An inter-promotional rivaly between Ganbare☆Joshi and Marvelous appears to be growing. At the previous GanJo show Mio Momono beat YuuRI. Since then Momono has been going around claiming she is the main representative of GanJo. Both YuuRI & the returning Yuna Manase weren’t going to take the disrespect lying down and agreed to team up as Nippon Ganbare☆Union again to get revenge. Momono called in Takumi Iroha to make it a two on two battle. The Marvelous team ended up standing tall again with Iroha taking Manase out of the ring so Momono could put YuuRI down for the second show in a row.

After the match Momono again called herself the representative of GanJo and claimed she successfully defended that title today. She put aside the jokes in order to thank Manase & YuuRI for the invitation to wrestle on today’s show. Iroha then teased YuuRI for all of the mistakes she made during the match. She does her best but also hasn’t been training hard enough, which hasn’t changed from when the two of them practiced together as rookies. Manase accepts that Momono now calls herself a GanJo wrestler because the title does not have to belong to just a select few wrestlers. However YuuRI promised to beat Momono to reclaim that spot and also replace her as the top Marvelous representative! Iroha said she will be waiting for GanJo and Ganbare☆Pro to come visit Marvelous in the future.

Sumire Natsu gave Yoshiko Hasegawa advice after their match on how to handle life as a freelance pro wrestler. When Natsu became a freelancer seven years ago she was anxious about whether she could survive in the industry. When Hasegawa turns freelance in April that means they will become business rivals! They will be fighting for the same small seat at the table so they have to do their best to beat the crap out of each other. As long as Hasegawa does not steal that seat from Natsu she will be happy to work together with her. She told Hasegawa she is now responsible for managing her own schedule and merchandise. She also told her the secret about what to do whenever a promoter she does not know puts on a show but that was for Yoppy’s ears only.

The mixed tag match begun with a tribute to the late Akira Toriyama when both teams got into a Kamehameha duel across the ring. The match almost came to a quick end after Riara took Low Kicks from Tyson Maeguchi and was almost counted out for a KO. She recovered and gave Alex Lee a Dropkick to continue fighting. Shota started using Riara as a weapon by Body Slamming her onto Maeguchi. He then tried to repeat the spot with a Suplex but this time Maeguchi rolled out of the way. The other team had their own problems when Lee accidentally hit Maeguchi with a Missile Dropkick. However she got her hands on Riara again and pinned her with the Vinco Plex for the win.

Banny Oikawa almost got to beat Kaho Kobayashi with a European Clutch. Kobayashi kicked out and then stunned her opponent with a Right High Kick. From there she used the 120% School Boy for the three count.

1. Special Single Match: Kizuna Tanaka defeated Riara with the California Roll (6:30).
2. Ram Kaichow & Sumire Natsu defeated Kaho Kobayashi & Banny Oikawa when Natsu pinned Oikawa with the Yoran (10:30).
3. Alex Lee & Yoshiko Hasegawa defeated Yappy & JC Storm when Hasegawa pinned Yappy with the Diving Double Knee Attack (13:06).
4. Special Single Match: Mio Momono defeated YuuRI with the German Suplex (16:02).

Mio Momono has wrestled on a Ganbare☆Pro show before but today was her first appearance on a Ganbare☆Joshi branded event. The current OZ Academy Openweight Champion faced GanJo’s own YuuRI in the main event but the title was not on the line. YuuRI missed the Swanton Bomb so tried scrambling for a Cradle pin. However Momono took control of the match and beat YuuRI down until she couldn’t kick out of the German Suplex. Momono introduced herself to the audience after the match. She said all of the women work hard on GanJo shows so in a way that makes her a part of GanJo too. She gave credit to YuuRI for her efforts and loves to fight her type of “dirty pro wrestling”. But Momono also said due to the difference in speed and stamina, YuuRI will never be able to beat her in this life. YuuRI said she admires Momono and will never stop admiring her. She is also confident that one day she will surpass her!

