Match #4 is going to be changed because of Inahata’s injury. That match will also be the Japanese debut of Miles Karu in DDT. He is a Malaysian wrestler who previously appeared in DDT on their “LOVE & PEACE” show that was held in his country last November.

As part of Junta Miyawaki’s journey through DDT he wants to try and win the championship that bests represents DDT as a one of a kind company. That means he is going after the DDT Extreme Title. He also now has to prove to Hideki Okatani that he wants to be here and he wasn’t kicked out of NOAH.

A tough title defence for Touchable continued to be a dangerous situation even after they won the match. Shinichiro Tominaga stopped Minoru Suzuki from giving Yumehito Imanari the Gotch-Style Piledriver. That led to Imanari giving Shuichiro Katsumura a Reverse Tiger Driver followed by two Lariats for the victory. Suzuki was so mad over what happened he started attacking the ringside seconds as well as the referee after the match! When he eventually calmed down he admitted that for being a “shitty indie”, Ganbare☆Pro does have some interesting people hanging around. He’ll come back and next time instead of using a chair he promises to hit people with a table! Touchable feel proud with their win today. They didn’t get to beat Suzuki directly but they were able to win against him as a team. Until they get to fight him again they will focus on defending the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles against other challengers.

Akira Shoji is getting used to competing in pro wrestling matches and wants to do even more exciting things taking this direction. He hopes to one day put together a homecoming show in Toyama.

Takuya Wada was unable to appear on the show today. Yuki Kanzaki replaced him in Match #2.

Last minute changes to the card are happening because Ren Konatsu is feeling unwell and won’t be able to wrestle on the show. Only one of the two debuts planned for Ittenyon is now going ahead. The trainee Shion has taken on the name Shion Kanzaki for her first match. She is from Chiba and was born on 11th February, 2001. She is 156cm tall and was part of her high school’s kendo club. After she graduated from school she formed a band with friends where she was on guitar and vocals. The band split up though and she took on a regular office job until decided to take on pro wrestling because she’s been a fan of it since she was a child.

The other trainee Anri has been pulled from the same match after it was decided she isn’t in the right condition yet to go through with her debut. Both Uta Takami and Ren Konatsu were part of the match too so maybe it can still go ahead as a tag bout with a last minute fill in. Is Ryo Mizunami busy that day?

3. Yumehito Imanari & Seiya Morohashi defeated Gota Ihashi & Jake Braddock when Imanari pinned Ihashi with the Lariat (9:22).
4. Tatsuhito Taikawa, Choun Shiryu & Tyson Maeguchi defeated Shinichiro Tominaga, PSYCHO & Takuya Wada when Taikawa pinned Tominaga with the Death Valley Bomb (8:03).

The matches were all held indoors for spectators to have somewhere to go to in between the boat races outside. Minoru Suzuki lost his temper in the main event after Munetatsu Nakamura provoked him. That led to Suzuki attacking him as well as Ken Ohka, his partner Shuichiro Katsumura and even the ringside second Sentaro Motoshima with chairs. Nakamura got close to beating Suzuki by giving him the Michinoku Driver II but Suzuki recovered and sent him down with the Gotch-Style Piledriver. Suzuki said afterwards that no matter where the ring is, he is the King Of Pro Wrestling and will handle it with ease. Katsumura tried to shake Suzuki’s hand while asking him to come back to Ganbare☆Pro but Suzuki felt provoked by that too. He asked if Katsumura wanted a fight and Katsumura said he does! However Suzuki decided to leave without saying if he will ever come back.

It’s soon time for another day at the boat races. Ganbare☆Pro will be hosting matches throughout the day in between the races with some guests and other wrestlers making first time appearances. Minoru Suzuki and Kyoko Inoue are the big names to draw in spectators.

This is probably just a mistranslation on GanPro’s end but I’m confused over one of the wrestlers appearing in Match #3. On the promotional material it looks like Jake Braddock, an American independent wrestler who has been based in Japan for the last couple of years. However GanPro are calling him Jack Bulldog on the match image and have his name written as ジェイク・ブルドック instead of ジェーク・ブラドック. The latter is what the other promotions who book him use (GanPro have also photoshopped his tattoos away). For the moment I’ll just treat it an inconsistent thing and continue writing the name Jake Braddock until this gets cleared up.

2. Yuki Kanzaki & Tyson Maeguchi defeated Mizuki Watase & Reiya Igarashi when Maeguchi pinned Igarashi with a Flying Knee Kick (11:04).
3. Kyoko Inoue & Moeka Haruhi defeated Yuna Manase & Ibuki Hoshi when Inoue pinned Hoshi with a Power Bomb (7:58).
4. The Great Sasuke & Munetatsu Nakamura defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Shota Kawakami when Nakamura pinned Kawakami with the Michinoku Driver II (8:03).
5. Yumehito Imanari, Keisuke Ishii & Tatsuhito Takaiwa defeated Shuichiro Katsumura, Takuya Wada & Choun-Shiryu when Imanari pinned Shiryu with the Lariat (13:19).

