*To-y wins Viento Levante’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.
Next week DDT will be back in Sumo Hall for their big show of the summer. Today’s show was pretty much a last chance for everyone to get ready for Ryogoku. The main event served as a preview for both the KO-D Openweight Title match as well as the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. And just for a little bit extra, the result meant one of the Right To Challenge Gauntlets changed hands as well. Strange Love Connection focused a bit too much on the paleyouth although MAO’s target was Yuki Ueno. It was the The 37KAMIINA that made the difference but barely so. To-y was able to counter a double team move from MAO & Viento Levante and through that counter pinned Levante to win the match. That means To-y now holds a Gauntlet that he could cash in on Ueno if he wanted to. Ueno asked him to wait until after “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2026” because he’s looking forward wrestling MAO for the title first. MAO warned Ueno that he’s become so strong he might hurt him. He cannot stand in the ring unless he becomes the KO-D Champion but at least he’ll have fun while beating Ueno. Takeshi Masada then warned that paleyouth will be looking to crush Levante at Sumo Hall.
The KO-D Tag Team Champions are feeling mixed over their match today. FANTÔMES DRAMATIC lost but HARASHIMA noted that neither he nor Chris Brookes took the fall against Junta Miyawaki. HARASHIMA wonders just how much Miyawaki and Shinya Aoki have both grown but he also expects the title match at Ryogoku will be fun. Aoki overheard him say that backstage and accused HARASHIMA of becoming complacent. Miyawaki said he wants to beat HARASHIMA for the titles and then walk down the RIZIN entrance aisle with Aoki carrying the KO-D Tag Title belts!
Kazuki Hirata offered to help Danshoku Dieno get ready for YAMATO because beating Hirata in only a couple of seconds doesn’t prepare anybody for much. He knows YAMATO hates the Danshoku style so he came up with an idea to have Dieno chase him around the ring, thinking it will improve Dieno’s speed to use against YAMATO. Hirata also had a trick up his sleeve to wrap tape around Dieno’s tights so he couldn’t remove them and do the Danshoku Driver. Dieno could still use the Lip Lock though and ended up catching Hirata with the move.
The other standard Right To Challenge Gauntlet changed hands when Hideki Okatani pinned Shunma Katsumata in a tag match. This came after the two fought each other with chairs while Daisuke Sasaki rendered Masami Inahata useless with a Low Blow. Okatani got the better of Katsumata and now has a Gauntlet he can cash in.
The longstanding feud of the GMs could be heading towards a thrilling finale. Tetsuya Koda showed up to team with wrestlers from DAMNATION T.A, which means today he was DAMNATION T.K! was able to defend the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title against Hisaya Imabayashi in a 6-Man Tag Match. But after the match Imabayashi faked a handshake to kick Koda below the belt and knock him down with the Uraken Backfist. Imabayashi won the belt and told Koda that all of their matches against each other going back to August 2017 have happened in Shinjuku FACE. Since the building is shutting down soon Imabayashi challenged Koda to a final showdown in the venue on the 14th August Beer Garden show. Koda accepted and told Imabayashi to hold onto the title because not only does Koda want the belt back but the loser should immediately retire! Imabayashi accepted the challenge only for Ilusion to suddenly roll him over and pin him to win the Iron Man Title.
The paleyouth and SLC teams involved in the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles match had a contract signing ceremony at the start of the show. Yukio Naya said he is putting his entire support towards Levante winning the match for their team so he can prove he is not weak. KANON is more focused on stopped paleyouth from breaking the record for most KO-D 6-Man Tag Title defences. The reason is KANON currently ties the record with paleyouth. Levante admitted his talk has been week leading up to the match and he feels he has no choice but to win. Masada made a request to DDT that the match be placed as the opening bout for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2026” because he thinks paleyouth breaking the most defences record would be a special moment for the show. Yuya Koroku heard about KANON’s goal in the match and made it his mission to target him in order to break the record. Daichi Sato wants to outshine Naya in the match so that whenever wrestling fans think of heavyweights in DDT, they will think of Sato instead of Naya. All of paleyouth (including Bunbun) promised to work harder than ever before.

7. Road To PETER PAN 2026! Special Tag Match: Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata defeated MAO & KANON (w/ KIMIHIRO & YUZUKI) when Ueno submitted MAO with a Sleeper Hold (19:22).

It’s a little over two weeks until DDT graces Sumo Hall once again, this time for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2026”. But before that could take place there were some things to settle in Korakuen Hall first. The Ryogoku main event got a preview today with Yuki Ueno and MAO on opposite sides of a tag match between The 37KAMIINA and Strange Love Connection. MAO & KANON tried to overwhelm Ueno with their square shaped powers but Shunma Katsumata was there to take KANON out of the picture with a Topé con Hilo. MAO went to seal the deal by giving Ueno the Michinoku Driver II but missed the Cannonball 450°. Ueno switched his gameplan to getting MAO into a Sleeper Hold whether it was catching him Blackout style or keeping a grip on him with a Body Scissors. Ueno’s relentless hold of the move kept MAO from escaping and he eventually had to tap out to the KO-D Openweight Champion.

When the match was over Ueno took the microphone and said MAO still has a long way to go. He remembers when MAO left The 37KAMIINA and fought him for the KO-D Title at Sumo Hall two years ago. Back then he thought MAO was shining so brightly he would soar to the global stage and blow the whole world away. In the two years since then, Ueno has wondered if MAO could ever become the champion who can lead DDT to the Tokyo Dome. The upcoming title match should be the most important and exciting thing that has ever happened to MAO so Ueno wants him to show the most dazzling brilliance he’s ever had on 11th August. Backstage Ueno said that MAO needs to be more fiery because he hasn’t been as passionate as he was back when he was in The 37KAMIINA. However, MAO said backstage that since he left the unit he’s cut down on drinking, given up eating ramen and has become more disciplined. He is still edgy but now he has matured a bit. Everything he’s been doing is so he can beat Ueno for the KO-D Title!