Yoppy pins Yappy! It is another win for Yoshiko Hasegawa as she gets ready to challenge Yuu for the EVE International Title on 23rd February. JC Storm went to Super Kick Hasegawa but she dodged it and Yappy took the kick instead. Alex Lee then attacked Yappy with a Super Kick and Missile Dropkick. That set Hasegawa to land the Diving Double Knee Attack on Yappy for the three count. Hasegawa said it was a big deal for her to win the match because it was full of wrestlers from around the world involved. She wants to compete and make contact with more foreign wrestlers. She thinks she can definitely win the International Title with this amount of momentum behind her.

There was a triple Low Blow spot that happened during Match #2. Sumire Natsu gave Kaho Kobayashi a Manhattan Drop and Kobayashi returned with an Elbow that hit Natsu below the belt. Then when Kobayashi went to do a Low Dropkick, Natsu pulled Daisuke Kiso in the way and his groin took the blow. Ram Kaichow held Kobayashi back while Natsu beat Banny Oikawa with the Shining Wizard followed by the Yoran.

In a match where both competitors were fighting for their first ever singles win, the visitor Kizuna Tanaka defeated Riara. Tanaka was able to withstand Riara’s Ankle Lock and hit back with an Elbow Strike and then roll her up with a California Roll to win a match for the first time. However Tanaka is not satisfied with the result and thinks she could have done even more. The match made her realize she needs to improve. Riara is keeping count of her own results and thinks she has lost over 30 matches in a row now. She wants to get better at wrestling and have a rematch with Kizuna in a few years time when she has grown as a wrestler.

Yuna Manase resigned from her role as the Ganbare☆Manager for GanJo. Her next appearance for the sub-brand will be as a wrestler on the 3rd March show. That is the last GanJo event being held under CyberFight before GanPro goes independent after March. Manase still supports the women who are leaving GanPro soon and will continue to do so. She encouraged the fans to do the same for them as well as those who are staying because everyone who has been in GanJo will always be a part of GanJo.

Look at the momentum Yoshiko Hasegawa has been getting lately. She was on the winning team in a Ganbare☆Joshi main event for the second time in a row and this time she scored the pinfall. Now granted, a lot of that was because of Yuu running over both Sumire Natsu & YuuRI with a single Cross Body and then hitting a Running Cannonball at YuuRI in the corner. Hasegawa finished off what was left by hitting YuuRI with the Diving Double Knee Attack.

After the match Yuu suggested that she and Hasegawa continue teaming together from now on. However Hasegawa is feeling good with the momentum she’s been building and she remembers Yuu showing off the EVE International Title belt to her at the last GanJo show. Nothing more needed to be said because the sight of that belt makes Hasegawa think Yuu wants to fight her in a title match! Yuu likes the idea and accepted the challenge. The next GanJo show will be on 12th Feburary but Yuu is already booked for an important Sendai Girls event that same day. The two will have to agree on another date but the title match will happen somewhere soon.

During the show’s opening announcements Yuna Manase gave an update for her return match from injury on 23rd February. There is a certain opponent she has in mind for the match. It is somebody who quickly got in touch with her while she was injured and helped collaborate merchandise so Manase could still make money while being away from the ring. This person was also among the first to contact Manase after she announced her plans to return. It’s Sayaka Unagi! Later backstage Manase pointed out her return match will be on a regular Ganbare☆Pro show and she would like to get back to wrestling in mixed tag matches. So her challenge to Unagi is to go find a male tag partner because Manase already has one and they’re going to have a mixed tag match together!

Matches already made with them involved have been moved around to accommodate the upcoming title matches. The first challenge is just for the SOG Title in Tokyo.

The year closes on Ganbare☆Pro with a brand new Spirit Of Ganbare Champion! After clearing through most of the GanPro roster in his reign, Isami Kodaka finally fell and made Shuichiro Katsumura the promotion’s new hero. Katsumura went into the match knowing he would have to do something new to beat Kodaka. When different submission holds to the arm couldn’t get the job done, Katsumura climbed the top turnbuckle and did a Moonsault onto Kodaka to beat him! According to the new champion, he used his own form of pro wrestling to defeat Kodaka’s pro wrestling.

