1. Pom Harajuku defeated Shion Kanzaki with the Pom de Justice (6:45).
2. 3 Way Match: Hyper Misao defeated Chika Nanase and Ren Konatsu when Misao pinned Konatsu with La Magistral Cradle (11:07).
3. Mizuki & Uta Takami defeated Shoko Nakajima & Momo Sato when Mizuki submitted Sato with the Southern Cross (9:54).
4. Yuki Kamifuku defeated Raku with the Famouser (8:43).
5. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe defeated Kira Summer & Marz when Tatsumi pinned Marz after the Daydream Eternity (10:45).
6. Princess Tag Team Titles Next Challenger Decision Match – 3 Way Tag Match: Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro defeated Miyu Yamashita & Sakura Hattori and HIMAWARI & Toga when Aino pinned HIMAWARI after the Updraft!! Overdrive (13:13).
7. Suzume, Arisu Endo & Shino Suzuki defeated Yuki Arai, Wakana Uehara & Mifu Ashida when Suzume pinned Ashida with the Ring A Bell (13:49).

During the main event, Mifu Ashida and Shino Suzuki faced off, pom poms versus tour flag. When they collided Suzuki was left with a broken flag that left her in anguish. Suzume & Arisu Endo helped her get some revenge by grabbing Ashida and getting Suzuki to triple team her. Yuki Arai had Suzume scouted by countering the Ring A Bell into the Full Nelson Buster. However she & Wakana Uehara were taken out by Endo & Suzuki. Then when it all came down to Suzume against Ashida, Suzume got the win by giving her the Ring A Bell. After the match Suzume praised Suzuki for not giving up when her flag got broken. Backstage both Endo & Suzuki gave advice for Suzume to beat Arai. Endo warned her not to move around too much or else her legs could get tangled up. Suzuki said Arai is really into squishy toys right now so Suzume plays with one in front of her it will distract her. Suzume found neither piece of advice to be helpful. Ashida is becoming worried that she is holding Arai back because she is the one losing their tag matches. However Ashida & Uehara told Arai they can be her cheering group while she prepares to defend the Princess Of Princess Title against Suzume next month. The three of them together can become Kyoto x Cheer Tag!

Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed came out on top of the 3 Way Match to become the No. 1 Contenders for the Princess Tag Team Titles. They found K!SS// to be the stronger of the two opposing teams but HIMAWARI & Toga were enough of a wild card to keep the other teams on their toes. It got to the point where the third party would always cut someone off from winning the match. Yuki Aino finally found the breakthrough by diving onto Miyu Yamshita & Sakura Hattori outside the ring. She then threw Hattori back in for Kazashiro to give her the Fisherman Buster but HIMAWARI broke the pin. From there Prism Greed fought off HIMAWARI & Toga, leading to Aino & Kazashiro giving HIMAWARI the Updraft!! Overdrive for the victory.

After the match, Daydream climbed into the ring to meet their next challengers. Prism Greed said they are at their absolute best right now but Rika Tatsumi’s response was Daydream is also super motivated. They’re motivated enough that they could fight Prism Greed right now! However, Tatsumi would rather build up excitement for the title match. Miu Watanabe agreed and cannot wait for it to happen on 3rd October. Backstage Kazashiro talked about the overwhelming experience she’s gained since the team last challenged for the titles back in January. Meanwhile Daydream are describing them like a couple that’s just started dating while they themselves are like an old married couple nowadays. K!SS// are frustrated that they haven’t gotten close to the Princess Tag Titles yet but they won’t give up on their goal. Toga thought she & HIMAWARI did pretty well because they aren’t a regular tag team like the others. They’ll continue to work hard together and may even team up again in the future, especially if it means Toga no longer gets hit by HIMAWARI’s Hair Whips.

Raku wanted to give a gift to Yuki Kamifuku at the start of their match. She held a bag and told Kamifuku that inside it was a jacket identical to the one she was wearing right now. Kamiyu took a look inside and Raku suddenly pulled the bag over her head and then Cradled her for a nearfall! Kamiyu got her own back by giving Raku a Double Eyepoke afterwards. Raku later took her own jacket and put it on Kamifuku. It felt so comfy that Kamifuku started feeling sleepy. She was thrown out of the ring and started to take a nap on the floor so Raku dragged her up to the entrance. Raku then told the ref to silently count up to 20 so she could win by count out. The plan was working until Rise Shirai announced on the microphone that the count reached 10, immediately waking Kamifuku up. She got back in the ring to beat Raku up and win the match.

The next “HYPE!” show is coming up soon and Hyper Misao still hasn’t finished her script yet, as usual. She brought her laptop to the ring and told her opponents she was withdrawing from the 3 Way Match so she could make progress with her work. Ren Konatsu didn’t believe her and attacked her from behind to start the match. Chika Nanase joined in and the two stomped away while Misao tried to protect her laptop. Misao had no choice but to wrestle the match. Konatsu grabbed the laptop and threatened to break it until Misao warned her that she’d be responsible for “HYPE! 4” not got going ahead. Konatsu got scared so she handed the laptop to Nanase who then safely gave it over to Fumirin. When Fumirin turned her back to find a place to put down the laptop, Misao sprayed both of her opponents in their faces. She asked Fumirin to hand her back the laptop and then pinned Konatsu with La Magistral Cradle.

