The complete first round of this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup took place today. There are no upset results to speak of but a couple of the young wrestlers who were making a lot of progress this year have fallen at the first hurdle against some of the established main eventers. Yuki Arai didn’t have much time to rest after defending her Princess Of Princess Title on Saturday but was able to move past Haru Kazashiro in the main event. She praised Kazashiro after the match for have determination and a love for pro wrestling so strong that it can be intense. Now Arai will go face Shoko Nakajima in Round 2. She noted the only previous singles match they had together was made via a lottery back in 2022 so she is happy that the random draw of the bracket brings them together again. Kazashiro is looking past today’s defeat because even though she is already eliminated from the Princess Cup, her summer is still just beginning. If she can go through this period of time without getting heatstroke then she will come out of it improving her stamina.

There won’t be a second tournament final appearance in a row for Uta Takami. Not even close. Miyu Yamashita knocked her down and out in the opening round using a barrage of kicks. Takami’s only good chance to win was with using the Koala Clutch but Yamashita forced her way out of it and got the pin with the Attitude Adjustment. Yamashita said she was looking forward to fighting Takami because she is usually bad against wrestlers like her who move around a lot. Now that she got it and won, she now gets a singles match with Rika Tatsumi for the first time since May 2021, the Princess Title match with no audience due to the covid lockdown. Takami called today’s loss a complete defeat but she thinks she learned a few things from Yamashita that means more than just winning or losing.

Last year’s winner Miu Watanabe undoubtedly had the physical advantage over Ren Konatsu but mentally she had a trip up or two that could have ended disastrously for her. Konatsu kept trying to roll her up for a quick pin and when that didn’t work, she used her sheep toy as a decoy to distract Watanabe into getting rolled up even more. That was the extent to her gameplan though and once it got back into a clash of strength and skill, Watanabe steered things back on course and used the Canadian Backbreaker to make Konatsu give up. She wants to remind everyone that she is still a princess so it is only natural that she won today. She now anticipates another heated battle with Yuki Aino in Round 2 but no matter who she has to get through she is determined to win the Cup and become the Princess Champion again. Konatsu felt that she gave it her all today and got more encouragement with the streamers everyone threw for her during her entrance. She promised to work even harder to repay the kindness of her supporters.

Do you ever notice that Mizuki is never seen eating carrots despite being a rabbit? Raku does so she brought down a big carrot shaped pillow to force feed her opponent with while they fought each other. Mizuki then grabbed the pillow and hit Raku back with it. She also kicked out of the Hurricane Turn and used the Cutie Special to win the match. Mizuki calls Raku unpredictable but that’s what she loves about her. She isn’t going to stop fighting weird opponents for a while because waiting for her in Round 2 is Hyper Misao! Mizuki said she will do her best to win and she does eat carrots but only for nutrition. Raku said she stayed up all night to make the carrot pillow and doesn’t get why Mizuki didn’t like it. She then took a bite of it and now understands it doesn’t taste good.

The first thing Arisu Endo had to do on her potential journey to another Princess Cup final was to fight and beat a ninja girl. She had to be on the defensive against Sakura Hattori until she eventually figured out the timing of her attacks. So when Hattori climbed up the centre of the ropes to perform the Sento Choryu, Endo jumped up to join her and threw her back down to the canvas with a Choke Slam! Endo was the first to get back up but Hattori hit her with a Thrusting Punch to the chest. Endo withstood the blow and hit back with a Thrust Kick before finishing Hattori off with the Ju No Okite. Although Endo won, she admits she might never shake off the time she lost to the former Kaya Toribami back in 2022. She warns her next round opponent Chika Nanase that she is still growing as a wrestler just like her so she will not lose. Hattori didn’t want to say much because other than Endo has stood in her way again. She doesn’t have anything else to say and won’t have anything else until she wins.

It was time to see if Wakana Uehara got her appetite back after the weekend she just had. Mifu Asida brought out a giant rice ball she made but couldn’t finish eating it before the match began so she decided she would give the rest to Uehara if Uehara could beat her. Ashida tricked Uehara into doing a cheer so she could attack her from behind but Uehara made a comeback and won with the Sushi Tornado. Once she is done eating the giant rice ball she will have to prepare for HIMAWARI in Round 2. She is already wondering if sunflowers are edible like dandelions are. Ashida thought she had everything needed to win with her invincible cheerleading power along with some secret strategies but instead she lost again. She’s aware that some fans only think she loses all the time so she’s going to work hard and show everyone that she can win.

All champions have cleared the first hurdle while all of the rookies are out in the first round. Suzume had to deal with a scrappy performance from Shion Kanzaki with the rookie relying on Dropkicks and Elbow Strikes to keep her at bay. However Suzume was able to ground Kanzaki with the Hachinosu Eight Knot and tightened it to make her submit. Suzume pointed out that wearing all black makes you more likely to get stung by bees so that makes Kanzaki her natural enemy. Or at least she hopes Kanzaki will grow strong enough to become a rival. Suzume is now feeling a little worried about Round 2 because she can’t predict what Pom Harajuku will have in store for her. Kanzaki is disappointed because she was serious about winning the Princess Cup in her first year. She is certain she will become strong enough next year to do it and beat Suzume along the way.

For her first singles match after debuting, Momo Sato ran into a brick wall named Toga. She kept trying to knock her down with Shoulder Blocks but wasn’t strong enough to take Toga off her feet. But what she was able to do was lift her up for a Body Slam. She wasn’t able to do much more than that other than Elbow Strikes so Toga knocked her down and held her in a Face Lock until Sato tapped out. Toga said Sato’s tackles were amazing and she has a promising future ahead of her. As for Toga she will next take on Mahiro Kiryu in a rare singles match between the two. Sato said she wants to become even stronger than Toga and next time she will go get her first victory.

All throughout the build up to “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’26” there was the question asking is Yuki Arai had the killer instinct to beat Miyu Yamashita one on one. Today she answered that question with an undeniable yes. This was Tokyo Joshi Pro’s big match for the summer and Yamashita egged on Arai to give her best shot. She found a way to break out of the Scorpion Death Lock by grabbing Arai in a Brain Claw when she bent over backwards too far. Arai kept up with her attacks and dealt enough damage to prevent Yamashita from pinning her immediately after the Skull Kick. Instead Yamashita tried to finish her off with the Crash Rabbit Heat but it was blocked. While Arai was still kneeling, Yamashita got in two glancing blows using the Skull Kick but Arai hit back with the Rookie Award to shift the momentum back to her. She then threw down Yamashita with the Full Nelson Buster and landed the Finally to get the three count in her biggest Princess Of Princess Title defence to date.

After the match Arai said she just defeated Yamashita which means she is now the one who will lead TJPW into the summer! She looks up to Yamashita because she helped train her as well as for being a cool and strong senpai. Beating her has given Arai a huge boost of confidence and now she feels like she cannot lose to anyone. With the Tokyo Princess Cup beginning on Monday, Arai wants everyone in TJPW to make this summer hotter than ever. Backstage Arai said there were points where Yamashita completely overwhelmed her but it never broke her spirit. Now she wants to win the Princess Cup as champion because she’s never won a tournament before. Yamashita talked about how feeling the joys of winning and the frustrations over losing. For the latter she always uses defeat to make herself stronger. Arai won today but Yamashita is still going to try and beat her. With the Princess Cup about to begin there is no time to rest.