Well, Yuki Ishida has been saying for weeks how much he wants to change and he got what he wanted in the end. He wagered his hair to get a shot at the DDT Extreme Title held by Hideki Okatani and… er… he doesn’t have his hair anymore. With his best effort Ishida blocked the Claymore kick, Power Bombed Okatani and fought his way into finally hitting him with the Ensho but at the last second Okatani got his foot on the ropes to break the pin. Okatani then booted Ishida in the head over and over until he kept him down with the Claymore to win the match and claim Ishida’s hair. Okatani said after the match there is no way Ishida could beat him but he acknowledges his spirit. Ishida took it upon himself to cut his own hair and when he was finished, Okatani told him to not to forget this feeling. He also reminded Ishida the reason why he joined Harimao was because someone (Kazusada Higuchi) saw his potential so he should not give up here. When Ishida left, Hisaya Imabayashi asked Okatani who he wants to defend the Extreme Title against at Sumo Hall? There is only one man and that’s Shunma Katsumata! The two have previously fought each other for the title twice with Katsumata winning both times. Katsumata didn’t want to waste words and accepted the challenge with little else to say.

The tag team championship rivalry between FANTÔMES DRAMATIC and paleyouth that has gone on for the last month has ended in a stalemate. Fandora weren’t able to beat paleyouth for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles two weeks ago and paleyouth weren’t able to take the KO-D Tag Team Titles away from Fandora today. Yuya Koroku came prepared for HARASHIMA after the warm up matches they had leading up to today. He rolled backwards to avoid the Somato and trap HARASHIMA into an Armbar. He then got Takeshi Masada in so they could give HARASHIMA their double team finisher and although Chris Brookes was kept away from breaking the pin, HARASHIMA still kicked out of it. Koroku thought he had the match won when he landed a Moonsault Press but HARASHIMA suddenly turned the pin into an Armbar submission of his own, surprising Koroku and making him tap out to grab victory from the jaws of defeat. After the match Shinya Aoki & Junta Miyawaki both approached the champions to ask them for a title match at Sumo Hall. HARASHIMA said he would take a challenge from anyone at anytime so they will get it.

The masked dancer Kumadori was getting some attention online in the last week with highlights of his DDT matches gaining traction on social media. He didn’t waste time showing his agility in the ring alongside Kazuma Sumi but the pace changed once Daichi Sato and Kazuki Hirata tagged in. To-y attempted some high flying of his own with the T.O.Y. Diving Cross Body but nobody was there to catch him. Hirata wanted to try the same move (he calls it H.R.T) but his legs buckled from the pressure of standing on the top rope. To-y at least got some momentum back by pulling Soma Takao’s t-shirt over his face and Machine Gun Chopping his bare chest in the corner. Even though Takao was blinded by the shirt, To-y still missed another T.O.Y. dive when Takao walked out of harm’s way. Hirata rallied his team to literally run circles around Kumadori but when it was time to put on the Hirata GO! Glasses, Kumadori kicked him away and put on his own pair! The two fought past everyone else to dance with each other until Hirata got Kumadori with a cheap shot. Kumadori stopped Hirata in his tracks to make him dance more but it was only so he could roll up Hirata in a School Boy and pin him for the victory.

Ilusion recently introduced his own version of the Right To Challenge Gauntlet to use on existing Gauntlet holders but ended up losing it to Rukiya. So now Ilusion was on the hunt to win one of the regular Gauntlets currently held by Viento Levante. Speaking of Levante, his focus is on winning the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles with SLC at Sumo Hall. Having a Gauntlet for a KO-D Title shot is just a bonus for him at the moment. Ilusion & Daisuke Sasaki attacked Levante & Yukio Naya before the bell. They also had MJ Paul at ringside interfering for DAMNATION T.A unlike KIMIHIRO & YUZUKI who were both there for SLC. However Levante dodged a chair attack from Suzuki and Naya stopped DAMNATION T.A from further using the weapon. Naya then Choke Slammed Ilusion into position for Levante to do the Diving Headbutt and win the match. Backstage Levante promised he will not cash in his Gauntlet until after “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2026”. He is tempted to steal the glory from MAO that night but is thinking about cashing in somewhere else afterwards.

The (one-sided) rivalry between Sanshiro Takagi and Minoru Suzuki was brought back to the forefront but there is now going to be a twist in the tale. Before the match began, a camera backstage filmed Takagi complaining to the GM Imabayashi about not having a match booked for Sumo Hall yet. Imabayashi told him if he could win his match he would consider putting him on the card. Takagi had Danshoku Dieno as his tag partner to fight Suzuki & Jun Akiyama but that was not enough of an X factor to get him his desired result. Dieno almost lured Akiyama into the Danshoku Driver but he ended up getting the Exploder Suplex instead. Akiyama then held Dino in a Front Neck Lock and Dieno gave up when Takagi accidentally shoved is own face into Dieno’s backside while trying to escape a Manjigatame that Suzuki put him in. After the match Imabayashi told Takagi he won’t be wrestling at Sumo Hall but Suzuki says otherwise. Suzuki was actually impressed at how Takagi defended himself from the Manjigatame so he wants the two of them to team up at Sumo Hall! Imabayashi couldn’t refuse Suzuki’s idea and went to work with putting a match together. It was later revealed that Suzuki & Takagi will face Kazuki Hirata & To-y on the show.