There was an announcement of Tokyo Joshi Pro doing a special collaboration with the Choshi Electric Railway for Shion Kanzaki’s homecoming show on 12th October. There will be a train departing from Choshi Station at lunchtime and Raku will serve as the special conductor for the final stretch of the route as the train approaches the nearest station to the show’s venue. Shino Suzuki will also be in charge of the in-train announcements. Keep in mind this is not a train journey exclusive for people going to the show. The regular public will still be on board too!

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SHINJUKU FACE COUNTDOWN SERIES – I WON’T CRY THERE’S NO WAY I WILL CRY”, 27/09/2026
Shinjuku FACE

1. Yuki Kamifuku Vs Wakana Uehara

Kamiyu’s last singles match of the month is against her Ober Eats partner, Wakana Uehara. As the days count down toward her retirement it will soon be time to wonder what her final match is going to be. Maybe TJPW will put on one of their wacky Gauntlet or Rumble matches so she gets to fight everybody in short bursts one last time each.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII”, 03/10/2026
Tokyo EBARA WAVE Arena Ota

1. 3 Way Tag Match: Raku & X Vs Pom Harajuku & X Vs Mahiro Kiryu & X

Last weekend Shoko Nakajima wrestled at a SETUP show in Thailand and beat Matcha to win the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title. Her first defence is set for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII” against an opponent to be determined. It has been noted by TJPW that the challenger selection is not limited to Asia and it is possible Nakajima’s opponent could be from anywhere around the world. At this point in her career, Nakajima has become an accomplished wrestler who has competed worldwide and is ready to be tested by whoever TJPW or SETUP can find.

DDT “NANIWA PRO WRESTLING ROAD 2026”, 04/10/2026
Osaka City Higashiyodogawa Ward Kumin Hall

1. Naomi Yoshimura 10th Anniversary Debut Match ~ Special Single Match: Zeus Vs Naomi Yoshimura

A few weeks back Naomi Yoshimura let everyone know that he asked DDT for to book a particular opponent for his 10th Anniversary match scheduled for October. DDT honored his request and it’s now been revealed his opponent is going to be Zeus! The Osaka strongman was the person who originally opened the doors for Yoshimura to get into pro wrestling through his bodybuilding gym. When Yoshimura graduated from high school, he trained under Zeus and credits him for turning his dream of becoming a pro wrestler into reality. Zeus has kept himself busy these past few years with running Osaka Pro, the company he was successfully able to revive back in 2022. He doesn’t wrestle outside of his home promotion that often so for DDT to get him on board for a match that means a lot to Yoshimura is quite a big deal.

DDT Around The World – August 2026

September 1, 2026

There is going to come a point where I have to rename this series TJPW Around The World because DDT is solely focusing on their domestic business right now while Tokyo Joshi Pro’s wings are well and truly spread by now. Konosuke Takeshita is the DDT link that keeps the current name remaining for now and I think it won’t last that way forever. TJPW’s international plan has returned to the stage where their wrestlers are winning, defending or challenging for other company’s championships. It’s a nice reminder that these women still have a lot to offer now that they’re no longer being needed for TJPW’s main event scene. As we approach the final months of the year we have another Dallas return to look forward to. What 2027 will have on offer is currently a mystery.

RIOT CITY “MEAN ST MAYHEM – FROM RIOT WITH LOVE”, 01/08/2026
Steam Jacket Brewing, Melbourne, Australia

1. Miki Fortune & Zak Sabbath defeated Kira Summer & Havok when Fortune pinned Summer after a Double Stomp/Death Valley Driver Combo (?:??).

At the end of July we saw that Kira Summer was able to beat her sister Miki Fortune in a match that dragged the whole family into their drama. They faced off again a couple of days later in Riot City Wrestling this time in an intergender tag match. Fortune teamed up with her husband Zak Sabbath to beat Summer and her tag partner Havok. Victory came thanks to Sabbath spitting Mist into Havok’s face, leaving Summer helpless against the two-on-one disadvantage from that point onward.

AEW “COLLISION”, 26/08/2026 (Aired 29/08/2026)
OVO Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland

1. Konosuke Takeshita defeated The Beast Mortos with the Raging Fire (10:18).

You know, a match between Takeshita and The Beast Mortos happening in the UK sounds like something that could have happened during the peak era of BritWres. Like during a Super Strong Style 16 weekend or something. Kyle Fletcher would have been nearby either way just like he was here. He attacked Takeshita after the match, hitting him with the AEW International Title and then laying him out with the Brainbuster.

EVE “EVE X THE WORLD 2”, 28/08/2026
Big Penny Social, London, England

1. EVE International Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Kay Lee Ray with the Skull Kick (26:03).
*V1 for Miyu Yamashita.

London had a packed weekend to close out the month because of AEW’s return to Wembley. Miyu Yamashita had a big role to play on Friday night where she headlined an EVE show against a newly invigorated Kay Lee Ray. She successfully retained the EVE International Title after a hard fought match but things only got more chaotic from there. First, Kris Statlander walked out. She had won the EVE Title earlier in the show and made it known she wants a rematch with Yamashita. However she brushed past Ray to get into the ring, causing Ray to get back in and start a fight with her. Yamashita kept her nose out of their business and let them fight but then Marina Shafir suddenly got in the ring behind Yamashita and grabbed her in a choke hold to leave her laying!