It took a lot of time for Daydream to convince Kyoraku Kyomei into taking their challenge for a rematch from “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’25” last year. This time around it was Daydream as the defending Princess Tag Team Champions and Kyoraku Kyomei as the challengers. Hyper Misao promised a clean fight although she and Shoko Nakajima then tried to jump the champions before the bell rang. The two teams brawed out of the ring and briefly disappeared from view. Kyoraku Kyomei emerged from one side of the room with the Hyper Mobile while Daydream were at the other end armed with sasumata poles. The two teams then charged at each other where they were caught in a stalemate. Rika Tatsumi was able to grab Mahiro Kiryu, sit her onto the Hyper Mobile and push her so she crashed the bike into Kyoraku Kyomei. Back in the ring Misao blinded Miu Watanabe with spray but that didn’t stop her from doing a Double Body Slam to the challenging team. Tatsumi followed up with a Double Figure 4 Leg Lock. The action got so intense that Misao ended up having her masked kicked off and she was put into the Dragon Sleeper. She countered it into the Hypami Returns but Tatsumi then avoided the Vanitas to hit her with a Hip Attack. While Misao got her mask back on, Watanabe threw Nakajima out of the ring Tear Drop style then gathered Kyoraku Kyomei together on the floor for Tatsumi to hit the Diving Hip Attack onto them. The then gave Misao the Daydream Believer back inside the ring to pin her and remain the champions. Daydream are thrilled to avenge their defeat from last year especially because Kyoraku Kyomei had become a stronger and even more incomprehensible tag team since then. Nakajima admits whenever she wrestles against Daydream she really feels alive. Misao is also feeling the determination to become an even stronger wrestler.

It turns out Wakana Uehara’s eyes are bigger than her stomach after all. Her attempt to completely devour Suzume and win the International Princess Title ended in failure. While Uehara met the low angle Ring A Bell with a Shining Enzuigri and used a Jackknife Hold to try and pin down Suzume, she couldn’t get the pinfall. Suzume also found a way to break out of the Banana Pillow by grabbing Uehara in a Headscissors to loosen up the grip. Uehara was lifted up and dropped down with the Gory Bomb which left her helpess to Suzume’s remaining signature moves. The Flying Facecrusher followed by the Ring A Bell ended the match with Suzume still holding her precious IP Title. Uehara tried to get some semblance of a last laugh by biting Suzume’s arm before leaving the ring. Suzume saw the funny side of it. Backstage she talked about wanting to prove the importance of her championship. She previously lost it to a junior with high expectations (Moka Miyamoto) so she’s been terrified of that happening to her again. Her goal now for the Princess Cup is to become the brightest star. Uehara said Suzume is a really spicy opponent and she is terrible when it comes to spicy food. She was expecting Suzume to taste sweet because she has such a sweet looking face. She was determined to finish her meal but couldn’t finish with the last bite so the lesson she learned is to not be so picky anymore. The only other time she couldn’t finish a meal was when she had a tempura rice bowl that was so oily it soaked the rice at the bottom and made them inedible.

Flight problems for Willow Nightingale prevented her from arriving in Japan on time for the show so her match with Mizuki was cancelled. Mizuki was given a new opponent on short notice although it is somebody she had fought in TJPW once before. It was Chris Brookes! Mizuki wasted no time in attacking him with the Pico Pico Hammer, striking him down the same way she did Andreza Giant Panda in the past. Yukinori Matsui took the hammer away from her but Brookes later got hold of it and gave Mizuki a bonk over the head before throwing her into a row of chairs at ringside. Mizuki tried finding ways to cut down her much taller opponent while Brookes bullied her around. Double Stomps and high risk moves off the ropes were the only way she could hurt Brookes but she was almost wipde out from taking a Shotgun Dropkick into the turnbuckles. Her last big play was to hit the Whirling Candy but it only got her a nearfall. After that Brookes caught her in midair and gave her a Tombstone Piledriver. While Mizuki did kick out of the pin, Brookes just gave her the Praying Mantis Bomb after that to win the match. Backstage Brookes brought up memories of the Magical Sugar Rabbits vs TeaDK match from 2024, his previous appearance in TJPW. He said today was fun and he thinks Mizuki would like hanging out in Baka Gaijin + Friends. Mizuki was happy to see Brookes fill in on such short notice because she has so much respect for him as a wrestler. Some day she will grow taller and score the three count on Brookes. She also still wants that match with Willow Nightingale.

The road to retirement begins for Yuki Kamifuku with a special 6-Person Tag Match being put together for her on this show. She teamed up with Kumadori (who she is friends with) & Sakura Hattori (who she thinks needs to find friends). On the other side was her wrestling father figure Sanshiro Takagi, the man who produced a special video for this match Yumehito Imanari and her long suffering former tag partner Mahiro Kiryu. Things took a turn when Kiryu redirected Kumadori & Hattori into both poking Kamifuku in the eyes. She apologised for it which then caused Imanari to apologise for allowing Kamifuku to be rude in her interview for the pre-match video. Takagi then apologised for farting in the ring while nobody was paying attention to him. Later in the match Kiryu ended up getting isolated from her team. Kumadori & Hattori both kept Takai & Imanari away so Kamifuku could win the match using the Diving Famouser. Kamifuku said her team were able to win through sheer willpower. She was also able to get away with insulting Takagi and punching him in the face. She feels bad for Kiryu though and wants to tell her to keep working even harder until the time comes for her own retirement so she doesn’t bring shame to the people of their age. Hattori said she hopes to meet Kumadori again because she found a lot of similarities between the two of them. Kamifuku told her she has to make that happen herself and that she shouldn’t count on anyone to simply book them in the same match again. Meanwhile Kiryu doesn’t want her story with Kamifuku to end here. She wants to fight her again and again before Kamifuku retires. Imanari agrees that she should get some revenge by the time December comes around. Takagi suggests Kiryu should increase her mahjong training.

Big bad Aja Kong paid another visit to TJPW this time to have a singles match against Arisu Endo. From the beginning Endo peppered Kong with Dropkicks then used the ropes to roll up Kong and keep her on the canvas so she could apply the Camel Clutch. Kong put a stop to that with a big kick to Endo’s stomach. She followed that with a beat down into her own Camel Clutch which had Endo fighting to reach a rope break. Endo turned the table by using the Mt. Bandai Missile Dropkick but Kong knocked her down with a Lariat and brought in the steel can to use as a weapon. Endo grabbed it off her but threw it back so when Kong caught it Endo could Super Kick it into her face. Kong eventually hit Endo over the head with the can and did the Back Drop but Endo kicked out of the pin. She then stunned Kong with a Straight Right Punch and flipped her over with the Waterwheel Suplex. That only irritated Kong who slapped Endo across the face, did another Back Drop and then landed the Diving Elbow Drop from the second rope to win the match. Backstage Kong brought up the story of her seeing Endo crying backstage after her match at “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” back in March. At the time she gave Endo the following advice: “It’s going to hurt anyway, so just punch them with your fist.” She didn’t actually expect Endo would do that to her today! If it turns out Endo dislocated Kong’s jaw then Kong will get her revenge tenfold or even a hundredfold some other time. Until then she hopes to see Endo win the Princess Cup and then win a championship so she can come challenge her for a title of some kind. She also didn’t use the Uraken today and wants Endo to remember that Kong has plenty of things to hit her with. Endo said that Kong’s words to her that day in Sumo Hall were like magic. She can keep on going no matter how much it hurts.

