giving a Penalty Kick to To-y made his opponent go wild and slap anybody who got close to him. Abe cut off the unusual comeback with a Knuckle Punch and had Akiyama nearby to give To-y a Running Knee Strike to halt any momentum To-y was building up. Abe then tangled To-y up in the Manjigatama and pulled him down to the mat to stretch him into submission.

A bunch of DDT veterans walked down memory lane as four members of Smile Squash reunited in the opening match. Soma Takao will be leaving DDT soon so this could be the last time he gets to team with HARASHIMA, Akito & Yasu Urano all at the same time. They fought at a disadvantage from the get go when the other team launched the first attack. Akito fought off Sumi while HARASHIMA went blow to blow with Takeshi Masada. Later Yuya Koroku led his team to all gang up on Takao with Masami Inahata giving him a Tilt-O-Whirl Slam for a nearfall. All of Smile Squash then came in to attack Inahata one after another ending with a Running Elbow Butt from Takao for a two count. After that Inahata was pretty much done and Takao finished him off with the Gin And Tonic. Backstage Akito told Takao that DDT will give him the best possible send-off that the promotion can offer him when he leaves in October. Takao appreciates it and joked he could still show up in DDT on his own as a freelancer after he leaves.

The pre-show match had Tomomitsu Matsunaga perhaps revealing a bit too much about where his priorities lie when he exclaimed jealousy towards Yuni for becoming a college student because he now gets to hang out with college girls. Yuni also assisted Yuki Ishida in trying to take down Naomi Yoshimura but in the end, Yoshimura threw down Ishida with the Harai-goshi to get the win for his team.

In the middle of the show Sanshiro Takagi came down to the ring and invited Super Sasadango Machine to come join him. He brought up that it’s been four years since the Muscle sub-brand ended. Sasadango’s project was key in developing DDT’s wrestlers into what they are today and the time has come for it to come back for the sake of improving D GENERATIONS as well as Kaisei Takechi. Sasadango understood and agreed to do a Muscle kind of show again as soon as DDT can set one up for him. It turns out they found an available date for Korakuen Hall open for 1st October so they can go book that. Imabayashi went into a panic thinking it would be impossible to pull off but Akito and Sasadango both think this next revival of Muscle can be successfully pulled off with only one month of notice.