Before the team up of Shinya Aoki and Junta Miyawaki happened, the two faced off against each other in a singles match first. The two went back and forth with holds and counters. At one point Aoki used the ropes to his advantage to tangle up Miyawaki but Miyawaki got some moments of control whether it was using an Osui Suplex Hold for a nearfall or a Cattle Mutilation to stretch out Aoki. He also hit the Sunshine Driver but Aoki kicked out of the pin. Miyawaki then went for the Sunshine Clutch but Aoki found a way to reverse it and get the three count out of nowhere. It was backstage after the match when Miyawaki caught up with Aoki telling him he wants to wrestle with him more. Aoki suggested the two of them chase after the KO-D Tag Titles which led to them making the challenge to Fandora later in the show.

The pre-show and the introduction had some major implications for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. During the dark match both Yuni and Rukiya felt like marked men with Yuni holding the Iron Man Title and Rukiya holding the RTC Gauntlet that can be cashed in on other Gauntlet holders. Hinata Kasai wanted to pin Yuni quickly to win the title but Naomi Yoshimura was there to throw both him around. Antonio Honda struggled to contain Yuni at points but had the wherewithal to block a Jacknife Pin and press himself down to get the three count and win the Iron Man Title. Both Masami Inahata and Rukiya tried to pin Honda after the match but Honda escaped the ring.

Honda would then reappear at ringside during the show opening announcements. Three members of The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) were in the ring with Imabayashi at the time to promote Tokyo Joshi Pro’s upcoming appearances at the Tokyo Idol Festival. Honda tripped over the ropes on his way into the ring so he decided to tell The Up Up Girls his latest Gongitsune joke. Obviously his sense of humour isn’t appropriate for the idols so Miu Watanabe and Uta Takami both covered their ears. That made them defenceless so Honda got the both of them with Gongitsune eye pokes. Raku however countered him with a lullaby that sent both Honda and Imabayashu to sleep. She then quietly pinned Honda to become the latest Iron Man Champion! Remember that whoever enters the Iron Man Title Battle Royal at Sumo Hall as the defending champion will receive a bullet train travel pass for one year as their prize!

DDT “ROJO PRO WRESTLING IN NARAHA TOWN SUMMER FESTIVAL 2026”, 25/07/2026
Fukushima Naraha Town Tenjinmisaki Sports Park
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Falls Count Anywhere 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y defeated Takeshi Masada, Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida when To-y pinned Masada with a Diving Body Press from the Ladder through the Table (15:42).
It really is going to take a very long time for To-y to work off his debt towards Naraha Town through ambassador gig. The amount is in billions of yen! He got to take a little bit off of it today by getting DDT to hold a Falls Count Anywhere match at a festival with the local mascot Yuzutaro in attendance to cheer on The 37KAMIINA. The action in the park found its way over to a nearby playground where everyone got tangled up in the different slides and play areas. The action returned to the stage area where it started. Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida were both knocked out of the picture causing Takeshi Masada to grab a chair to attack Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata with. To-y kept on fighting and left Masada prone on a table, allowing him to climb a ladder on the stage and do a Diving Body Press through the table to pin Masada for the three count. After the match it was declared that To-y will now be the leader of all of Naraha Town’s tourism ambassadors until his debt is fully repaid. He should best get back to work then.