SETUP “UNDER THE SAME MOON – PUMI 15TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW”, 29/08/2026
The Circus Studio, G Village, Bangkok, Thailand

1. SETUP All Asia Women’s Title: Shoko Nakajima defeated Matcha (c) with the Diving Senton (11:16).
*Matcha fails in V5. Shoko Nakajima becomes the 5th SETUP All Asia Women’s Champion!

The Southeast Asian scene reached a milestone this year regarding the promoter and SETUP owner Pumi Boonyatud. He’s been part of the wrestling industry for 15 years now and put together a big show to celebrate the occasion. He was shown a video of messages from people around the Asian wrestling scene. The Japanese messages were from Hiroshi Tanahashi, Naomichi Marufuji, Sanshiro Takagi, Daisuke Sasaki, Momo Kohgo, Tetsuya Koda, Raku, Pom Harajuku, Emi Sakura and the ChocoPro roster. TJPW were invited to send over someone to challenge Matcha for the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title, a championship that’s been held by TJPW wrestlers in the past. The champion gave a pretty strong hint over who she wanted to face, telling TJPW to send someone “Big” to fight her. Needless to say, Shoko Nakajima became her next challenger and the Big Kaiju beat her to become the new All Asia Women’s Champion! Nakajima was almost beaten by Matcha’s Saito Suplex but she recovered and hit the Diving Senton for the title change.

AEW “ALL IN LONDON”, 30/08/2026
Wembley Stadium, London, England

1. AEW International Title – 3 Way Match: Kazuchika Okada defeated Kyle Fletcher (c) and Konosuke Takeshita when Okada pinned Fletcher with the Rainmaker (13:13).
*Kyle Fletcher fails in V4. Kazuchika Okada becomes the 15th AEW International Champion!

Takeshita is now taking his turn as the third wheel in this feud with The Don Callis Family. The 3 Way Match told the story of Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada purposely getting in each other’s way to and become the crown jewel of the Family. Takeshita tried his best to take advantage while fighting clean (he refused to attack his opponents with a screwdriver when he had the chance) and did a sweet looking double cover from a German Suplex for a nearfall. However Fletcher dropped Takeshita with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster onto the turnbuckle only for Okada to take down Fletcher with the Rainmaker. Okada took a split second to consider pinning Takeshita before choosing to lay on top of Fletcher for the three count. That way he can say he pinned the champion to win back this title.

KITSUNE “KAMIYU GOES HOLLYWOOD”, 30/08/2026
Xander Sports Complex, Carson, California, USA

1. Yuki Kamifuku & Alexis Lee defeated Zara Zakher & Dark Sheik when Kamifuku pinned Sheik with the Diving Famouser (?:??).

The month ended with Yuki Kamifuku and friends travelling over to California where Kitsune put her front and centre in the marketing for their show. Alexis Lee went along to team with her (and Mei Suruga was there too) for a match against Zara Zakher & Dark Sheik. Lee helped make sure that the spotlight would remain shining on Kamiyu in the end. Kamifuku gave Sheik a big Superplex and Lee cut off Zakher with a Spear. Kamifuku later Dropkicked Sheik towards the corner where Lee gave her the Sister Abigail that left Sheik stunned. Kamifuku then scored the win by hitting the Diving Famouser. After the match a bunch of the wrestlers surrounded the ring to congratulate Kamifuku for her career.

6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: MAO, KANON & Viento Levante (w/ KIMIHIRO) Vs Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kaisei Takechi

Next weekend MAO is going home to Miyagi as the KO-D Openweight Champion for the first time! It feels like he’s made that promise several times over the years and now he finally gets to do it. Kaisei Takechi being in the match too might help draw more attention to the main event.

It’s been a while since The Apex had a tag team match without the rest of Strange Love Connection involved. Yuki Iino has a busy NOAH schedule coming up but he and Yukio Naya would be a good KO-D Tag Team Titles defence for Junta Miyawaki to try and achieve with Shinya Aoki somewhere down the line.

The next DDT match for Kumadori is here so it should also turn into a chaotic scramble for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title with all those people in the ring.

Takechi and paleyouth are going to be dealing with each other a lot more with both parties being involved in the revival of Muscle happening later this year.

DDT “YUKI UENO 10TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW -IN MY MIND “10”-”, 13/09/2026

6. Special Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & To-y Vs Chihiro Hashimoto & Kazuma Sumi
7. Yuki Ueno 10th Anniversary Match ~ Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Shunma Katsumata

There are going to be two DDT shows happening at Korakuen Hall in September. The first is Yuki Ueno’s anniversary show. He’s added a Tag Team Rumble with a lot of mixed up teams in there. Also he figured the best place to put a crazy Falls Count Anywhere match between Minoru Suzuki, Sanshiro Takagi, Chris Brookes, Kuroshio TOKYO Japan and Takeshi Masada is in the pre-show. What is this, an AEW PPV?

DDT “DRAMATIC INFINITY 2026 ~AUTUMN OF PRO WRESTLING~”, 21/09/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: KANON, Yukio Naya & Viento Levante (c) (w/ KIMIHIRO & YUZUKI) Vs Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Ilusion
2. DDT Universal Title: Ryusuke Taguchi (c) Vs Antonio Honda
3. KO-D Openweight Title: MAO (c) Vs Fuminori Abe

MAO is quick to use his KO-D Title reign as something he can settle past grudges with. He has noticed Fuminori Abe has been hanging around the DDT undercard for the last few weeks and he has unfinished business with him. Two years ago MAO and Abe feuded over the DDT Universal Title where the buildup revolved around Abe getting kicked so hard during a match that it made him throw up a little. There’s no worry about that happening again but Abe does consider MAO to be a rival among his generation, one that he must defeat!