MIRAI’s return to TJPW so she could team up with Toga again was spoiled by Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed. After a lot of action back and forth, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro were able to avoid taking their opponents’ signature moves at the same time and instead to that to them. MIRAI was sent out of the ring after getting hit with Aino’s Diving Shoulder Block. Prism Greed then gave Toga their Elevated Reverse DDT finisher called the Updraft!! Overdrive to get the win. The two were happy to fight MIRAI again after waiting a long time for her to come back. Toga was annoyed over losing the match right before the Princess Cup begins but MIRAI gave her some encouragement. Toga promised to get stronger so MIRAI won’t forget about her.

The arrival of Shin Sakura Katsushika Hirota to TJPW made her partners for the day HIMAWARI & Mifu Ashida very giddy. Hirota sung a song down to the ring and got on the microphone while Ashida was cheering with her pompoms and HIMAWARI was whipping her hair at Chika Nanase. Meanwhile Raku got fed up with the noise and tried to take a nap with Pom Harajuku. As the match went on Hirota tried to do a rope walk spot on Nanase but ended up slipping off it one too many times. She then picked her nose and chased after everyone with snot on her fingers. She tried to stick them into Nanase’s face but she ducked and they wound up getting into HIMAWARI’s mouth instead. When Hirota tried to interrupt the Goodnight Express, Raku sent her to sleep with a lullaby. Hirota also had trouble missing Harajuku with the Kancho attack. She was able to convince Harajuku to attempt the same rope walk she did. Harajuku failed and Hirota finally got her with the Kancho after doing a cartwheel to get into position. Raku, Harajuku & Nanase all tricked Hirota into looking behind her so she could get kicked in the shin. The match then broke down with HIMAWARI accidentally sticking her own fingers into Hirota’s mouth like earlier. Harajuku charged in but Hirota in her stunned state collapsed on top of her as she often does in matches. She was too much dead weight for Harajuku to kick out of and Harajuku got pinned as a result.

The pro debut of Momo Sato included the first use of her entrance song after Shion Kanzaki gave permission to use that instead of her own tune. That didn’t matter to Kanzaki because she got to do her mic work in the corner during the match. Ren Konatsu made fun of it while she was controlling the match with Sato in the ring. Sato got to hit some Shoulder Blocks and a Kneel Kick to Uta Takami but Takami trapped her in the Koala Clutch for the tap out. Both Takami & Konatsu are looking forward to pass on what they know towards Sato. So too is Kanzaki because Sato is going to be her first junior. Sato said her goal is to become a cheerful and bright pro wrestler who will aim for the top. She’s also going to keep an eye on Takami for being so cheerful and bright.

There are only a few announcements that were given out throughout the show. Both Hiroyo Matsumoto and Sumire Natsu will be at the 23rd August Korakuen Hall show, the same event where the Princess Cup final will be held. It will be Natsu’s first time in TJPW. Also TJPW’s final show in Shinjuku FACE before the venue shuts down will be held on 27th September.

Unfortunately Willow Nightingale’s flight was cancelled and Tokyo Joshi Pro were unable to rearrange her travel plans to get her to the show in time so her match with Mizuki has been cancelled. Mizuki will now be facing Chris Brookes tomorrow in a last minute attempt to find Mizuki a big name opponent. Given that Nightingale teased doing an angle with Thekla while in Japan (Thekla is over there as part of the AEW–Stardom relationship) I don’t know if this means her entire trip was cancelled or just her TJPW booking.

Normally when a TJPW rookie has her debut match in a tag team bout she enters to the music of her senpai tag partner. However Shion Kanzaki has given her approval to let Momo Sato enter the match to her own theme song for her debut.

He used to be in DAMNATION with Sasaki and isn’t impressed with what Sasaki has been doing lately. Endo also used to be in Happy Motel with Honda and this match will be the first time in about a decade when the two will be teaming up together.

Either paleyouth are going to break the record of most KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title defences or Viento Levante will find redemption over his decision to keep his luchador gimmick.

Tokyo Princess Cup 2026 Brackets

Today in Abema Towers the draw for this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup took place with Rise Shirai looking over the proceedings. Twenty of the twenty four competitors were in attendance to choose a number out of random envelopes and match up together to reveal the full playoff bracket. Those who were missing from the event were Pom Harajuku, Wakana Uehara, Mifu Ashida and the yet to debut Momo Sato. Shirai picked their envelopes and revealed their spots first before any of the wrestlers in attendance got to choose their own.

The entire 1st Round will be held in Shizuoka to kick off the tournament. Uta Takami drew Miyu Yamashita so she feels terrified while also thinking she’s hit the jackpot. Yamashita is an opponent Takami really wants to challenge but at her current state she believes a match between them could only be put together by a lottery. It will be dangerous but Takami does not want to set limits for herself. Yamashita admits she is not very good when fighting against Takami’s fighting style so she’s going to be careful when she tries to crush her.

If you would like to know the combined brain power of Raku and Mizuki, the two accidentally headbutted each other from bowing after their match was revealed. Raku also said that Mizuki sleeps with her eyes open and wants to know if all rabbits do that? She’ll be careful against her either way. Mizuki hasn’t been happy with her tournament results lately and came to the conclusion it is because she is too much of an angel. This year she would like to act like a bit of a devil and wake Raku up!

Last year’s finalist Arisu Endo is now looking to become No. 1! She still remembers the time she first fought Sakura Hattori back when the ninja was known as Kaya Toribami. Endo lost that match and it also happened to be Toribami’s first ever singles victory. Endo has promised to get revenge for that loss by beating Hattori in the first round! Hattori said it does not matter who her opponent is because she is superior against anybody. She has her own defeats against Endo that she wants to avenge, the most recent being from this year’s Max Heart Tournament.

Neither Wakana Uehara or Mifu Ashida were at the press conference so they weren’t able to give their thoughts about facing each other in Round 1. This will be Ashida’s first proper go at the Princess Cup because last year she failed to get out of the Preliminary League qualifiers. Uehara did get past the league and reached the Quarter Final before getting eliminated. Given the changes for this year she doesn’t need to win as many matches this time around to reach the same stage.

The way the brackets have been put together can be split apart in A, B, C & D Blocks. Toga thinks the C Block that she belongs too is full of power fighters so she isn’t exactly confident of her chances of advancing past everyone else. She doesn’t know what to expect of her opponent Momo Sato either because it will be Sato’s next first match after her debut takes place.

Miu Watanabe is looking to make it two in a row as she gears up to defend her crown. Last year’s winner wants to shine like a princess for the rest of the summer again. Ren Konatsu is looking forward to facing her in Round 1. There are five people in particular she wants to wrestle and Watanabe is one of them. It’s also taking place in her hometown of Hamamatsu so the stage is set for her to become the next princess of the summer by beating the current one!