Katsumura didn’t want to shake Kodaka’s hand after the match because he’s not going to do that pretend friendship stuff from the Shonen Jump comics Kodaka likes. By taking the SOG Title away from him he also takes away the BASARA wrestler’s “passport” to enter GanPro. The result also means Katsumura is a double champion in GanPro and that should give him some power to make decisions. So as long as he is champion, Kodaka’s passport will be automatically renewed. However Kodaka refused the gesture and dared Katsumura to raise the SOG Title even higher than he did because Kodaka’s Shonen Jump story is not done yet!

When Kodaka left, Katsumura called down the GanPro roster to the ring so they could all finish the show together. Ken Ohka was given the microphone and he praised everyone in GanPro for working so hard. He then challenged Katsumura for the SOG Title because he wanted to strike while the iron is hot! Katsumura agreed to do a title match against Ohka at Itabashi on 4th January. However Ohka then also challenged him for the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles in Osaka on 6th January with HARASHIMA as his partner! Katsumura accepted on behalf of Ground Absolute so GanPro’s 2024 will start off with two title matches in a three day period!

The reason why Ohka wants these title shots as soon as possible is because he is on a wave of momentum after finally beating Kuma Arashi in a grudge match. Arashi had Koji Doi helping with interference at ringside until Shota pulled him away. With no more trouble in his way, Ohka hit Arashi with the Flame Spear followed by the new and improved Shin Flame Spear to get the three count.

Despite the bad blood between them, Ohka thanked Arashi because every awful thing he did to him over the last six months helped Ohka grow as a 46 year old pro wrestler. Arashi didn’t want to speak but Doi stopped him from leaving. DoiKuma fully accepts defeat today but they enjoyed the atmosphere of GanPro fans booing them and cheering for Ohka. This may be the last time DoiKuma are in a GanPro ring so they asked if they could dance to “Bad Communication” with Ohka one last time? Ohka said of course they could! He also told them that everyone who is exposed to GanPro even once will always become a GanPro fan. The three of them then celebrated while “Bad Communication” played.

The good times for GanPro could be found even further down the card because the home team were victorious against GLEAT in the 10-Man Elimination Match! GLEAT dealt the first blow when Kaz Hayashi pinned Shinichiro Tominaga but Mizuki Watase evened the score by taking out Jun Tonsho. GLEAT went ahead again thanks to Takanori Ito getting Tyson Maeguchi over the top rope and then kicking him to the floor for an elimination. Seeing Ito as the big threat, both Watase & Yumehito Imanari worked together to get him out of the ring. Minoru Tanaka used his old finisher from his HEAT days to pin Watase. Takuya Wada wanted to make Tanaka submit but their struggle send both of them over the ropes to the apron. Check Shimatani then decided to sacrifice Tanaka to eliminate Wada and Dropkicked the both of them to the floor. That left Imanari in a 2-on-1 disadvantage but he pulled off the upset by pinning both Shimatani and then Hayashi to win the match for GanPro! Imanari later said GanPro and GLEAT should do a GxG collaboration again somewhere. That might happen because Hayashi does not want his interactions with Imanari to end like this! Things between Watase and Shimatani were a bit friendlier given their past together in DDT.

Munetatsu Nakamura looks up to Yuko Miyamoto a lot so he decided to wear a purple yankee costume for his match against him. Nakamura hit some big dives and used the Michinoku Driver II for a nearfall. Miyamoto turned the tables by blocking a German Suplex and then throwing his opponent head first over him to the canvas. Miyamoto won the match with the Moonsault Press but was left impressed by Nakamura. He said looking at Nakamura is like looking at a young Isami Kodaka. He wants to see more of him and what he can grow into. Nakamura said if he had beaten Miyamoto at Korakuen Hall on the 1st anniversary of his debut it would have created a great memory for him. Instead he has some regrets over losing. But he wants to continue fighting Miyamoto and even team up with him so he can get stronger.