The story between Ryusuke Taguchi and Antonio Honda is a little more personal. Taguchi’s son is a fan of Honda’s band so Honda promised to win the Universal Title and pose for a picture with the son! That doesn’t bother Taguchi too much because his son was never interested in taking a picture with his dad holding any of the championships he’s won in the past.

Earlier this month Ryota Nakatsu beat Shunma Katsumata at BASARA’s Korakuen show. The rematch is going down at DDT’s final show to be held in Shinjuku FACE. Katsumata is also putting the DDT Extreme Title on the line to motivate him into finally surpassing his DNA rival.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII”, 03/10/2026
Tokyo EBARA WAVE Arena Ota

1. 3 Way Tag Match: Raku & X Vs Pom Harajuku & X Vs Mahiro Kiryu & X
2. VENYU Finale: Yuki Kamifuku & VENY Vs X & X
3. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Winners Of 05/09 Decision Match
4. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Suzume

Mystery partners are being teased for a 3 Way Tag Match that’s been added to the show. Normally for a big show like this we would get Raku teaming with Ram Kaichow as wife and husband again, Pom Harajuku hanging out with Max The Impaler under the team name Pompaler and Mahiro Kiryu getting into lookalike shenanigans with Kakeru Sekiguchi. Surely it’s not going to be that predictable here, right?

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “BECOMING” Results

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “BECOMING”, 29/08/2026
TOKYO SQUARE In Itabashi
211 Fans – Super No Vacancy

1. Chika Nanase defeated Shion Kanzaki with the Inari Torii (7:01).
2. Wakana Uehara defeated Momo Sato with the Banana Pillow (6:58).
3. Mifu Ashida defeated Shino Suzuki with the German Suplex (7:16).
4. Haru Kazashiro defeated Kira Summer with the Izayoi (8:20).
5. HIMAWARI & Toga defeated Uta Takami & Ren Konatsu when HIMAWARI submitted Konatsu with the Single Leg Crab Hold (13:37).

Today’s Tokyo Joshi Pro show exclusively featured wrestlers who debuted from 2023 onwards. For HIMAWARI & Toga it gave them some valuable preparation time as they aim to become No. 1 Contenders for the Princess Tag Team Titles. The main event went well for them. Toga grabbed Uta Takami in the Muffler Hold and HIMAWARI capitalised on Ren Konatsu missing the Aries Comet by making her give up to the Half Crab Hold. Toga talked about how happy she was to do this show because the young TJPW wrestlers got to work together to improve instead of trying to follow in the footsteps of their senpais. HIMAWARI promised that the young wrestlers will work even harder to make TJPW even more exciting.

Backstage HIMAWARI & Toga admitted to each other that they can’t really call themselves juniors anymore since they’re going to enter their fourth year as wrestlers soon. They’re ready for the upcoming No. 1 Contenders match and are counting on it being a 3 Way Tag to score themselves the upset victory. HIMAWARI has been in a lot of 3 Way matches and will use that experience to win. Toga pointed out they have each other to rely on as allies while 3 Way singles matches usually just have enemies.

No Repeat Rule, Takeshita And Chihiro Back Against Each Other, VENYU Finale

August 28, 2026

DDT “LAST SUMMER STANDING ~SUMMER’S RECKONING~”, 30/08/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

0. Dark Match: Naomi Yoshimura & Tomomitsu Matsunaga Vs Yuni & Yuki Ishida
1. Special 8-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano, Akito & Soma Takao Vs Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku, Kazuma Sumi & Masami Inahata
2. Special Tag Match: Yuki Ueno & To-y Vs Jun Akiyama & Fuminori Abe
3. 3 Way 6-Man Tag Match: KANON, Yukio Naya & Viento Levante (w/ KIMIHIRO & YUZUKI) Vs Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul & Ilusion Vs Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Hinata Kasai
4. DDT Extreme Title & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title ~ A One Time Trump Card -NO REPEAT RULE-: Shunma Katsumata (c/c) Vs Kumadori
5. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Shinya Aoki & Junta Miyawaki (c) Vs Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata
6. DDT Universal Title: Ryusuke Taguchi (c) Vs Daisuke Sasaki
7. KO-D Openweight Title: MAO (c) Vs Daichi Sato

The stakes for the match between Shunma Katsumata and Kumadori have suddenly grown higher. Katsumata recently won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title so he now has to defend that belt alongside the DDT Extreme Title. He also decided on the match stipulation where he and Kumadori are not allowed to repeat their moves. The match can be won either under normal circumstances, by throwing your opponent over the top rope out of the ring or if they get disqualified for doing the same move twice. However striking moves are generic enough to not count towards the stipulation so Kumadori can at least rely on punching and kicking to make up for his limited moveset.

The Right To Challenge Gauntlet holders going into this weekend’s show are Chris Brookes (Red) and Antonio Honda (Purple AAAA).

