1. Kakeru Sekiguchi & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Kira Summer & Chika Nanase when Kiryu pinned Nanase with the Spinebuster (11:25).
2. Mifu Ashida defeated Papillon Akemi with the German Suplex (12:34).
3. Mei Suruga defeated Ren Konatsu with the Gâteau Invisible (11:08).
4. Arisu Endo & Haru Kazashiro defeated Rika Tatsumi & Shion Kanzaki when Endo pinned Kanzaki with the Ju no Okite (18:32).

While the majority of the Tokyo Joshi Pro roster went over to America, those who remained in Japan held their own show, the next edition of the “TJPW INSPIRATION” series of shorter wrestling events that are a little bit different than usual. In the main event Rika Tatsumi took a break to go get food for herself & Shion Kanzaki. They also force fed their opponents with the food. Arisu Endo & Haru Kazashiro launched a successful comeback with Kazashiro diving onto the other team and Endo then finishing off Kanzaki with the Ju no Okite. After the match, Kazashiro sent out a message of thanks to Suzume for successfully defending the International Princess Title in America. She owes so much of her career to Suzume which is why she wanted her to be the champion for her 4th May title shot. Endo then announced that she wants to be the next person to challenge Yuki Arai for the Princess Of Princess Title! She actually called Arai backstage after the show to challenge her directly after figuring out it was 10pm over in Las Vegas so she should still be awake. Arai answered the call, confirmed she watched the show on Wrestle Universe and accepted Arai’s challenge!

Last year Mei Suruga and Ren Konatsu got to wrestle each other in a tag match at “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” but today was their first singles match against each other. Suruga refused to shake Konatsu’s hand before the match and then got into a pose-off to see who is cuter. She then clipped off the toy sheep from Konatsu’s belt to taunt her further. Konatsu tried to fight back but missed the Aries Comet, allowing Suruga to trap her in the Gâteau Invisible and make her tap out. Suruga said she had so much fun today and was bursting with motivation because whenever the TJPW roster travels overseas, it feels like Japan is left entrusted to wrestlers like herself. She thinks Konatsu has a lot of room for growth so she hopes they can wrestle each other more and more. She is also excited to form “The Ultimate Sister Trio” of herself, Mizuki & Uta Takami at the 4th May Korakuen Hall show. Konatsu said she aimed to bite the “big apple” right down to her core but instead it was herself who was eaten alive today.

Mifu Ashida’s cheerleading talents convinced Papillon Akemi to give it a go during their match. It eventually became a distraction so they went back to wrestling each other. Akemi lost focus and became vulnerable to Ashida doing the German Suplex to get the victory.

Twin magic prevailed in the opener! Kakeru Sekiguchi & Mahiro Kiryu kept finding ways to use their similar likenesses in order to confuse Kira Summer & Chika Nanase into forgetting who was who. Not every plan worked but the confusion led to Nanase accidentally knocking down Summer with a missed attack. Sekiguchi then sent Nanase into Kiryu’s way for the Spinebuster to end the match.

There is also expected to be a Princess Tag Team Titles match between The IInspiration and Daydream on this show but it has not been officially announced yet. Miu Watanabe set it up in Vegas by telling The IInspiration that Rika Tatsumi would like to meet them.

Yasu Urano has been feeling ambitious lately. After holding two of his own shows last year built around multiple fall matches, he decided to hold a one day Iron Man round robin tournament. The theme was to include two wrestlers aged in their 50’s, two in their 30’s and one in his 20’s so the lineup became Urano (who had just turned 50 earlier this month), Ikuto Hidaka, Fuminori Abe, Ayato Yoshida and Ilusion. Every match in the round robin was a 10 minute Iron Man match with every winning fall scoring one point. At the end of tournament all of the match results were added up and the wrestler with the highest total score was the winner.

At the end of the round robin there was a three way tie for first place. Urano, Abe and Ilusion had all scored 4 falls in their matches while Hidaka and Yoshida were left with regret over ending the tournament in a 0-0 draw that put both of them out of the running. The ring announcer Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi revealed that a sudden death 3 Way Match would decided the winner of the tournament. With many three way spots and pin attempts tiring everybody out, Abe inadvertantly knocked out Ilusion with a Rabbit Punch aimed for Urano. That ended up working in Abe’s favour though because when he caught Urano in the Manjigatame, Ilusion wasn’t there to break the hold and Abe was free to turn it into a pinfall on Urano to be crowned the tournament winner.

Each match will have a ten minute time limit. As best as I can tell, the winner of the one night round robin will be whoever has the highest score of total falls in all of their Iron Man matches combined. Given the show consists of ten Iron Man Matches that sounds like a nightmare to keep track of for one night.

The first two “URANO EN” events that Yasu Urano put together took place last year and were both Iron Man matches with Ikuto Hidaka and Akito respectively. The matches are on Minoru Fujita’s Youtube channel under the Live archive tab. I don’t think I’m going to follow this regularly unless BASARA continues to help promote it.

Over in New Japan recently Yota Tsuji ruffled some feathers by criticizing the company’s owners Bushiroad for treating the wrestlers as nothing more than just content for trading card and gacha games. Well Super Sasadango Machine wishes CyberAgent would be that way for the likes of him and Danshoku Dieno! They need to make a convincing argument so they’ve challenged MAO & KANON for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. If they win the belts they hope it will raise their power within DDT to start making some business demands and turn the company towards the TGC and gacha industries.

This year’s D GENERATIONS CUP winner Kazuma Sumi has earned himself a DDT Universal Title shot. Daisuke Sasaki congratulated him with a kick to the balls. Sounds like something he would do.