After so many tries and close calls, Yoshiko Hasegawa has finally won a match by herself! She took on the visiting Arisu Endo from Tokyo Joshi Pro and they had a back and forth match. The difference maker was Hasegawa using a Diving Double Knee Attack from the turnbuckles to pin Endo for the 3 count. Hasegawa said it took her one year and 4 months to finally win a match but she now has a 1-1 record against Endo so they still need to figure out who is stronger. She eventually wants to fight for a championship someday so this result finally puts her on the starting line. The move she used was her first time using it so she hasn’t come up with a name for it yet.

There was more Ganbare☆Joshi action before that with a 6-Woman Tag Match. Makoto led HARUKAZE & Banny Oikawa to victory against the hedonistic team of Sumire Natsu, YuuRI & Riara. HARUKAZE scored the pin on Riara with the Flame Spear.

For the second time this year ROMANCE DAWN defended the KO-D Tag Team Titles in the opening match of a show. Here in GanPro the champions took on Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie in a match that connected Team Drift and the Young Communication generation together. Ishii aimed big by giving Shota the Double Arm Driver from the top rope but Soma Takao came to his partner’s rescue. Shota was then able to trap Ishii in the Gannosuke Clutch to win the match. Takao said it meant a lot for him and Shota to defend the titles against friends and former champions Ishii & Irie. Shota thinks all four of them are still rivals for each other to chase after. Irie said he does not know how many more chances he will get to team with Ishii so he appreciates the times when he does. He will always want to team with him one more time.

Yuna Manase announced she will have her first match back from injury on 23rd February! She told the fans about the frustrations she felt throughout the past year by being on the sidelines but those frustrations will soon disappear. She will be spending the next two months getting ready for her return. She already came up with ideas for a new costume and has decided on who she wants her opponent to be. That will be revealed on GanPro’s social media accounts soon.

Moeka Haruhi made an appearance during the opening announcements to greet the fans and joke around with ring announced Michiko Nonaka.

We’re around the halfway point of the D-Oh Grand Prix. It’s too early to predict how the A Block is going to go. The B Block is a different manner. If Yukio Naya beats KANON then only MAO can potentially compete with him for the spot in the final. Rei Saito can also catch up on points but Naya already has the tiebreaker advantage over him. It’s a must win for KANON to remain in the race. Chris Brookes is teetering on the edge while Kazuki Hirata is the first wrestler who is already mathematically out of the tournament.

Before the year ends Tokyo Joshi Pro has a surprise gift for everybody. They recently recorded a Street Wrestling match held inside the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise aquarium in Yokohama. Twelve TJPW wrestlers were split into two teams for the competition and the winners received “luxery prizes”. The participants were Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki, Rika Tatsumi, Shoko Nakajima, Hyper Misao, Nao Kakuta, Miu Watanabe, Raku, Suzume, Arisu Endo, Yuki Arai and HIMAWARI. The video is being shown on Wrestle Universe as a PPV.

A new challenge is coming to Ganbare☆Joshi. This year saw the launch of a new women’s wrestling group called Evolution. Three women debuted as pro wrestlers with Suwama from All Japan helping oversee the project. One of the three recently retired due to injury but the other two have kept at it and will soon visit GanJo. Chi Chi gets the bigger challenge by being put in the main event against YuuRI. The other match has the eye-catching ZONES taking on Riara.

Yuu returns to GanJo for the first time since 2020.

Munetatsu Nakamura is a fan of Yuko Miyamoto so GanPro is getting them together for a match.

Both YuuRI & Riara have been developing a sister-like relationship with Sumire Natsu in GanJo throughout this year. Let’s see how the three can work together as a “family” against HARUKAZE, Makoto & Banny Oikawa.

Over the weekend SCHADENFREUDE International made it known they want to fight for the dormant KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles. They even have Mecha Mummy with them to be the fifth member of their team. The titles still belong to The 37KAMIINA & Shinya Aoki despite not being defended since June 2022. The match is booked for 5th January but DDT found out Aoki is currently unavailable because he is busy training for an MMA fight against Sage Northcutt. Luckily the championship has a rule where the champion team can temporarily replace up to two members and still be eligible to defend the titles. For this match Aoki is being replaced by Yoshihiko! For statistical purposes, should the champions win it counts as a successful defence for Aoki not Yoshihiko.