4. Special Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & To-y Vs Chihiro Hashimoto & Kazuma Sumi
5. Yuki Ueno 10th Anniversary Match ~ Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Shunma Katsumata

Why did it take seven years to run back Konosuke Takeshita Vs Chihiro Hashimoto? Okay, okay, I know. He’s been busy with AEW and New Japan while every time Hashimoto came to DDT it was to fight either Yuki Iino or Shinya Aoki. But hey we get To-y and Kazuma Sumi get thrown into the mix as well.

6. KING OF “Non-Alcoholic” DRUNK 2026: Danshoku Dieno Vs Takeshi Masada Vs Daichi Sato Vs Yuni

The show is happening (or might even be over) while I type this but this is the only time I have for the next day or two to write a news update without worrying about it getting in the way of other stuff.

The Non-Alcoholic KING OF DRUNK match is going on last for the Beer Garden show? The game’s gone!

For the second time this year Daisuke Sasaki is having trouble sleeping because he’s been thinking about the crocodile incident that took place at Shakujii Park in Nerima back in 1993. He has pulled out of today’s show and DDT have decided to replace him with Crocodile D Sasa.

4. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe Vs Kira Summer & Marz
5. Yuki Kamifuku Vs Raku
6. Yuki Arai, Wakana Uehara & Mifu Ashida Vs Suzume, Arisu Endo & Shino Suzuki
7. Princess Tag Team Titles Next Challenger Decision Match – 3 Way Tag Match: Miyu Yamashita & Sakura Hattori Vs Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro Vs HIMAWARI & Toga

There is going to be a Princess Tag Team Titles match going on at “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII” next month but no clear contenders have emerged due to everybody focusing on the Tokyo Princess Cup. A 3 Way Tag has been put together to solve that problem. Two of the three teams are already established. That’s K!SS// and Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed. The third team are the wild cards of HIMAWARI & Toga, the two young wrestlers who both reached the Princess Cup semi finals this year.

Tokyo Joshi Pro is welcoming another Australian wrestler for a show and she’s already a “Lil” familiar with the brand. Marz is from Brisbane but has been wrestling around the world this year. That includes a tag match she had with Toga in Las Vegas during WrestleMania Week. She’s already in Japan and has been wrestling plenty for Ice Ribbon lately but this is going to be her TJPW debut.

DDT “SENDAI NEW LEGEND 2026 ~MAPO YAKISOBA~”, 06/09/2026

1. Makoto Oishi Vs Masami Inahata
2. DAMNATION T.A Vs paleyouth!: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Ilusion Vs Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: MAO, KANON & Viento Levante (w/ KIMIHIRO) Vs Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kaisei Takechi

As promised by Kaisei Takechi, he wants to wrestle more often on DDT shows that are held outside of Tokyo. He also needs to catch up if he wants to reach his goal of total matches wrestled in 2026.

A nice return to DDT is on the cards for Makoto Oishi so he can give Masami Inahata a test in the ring.

DDT “RING NO AKIBASHO 2026”, 09/09/2026
Shinjuku FACE

1. Special Single Match: Viento Levante Vs Ilusion
2. Special Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao Vs Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato Vs To-y, Kazuma Sumi & Kaisei Takechi

Over the years Soma Takao has been both an ally and an enemy to Daisuke Sasaki. With his days as a DDT wrestler coming to a close, Takao is going to team with Sasaki one more time.

The rivalry between Viento Levante and Ilusion continues as they meet once again a few weeks before they fight for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “BECOMING”, 29/08/2026
TOKYO SQUARE In Itabashi

1. Chika Nanase Vs Shion Kanzaki
2. Haru Kazashiro Vs Kira Summer
3. Shino Suzuki Vs Mifu Ashida
4. Wakana Uehara Vs Momo Sato
5. HIMAWARI & Toga Vs Uta Takami & Ren Konatsu

We already have DDT establishing D GENERATIONS as the shows dedicated to their younger wrestlers. Tokyo Joshi Pro are doing their own twist on things with “BECOMING”, an event that only features wrestlers who debuted in 2023 or later. If this idea catches on I can see it being used to host some matches for the Next Generation Tournament if that comes back for another year this year.

BASARA “BASARA 315 ~UTAGE~”, 11/09/2026
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Yasu Urano Vs Takeru Inoue, Tomoki Hatano & Hajime

The build up for the next Iron Fist Tag Team Titles brings in some guys from HEAT-UP. According to the company’s profile on the wrestler, Hajime has a Capoeira background. I need to see for myself how much he puts that skill into his wrestling because that style has been absent around this corner of the wrestling world ever since Pedro Takaishi from Muscle retired.

BASARA “SHINJUKU FACE COUNTDOWN SERIES – BASARA 316 ~KOO~”, 23/09/2026
Shinjuku FACE

1. Hardcore 6-Man Tag Match: Isami Kodaka, FUMA & Shota Nakagawa Vs SAGAT, Lil’ Kraken & Minoru Fujita
2. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino (c) Vs Takeru Inoue & Tomoki Hatano
3. Union MAX Title -Dosukoi Gethering Presents-: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) Vs Ryota Nakatsu

The very first match in BASARA history had Ryota Nakatsu in it and took place inside Shinjuku FACE. So it is fitting that BASARA’s final show in the venue is being headlined by Nakatsu challenging Takumi Tsukamoto for the Union MAX Title.