DDT “LET’S GO! IMAIKE MOTTOIKE 2026”, 19/07/2026
Aichi Imaike Gas Hall
??? Fans – Unannounced
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Yuni defeated Shunma Katsumata (c) by Submission (1:01 pm).
*Yuni becomes the 1,844th champion.
1. Junta Miyawaki, Yuki Ishida & Rukiya defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Ilusion (w/ MJ Paul) when Rukiya pinned Ilusion with a Running Elbow Butt (10:57).
*Rukiya wins Ilusion’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere, Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.
2. 3 Way Tag Match: Kazuma Sumi & Yuni defeated Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata and Akito & Hinata Kasai when Yuni pinned Kasai with the Jorge Clutch (10:12).
3. Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya & Viento Levante defeated Jun Akiyama, Naomi Yoshimura & Masami Inahata when Levante submitted Inahata with the Body Scissors Sleeper Hold (10:53).
*Viento Levante wins Masami Inahata’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.
4. FANTÔMES DRAMATIC Vs paleyouth!: Takeshi Masada & Daichi Sato defeated Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda when Masada pinned Honda with the Osui Suplex (12:41).
5. Special Single Match: HARASHIMA defeated Yuya Koroku with an Armbar (8:09).
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs STRANGE LOVE CONNECTION!: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y defeated MAO, KANON & Muscle Sakai (w/ KIMIHIRO) when Katsumata pinned Sakai with a School Boy (20:41).
Poor Muscle Sakai just cannot find a home to settle in. A while back he lost a mask match as Super Sasadango Machine and was apparantly kicked out of a unit that absolutely exists called DHAOS. He was rescued by Strange Love Connection and accepted into that unit as a part time member whenever SLC comes to visit Nagoya. Today was Sakai’s first match as a Nagoya only member and it ended pretty badly for him. He tried to assist MAO with his Flying Stunner but was too large for MAO to jump over. The 37KAMIINA took advantage of it and Shunma Katsumata pinned Sakai with a School Boy after Yuki Ueno hit him with a Lariat. Sakai’s performance was so disappointing that SLC kicked him out of the group after the match! Then the members of DHAOS (Danshoku Dieno, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda) came down and at first looked to make peace with Sakai. Instead it turned into another group beating so Sakai had to be rescued by The 37KAMIINA. When the dust cleared, The 37KAMIINA then decided to accept Sakai into their group as the Nagoya-Only member Wellbe Sakai!
The latest series of matches between FANTÔMES DRAMATIC and paleyouth were split one side a piece. First there was the tag match where Chris Brookes brought back the SCHADENFREUDE International rubber band spot. Daichi Sato grabbed the stretched band off of him but let it go to snap Takeshi Masada in the face. Masada still won the match for paleyouth by countering Antonio Honda’s Japanese Leg Roll Clutch into an Osui Suplex cradle hold for the pinfall. In the singles match HARASHIMA caught on to Yuya Koroku’s plan to submit him so decided to do that to him instead. HARASHIMA hit the Somato on Koroku and rather than pin him, he put him in an Armbar to make him tap out.
Hideki Okatani attacked Yuki Ishida after their match and then got on the microphone. He said some of the Nagoya fans in attendance won’t be at Korakuen Hall for the Hair Contra DDT Extreme Title match so he’s going to give them a preview of what’s going to happen. He then took out a pair of scissors and cut off a braid of Ishida’s hair! Later backstage Ishida said he is going to make Okatani pay for this.
There’s been some action in regard to a few different DDT prizes during the show. Viento Levante submitted Masami Inahata to take the Blue Right To Challenge Gauntlet from him. Ilusion also lost his Right To Challenge AAAA Gauntlet to Rukiya only a few days after introducing the new purple Gauntlet to the proceedings.
Shunma Katsumata currently holds the Red Right To Challenge Gauntlet and told the fans he is going to protect it to raise its value until he feels the time is right to cash it in on Ueno. However he ended up losing the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title to Yuni at the beginning of the show entirely by accident. When NωA Jr. were performing their song each member all picked a side of the room to cheer the loudest. Katsumata admitted he lost the game because Yuni’s side was the loudest. Yukinori Matsui overheard that and decided that also meant Katsumata submitted to Yuni which makes Yuni the new Iron Man Champion!

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles – Falls Count Anywhere Match: Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato (c) defeated Chris Brookes, HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda when Sato pinned Honda with a Diving Body Press through a Table (19:41).
*V6 for paleyouth.
There was a contact signing at the start of the show that for the two upcoming title matches going on between FANTÔMES DRAMATIC and paleyouth. However paleyouth were late to the signing which caused Antonio Honda to get angry. He demanded that today’s KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match should now be Falls Count Anywhere. Akito was in charge as the GM today and he agreed to make the change. The two sides brawled all over Shinjuku FACE until Honda was placed onto a table near the counter. Daichi Sato climbed the counter and jumped off it to crush Honda through the table and win the match, meaning paleyouth have now tied the record for most KO-D 6-Man Tag Title defences!
After the match three members from Strange Love Connection appeared and confronted paleyouth. KANON & Yukio Naya stood aside so Viento Levante could challenge the champions for a title match. He said he went to Mexico and doesn’t know if it was worth it. He then came home and worked hard to become as strong and cool as everyone else but doesn’t feel like he has earned the right to make this challenge. But if there is at least one person out there who cheers for him he will work hard for them. paleyouth accepted the challenge because they all understand where Levante is coming from. They will defend their titles against SLC on 11th August with the goal of breaking the defence record at Sumo Hall.
The second of two Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlets belongs to Masami Inahata after he won the Blindfold Bra 4 Way Match. But since he was still blindfolded when the match ended, Ilusion easily crept into the ring and approached Inahata from behind to put him in a Sleeper Hold. All he did though was give Inahata a warning that he can cash in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere, Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet on him whenever he wants.
You better start believing in ghost stories Kaisei Takechi. You’re in one! He took part in the annual multi-man match that turns into a ghost story if it does not end in three minutes. He had to be dragged into the ring by everyone else because he admittedly does not like scary stories. Danshoku Dieno tried to calm him down by telling him he only has to fall down when Hisaya Imabayashi points at him. That doesn’t actually mean he dies. Everyone then encouraged Imabayashi to do his point except he wanted to add a twist to the proceedings. He would only do the point at one person, whoever wins the Battle Royal! The match continued and Takechi ended up becoming the last man standing. Imabayashi began to tell his ghost story called “The Coin Locker” about a person finding an abandoned child at a coin locker. However Imabayashi didn’t expect Takechi to pull out a script and start reciting the story alongside him. Takechi then revealed he took part in this match to get revenge on Imabayashi for his mentor Makoto Oishi because all those years of Imabayashi doing the “It’s you!” point at Oishi made him addicted to the scare! Imabayashi tried to scare him with the point but missed and hit Dieno by accident. Takechi did one of his own but hit Yukinori Matsui. This kept going on until everyone else fainted. Imabayashi and Takechi finally hit each other at the same time but Takechi was the only one to survive it. He slumped into KANON’s arms and told him he was going to sleep for a while. KANON screamed in panic and the room turned into darkness… The lights then came back on and everybody lined up in the ring to bow to the audience.
According to Daisuke Sasaki his tag partner today Mikiya Sasaki is actually his long lost twin brother. That means they are the Super Sasaki Brothers! The brotherly love disappeared late into the match when Daisuke complained about having to wear green while Mikiya got to wear red and blue. They started fighting each other which helped lead them into losing their match against The 37KAMIINA.
After the match Honda came down to the ring to reveal his tag partner against Sasaki & DOUKI at Sumo Hall on 11th August. It’s going to be Tetsuya Endo and he is here right now! Endo couldn’t believe what he is seeing from Sasaki. This isn’t the Daisuke Sasaki he knew from DAMNATION so at Sumo Hall Endo is going to expose Sasaki’s true colours! Sasaki taked back, saying nobody here knows who Endo is because he’s wrestling on a green canvas and couldn’t even win a crappy GHC Championship. Honda then stepped in to explain he chose Endo because it will make the match more exciting. It will also be nostalgic because it will be the first time in a decade that Endo & Honda are teaming up together.
The contract signing with Fandora and paleyouth that was mentioned earlier also involved the KO-D Tag Team Titles match taking place on 26th July. paleyouth were present by the time this contract was signed so no extra stipulation was made for it. Neither HARASHIMA nor Chris Brookes are that worried by their opponents. Brookes even had Honda speak about the match on his behalf. Takeshi Masada spoke about how much winning the KO-D Tag Titles would mean for both himself and Yuya Koroku. The two of them are confident they will become double champions and after today they are halfway towards achieving that goal.