It’s going to be a first time ever singles match between Suzume and Shion Kanzaki. Suzume warns her opponent that hornets are at their most aggressive in the summertime. Suzume doesn’t have much Princess Cup success to brag about which only makes her more motivated to burst through the early rounds and show everyone the true power of the hornet. Kanzaki is nervous about her tournament debut but doesn’t want fans to think she will bow out right away in the opening round. She’ll do her best to beat Suzume and advance.

The bottom right of the bracket corner is the block to watch out for in Round 1. Haru Kazashiro meets Yuki Arai and for her third tournament appearance her confidence is very high compared to the previous two years. She’s been watching Kamen Rider OOO recently and has been inspired by the hero Eiji because he once said if something is within reach and he never reached out to grab it then he would regret it. Kazashiro is following those words so she can live a summer without regrets. Arai loves that sparkly behaviour from her which is why she wants to take a lethal dose of that youthful energy for herself so she can sparkle even more too.

In recent years Rika Tatsumi has grown to like the summer after always hating it beforehand. So this year she has put it upon herself to win the Princess Cup and become the “Summer Girl” Rika Tatsumi. She’s worried that Yamashita might ruin those plans though. Last year Yamashita let everyone know that she would love to face Tatsumi in the tournament because they haven’t had a singles match together since 2021. It never happened because Tatsumi got knocked out in the first round. Tatsumi doesn’t like that the opportunity for the match to happen has reappeared again so she is rooting for Takami to beat Yamashita instead.

No matter who she faces in Round 2, Hyper Misao thinks she is going into a hellish situation because Raku and Mizuki are both real troublemakers. But Misao is a superhero and if she can make it through a hellish summer like this then she can become a really, really, really strong hero. In fact if it was up to her she would have wanted to start in Round 1 so she can win five matches on the way to winning the Princess Cup instead of four. Mizuki then called out Misao for lying.

For a tournament named after Tokyo it sure is starting to be held in Osaka more often. Chika Nanase is happy with that because she gets to start her tournament in her hometown. That surge of energy is going to get her ready for either Endo or Hattori.

HIMAWARI didn’t have Uehara or Ashida around to bounce off of so she tried to think of things they would say if they were here. She thinks Uehara would talk about devouring the competition while Ashida would be cheering and shouting “Woohoo!” HIMAWARI says when you think of summer you will think of her so she is going to bloom the brightest and win the tournament.

How can you be born in July but have a terrible lack of success during the summertime? That’s the plight Mahiro Kiryu faces every time she enters the Princess Cup. She’s supposed to be a summer girl but she’s never gotten to be one. If there is ever a time for her to solve this problem it is now! Maybe the sun will finally start shining on her when she steps into the ring to face either Toga or Sato in Round 2.

Yuki Aino is still feeling the pain of getting eliminated in the first round last year so she is hesitant about saying she will go all out from the start again. She also remembers her failure to beat Watanabe for the Princess Of Princess Title last year so she doesn’t want to claim she can definitely beat her either should she be her opponent in Round 2. Even stating that she can beat Konatsu is not something Aino is comfortable with saying at the moment. Instead the message she wants to give today is she will knock everyone out so she can reach the dream stage that is the Princess Cup final again.

Pom Harajuku wasn’t there so there’s nothing from her about potentially facing Suzume or Shion Kanzaki in Round 2. She is back in the Princess Cup after failing to qualify last year. Her record here is pretty abysmal to be honest with only one previous win in the contest. You can’t even include a Preliminary League win from last year because that one was by forfeit.

As the one remaining wrestler to have competed in every single Princess Cup to date, Shoko Nakajima is spoiled for choice when it comes to her Round 2 opponent. She gets either the current Princess Champion at the time of this draw happening or a first time singles match with Kazashiro. All three of them would like to wrestle each other in the tournament so Nakajima told Arai and Kazashiro to figure out a way where they can both win so they can all do a 3 Way Match together in Round 2!

Is Suzume Norway and therefore the next lineal holder of Hatsune Miku? Does that make Nakajima Spain somehow? Is Morocco better suited to Endo, Kazashiro or Takami? Will Misao save an entire sport like Belgium did? No matter what, Kiryu has the same chances as Switzerland.

One of the undercard tag matches is following up on a few things from earlier this year. MIRAI & Toga are teaming up again for a match against Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed. That means it’s another meeting between MIRAI and Haru Kazashiro after their really good singles match last month.

The debut of Momo Sato sees her getting thrown into the ring with the three other shortest term wrestlers in Tokyo Joshi Pro at the moment.

The 6-Man Tag Match was supposed to have Munetatsu Nakamura in it but unfortunately he injured his right knee at the Ganbare☆Pro show over the weekend. He has since been diagnosed with a ruptured ACL and will be out of action for the time being.

A sudden civil war over the Toyama region is now turning into a little inter-promotional match with PURE-J. After the last GanPro show Ken Ohka declined to include Yumehito Imanari into his Toyama based group of wrestlers so Imanari went and formed his own Anti-Toyama team with Sentaro Motoshima & Moeka Haruhi both agreeing to join him. Rydeen Hagane from PURE-J fills out his group. Ohka has bolstered up his forces by bringing in Akira Shoji & Shinichiro Tominaga as well as PURE-J’s Leon.

Pray for Mizuki Watase to come out of the match in one piece. The last time Shigehiro Irie fought for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title he lost to Imanari but still beat him up bad enough that he was left in rough shape for weeks afterward. Now Watase wants to defend the title against his good friend even though Irie is kind of feeling like he’s past his peak. Maybe for Watase’s physical sake let’s hope that is the case.

Shuichiro Katsumura once held the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles with Takuya Wada. Now he is trying to win them off him. Yuya Susumu is getting his first crack at winning a GanPro championship and maybe he can get it if Tyson Maeguchi is feeling a little punch drunk by the time the match takes place.

No word yet on if Nakamura’s match with Chris Brookes will be cancelled because of his knee injury. There is currently no timeframe for his return.

It’s time again for YuuRI to try and take down one of her idols. Takumi Iroha is her next big name joshi opponent.

Tokyo Princess Cup 2026

A roster of 24 participants will be competing in the 13th annual Tokyo Princess Cup this summer and unlike last year there is no qualifying round needed for the junior members of the roster to earn their spot. Instead an extra round has been tacked onto the bracket so it is possible that the eventual winner of the tournament would have needed to win five matches rather than four depending on where their starting point is. The bracket will be randomly determined by a lottery to be held at a future date.

So there won’t be much time for Tsukamoto to catch his breath in between opponents. This isn’t happening at one of the All You Can Drink shows either so I don’t think he can get a hydration break either.

With Yuki Kamifuku planning to retire at the end of the year, she has been promised a retirement road of matches to remember. First up is an absolutely unusual looking trios match featuring people Kamifuku would consider friends, mentors and possibly people she might find handsome. She is friends with Kumadori and Mahiro Kiryu, looks up to Sanshiro Takagi as a father figure and thinks Yumehito Imanari is good looking. She also thinks Sakura Hattori could do with meeting some new people to keep her company.