3. Ami Manase & Alex Lee defeated Sumire Natsu & Echika Miyabi when Manase pinned Miyabi with a Diving Senton (12:36).
4. Saki Akai GanJo Last Match: Saki Akai & Takumi Iroha defeated YuuRI & Yoshiko Hasegawa when Akai submitted YuuRI with the Triangle Choke (23:00).

With only two weeks to go until Saki Akai’s retirement, this week she begun a busy schedule of final appearances across wrestling. Today she was in the main event of Ganbare☆Joshi along with Takumi Iroha taking on the home team of YuuRI & Yoshiko Hasegawa. The GanJo side attacked Akai from the get go and brought her up to the entrance to make sure all the attention was on them. They even got Riara and Yuna Manase to get involved with their own attacks while Akai was held back. Iroha tagged in to let Akai catch her breath. YuuRI & Hasegawa did their best as a team together but were soon overtaken by their opponents. Akai & Iroha hit YuuRI with a Sandwich PK. Akai then made YuuRI submit to the Triangle Choke while Iroha held Hasegawa in a Rear Naked Choke.

After the match Akai told the fans she got a last minute call from GanJo to do this match and she was honored to fight against everyone here today, including Riara. She described GanJo as being very sparkly and flashy on the outside but muddy on the inside. That is her favorite kind of pro wrestling. Hasegawa said the difference between the teams was too much but she hopes she & YuuRI can close this gap and become wrestlers that Iroha would want to fight again. YuuRI then gave Akai a rose as a gift to represent her beautiful passion. She told Akai to continue shining as a beautiful rose after her wrestling career ends.

Until today Yuna Manase’s “sister” Ami Manase hadn’t been seen around these parts since August. She returned to GanJo today to team with Alex Lee. The team were victorious against Sumire Natsu & Echika Miyabi. Natsu used her whips for an advantage while Miyabi focused on power moves. Lee took both of them out at the same time with a Double Flying Clotheslines. Manase then took over and pinned Miyabi with a Diving Senton.

Later this month Banny Oikawa finally achieves her goal of getting booked on a main Ganbare☆Pro show but before that she had to face Marika Kobashi here. She focused on using kicking moves but Kobashi got the better of her by using the Front Neck Lock for the win.

Riara already tasted defeat earlier in the show when she lost to Ram Kaichow. She got a nearfall with a Facecrusher but Kaichow pulled out the Onryo Clutch to get the win in the end.

1. GanJo Three Major Singles Match: Tomoka Inaba defeated Riara with the Leg Killer Hold (10:43).
2. Nanami & Miran defeated Alex Lee & Banny Oikawa when Nanami pinned Oikawa with the Northern Lights Suplex (9:11).
3. GanJo Three Major Singles Match: Suzume defeated Yoshiko Hasegawa with the Ring A Bell (11:00).
4. GanJo Three Major Singles Match: Sumire Natsu defeated YuuRI with the Yoran (16:13).

The three women currently representing Ganbare☆Joshi were each given a challenging singles match on today’s show. In the main event YuuRI couldn’t get past Sumire Natsu’s unsportsmanlike wrestling style. Natsu spat water in YuuRI’s face, threw her into a row of chairs and attacked her with her rose whip. Daisuke Kiso got caught in the crossfire for that last one. YuuRI tried fighting back but was cut off with a Shining Wizard and Double Arm DDT before Natsu won with the Yoran.

Yoshiko Hasegawa suffered a defeat to Suzume after her attempts to ground the high flyer just wouldn’t work. With Arisu Endo watching on from her corner, Suzume overcame Hasegawa’s attacks to her legs to catch her with a Flying Facecrusher and then get use the Ring A Bell for the three count. Hasegawa was left to stare at Daisy Monkey in defeat.