A wrestling ring was set up next to the boat race lake for Ganbare☆Pro to host a couple of matches in between the races. While none of the wrestlers were unlucky enough to take a dip in the water, the main event did spread out of the ring to take advantage of the surroundings. Also some of the wrestlers in Match #2 attacked each other with water guns.

Having The Great Sasuke as one of the guest wrestlers inspired Munetatsu Nakamura to use the Michinoku Driver II to win their tag match.

Ken Ohka & Mio Shirai had an uneasy time teaming up again for the first time in 13 years but they were able to find that chemistry again as the match went on. Shirai also got into a fight with YuuRI after the match to build up their tag bout on 1st June.

DAMNATION T.A have a chance to fill up half of the semi-finals if Daisuke Sasaki and Hideki Okatani both win their matches. HARASHIMA hardly broke a sweat in his 1st Round match though and Yuki Ueno is feeling pretty motivated to climb back to the top of DDT too. KANON is calling himself the “Yukio Naya Killer” because Naya has never beaten him in their previous singles matches. That also leaves Kazusada Higuchi and Takeshi Masada fighting each other over one of the remaining spots.

When Round 2 has been completed a lottery will be held to pair off the semi-final matches.

They had a regular spot where she would submit Ohka with a Headscissors and boy did writing about that in my show reports at the time result in some readers searching my site hoping to find similar fetish wrestling content. Suzume will earn her 4th defence if she wins this match and that’s about the level her kind of IP Title reign usually reaches.

Jada Stone is advertised for the show. Yesterday she vaguely tweeted “Sadly, All Good Things Must Come To An End…” along with a highlight video of herself. So she’s making it sound like she’s either about to call it quits or she just got signed somewhere.

The main event sees the two strongest TJPW wrestlers currently in Japan taking on the two youngest members of the roster. The youthful energy of Daisy Monkey will be pitted against the combination of years old wisdom plus earnestness found in Gabai Ji-chan & Mahiro Kiryu.

Plus Hasegawa gets two special matches with special guests involved. The main one is a tag match with against Tae Honma & Miyuki Takase bringing back memories of Actwres girl’z for the three of them. But also there will be a short exhibition match against Ai Shimizu, who has not wrestled since 2017. The two of them once starred in a wrestling themed play together back when they were both actresses and Shimizu was already gone from the wrestling business by the time Hasegawa debuted so they never got to be in the ring together. Hasegawa wanted it to happen so she came up with the idea to do an exhibition match and convinced Shimizu to do it.

The arrival of Astronauts is adding some freshness to the DDT cards. Fuminori Abe is going to face Keigo Nakamura in a preview of next month’s KO-D Tag Team Titles match. Also I bet a few people out there will be excited by the idea of Takuya Nomura and Jun Akiyama crossing paths even if it’s just in a tag match.

A change of plans for the Hanami KING OF DRUNK tournament. Takanashi’s injury reduces the Battle Royal down to eight wrestlers so it is now going to be the last two men standing who will qualify for the final. Also Chris Brookes is no longer taking part in it, presumably out of respect for Takanashi. Yuki Ueno is swapping places with him on the card instead.

The masked man from the seafood sponsorship is back! Shishamo Power will be in action.

He feels he has done everything he can do with the sauna club and has goals he knows he cannot reach if he stays where he is now. He teased having a crazy looking schedule for the next four months heading into the summer. The first piece of that story is today’s news that he is booked for a New Japan show at Korakuen Hall on 4th April along with Yuya Koroku. It is also notable that MAO is not taking part in this year’s King Of DDT tournament despite winning it last year. Could he finally be Best Of The Super Juniors bound?

It is now confirmed that Chris Brookes is the defending KO-D Openweight Champion taking on Yuya Koroku. They’re going to have better chances to hype up their match in the coming weeks.

Keigo Nakamura has a very strong tag partner in Shinya Aoki but he is reaching the point where he does not want to hopelessly rely on him. Instead he wants to use his own power to beat Astronauts for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

KANON will be returning from his brief absence ready to fight DAMNATION T.A all by himself. He has nothing left and doesn’t care if Daisuke Sasaki & Hideki Okatani trample all over him again.

Daichi Sato is officially welcomed into the DDT roster on this show. Jun Akiyama is the welcoming party.

All of Harimao will be reunited when Naomi Yoshimura comes back for his first match since November 2022.