More spotlight on The 37KAMIINA versus Strange Love Connection to build up the KO-D Openweight Title match at Sumo Hall.
So Yuki Ishida is trying to tell anyone who will listen to him that he wants to change. A slightly different hairstyle didn’t work for him or grab much attention so now he thinks challenging for the DDT Extreme Title is the answer he’s looking for. Hideki Okatani didn’t think he is a worthy challenger until Ishida offered to put his hair on the line as well. Since he is a former sumo wrestler and the treatment of their hair is serious business, Okatani now has something of value he wants to take from Ishida.
When I saw that Minoru Suzuki & Jun Akiyama are teaming up together I began to worry for their opponents. Then I saw the opponents are Danshoku Dieno & Sanshiro Takagi so I now worry for everyone in general.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs MAO
The card is starting to fill up. Yuki Ueno and MAO will be in the KO-D Title match in Sumo Hall again for the second time in the hopes of carrying DDT on the ultimate path towards the Tokyo Dome. There are also some inter-promotional bouts to look forward to with Kazuma Sumi defending the DDT Universal Title against Ryusuke Taguchi in a continuation of the DDT Vs New Japan rivalry. There is still some friendliness between the two companies because Daisuke Sasaki has picked DOUKI to be his tag partner for the mystery match against Antonio Honda and whoever he is going to pick (the popular guess online so far seems to be YOH). Dragon Gate is also taking part in the fun by sending YAMATO over for a match. Unfortunately for him he’s getting Danshoku Dieno as his opponent.

2ab. Masami Inahata submitted Kazuki Hirata with a Crab Hold (0:43).
2a3. Rukiya submitted Kazuki Hirata with an Anal Hand Camel Clutch (8:05).
3. STRANGE LOVE CONNECTION Vs The 37KAMIINA!: KANON & Yuki Iino (w/ KIMIHIRO & YUZUKI) defeated Shunma Katsumata & To-y when Iino pinned To-y with a Lariat (7:49).
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: KIMIHIRO defeated Shunma Katsumata (c) by Submission (12:24 pm).
*KIMIHIRO becomes the 1,836th champion.
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato defeated Kazuma Sumi, Yuni & Kumadori when Sato pinned Yuni with a Rolling Elbow Butt (9:44).
5. No Referee Match: MAO defeated Sanshiro Takagi with the Cannonball 450° through the Plastic Case (12:31).
6. FANTÔMES DRAMATIC Vs DAMNATION T.A!: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul & Ilusion defeated Chris Brookes, HARASHIMA, Antonio Honda & Hinata Kasai when Sasaki submitted Kasai with the Crossface Lock (10:24).
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuki Ueno (c) defeated Shinya Aoki with the Sleeper Hold (21:48).
*V8 for Yuki Ueno.

There was no repeat from what happened back in 2024. This time Yuki Ueno was able to put Shinya Aoki away and remain the KO-D Openweight Champion. It was a complete swap of results from two years ago as this time Ueno was able to make Aoki submit instead of the other way around. He had to go that direction because Aoki avoided the WR and used the Aoki Clutch to try and win. Ueno kicked out of the move and got to use his finisher except Aoki still had enough movement left in him to avoid getting pinned. Ueno had to instead stick Aoki in a grounded Sleeper Hold and make him tap out to finally win. After the match Ueno thanked Aoki for becoming part of the DDT family and said how much he respects him from the bottom of his heart.

There is still some time to go until “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2026” takes place in Sumo Hall on 11th August. It’s enough time for a surprise title defence or two to happen before then but Ueno was given the nod by Hisaya Imabayashi to choose his Ryogoku challenger. Ueno brought up his goal to bring DDT to the Tokyo Dome and in order to do that he feels he must come up with a match that can sell out Sumo Hall first. The opponent he wants to fight in front of a packed Sumo Hall is MAO! This will also be a title rematch from 2024 in the same building. MAO calls himself a realist because he wonders if he can really make it to the Tokyo Dome. He thinks he can because he has become stronger that he was two years ago and is carrying none of the burdans from back then. He accepts the challenge to determine who will win between DDT’s Prince and DDT’s square shaped devil!