The newest idol to make her pro debut with Tokyo Joshi Pro is the Harajuku LAND idol Momo Sato. She was born in Kanagawa on 5th January, 2011 and stands 157cm tall. She already wrestled in TJPW back in March as part of the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title Battle Royal when Sanshiro Takagi scouted her. She was discovered because her brother Daichi Sato already wrestles in DDT and she became interested in following his footsteps. She intends to be a full time member of TJPW although there will be some shows missed because of her idol duties as well as her school studies.

Several paths all leading to “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’26” merged together in today’s main event pitting all of the Princess Champions against their upcoming challengers in an 8-Woman Tag Match. Hyper Misao got on the microphone to tell everyone she would win this match in a flash because she already beat Miu Watanabe last week. She then immediately removed the blue turnbuckle pad but was stopped by Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi used it as a weapon on Misao instead. Wakana Uehara focused on Suzume by trying to trap her in the Banana Pillow but was eventually taken out of action with a Facecrusher. Yuki Arai showed how dangerous her Scorpion Death Lock has become by using it on Miyu Yamashita to great effect but Misao was able to break it up. The match came down to Daydream against Kyoraku Kyomei with Misao saving Shoko Nakajima from being pinned with the Daydream Eternity and then leading Watanabe out of the ring. Tatsumi knocked Misao off the apron but when she turned around, Nakajima caught her in a Hurricanrana and scored the pinfall.

After the match Nakajima had a confession to make. She lied when she said it was not the right time for Kyoraku Kyomei to challenge Daydream for the Princess Tag Team Titles. Now that she found the courage to admit it, she wants to win the belts back. Misao agreed and the two of them signed the contract for the title match scheduled for 18th July. They offered to shake Daydream’s hands and Tatsumi responded by slapping their faces. That was only because she’s had to wait this long for them to finally agree. When they left, Suzume spoke to Uehara with some unexpected concern in her voice. Her team of champions didn’t win today and she feels both herself and Uehara weren’t good enough to compete with everyone else in the ring. Uehara couldn’t find the words to respond so Suzume just raised the International Princess Title up and left the ring. Yamashita admitted that Arai in her current form as Princess Of Princess Champion is strong but this July she is going to kick her down! Nakajima gave Uehara some motivation during the show ending speech and promised the fans that Kyoraku Kyomei, Yamashita and Uehara will all shine bright enough to wear the championships.

Today’s show went ahead over warnings of two typhoons hitting Tokyo over the weekend. Raku & Pom Harajuku came to the show prepared for the weather by wearing raincoats and carrying umbrellas down for their match.

It was announced that the trainee Momo Sato will make her pro debut for Tokyo Joshi Pro on 18th July. Sato is an idol from Harajuku Gakuen and also the younger sister of DDT wrestler Daichi Sato. She also has previous experience in wrestling including entering the Battle Royal that was held at “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” back in April. Sato promised she will do her best and give it her all when she debuts.

It is the 5th Anniversary of Yuki Arai’s pro wrestling debut and she celebrates it by standing on top of the Tokyo Joshi Pro mountain. Her second Princess Of Princess Title defence was completed today with a victory over Arisu Endo, who was one of her first opponents in her debut match five years ago. Endo just couldn’t pull off the Ju no Okite to put Arai away with the move being either blocked or escaped from. After the latter happened, Arai got Endo with the Finally to the back of the head. She then hit the Rookie Award followed by another Finally to put Endo away. After the match Arai said Endo always calls her the main character of TJPW behind the scenes. Arai doesn’t like to say that but in her world, Endo is the main character too along with everyone else in TJPW. Backstage Endo said the match shows how much both of them have grown over five years because they got to fight for the Princess Title in the main event of Korakuen Hall today.

Back in the ring Arai talked about having her debut match five years ago. It was at an empty Korakuen Hall because of the covid pandemic but today she feels like she is in the best condition possible by defending the Princess Title in front of a big crowd. Yuki Kamifuku then entered the ring and told Arai she looks tired. When Kamifuku lost the Princess Tag Team Titles she wondered why she works so hard as a wrestler. She figured out it’s because it makes her feel beautiful! She isn’t really that invested in championships and hates fighting in singles matches but working so hard towards a goal feels like the perfect anti-aging technique for her. So for the first time ever Kamifuku wants to challenge for the Princess Title! Arai accepted and asked for the match to happen in Korakuen on 7th June. Kamifuku then asked to take a picture together with her while they’re both looking their youngest. Kamifuku admitted backstage she considered doing the title challenge two days ago when she looked in the mirror and noticed her skin was beginning to sag a bit. She also believes that Arai is already starting to rest on her laurels too much.

Daydream are now two-time Princess Tag Champions after they defeated The IInspiration, bringing the belts back home to TJPW. In the leadup to the match they made dolls of The IInspiration, claiming they were just doing it to be cute despite the dolls looking anything but. Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee were given the dolls as gifts before the match began but they threw them away and attacked the challengers. Late in the match Miu Watanabe saved Rika Tatsumi from taking the IIdolizer then she dropped Tatsumi onto both of them with a Human Bomb double team move. Lee and Watanabe then fought in the corner where Tatsumi used them as a stepping stone to hit McKay with the Flying Hip Attack. With McKay out of the way, Lee was given the Daydream Eternity and was pinned by Watanabe for the title change. The IInspiration later blamed the loss on TJPW being a dangerous workplace. They complained about having to wrestle after taking an 18 hour flight, getting paper streamers thrown at their heads, being hit in the face by Tatsumi’s butt, being swung around in circles by Watanabe and on top of it all feeling dehydrated the entire time. They wouldn’t mind coming back to TJPW but only if they have plenty of drinking water ready, everyone stops throwing paper streamers at them and they get to challenge for the tag titles again.

Watanabe said it feels like five million years since the last time they were Princess Tag Champions and Tatsumi wondered if everyone even remembers when they held the old white belts? Daydream felt the worldwide experience of The IInspiration while fighting them and they hope they will come back to Japan. Tatsumi now wants Daydream to go after the most defences record. Their first challengers then made themselves known when Mizuki & Uta Takami walked out. The two of them have continued teaming together since reaching the final of this year’s Max Heart Tournament. Takami has grown to love wrestling even more because of it so she wants to get a title shot with Mizuki. Tatsumi scolded Takami because she never gave her permission to team with Mizuki but she is willing to defend the titles against the two of them if it means the team will end after Daydream wins. However Mizuki said she is living in the present and wants to team with Takami to win the belts, even if it means stealing Tatsumi’s heart in the process. The title match will happen on 7th June.

Now is not the time yet for Haru Kazashiro to win championships. Suzume took Kazashiro’s best shot and was still standing. She kicked out of the Fisherman Suplex and escaped from the Straight Armbar to keep Kazashiro flustered. Kazashiro tried going for the Fisherman Suplex again but Suzume countered it into a Noshigami and followed up with a top rope Facecrusher. She then hit the Ring A Bell to remain as the International Princess Champion. She said she is happy to see Kazashiro reach the point to where they can fight each other in title matches now. Suzume is also very excited she will be going to her homecoming show in two days time as the IP Champion. Kazashiro called the match fun even though she feels like she could have done better. She gets frustrated when she isn’t able to show everyone what she learns in training and doesn’t get to fully enjoy her matches because of it. But today’s match confirmed to her who she is and it was the most fun she’s ever had because of it. She believes this confidence she gained will only make her stronger.