Next to BASARA, HEAT-UP is the next promotion where Takeru Inoue wrestles the most often. He has formed a tag team with Tomoki Hatano over there called Death Volleyball Club, named after the devotion both wrestlers have towards the sport. Well, devotion might be a strong word but they’ve both been part of a volleyball club.  They also wanted a name that sounds cooler than Aijin Tag and came up with that. Now Inoue has tricked Aijin Tag into giving Death Volleyball Club a title shot despite having won nothing to deserve it.

Indie wrestler Shota Nakagawa makes his BASARA debut as part of a Hardcore trios match. He used to wrestle in Ganbare☆Pro for a while between 2017 to 2019 but I haven’t heard what he’s been up to since then.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII”, 03/10/2026
Tokyo EBARA WAVE Arena Ota

1. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Suzume

The next big match TJPW is putting together could be seen as a culmination of all the work that was done to push the second generation of main eventers. Suzume has won the Tokyo Princess Cup while holding the International Princess Title and it has encouraged her to get greedy. She now wants to fight Yuki Arai for the Princess Of Princess Title! Suzume has said she has no intentions of unifying the two championships if she wins this match. She already has an idea in mind of how to defend the two titles separately if given the opportunity. Arai meanwhile is putting all of her energy into defending the Princess Title to the point where she believes she is at her limit. She doesn’t think she could handle becoming a Double Crown champion so the International Princess Title will not be on the line for this match.

The venue we used to know as Ota Ward Gymnasium has now been renamed EBARA WAVE Arena Ota. The Ebara Corporation got the naming rights for the venue since April and the deal is to remain in place until 2030.

2. Sakura Hattori defeated Haru Kazashiro with the Kitcho Kagome (8:53).
3. Enjoy Summer To The Fullest! Bon Odori Dance Match: Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Hyper Misao, Mahiro Kiryu & Shino Suzuki when Aino submitted Suzuki with the Full Nelson Of Love And Fire (11:41).
4. Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara defeated Sumire Natsu & Mifu Ashida when Kamifuku pinned Ashida with the Famouser (12:23).
5. HIMAWARI & Toga defeated Chika Nanase & Kira Summer when Toga submitted Nanase with the Modified Muffler Hold (12:41).
6. Mizuki, Mei Suruga & Uta Takami defeated Miu Watanabe, Arisu Endo & Ren Konatsu when Mizuki pinned Konatsu with the Cutie Special (12:59).
7. Yuki Arai & Miyu Yamashita defeated Hiroyo Matsumoto & Shoko Nakajima when Arai submitted Nakajima with the Scorpion Death Lock (15:51).
8. 13th Tokyo Princess Cup – Final: Suzume defeated Rika Tatsumi with the Spring Ring A Bell (20:46).

This year’s winner of the Tokyo Princess Cup is someone who is also on track to becoming the queen bee of Tokyo Joshi Pro! All it took was for Suzume to surpass the very person who inspired her to become a pro wrestler in the first place. She faced Rika Tatsumi in the final with both women fighting to win the tournament for the first time. Tatsumi used the fan streamers to her advantage by wrapping them all over Suzume, throwing her into the front row and then jumping into her with a Hip Attack. She then targeted Suzume’s legs in an effort to put a stop to any comebacks. Suzume fought off the persistant Hip Attacks and Choke Holds to catch Tatsumi with a counter attack. There was almost a double knockout when Tatsumi did the Twist Of Fate only for Suzume to hit back with a last ditch Ring A Bell. Tatsumi caught another Ring A Bell to turn it into the Dragon Sleeper but Suzume was able to eventually roll out of it. She then gave Tatsumi a taste of her own medicine by grabbing her neck to choke her! Tatsumi overpowered it and tried to put Suzume in a Sleeper Hold until Suzume used the ropes to bounce herself free and then launch herself into the Spring Ring A Bell for the three count!

After the match Suzume said she became stronger because she admires how much Tatsumi lives her life to the fullest. Today they got to fight each other with all of their might and Suzume couldn’t be happier. She remembers when Tatsumi would call her her arch-nemesis and she is now never going to let that go. Tatsumi gave Suzume a cheeky poke to the head and then hugged her before leaving the ring. Next, Suzume said she has now conquered the hot summer and won’t be stopping there. She called out Yuki Arai to challenge her for the Princess Of Princess Title! She thought Arai is the person who is shining the brightest in TJPW but after today Suzume thinks she can shine even brighter! She is still going to defend her International Princess Title in the meantime but she also wants to fight Arai for the Princess Title too! Arai said she wants to fight Suzume so she can also pour out her love for TJPW. She will give her the title shot at “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII” on 3rd October! Suzume ended the show by telling everyone the day after tomorrow will be the 7th Anniversary of her debut. Before she became a pro wrestler she thought the only dreams she could hold onto were those she had when she was a child. But TJPW has taught her she can have as many dreams as she wants at any age! Meanwhile Tatsumi backstage complained about working so hard this summer that she should be rewarded for it with a raise in salary plus other special bonuses from the company.