The 8-Man Tag between FANTÔMES DRAMATIC and DAMNATION T.A was a little preview for the mystery tag match at Sumo Hall that Daisuke Sasaki and Antonio Honda are both involved with. It was also an opportunity for Hinata Kasai to earn his first win. His partners helped out by weakening Sasaki using Chris Brookes’s Penalty Kick, HARASHIMA’s Swan Dive Body Press and Honda’s Fist Drop. Kasai then applied the STF for the finish but Sasaki got out of it by biting Kasai’s hand. After that MJ Paul hit Kasai with a chairshot from ringside and Hideki Okatani followed it up with the Claymore Kick. Ilusion wiped out the other Fandora wrestlers with a Trust Fall dive out of the ring while Sasaki made Kasai give up to the Crossface Lock.

Sasaki then had an announcement to make after the match. Both he and Honda need to find their own tag partners for their Sumo Hall match. Sasaki revealed he has found a suitable partner and played a video of him recruiting DOUKI from New Japan! The addition of the House Of Torture wrestler had Honda beginning to worry about the match. He told Sasaki when it will be time for him to reveal his tag partner, Sasaki’s going to act like it is an unfair choice too. Backstage Sasaki said he’s known DOUKI going back to before he was even DOUKI. Sasaki also recently just came back from Thailand where he claimed to have learned Muay Thai during his stay so he thinks he will take Honda down in seconds.

No referee? No problem! It was up to the audience to count the pinfall during the grudge match between MAO and Sanshiro Takagi. Not even the most stringent wrestling official could get in the way of MAO and Takagi’s crazy ideas for the match. Takagi made his entrance through the Korakuen Hall seating only to get run over by MAO riding the Dramatic Dream bike. He then crashed a scooter into Takagi along with a cart with KIMIHIRO sitting on it at ringside. Takagi fought back by bringing a toilet into the ring so he could DDT MAO into it. The fans were aided with on-screen instructions to count either fast or slow much to the wrestlers’ chagrin. The fan count would only register when it was determined the majority of them reached to three. MAO then played mind games by showing video footage of him running over Takagi in different vehicles over the past six years. The trauma effected Takagi so much that when MAO pulled out a small remote control van it caused Takagi more mental damage. Takagi was able to fight back using Stunners but the crowd only made it to a collective 2.9 before MAO kicked out. MAO got his own nearfall using the Michinoku Driver II so he placed a plastic box on top of his opponent and hit the Cannonball 450° through it for the three count. He then added insult to injury by driving the toy van into Takagi’s beaten body. With this win, MAO now considers himself to be Takagi’s successor so he encourages everyone else to DDT to become as crazy as he is and carry the weight of DDT with pride!

Kazuma Sumi came back from his eye injury with something in particular being stuck in his mind. But first he had a 6-Man Tag Match against paleyouth to get through. He got to show he didn’t lose a step in his brief absence by going toe to toe with Takeshi Masada. His partners Yuni & Kumadori pulled off some big dives late in the match. But when it came down to Yuni, he became overwhelmed by Yuya Koroku and then Daichi Sato who put him away with a Rolling Elbow.

After the match Sumi talked about how frustrating it was he had to miss the recent DDT Vs New Japan show due to his injury. He was annoyed in particular by seeing the NJPW young lion Tatsuya Matsumoto beat Hinata Kasai. Sumi can’t stand seeing DDT lose to NJPW like this so he made a demand to defend his DDT Universal Title against a wrestler from New Japan. Suddenly the lights in the room went out and when they switched back on, Ryusuke Taguchi was standing right behind Sumi! Akito was there too in his CyberFight Director form to announce he just so happened to have already booked Taguchi for Sumo Hall so Sumi can give him a title shot on that show. Sumi said it is a dream for him to reach the top of the Junior Heavyweight scene and asked Taguchi if he could be his stepping stone? Taguchi responded that Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega have used him as such to help them spread their wings to the world so he will do his best to do the same for Sumi. However after they shook hands, Taguchi suddenly hit Sumi with the Hip Attack and warned him to be careful otherwise he will be used as a stepping stone by somebody else!

By wrestling back and forth between DDT and NOAH recently, Yuki Iino is developing a balancing act between his DDT form and his Jonetsu MAX form. The Iino that wrestled today isn’t quite the same persona as the one that just won the GHC Tag Team Titles. Still, he and KANON worked as a well oiled duo in order to beat Shunma Katsumata & To-y. Iino even pulled off his cap at the end to show everyone his Jonetsu double mohawk before pinning To-y with a Lariat.

With Strange Love Connection getting the victory, KIMIHRIO did a rap for Iino to reintroduce him to the fans. Iino didn’t quite get what he was doing while Katsumata also felt provoked by it. He felt so provoked that he suddenly started a rap battle against KIMIHIRO in the ring! Katsumata quickly realised the mistake he made and said he gave up. But as Katsumata left the ring, Yukinori Matsui took the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from him and handed it over to KIMIHIRO because KIMIHIRO just technically beat the champion by submission! Katsumata tried to take the belt back but the rest of SLC were there to stop him and make sure KIMIHIRO would leave the show as the new champ.

Rules had to be changed for Match #2 thanks to Kazuki Hirata. He ended up fighting the other team all on his own and quickly lost the match before Minoru Suzuki or Danshoku Dieno could even make their entrance. Imabayashi decided to restart the match with the added rule that Hirata could only lose the match if he gets beaten three times. Jun Akiyama immediately pinned Hirata before Dieno made it to the ring. Masami Inahata then made Hirata tap out before Suzuki’s music even hit. Inahata almost did it again but Suzuki got there in time to physically stop Hirata from tapping out. The match went on as normal from there. Except the normality went away when Rukiya rubbed his hands against Dieno’s bare backside and then grabbed Hirata in a Camel Clutch to make him give up and lose the match for good.