Something was on Hyper Misao’s mind when Kyoraku Kyomei faced K!SS// in a rematch from the Max Heart Tournament. Misao wanted to start the match off with Sakura Hattori straight away because she really wanted to fight the newcomer. However it seemed like she couldn’t tell that Hattori is the former Kaya Toribami who pinned her back in that tournament. Hattori’s ninja techniques were quickly foiled by Misao’s Hero Spray and Miyu Yamashita got blinded with it too. The match was decided under more skillful means when Hattori went back and forth with Shoko Nakajima. After a lot of dodged moves, Nakajima got the better of Hattori by countering the Kitcho Kagome cradle into a counter pin that held the ninja’s shoulders down for the three count. It wasn’t until Kyoraku Kyomei went back to the locker room that they realised Hattori used to be Toribami! Now they’re wondering how a bird suddenly turned into a ninja while they weren’t paying attention. Meanwhile Yamashita noted this was the first time K!SS// were teaming up since Hattori’s transformation. They’re going to continue teaming together and aim for a championship but Yamashita thinks they may need to rename the tag team to something more fitting for Hattori’s ninja aesthetic.

Toga collided with Ryo Mizunami from the get go with clashing Shoulder Blocks, Chops and Elbow Strikes. Mizunami blocked the Absolute Zero but still gave Toga encouragement to fight her harder. Toga was staggered after taking a Headbutt and some Lariats though. Once she was taken down with the Spear it was all over for her. Mizunami remembers her previous singles match with Toga around two and a half years ago. She’s happy to see Toga didn’t waste her time since them but still thinks Toga needs to forge her own path to get stronger. While Toga believes she has gotten stronger, she also thinks she has not closed the gap between her and Mizunami. She promised not to give up until she can definitely beat Mizunami!

The illusion that’s been crafted for Kakeru Sekiguchi & Mahiro Kiryu is at risk of falling apart. Kamifuku outright told them before their match that the two do not look alike! However after doing the opening exchange with Sekiguchi, Kamifuku lost track of who was who and couldn’t tell them apart any more. An attempt at twin magic was also played on Aja Kong but she solved the puzzle by slapping the both of them one after the other. She gave Sekiguchi the Back Drop but Kamifuku again confused her opponent for Kiryu and tried to pin her when she wasn’t the legal woman. The real Kiryu tried to capitalize but Kamifuku fought back and correctly pinned her with the Famouser. She can’t explain how she confused Sekiguchi for Kiryu other than they started looking more alike to her as the match progressed. Kamifuku will next meet Kong on opposing teams for Kong’s 40th Anniversary show. Kong said the “fake Mahiro” will be there too. She would have also booked the real one if she had the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title but without it, Kong has zero interest in Mahiro Kiryu because she’s useless.

Golden Week is a very busy time in Japan which was proven when Pom Harajuku led a train attack in her match and called it “Golden Week Traffic Jam”. She also used her loud screaming stop Mei Suruga from doing a rope walk move on Yuki Aino. Suruga then didn’t know what to do when Raku laid down in the ring and started to sulk instead of nap. She got better when Suruga lied down next to her and patted her on the head in apology. The three gremlin sisters then went crazy on Love Triangle until Harajuku took off her shoes and tried to fight off Mizuki with them. Mizuki took the shoes off her and then accidentally threw them into the audience while fighting with Aino. Harajuku got a replacement pair from Raku but Mizuki ended up throwing those away too. She then beat Takami with the Diving Foot Stomp after getting some help with Takami. Suruga told Mizuki afterwards that today was the first time they’ve teamed up in eight years! The two of them told Takami she needs to become as bold as they are.

YuuRI was back in TJPW and started off her match facing against Chika Nanase. When it was Shino Suzuki’s turn to get involved, she took Wakana Uehara sightseeing around the ring. Kira Summer breaking up Nanase’s pin on Uehara caused all six wrestlers to get in and start fighting. Suzuki got rid of Summer with the Belly-To-Belly Suplex. She & HIMAWARI then got YuuRI with a Spear/Neckbreaker combo. Nanase tried to finish off Uehara by herself but Uehara turned things around and won with the Sushi Tornado.

In the opening match the two rookies Ren Konatsu and Shion Kanzaki faced each other once again. Konatsu came out on top this time by using a new submission move to win. She put Kanzaki in the Rings Of Saturn to win and it was later named the Shoulder Bites (maybe because the move was also once called the Batista Bite?).

When the show began Rise Shirai introduced everyone to Momo Sato, confirming that the idol has officially become a trainee for TJPW like she said she would back in March. Sato is the younger sister of DDT wrestler Daichi Sato and has spent time in the wrestling ring before doing stuff for HEAT-UP. Since then she became an idol with Harajuku Gakuen and was scouted by Sanshiro Takagi to give TJPW a go. Sato greeted the fans and told them she will do her best to make her debut. On a sidenote, this news comes shortly after a now former trainee was seen working ringside duties at a Marigold show over the weekend. Anri was the trainee who was meant to debut alongside Shion Kanzaki back in January but it was called off when she wasn’t considered to be in the right condition to debut yet. I hadn’t heard anything about her ever since that announcement came out. Then very recently there was a Rossy Ogawa interview where he revealed Marigold will soon have a new rookie who was originally supposed to debut somewhere else. A few Japanese fans on Twitter were quick to recognise Anri at ringside at Marigold and now things are starting to clear up a little bit. I don’t see any harm or foul over it. Every wrestling company has trainees who come, go and then debut somewhere else for whatever reason. TJPW is no exception and have been accused of committing similar actions in the past. Also while we’re here is the other trainee Yuuka still around? I never notice what trainees are working ringside duties until social media points it out.

The 7th June show will have MIRAI returning to wrestle and also Sumire Uesaka appearing as a guest commentator. As far as I know Uesaka is still the Iron Man Champion after winning it back at “GRAND PRINCESS ’26”.

TJPW is collaborating with the Tokyo Idol Festival to hold matches during the TIF ASIA Tour being held in Odaiba this summer. The matches will be held on 31sy July, 1st August and 3rd August.

The largest turnout for a Tokyo Joshi Pro ever gathered together in Sumo Hall to see multiple new champions being crowned along with the coronation of Yuki Arai! After many weeks of back and forth tag matches with Miu Watanabe, Arai got to have the last word with a definitive victory to become the new Princess Of Princess Champion. Watanabe was able to block the Finally but did not expect Arai to follow it up with the Rookie Award. Watanabe hit back with a Batting Hammer swing only for Arai to respond again with a Big Boot followed by the Full Nelson Buster. While Arai was too hurt to make the pin there and then, she got into position to hit the Finally and pin Watanabe for the three count.