The third match sadly ended in another loss for GanJo, giving the group a clean sweep of losses against the outsiders. Riara brought the fight to Tomoka Inaba outside the ring but was thrown down the entrance stage steps for her troubles. Back in the ring Riara focused on using the Ankle Lock but Inaba used her own submissions to fight back and win by tapout.

The 0-3 result left YuuRI in distress after the main event. The new generation that was supposed to protect GanJo failed to do so. Yuna Manase entered the ring and told YuuRI that she just has to win next time. It’s okay to cry but she shouldn’t be looking down on herself. You can always lose today and win tomorrow.

Manase then called Banny Oikawa down to the ring and asked her why does she want to join Ganbare☆Pro? Oikawa said she wants to have a match with the person who made her want to join pro wrestling but that person is a man. Since GanPro does intergender matches she believes joining the group will help make her dream come true. Manase called it a wonderful dream and told Oikawa she does not need to rely on Miyako Matsumoto to get booked here. GanPro has a show on 23rd November and Michiyoshi Mishima has already agreed to book Oikawa on the show. Oikawa is excited by the news and promised to have a new costume ready in time for that show.

They will now face each other in a rematch from a bout they had last November. Finally Riara takes on Tomoka Inaba from JTO in a Hostess Vs Karate showdown.

Two of Diana’s young wrestlers Nanami & Miran will be wrestling in GanJo for the first time. They take on the returning Alex Lexx & Banny Oikawa.

1. Alex Lee defeated Echika Miyabi with the Vinco Plex (8:26).
2. Miyako Matsumoto & Kaho Kobayashi defeated Sumire Natsu & Riara when Kobayashi pinned Riara with the Fisherman Suplex (15:01).
3. Ice Ribbon Offer Match: Ibuki Hoshi defeated Arisa Shinose with a Diving Body Press (7:48).
4. Tomoka Inaba & Azusa Inaba defeated Miyuki Takase & Yoshiko Hasegawa when Tomoka pinned Hasegawa with the Inaba Otoshi (17:00).
5. Special Single Match: Haruka Umesaki defeated YuuRI with the German Suplex (15:54).

On the hunt to win a championship again, YuuRI set her sights on Haruka Umesaki who currently holds the WWWD Single Title in her home promotion called Diana. A non-title match was put together here in Ganbare☆Joshi, giving YuuRI the home field advantage. However Umesaki won the match clean and decisively. She said she always wanted to wrestle YuuRI and was glad it happened. YuuRI told her she isn’t giving up her quest to win the WWWD Title from her and some day she will surpass her! According to Umesaki, she will go consult with Diana to put together a title match if everybody wants it to happen.

A reunion for Miyuki Takase & Yoshiko Hasegawa brought the two together for a tag match against the Inaba Sisters from JTO. The visitors won the match, leaving Hasegawa feeling dejected. She wasn’t able to win even when she had Takase’s help. Takase encouraged her to keep working hard and together they will get Hasegawa her first direct win. Both Tomoka Inaba & Azusa Inaba believe they were able to show momentum for their first appearance as a team in GanJo.

The last time the ICEx∞ Title was in GanJo it was YuuRI’s championship. It now belongs to Ibuki Hoshi and she brought it with her for the Ice Ribbon offer match against Arisa Shinose.

The Hostess Tag Team has now reached a crossroads. They lost to Miyako Matsumoto & Kaho Kobayashi in a match where everybody was accusing each other of getting plastic surgery. Sumire Natsu & Riara have teamed up three times now and haven’t won once. Natsu thinks Riara needs to change her focus to what’s in front of her instead of worrying about getting their tag team over with the fans. She’s going to help her any way that she can so they will some day drink celebretory champagne together for winning a match.

Echika Miyabi’s match with Alex Lee was put together to celebrate Miyabi’s one year anniversary of her debut match. Miyabi’s first pro wrestling bout took place on 14th September last year.

The GanJo GM Yuna Manase gave everyone an update on her injury recovery. She’s at the point now where she can walk around in heels again.