Hiroyo Matsumoto was one of the guests paying a visit to TJPW today. Next month she is going to team up with Miyu Yamashita at a “TAKAYAMANIA” show but today they were on opposite sides of the semi-main event tag match. Matsumoto also used this time to get a feel for Yuki Arai, taunting the champion to give her her best shot. Matsumoto would later do her part in holding back Yamashita, lifting her up into a Torture Rack while Shoko Nakajima tried to finish off Arai. But Arai dodged the 619 and threw down Nakajima with the Full Nelson Buster. She then put Nakajima in the Scorpion Death Lock and used all of her strength to make Nakajima tap out to the move. Arai said she is going to sleep well tonight because she avenged her loss to Nakajima in the tournament. As for fighting Matsumoto again, Arai thinks that is kind of a scary idea but she would like to fight her again and again to grow strong enough to beat her. Nakajima was disappointed because she considers Matsumoto to be a pioneer for kaiju wrestlers and Nakajima ended up becoming a punching bag like Anguirus in front of “Lady Godzilla”. Matsumoto admitted she doesn’t know a lot about Anguirus and promised to look it up for Nakajima.

There’s no official name yet for Mizuki, Mei Suruga & Uta Takami but the report on the TJPW website refers to them as The KAWAII Trio so let’s go with that for now. They were all a handful for their opponents. Takami accidentally snapped off Ren Konatsu’s toy sheep then annoyed her even more when she said she didn’t want it in the first place. Suruga stopped Miu Watanabe from giving Takami the Giant Swing and copied her ponytail pose. She then tried to do the Apple Mutilation on Watanabe but Watanabe powered out of it and gave her the Giant Swing instead. Arisu Endo went on a roll against Takami & Mizuki then helped Watanabe set Mizuki up for Konatsu’s Aries Comet. A scramble led to Mizuki taking out Watanabe with the Whirling Candy and then joining Takami in double teaming Konatsu until the Cutie Special ended the match.

Kira Summer spent the last month back in her home country of Australia and now has to catch up with her contemporaries in her first match back in TJPW. HIMAWARI greeted her with Hair Whips while Toga welcomed her back with Body Slams. Chika Nanase tried to even the playing field but ultimately failed. Her effort in avoiding the Absolute Zero was rewarded with an Elbow Smash from Toga that knocked her down. Toga then submitted her with the Muffler Hold that almost bent her over backwards.

For her debut in TJPW, Sumire Natsu told Yuki Kamifuku that she came here wanting to be treated like a serious wrestler. She then immediately contradicted herself by avoiding the opening lock up to gyrate for the fans instead. Kamifuku later said she wouldn’t allow the Bronco Buster to be used in TJPW so she and Natsu got into a Big Boot battle over it. Natsu eventually got to do the move on Kamifuku with Mifu Ashida cheering her on. Ober Eats were finally able to get rid of her when Wakana Uehara lifted Kamifuku up to do an Elevated Big Boot to knock Natsu out of the ring. Kamifuku then went on to pin Ashida with the Famouser. Kamifuku said backstage that as part of her retirement road she asked TJPW to bring in Natsu because she is a character unlike anyone else in the company. In the ring she is flamboyant, intense and over the top but away from that she is kind, considerate and has a strong sense of professionalism. She also thinks Uehara and Ashida could learn a lot about the various possibilities of pro wrestling just from experiencing 0.2% of Natsu. Wrestling in TJPW for the first time made Natsu so nervous, she forgot to bring her makeup bag which she admits is very unlike her. She came here with the goal of becoming a legend in one appearance rather than auditioning for a regular spot but now she is convinced she can make it here. She wants TJPW management to consider booking her more often even if it’s just as a favour to Kamiyu.

Both teams in Match #3 came up with a special rule to celebrate the end of summer. In order for a pinfall to be counted, the wrestlers would have to do a Bon Odori dance beforehand. Music played and everyone danced until Hyper Misao’s team attacked Pom Harajuku’s team from behind. Raku led her partners in the Oyasumi Express while the music played. Mahiro Kiryu used her Apology Knee Drop to try and do the dance. Yuki Aino put Shino Suzuki in the Full Nelson Of Love And Fire so Suzuki called for the music in order to try and dance her way out of the move. It actually worked and she almost pinned Aino with the Rolling Back Cradle afterward. Unfortunately Aino kicked out of it and quickly put Suzuki back in the Full Nelson to make her give up.

Two wrestlers who were both dealing with the disappointment of first round exits were put in the ring against each other in the undercard. The experience of Sakura Hattori won out against Haru Kazashiro in the end. After Kazashiro got a nearfall with a Low Cross Body, she wanted to use the Fisherman Suplex next. Instead, Hattori spun her way free and used a Leg Sweep to trip Kazashiro down. She then tangled her up in the Kitcho Kagome to pin her for the three count.

It’s been eight months since Shion Kanzaki debuted in TJPW and now that there is a rookie who debuted after her, the time has come for Kanzaki to earn her first win! She defeated Momo Sato to kick off the show, grabbing Sato in a Standing Armbar before slamming her down to the mat and wrenching in further for the submission. Sato did put up a fight by doing the Kneel Kick and a Crab Hold before that though. She said she trains with Sato a lot and knows how talented she is so she wasn’t sure she could beat her today. She wants to continue winning matches so she can go into her upcoming homecoming show with her head held high.

The show opening call that usually takes place with The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) included a special guest this time. A 4th grade elementary student named Yuzuki was chosen to join in with the group and tell everyone the show was starting. She said her favorite wrestlers are Kamifuku, Uehara and Raku.