Arai received the brand new 3rd Generation Princess Title and thanked Watanabe for the match they just had. She convinced Watanabe to get back into the ring so Arai could talk about how much she aspired to be like her, from her debut match with her and all the time they spent training together ever since. Today is the start of another new day and Arai hopes she will fight Watanabe even more. This time it can be her who accepts Watanabe’s challenge for the title. Watanabe said she would like to see Arai hold the title for as long as she can but she is will still aim to become the champion again so she can hold the new belt. They will always friends who will fight for the rest of their lives. When Watanabe left, Arai thanked everyone on the show today for creating such a wonderful time. She thought a lot about what kind of champion she can be and has come up with an answer. She wants to be a champion who can dream and make those dreams come true with her friends. That dream is to make TJPW even bigger and more loved so they can hold a show at the Tokyo Dome! She admits it takes a lot of courage to say that which is why she is saying it in front of everybody. She wants to dream the biggest, most foolish dreams to show everybody the most unbelievable sights!

 

There was more said during Arai’s backstage comments after the show. She actually talked about a dream like this when she graduated from SKE48 a year ago but it was only in front of 300 people. By being able to dedicate 100% of her time to pro wrestling she has not only grown as a wrestler but has also come to enjoy pro wrestling more. Her first defence will be against J-Rod in Las Vegas next month. They’ve been friends during J-Rod’s tours of Japan but have never wrestled each other. She’s looking forward to fighting her in America and likes that they wear the same costume colours. Watanabe has conflicting feelings coming out of the match. She likes Arai but is worried that she may now start to hate her! She can’t explain what these feelings are. But even though she is no longer the Princess Champion, she will always be Miu-derella. She also seems to have attracted the attention of one of the outsiders today. But more on that later…

Ober Eats wanted to defend the Princess Tag Team Titles against a team more glamourous than them. Well, be careful what your ask for. The newly redesigned Princess Tag Titles now belong to The IInspiration! The challengers looked to be in trouble when Yuki Kamifuku gave them the Double Famouser. Things changed when Wakana Uehara tried to do the Sushi Tornado but Jessie McKay countered it into a Blue Thunder Bomb. Cassie Lee took Kamifuku out of the running with the Twist Of Fate, leaving Uehara all by herself. The IInspiration took advantage of the opening and used The IIdolizer on her to win the titles. Backstage Kamifuku thinks the moment they lost was when they saw The IInspiration walk out looking like they were dressed for a night out in Roppongi. She is annoyed that she lost the titles but looks forward to seeing what her next path will be. Uehara said she wants to win all of the championships, both single and tag team. Kamifuku advised her to reflect on today’s loss first and not to get greedy so quickly. Uehara doesn’t know what the future holds but she thanks everyone for supporting Ober Eats. The IInspiration said they were taken aback by how much heart their opponents showed but they’ve been teaming together for almost 20 years and are unbeatable with that kind of experience.

Every time MIRAI has been in an International Princess Title match this year she has brought along someone from Michinoku Pro to stand in her corner. That continued today with Hayato Jr. Fujita making an appearance! But by the end of the bout the spotlight was on Suzume for bringing the title back to TJPW. MIRAI hit her with some heavy Lariats along the way including one to counter a Diving Cross Body from the top rope after a weird looking standoff. Suzume’s use of the Ring A Bell made the difference, with the springboard version putting MIRAI down for the count. The two BeeStar wrestlers then embraced each other after the match. Backstage MIRAI talked about how often she would lose matches in TJPW and be left looking up at the lights. Today felt a little different because of how much she has grown since leaving TJPW. She definitely wants to fight Suzume again. Meanwhile Suzume said she is who she is today because of MIRAI and meeting her again reaffirmed her love for TJPW. Now that she has the IP Title again she wants to defend it against wrestlers from all over the world to make it a championship that everybody wants to fight for. However Sakura Hattori would find Suzume backstage and hand over a scroll to her. In it was a message declaring a challenge for a title match. Suzume accepted her challenge.

Before the intergender tag match could begin, Super Sasadango Machine had a PowerPoint Presentation to explain how he and Hyper Misao could beat Konosuke Takeshita & Yuka Sakazaki today. However the PowerPoint said they have no chance of winning because the married couple are superior to them in every aspect and have a perfectly harmonious relationship to boot. Instead, Sasadango figured the best plan was to have forced synchronization by getting the audience to speak out CyberFight’s corporate philosophy in unison. Misao then led the audience to chant the 2026 slogan for TJPW, “KAWAII! DREAM! STRONG! Pro wrestling that makes you look forward to tomorrow!” Sasadango also worked out that if you mixed their opponent’s names together, you would get Kohnosuke Sakazaki, the guitarist from The Alfee. Using that as inspiration the plan would be for Sasadango to immobilize Takeshita on the stage while Misao summons several wrestlers dressed like her to all beat Sakazaki in the ring. The final part of the plan would be for Misao to spray Sakazaki in the face and then pin her for the win.

As the match began, Sasadango lured Takeshita up to the stage by waving around his personal 1950s style Leica camera. Sakazaki told Takeshita he could just buy a new one but he ignored her to chase after Sasadango. Misao then summoned her extras Hyper MiKAWAII (Uta Takami), Hyper MiDREAM (Ren Konatsu) and Hyper MiSTRONG (Toga) so the four of them could all attack Sakazaki while chanting their slogan. However the four way spray attack backfired when Sakazaki ran out of the way and everyone blinded each other instead. Later when the fighting escaped the ring again, Takeshita missed a Big Boot meant for Sasadango and accidentally hit Sakazaki with it! Later in the match Misao went for the spray again but found out it was now empty. She called for a pause so she could speak on the microphone because she wasn’t able to do it earlier due to Sasadango’s PowerPoint. In her speech she said she was the first one to raise her hand when TJPW were looking for an opponent for Sakazaki’s return. Misao does not have most of her seniors still around in TJPW and Sakazaki is one of them. When Sakazaki graduated from TJPW, Misao never had the courage to express her feelings and was left to regret it. She pleaded with Takeshita to tag Sakazaki in so she could fight her one on one for the rest of the match. Sakazaki would win that battle but Sasadango broke the pin count believing Misao could still win. The match returned to being two against two and Sakazaki got to beat Misao proper with the Magical Magical Girl Splash. Backstage Sakazaki said the “Cultural Pro Wrestling” style provided by DDT and TJPW is something special. Both Sasadango & Misao will continue to represent that style for a long time to come. She also vaguely remembers feeling a kick to her head at some point during the match but Takeshita told her she’s just imaginining things. Takeshita also said that he and Sakazaki will strive for greater heights together hand in hand along with their pet dog Kenshiro. Misao thanked Sasadango for somehow achieving her selfish wish to fight Sakazaki one on one within a 3 meter radiance of Sumo Hall.