Today was Soma Takao’s first match since January. He’s been on the shelf since then dealing with an old knee injury and used his comeback to show off a new ring costume to go along with his trusty Dropkick Bar shirt. Yuki Ishida also had something new to show with a slightly changed hairstyle but nobody really noticed his attempt at changing himself into something new. He still played his part at keeping Naomi Yoshimura away so Yukio Naya could play spoiler and end Takao’s comeback match with a loss. Takao said he was happy to be in the ring with other members of the Dropkick Bar and also wrestle in front of the newer DDT fans who may never seen any of his matches before.

DDT welcomed back Miles Karu for another appearance during his excursion to Japan. He brought along his MYPW Southeast Asia Title to the ring for his pre-show match teaming with Akito. Does this mean Junta Miyawaki can now lay claim for a title shot because he & Viento Levante won the match when Miyawaki pinned Karu with the Sunshine Driver.

Another special guest from another wrestling promotion will appear at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2026” this August. YAMATO from Dragon Gate attended the show so he could step into the DDT ring for the first time (not counting the “DRAMATIC DREAM GATE” joint show from 2012). He was relieved to find out the DDT fans know who he is and he wants to be given a suitable opponent comparable to his stature as a wrestler who built an era in his own company. Guess what? His opponent is going to be Danshoku Dieno. YAMATO argued the match is happening ten years too late because nobody wants to see two old men like them getting it on. The DDT fans disagree and started chanting for the match to happen. YAMATO reluctantly accepted the challenge but warned Dieno his Danshoku tactics won’t work on him.

Even though the KO-D Title match is now set for Sumo Hall, it may not be Ueno going into it as champion. The Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlets are back for another year! There will be only two Gauntlets this time and possessing one will give the holder a KO-D Title shot whenever they want from the period between 15th July to 27th September. The matches to determine the holders will take place at the Beer Garden shows taking place on 15th and 16th July.

Shinjuku FACE
1. Invisible Man Rumble: Kazuki Hirata Vs Lengendary Invisible Man Fighters
2. Special 8-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, Shinya Aoki, To-y & Kaisei Takechi Vs KANON, Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya & Viento Levante (w/ KIMIHIRO & YUZUKI)
3. Summer Fun KING OF DRUNK 2026: Daisuke Sasaki Vs Kazuma Sumi Vs Chris Brookes Vs MAO Vs Shunma Katsumata
Last Year’s KING OF DRUNK winner Daisuke Sasaki is ready to defend his crown.
What’s a big attraction like Kaisei Takechi doing at the Beer Garden? Would THE RAMPAGE allow him to have a few drinks if he wishes to have some?
Come see the Invisible Man Rumble… except you can’t… because most of the entries are invisible… We’re starting to enter the territory where this could be mistaken for a Mystery Wrestling show instead of a DDT show.
Kumadori will be on the first day of Beer Garden but he hasn’t been announced for the second day yet.
DDT “FIGHTING BEER GARDEN 2026 IN SHINJUKU 【FINAL COUNTDOWN 2】”, 16/07/2026
Shinjuku FACE
1. Special Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Mikiya Sasaki Vs Shunma Katsumata & To-y
2. Blindfold Nipple Covered 4 Way Death Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Kazuki Hirata Vs Junta Miyawaki Vs Masami Inahata

*Kaidan Reading Artist: Hisaya Imabayashi
4. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato (c) Vs Chris Brookes, HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda
Takechi gets to experience the annual ghost story from Hisaya Imabayashi too! Junta Miyawaki also gets to experience more DDT-ness by taking part in his first Blindfold match. Maybe this time everyone else will want to drink along with him.
I have a suspicion that Mikiya Sasaki is going to impersonate Daisuke Sasaki instead of doing his usual Dory Funk Jr. tribute. Or how about Daisuke shows up thinking he’s Terry Funk?
DDT “YUKI UENO 10TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW -IN MY MIND “10”-”, 13/09/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
1. Special Tag Match: MAO & Yoshihiko Vs Kazuki Hirata & Kaisei Takechi
2. Yuki Ueno 10th Anniversary Match ~ Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Shunma Katsumata
A promise was made by Yuki Ueno to have Kazuki Hirata & Kaisei Takechi team up together for his show. He just needed to find the right opponents for them. MAO fits the bill just fine as one half of the opposition. As for the other? Takechi prepare to meet your match in the form of Yoshihiko!

DDT “S.L.C. VS DHAOS ALL-OUT SHOWDOWN”, 21/06/2026
Aichi Chunichi Hall & Conference
0 Fans
1. 1st Floor: Danshoku Dieno defeated MAO with a Lariat (8:33).
2. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – 2nd Floor: Kazuki Hirata (c) defeated Yukio Naya with a One-Winged Angel (7:58).
*V? for Kazuki Hirata.
3. 3rd Floor: KANON defeated Antonio Honda with the Spinning Reverse Anal Gongitsune (7:02).
4. 4th Floor: Yuki Iino defeated Toru Owashi with a Dragonrana (2:15).
5. 5th Floor: Super Sasadango Machine Vs Viento Levante ended in a Time Limit Draw (30:00).
I don’t know what happened here but the group of wrestlers facing Strange Love Connection in the 10-Man Tag Match today had formed their own group called DHAOS. The two sides then had a series of matches before the show that took place all over the building, one match on every floor. None of the matches were filmed but DDT tweeted out the results and some photos but with little context added to them. The joke is a bunch of crazy things happened during these matches inside rooms and hallways that are hardly big enough to fit three people inside them. The series ended in a tie with each team winning twice and the final bout ending in a time limit draw so everyone agreed to use the 10-Man Tag Match happening later as the decider. However there was now an added stipulation of Mask Contra Mask. Whichever team lost meant either Super Sasadango Machine or Viento Levante would have to unmask as punishment!
Also before today’s show, Kazuki Hirata broke into Danshoku Dieno’s locker room in search of Dieno’s wrestling gear. He found the pair of Danshoku Dieno’s Tights that won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title yesterday and pinned it in the room to win back the belt. Dieno then caught Hirata trespassing while he was getting out of the shower but Hirata escaped with the belt.

