Next Generation Tournament ’26

The fourth annual Next Generation Tournament is open to the members of Tokyo Joshi Pro who have debuted in 2025 or 2026. That means the field is made up of four wrestlers: Ren Konatsu, Shion Kanzaki, Momo Sato and the yet to debut Chieri Sakimori. Just like last year it will be a Double Elimination tournament so wrestlers would have to lose two matches in order to be knocked out of the running. The schedule is laid out for a final to take place where one wrestler only needs to win once while their opponent would have to beat them twice.

We’re getting an International Championship match on the show after all, just not the International Princess Title. Instead it is the EVE International Title that will be on the line when Miyu Yamashita and Arisu Endo have their rematch from last year’s Tokyo Princess Cup. Just because Endo won last time doesn’t mean she believes she has now made it up to equal footing with Yamashita. Winning a championship off her sure would confirm it though.

The challenger for Shoko Nakajima has been found. It’s the return of Zara Zakher to Tokyo Joshi Pro! Her last appearance in TJPW was at the 2025 Las Vegas show during WrestleMania Weekend. Since then she had been signed to a WWE ID deal and according to TJPW that project was a reason why Zakher hasn’t come back to Japan until now. In the meantime she still had faint connections to TJPW in America thanks to Kitsune booking her in matches against Yamashita and Kamifuku. Now for her first match back in Japan she gets to challenge Nakajima for the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title.

Something I completely forgot when Go Nagai got involved with the marketing for this show is the man is responsible for creating the character of Jushin Liger in the first place! So since Nagai is part of the show, let’s have Liger get involved too. He’s been selected to be the referee for a match between Mizuki and Hyper Misao. Both wrestlers think they will benefit from Liger’s officiating, Mizuki because she claims to be a good girl and Misao because she claims to be a super hero.

The newest rookie in TJPW is Chieri Sakimori, the first person to debut after coming through TJPW’s wrestling camps that are held several times a month at their dojo. Sakimori is from Fukuoka and stands 154cm tall. She discovered TJPW from their collab show with OCHA NORMA last December and has a rhythmic gymnastics background from her elementary and junior high school years. She also currently runs a salon, working there as an eyelash artist.

There is expected to be one or two more matches added to the card before it gets finalized.

The day after Shinya Aoki’s fight in RIZIN happened, DDT wanted to capitalize on the attention he was getting by announcing his special opponent at Sumo Hall this November. It’s going to be Zack Sabre Jr.! They were able to face each other in a tag match back in May but this will be a first time singles match between the two.

2. Mizuki, Uta Takami & Mifu Ashida defeated Raku, Pom Harajuku & Chika Nanase when Mizuki pinned Nanase with the Diving Foot Stomp (9:02).
3. Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao defeated Wakana Uehara & Momo Sato when Nakajima pinned Sato with an Inside Cradle (8:10).
4. Yuki Kamifuku defeated Shino Suzuki with the Famouser (9:20).
5. Miu Watanabe, Rika Tatsumi & Toga defeated Yuki Aino, Haru Kazashiro & Ren Konatsu when Watanabe submitted Kazashiro with the Reverse Paradox (15:51).
6. Yuki Arai, Miyu Yamashita & Sakura Hattori defeated Suzume, Arisu Endo & Kira Summer when Yamashita pinned Summer with the Attitude Adjustment (17:27).

A fire has been lit up beneath Arisu Endo and it’s all because of Miyu Yamashita and the EVE International Title! She interrupted Yamashita’s victory speech after the main event to tell her she wants the two of them to be on equal footing. She’s beaten Yamashita the last time they had a singles match at last year’s Tokyo Princess Cup but that wasn’t enough to make her become her rival. So Endo now wants to win the EVE International Title from Yamashita in order to surpass her! Yamashita told Endo she is late because she’s had all these years to let her know how she feels. Just challenging her for the title isn’t enough to get on her level. Endo asserted herself and confirmed she will beat Yamashita and win the title from her. The two shook hands to confirm the match until Endo hit Yamashita with an Elbow Strike across the chin. Yamashita didn’t expect that and told her partners today is the first time she ever saw Endo have that look of determination on her face. The title match is set for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII” at 3rd October.

While all of this was going on, Yuki Arai came to the conclusion that her current level isn’t good enough yet to beat Suzume based on how Suzume’s been wrestling against her lately. Watching Endo stand up to Yamashita right in front of her made Arai think she cannot afford to lose against wrestlers from her own generation. Sakura Hattori almost feels left out because the match announced for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII” with her and Kira Summer in it has nothing at stake. However she made a guarantee to the fans that her match will not only be entertaining but also so intense it will make their eyes water! Backstage Endo admitted she doesn’t know much about EVE the British wrestling promotion or what value Yamashita’s championship has over there. She just thought the belt looked so cool when Yamashita came back to Japan with it. But if she wins the title she will go defend it in the UK even if she has to travel there by herself. She also denies ever hitting Yamashita with an Elbow Strike after the match.

Today felt like a breeze for Daydream. They were victorious over Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed in a 6-Woman Tag and know what to expect of their next challengers. They are well aware of what Yuki Aino brings to the table and Miu Watanabe felt Haru Kazashiro fought within her expectations. She noticed how dejected she looked after losing the match though and wants Kazashiro to step up for the Princess Tag Team Titles match next month. Rika Tatsumi agreed and thinks the only way Prism Greed can beat them is if they fight with a burning and fierce intensity. They need to stir up a storm instead of a breeze!

Shino Suzuki altered her tour guide spot for Yuki Kamifuku during their match. When she pointed over to her spot, she said it was the bright future of Kamiyu who is racing towards retirement while staying beautiful to the very end.

We are a few days away until “HYPE! 4” and Hyper Misao did something very rash. She had already completed her draft for the script but decided to wipe it clean and start again from scratch! She brought her laptop to the ring so she would type out her new script and left Shoko Nakajima to wrestle Wakana Uehara & Momo Sato by herself. Luckily for Nakajima, Misao finished her new draft midway through the match and got back to the ring to even the odds. The rookie Sato got the upper hand and gave Misao a Body Slam only for the pin to not count because Misao was not tagged in. Nakajima then rolled up Sato from behind for the three count, giving Kyoraku Kyomei the victory.

It was announced earlier in the day that Mizuki and Hyper Misao will face each other at “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII” in a match that has Jushin Liger as the special guest referee! Misao is especially excited about it because she is also a masked wrestler with a cape like Liger is. She claims to always fight fair and square so she has high hopes that Liger’s officiating will meet her standards. Mizuki was baffled by the idea at first but has come around to thinking that Liger’s officiating will work out in her favor in the end. After all, she’s such a good girl while Misao is a villainous hero.

A brand new wrestlers will make her debut on “WRESTLE PRINCESS VII”. Chieri Sakimori is from Fukuoka and she discovered Tokyo Joshi Pro from attending the OCHA NORMA collab show that took place last December. She then took part in TJPW’s Women’s Pro Wrestling Camp that runs in their dojo several times a month and made the decision to become a pro wrestler.