High reviews are popping off for Match #6. Miyu Yamashita & Arisu Endo tried their hardest to stand their ground against Spark Rush. Even from the beginning the tension was high with Yamashita and Sareee staring each other down in the ring with some hair pulling to go with it. Endo lived up to her promise not to be the odd one out of the match by bringing the fight to both Sareee & Takumi Iroha. Late in the match Sareee got to roll Yamashita into position for a Double Stomp only for Yamashita to fire back at her with the Skull Kick. Endo wasn’t able to last much longer fighting Iroha by herself. Despite a spirited fight, she was put away with the Running Three. Backstage Iroha said Yamashita was someone who was always on her radar and she hasn’t had enough of fighting her yet. She’d like to see how Yamashita would fare against her outside of TJPW. Both of Spark Rush also thought Endo was just some brat but it turns out she has a lot of guts. Sareee was happy to have Iroha by her side for her return to TJPW. She would like to fight Yamashita again soon but Miu Watanabe has also caught her attention. Yamashita called the match fun but thinks the fun will disappear if she doesn’t win. Endo wanted to say she will keep chasing Spark Rush until she can beat them but struggled to fight through the tears. Yamashita instructed her to hold her head up high and say it clearly.

Mizuki entered an epic battle of David Vs Goliath armed with the brand new Burn Pico Pico Core Axe Hammer. But it wasn’t just Andreza Giant Panda she had to worry about. Andreza was accompanied by other New Nemuro Pro Wrestling acts like Ossan Tiger and Mr. USA, the latter of which tried to interfere at a different points in the match. Mizuki survived the massive Headbutt and Spinning Back Fist, then bridged out of the Andreza Press to start Double Stomping on the panda. She then grabbed her new weapon, climbed the top rope and just like she did two years earlier knocked him down with an almighty swing! Mr. USA spoiled the moment by pulling the ref out of the ring but Mizuki took care of him by doing the Whirling Candy on top of him. Andreza found the fighting spirit to stand back up but Mizuki took him down again this time with the Diving Foot Stomp right to the face. That was the finishing blow for Mizuki to pin the panda. Backstage Mizuki says she really loves pandas but Andreza is evil. With that said she is willing to put this all behind her so she and the Giant Panda can become friends. Andreza’s excuse for losing is he is usually in hibernation at this time of year until early September. He would like to come back for revenge later in the year during a more warmer season.

The Tojo Tokosatsu Club got to achieve their dream of fighting alongside the Super Sentai. They made a big entrance with three of the red rangers Ninja Red, Geki Red & Goon Red Go-On Red. However their opponents had a suprise of their own when they were joined by a trio of villains from the same show and they took Rise Shirai hostage! Pom Harajuku told the Club they shouldn’t have brought their hobby into the ring. If they want to save Shirai then they should forfeit the match! Yuki Aino admitted she was excited to see the Super Sentai collaboration also included bringing in monsters but her team didn’t know what to do. Suddenly the voice actor Tetsu Inada left the commentary table and entered the ring. He said the Super Sentai will never lose and he encouraged the audience to cheer for them because that powers up superheroes just like it does pro wrestlers. Together, the Super Sentai and Tokosatsu Club sent the villains fleeing from the ring, freeing Shirai in the process. It was then time to start the actual match. Harajuku wasn’t worried because Aja Kong & VENY are more dangerous than any monster. The two of them were a tough pair for the Tokosatsu Club to fight. The Club tried to form a Megazord but collapsed under each other’s weight. The other team suffered a setback of their own when Kong missed Shoko Nakajima with the steel can and hit Harajuku with it instead. Haru Kazashiro knocked Kong out of the ring with a second rope Dropkick and the coast was clear for Nakajima to pin Harajuku with the Diving Senton. Nakajima said she worked way harder than usual because she wanted to look her coolest in front of Ninja Red. Aino didn’t want to show a pathetic performance in front of the Super Sentai. Kazashiro thinks they were stronger than usual because their feelings are the source of their strength and the Super Sentai collaboration magnified them today. Kong blamed Harajuku over calling for her to use the metal can because you can’t use an 18 liter can for everything. There’s a time and place for to use it and Harajuku’s timing is terrible! Kong also thought the monsters were useless because they all came unarmed to fight a bunch of Sentai carrying swords and guns!

Many stressful games of Rock Paper Scissors have prepared Shino Suzuki for today’s big match. She couldn’t help but go through it one more time with HIMAWARI as part of their entrance together. The training paid off because Bumping gRitters were able to win their match! Suzuki used the Belly-To-Belly Suplex on Toga while HIMAWARI was able to pin Ren Konatsu with the Sunflower Tempest for the victory. Suzuki was so happy over the result because before the show she said Bumping gRitters were going to leave the ring by walking up the Ryogoku entrance ramp instead of leaving through the side exit. She got to live up to her word. HIMAWARI said next time they’ll try to do it again but on their own. They think they might even get to fight for a championship the next time they come to Sumo Hall! Konatsu talked about how everyone else in the match is from the 2023 class and seeing them all fired up shows she still has a long way to go. Toga said she’ll work hard to overtake the gRitters and win next time.

The Battle Royal was a free for all before it even began. After Minimo made a big entrance with Mari Yaguchi, a video played on the screen showing Raku backstage pinning Antonio Honda while he was asleep to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. Raku then made it down to the ring to start the match as the defending champion. Yaguchi interfered to attack Raku with a Sexy Beam but the two then joined forces to fight off Mifu Ashida. Raku broke off the alliance by hitting Minimo with the Poppo Chop for the first elimination. Momo Sato got to show off her skills against Chika Nanase but was ultimately taken out by Nanase’s Inari Torii submission hold. Rika Tatsumi appeared under her psycho persona The Great Wakabayashi-kun. She was armed with a foreign object that she used to choke both Nanase and Kira Summer. It also had a blade hidden inside it which she used to stab Raku’s pillow. After doing that she pinned Raku with the Neck Hanging Bomb to win the title. Sakura Hattori made quick work of eliminating Nanase when she entered the match but putting her attention on Matcha afterwards allowed Summer to knock her from the ring apron to the floor for an elimination. Mahiro Kiryu then got to do the same thing to both Summer and Matcha. Sumire Uesaka made her big entrance by rampaging through the crowd armed with a saber just like Tiger Jeet Singh (Tetsu Inada was following her while dressed as Umanosuke Ueda). Honda used his Gongitsune joke to knock Ashida out of the ring. The Shining Gongitsune meant for Kiryu hit Tatsumi instead and Kiryu rolled her up to win the title next. Honda was now ready to fight his war with Uesaka until Uesaka tripped and injured herself. She told her own Gongitsune joke and hit Honda with it to send him tumbling out of the ring. She then used a Victor Roll on Kiryu to set up a Knee Bar submission, tapping Kiryu out to win the Battle Royal and become Iron Man Champion! She’s a little worried about defending it because her saber went missing during the match and she doesn’t know where to find it. Meanwhile Momo Sato said she had so much fun she wants to start from scratch and join TJPW as a trainee. Her goal as a pro wrestler will be to one day take down her brother Daichi Sato!

Today is Uta Takami’s birthday and she got to celebrate it by beating Shion Kanzaki in the opening match of the show. While Kanzaki had some spots of offence including a Jumping Back Elbow from the second rope, Takami took her down with the Koala Clutch and tightened the grip around the body with her legs until Kanzaki gave up. Takami said one of her wrestling goals is to win a match in Sumo Hall. It’s not a big enough goal to make her cry tears of joy but she’s still incredibly happy to achieve it today. Kanzaki said she was very nervous to be in the first match of the show in front of so many people inside a big venue. She gave it her all which is why the defeat feels even more frustrating. She promised to work even harder so that she can beat Takami one day.