4. S.L.C. Vs DHAOS All-Out Showdown ~ 6th Floor – Final Showdown: MAO, KANON, Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya & Viento Levante defeated Toru Owashi, Danshoku Dieno, Super Sasadango Machine, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda when Levante pinned Sasadango with the Running Diving Headbutt (8:55).
5. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato (c) defeated Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & Ilusion when Masada pinned Ilusion after The Roar For Tomorrow Created By Me And Yuya (13:51).
*V5 for paleyouth.
6. DDT Extreme Title – Hardcore I Quit Match: Hideki Okatani (c) defeated Junta Miyawaki when Miyawaki said “I Quit” (16:20).
*V2 for Hideki Okatani.
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Chris Brookes & HARASHIMA (c) defeated Yuki Ueno & To-y when HARASHIMA pinned To-y with the Swan Dive Somato (18:52).
*V2 for FANTÔMES DRAMATIC.
What a false prophet this “Prince Of Nagoya” turned out to be. After spending weeks claiming to be from a future where he won the KO-D Tag Team Titles on today’s show, To-y wasn’t able to live up to his word. He and Yuki Ueno almost had Chris Brookes beaten when they gave him the My MADMAX but HARASHIMA broke up the count. Ueno was there to save To-y by the skin of his teeth when he broke up a pinfall after HARASHIMA hit the Somato. But Brookes made sure Ueno couldn’t do it again and HARASHIMA landed the Swan Dive Somato onto To-y for the successful title defence. There is something nice that To-u got out of the match. Since Brookes is a “Baka Gaijin”, he admitted that whenever he calls To-y an idiot he means it as a compliment. He encourages To-y to keep up with that foolish spirit of his.
HARASHIMA called out for any team to come challenge him and Brookes next. Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku from paleyouth answered him and said they are greedy enough to add KO-D Tag Titles to the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles they retained earlier in the show. Brookes suggested that Masada & Daichi Sato are the better pairing but HARASHIMA accepted Koroku’s challenge. Antonio Honda then got into the ring demanding that paleyouth give FANTÔMES DRAMATIC another shot at the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles to make it a fair deal between the two groups. Sato agreed and Akito as the acting GM for the day got to book both title matches. The KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles match will happen first on 16th July. Then the KO-D Tag Titles match will take place on 26th July.
The pressure and mounting odds got to Junta Miyawaki and he was made to say “I Quit” by Hideki Okatani. It was a Hardcore I Quit Match so the two attacked each other with chairs and keyboards. Miyawaki had to fight off the other members of DAMNATION T.A and was able to put Okatani through a table. Okatani wouldn’t quit though and used an exposed turnbuckle to add more damage to his Skewer-Style Claymore finisher. From there did a chair assisted Diving Foot Stomp onto Miyawaki’s legs, used the loose tag ropes to tie Miyawaki’s hands behind his back and then beat him over and over with table scraps and the bamboo sword until Miyawaki said “You Win” out loud.
After the match Okatani told Miyawaki this is what being extreme is like and it must have been the most exciting day in his life. He will never win the DDT Extreme Title but Okatani respects Miyawaki for being willing to step into the ring with the intention of changing something inside of him. Daisuke Sasaki then grabbed the microphone off Okatani because he had an announcement to make. Okatani will be defending the Extreme Title at “CHARISMANIA IV” on 2nd July and his opponent has already been chosen by Sasaki. It will be Yuko Miyamoto! Okatani suddenly remembered one time when Miyamoto threw him into a pond at Ueno Park so he promises to get revenge on him for that. Sasaki had another announcement to make later backstage. He will be revealing his tag team partner for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2026” on 28th June.
paleyouth are now just one win away from tying the record for most successful KO-D 6-Man Tag Title defences in a single reign. They all recovered from yesterday’s DAMNATION T.A just to continue getting assaulted by Sasaki, MJ Paul & Ilusion. But when Ilusion decided to wrap the three title belts around him and climb up top to finish the match, Masada dodged the Swanton Bomb and joined forces with Koroku to unveil their new double team finisher called The Roar For Tomorrow Created By Me And Yuya. It is a German Suplex from Koroku that gets extra impact with the Manburi by Masada.
The 10-Man Tag Match was being taken a bit more seriously by SLC and DHAOS now that some masks were being put on the line. Levante successfully protected his by scoring the win over Sasadango. He then unmasked him after the match to reveal Sasadango is Muscle Sakai! The other members of DHAOS all turned on Sakai and banished him from the group as punishment for losing. They then attacked him until SLC chased them all off. After being rescued, Sakai/Sasadango was then offered a part time spot in SLC as a Nagoya only member. So he now gets to team with SLC but only when they have a match held in Nagoya.
Yuki Ishida spoke to DDT cameras at the end of the evening while deconstructing the ring with the rest of the crew. He said that the feeling of wanting to change and the feeling of needing to change are both growing stronger within him. He then kept repeating over and over that he is going to change…