At the start of the show it was announced that TJPW will be working with the manga author Go Nagai for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII” later this year. Nagai is known for his works including Cutie Honey, Devilman, Mazinger Z and UFO Robot Grendizer. He was also recently inducted into the Eisner Hall Of Fame. Nagai will be collaborating to work on the visual art used for the show’s promotional material.

Recently a new mascot named Tojojo appeared on social media claiming to be the new manager of TJPW. It teased news of an announcement to be made for this show and Rise Shirai revealed it is a Rooftop Garden Pro Wrestling event taking place at Gran Hammer in Shinbashi on 10th October. The show will consist of an all you can eat BBQ, a performance by The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling), a talk show featuring TJPW wrestlers and also mat pro wrestling matches that promised to include the use of water cannons.

7. Yuki Arai & Miyu Yamashita Vs Hiroyo Matsumoto & Shoko Nakajima
8. 13th Tokyo Princess Cup – Final: Suzume Vs Rika Tatsumi

We’ve come a long way from Suzume becoming a pro wrestler because she looked up to Rika Tatsumi. Now it is their fate to fight over the Tokyo Princess Cup! It will be the first time the final will pit one champion against the other, Suzume being the International Princess Champion and Tatsumi holding one of the Princess Tag Team Titles.

The two losing semi-finalists have to deal with the consolation prize of teaming up together HIMAWARI & Toga will be facing a newly motivated Chika Nanase (her homecoming show was recently announced) and the returning Kira Summer.

Whenever Tokyo Joshi Pro has two rookies who have yet to win a match it will be inevitable that they will be put in a match against each other so one of them can earn their first victory. Shion Kanzaki and Momo Sato are now being put in that position together.

Earlier this week a new Twitter account appeared and attracted the attention of the TJPW locker room. Over the following days it posted teases until today when it was revealed to be Tojojo, the brand new TJPW mascot. The promotion has been brainstorming on creating a mascot for a while now with everyone in the promotion drawing concept art of what it should look like. But what’s catching everyone there off guard is Tojojo has immediately claimed it will also be the new TJPW Manager. What that means we just have to wait and see.

4. Ken Ohka 25th Anniversary Match Part 3: Ken Ohka Vs Yumehito Imanari
5. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shuichiro Katsumura & Yuya Susumu (c) Vs Moeka Haruhi & Rydeen Hagane

The pair now called Sussun Katsun have become the new Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Champions. They made the same mistake a lot of champions make by saying they will take on any challenge thrown at them then get surprised when the challenge immediately appears in front of them. Moeka Haruhi & Rydeen Hagane have joined forces, describing their tag team like Beauty & The Beast. Hagane also doesn’t want everyone to forget that she was one of the first women to work with Ganbare☆Pro well before the Ganbare☆Joshi division was ever established. So if there is any wrestler who deserves to fight for a GanPro championship, it’s her.

Is three commemorative matches too much to celebrate one anniversary? Ken Ohka is enjoying his 25th year in wrestling so much he doesn’t want the good time to end. He challenge his good pal Yumehito Imanari to a singles match so he too can join in on the fun. Unfortunately Imanari has gotten fed up with GanPro relying on wrestler anniversaries so often to promote their big matches. There are other stories these matches can be booked around you know! Imanari will take the match with Ohka but only so he can take his anger out on Ohka for being so greedy.

To make things a little more awkward, young Sentaro Motoshima is going to celebrate the first anniversary of his debut match on the same show. Don’t worry Motoshima, Imanari’s not mad at you. I’m sure of it.

DDT “YUKI UENO 10TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW -IN MY MIND “10”-”, 13/09/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. 3 Way Match: Shinya Aoki Vs HARASHIMA Vs Akito
2. Special 6-Man Tag Match ~ No Tag Rules: Yuki Ueno, HUB & Daisuke Sasaki Vs Ilusion, Yuni & Daichi Sato
3. Special Tag Match: MAO & Yoshihiko Vs Kazuki Hirata & Kaisei Takechi
4. Yuki Ueno 10th Anniversary Match ~ Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Shunma Katsumata

From the mind of Yuki Ueno he will conjure up the trio of himself, HUB & Daisuke Sasaki has a possibly united force. The idea he has in mind is to put three skillful wrestlers together for a match against three young opponents who all have a world of potential ahead of them. Those three youngsters are Ilusion, Yuni & Daichi Sato. The immediate reaction from Sasaki is unhappiness that he and Ilusion will be on opposite teams.

Three days after Shinya Aoki fights in RIZIN, he will be returning to DDT for a 3 Way Match. If he gets beaten badly by Mikuru Asakura then maybe HARASHIMA and Akito could both take it easy on him.

Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: KANON, Yukio Naya & Viento Levante (c) (w/ KIMIHIRO & YUZUKI) Vs Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Ilusion

It all depends on how things are going with DAMNATION T.A over the next month. Ilusion has become addicted to collecting championships so he went and challenged Strange Love Connection all by himself without consulting the rest of the unit. Sasaki seems to be okay with it which would continue his current apathetic behavior over who ultimately calls the shots within the group. Hideki Okatani will be on the challenger team looking for a chance to become a champion again so soon after losing the DDT Extreme Title. SLC accepted Ilusion’s challenge because Viento Levante wants to beat him. KANON will also likely be motivated to defend the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles against the stable he once held the belts with before they kicked him out. Yukio Naya is just having a good time because it was his birthday recently and he gets to hang out with his friends a lot.