It’s not Magnum TOKYO but we’re one step away from it. Kazuki Hirata is getting John Robinson, the DJ behind “TOKYO GO!” to perform the song live for his entrance!

Shunma Katsumata wants MAO to be his first opponent for his big return match. It’s a match MAO has wanted too because one of the reasons he left The 37KAMIINA was to become Katsumata’s opponent rather than his teammate.

His match hasn’t been announced yet but DDT’s newest signing Masami Inahata will debut on this show.

Sumi being in the final rips apart my theory that he is the new member of Strange Love Connection.

Ryoma Tsukamoto makes an unexpected appearance to fill in for Daichi Sato.

Urano chose that lineup because he wanted two wrestlers in their 50s, two in their 30s and one in his 20s. But here’s the catch. Every match is an Iron Man match, ten in total!

Note: The results and attendance number was given to me by SETUP Thailand Pro Wrestling themselves.

After a long time of planning, SETUP was able to land in Tokyo to hold their very first full show in Japan. Through their working relationships with several wrestlers and promotions (they took over the IWA Japan lineage after Tatsukuni Asano passed away last year, hence IWA Thailand now existing) they put together a card inside TOKYO SQUARE In Itabashi and were able to draw in quite a big crowd to it. DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro had some presence on the shows and while I normally would have saved this for the next DDT Around The World article at the end of the month, some timely news coming out of the show means it is best for me to post it now.

DDT was represented in the first of two main events on the show. HARASHIMA was called in to face SETUP’s top wrestler Shivam in an Ace Vs Ace showdown. He was able to keep on his toes by relying on the Somato to cut off Shivam’s momentum. He hit the move out of nowhere after taking a Sit Down Power Bomb and then used it a few more times on route to victory.

TJPW were involved in two matches on the day with high risks leading to mixed results. The good news for TJPW fans is Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami are now champions together! The two of them won the IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Titles in a 3 Way Tag Match. Fighting them were the defending champions Real Global Threat and pestering nuisance that is the Kappa World Order. Given the environment, things got out of control and it ended up costing RGT their belts. Andruew Tang & Jake De Leon were on track to winning the match when a third Kappa at ringside grabbed and pulled them out of the ring. The TJPW team then took down the kWo, using a combo of the Skull Kick from Yamashita followed by the Sento Choryu from Toribami for the surprise title change.

The other 3 Way with a championship on the line didn’t go as well for Pom Harajuku. She was thrown into a Bangkok Death Match against Matcha and Ram Kaichow with the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title on the line. It was a chance for Harajuku to take the belt from Matcha for a second time in their career but this time things went differently. Some of the Bangkok themed moments in the match included the women playing Kra-dòht yan with a rope until Kaichow snipped it in half with scissors, Harajuku wearing muay thai cosplay and everyone hitting each other with metal trays. Harajuku’s muay thai cosplay dragged Thanomsak Toba into the match where he ended up putting a glove on at ringside and knocked out both Matcha and Harajuku with punches. Matcha was able to recover and used the Saito Suplex to pin Harajuku back inside the ring for a successful title defence.

Now that Matcha got revenge on Harajuku and is gathering momentum on her side, she is now looking towards the distant future. TJPW will be coming to Thailand for their own show on 13th December and Matcha will be a part of it. She wants to get a title match on that show but it won’t be her defending her own championship. She is challenging Miu Watanabe for the Princess Of Princess Title in Bangkok next month!

5. Double Main Event II – MOGMARINE Presents Kotaro Nasu 15th Anniversary Celebration Match: Daichi Hashimoto defeated Kotaro Nasu with the Rising DDT (21:06).

Both Kotaro Nasu and FUMA are celebrating 15 years in pro wrestling this year so the two of them decided to work together for an anniversary show celebrating their respective careers. They tried their best to gather “classmates” from their generation alongside the seniors who looked after them to fill up the card. It led to a double main event where FUMA lost to Super Tiger while Nasu was pinned by Daichi Hashimoto.

The TAMURA☆GENE☆ versus Cherry match was held under HEAT-UP Senior rules given the age of the wrestlers involved. The first wrestler to score a 15-Count Pinfall wins the match but they could also lose the match by either using a rope break three times. Punching and kicking was also prohibited under punishment of getting a butt slap every time. If a wrestler broke that rule three times they would be disqualified.

The wrestling ring situated inside TOKYO SQUARE In Itabashi became a concert stage for a day thanks to the Garafes idol festival being held there for the first time. The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) were one of the musical acts involved and later they along with other Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestlers put together a wrestling match. They even assisted with installing the ring ropes and turnbuckles and also taking them down after the match.

It’s soon time for another day at the boat races. Ganbare☆Pro will be hosting matches throughout the day in between the races with some guests and other wrestlers making first time appearances. Minoru Suzuki and Kyoko Inoue are the big names to draw in spectators.

This is probably just a mistranslation on GanPro’s end but I’m confused over one of the wrestlers appearing in Match #3. On the promotional material it looks like Jake Braddock, an American independent wrestler who has been based in Japan for the last couple of years. However GanPro are calling him Jack Bulldog on the match image and have his name written as ジェイク・ブルドック instead of ジェーク・ブラドック. DDT decided the next champions will be crowned on 28th September. Hideki Okatani & Ilusion get the chance to reclaim the belts with MJ Paul filling in for the injured Sasaki. Their oppoenents will be Yuki Ueno & To-y along with the anticipated return of Kaisei Takechi! This will be the first title match for DDT’s new star as he continues his alliance with The 37KAMIINA.
