Yuki Iino for his final match as a DDT wrestler picks Yukio Naya for a final clash between The Apex. The cursed Danshoku Dieno Vs Daisuke Sasaki rematch at Sumo Hall that was meant to happen last year has finally been rescheduled to happen here. Yumehito Imanari can be just as much of a wild card as MAO when he wants to be.

DDT “UTAN FESTA 2026”, 08/11/2026
Tokyo JR Omori Station East Exit Plaza

1. World Omori Title Next Challenger Battle Royal: X Vs X
2. World Omori Title: Kazuki Hirata Vs Ilusion

The annual World Omori Title match was put on hold last year due to the champion Masahiro Takanashi suffering his awful injury. DDT instead created an interim title that was won by Kazuki Hirata in the hopes of someday doing a unification match. Unfortunately there’s no sign of that ever happening so the World Omori Title has become vacant. Hirata will now face the belt collector Ilusion in a match to crown the 10th official champion in the title’s history. Ilusion won the Battle Royal on last year’s “UTAN FESTA” show so he was already the No. 1 Contender.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW FALL TOUR 2026 RAY OF HOPE IN SENDAI”, 22/11/2026
Miyagi Yume Messe Miyagi

1. 3 Way Match: Yuki Arai Vs Yuki Aino Vs Yuki Kamifuku

Let’s try this again. Yuki Yuki Yuki were all meant to have a 3 Way Match against each other back in August but it got changed into them all teaming together after the lineup was jumbled around. Let’s see if Kamifuku, Yuki Arai and Yuki Aino get the match going this time.

DDT “BE AMBITIOUS 2026 ~LATE AUTUMN SHOWDOWN~”, 29/11/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. DDT Universal Title: Ryusuke Taguchi (c) Vs To-y

For the rest of this month Ryusuke Taguchi will be teaming up with Kazuma Sumi in the Super Jr. Tag League. The next time he appears in DDT will be at the end of November to defend the DDT Universal Title against To-y. The challenger wants to experience every crazy side Taguchi has to offer. Taguchi isn’t sure yet if he should be taking To-y seriously or if his crazy personality is just an act.

1. Takeshi Masada defeated Hinata Kasai with the Masada No Chikara KOBU Mukimuki (9:37)
2. Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & MJ Paul defeated Naomi Yoshimura, Yukio Naya & Rukiya when Paul pinned Rukiya with the Reverse Splash (9:27).
3. Omori World Title Next Challenger Battle Royal: Ilusion defeated Soma Takao by Ring Out (13:14).
Order Of Elimination: Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Toru Owashi, Yuki Iino, Demus and Soma Takao.
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, HARSHIMA & Chikara defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Akito & Yuki Ishida when HARASHIMA pinned Ishida with the Somato (9:55).
5. Interim World Omori Title: Kazuki Hirata defeated Antonio Honda with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (10:59).
*Kazuki Hirata becomes the Interim World Omori Champion.
6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, To-y & Yuya Koroku defeated MAO, KANON & Kazuma Sumi (w/ KIMIHIRO) when Ueno pinned Sumi with the Frog Splash (19:46).

Normally when DDT holds their annual outdoor “UTAN FESTA” shows there is a World Omori Title match to go with it. The current champion right now is Masahiro Takanashi but he is still out of action with his cervical injury. Rather than strip him of the title, DDT instead opted to crown an Interim World Omori Champion on this year’s show. Both Kazuki Hirata and Antonio Honda were joint No. 1 Contenders coming out of last year’s Battle Royal so they were now fighting each other over the Interim Title. Hirata came out on top and promised to spend an entire year as the undefeated Interim Champion. However the new No. 1 Contender Ilusion threated to take the belt next year and replace it with the World Akabane Title which he will be the champion of forever! Hirata promised that next year he will take off Ilusion’s mask and force him to become a resident of Omori!

Moeka Haruhi returns from her hiatus and she is immediately put in a random looking trio with Chika from Pro Wrestling Evolution and freelancer MASA☆TAKA. The match also has Kaori Yoneyama showing up on the other team.

DDT “BE AMBITIOUS ~AUTUMN BATTLE~”, 30/11/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

0. Dark Match: Akito, Daichi Sato & Yuya Koroku Vs Soma Takao, Rukiya & Hinata Kasai

4. DDT Extreme Title – Weapon Gamble Match: To-y (c) Vs Sanshiro Takagi
5. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & KANON (c) (w/ KIMIHIRO) Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Hideki Okatani
6. Special Single Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA Vs Shinya Aoki
7. KO-D Openweight Title & DDT Universal Title: Yuki Ueno (c/c) Vs Super Sasadango Machine

The full card for this month’s Korakuen Hall show includes the tag team F-SWAG making their first appearance in DDT together. Jun Masaoka & Gaia Hox have been the unit’s tag team over in NOAH here and there this year. Not sure if this means Yuya Susumu will be showing up as well since it would be a little odd of he’s the odd man out.

We also have the match for Danshoku Dieno’s return from his health problems. That last time we saw him in the ring he claimed to have all of the toxic juices removed from his body so is he still carrying that same “beautiful” attitude he was saving for Daisuke Sasaki before that match got called off?

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW X OCHA NORMA – OCHA PRO☆KORAKUEN”, 07/12/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Ochanor Mask Vs X

One person who unfortunately won’t be at next month’s TJPW collaboration with OCHA NORMA is Shoko Nakajima. “Unforeseen circumstances” have made her unable to attend the show. In her place TJPW have booked a masked wrestler from Mexico named Ochanor Mask to make her Japanese debut. There are claims that she is the master of the “Ocha Libre” wrestling style. Fans are wondering if she happens to know the Teotleco and Osita, the two luchadoras who recently appeared in Stardom all of a sudden as Dos Locas de Mexico.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “UTA TAKAMI TRIUMPHANT RETURN ~HYAKUMANGOKU SMILE IN KANAZAWA~”, 22/11/2025
Kanazawa Ryutsu Kaikan

6. Rika Tatsumi, Raku & Pom Harajuku Vs Hyper Misao, Mahiro Kiryu & Kaya Toribami
7. Miu Watanabe & Uta Takami Vs Shoko Nakajima & HIMAWARI

It’s still a big homecoming show for Uta Takami even if she couldn’t come back to Kanazawa with the International Princess Title. To make up for it, only she is allowed to get paper streamers thrown for her. Nobody else!

As things stand right now, Ren Konatsu is being given her best chance yet to earn her first singles victory. The match also gives Shino Suzuki a shot at getting a rare singles win which should help her bounce back from her recent failure to win the Princess Tag Team Titles.

Miyu Yamashita will not be at the show because she will be starting her next European tour that weekend.

DDT “SHOUT YOUR LOVE IN HAMA’S RING!”, 22/11/2025

Oh shit we’re getting a singles grudge match between KANON and Hideki Okatani! Their paths were forever changed when Okatani joined DAMNATION T.A to violently replace KANON in the group. If the bad blood between them is still active there might not be either of them left when the KO-D Tag Team Titles match comes around.

5. DDT Extreme Title – 5 Way Match: To-y (c) Vs Akito Vs Super Sasadango Machine Vs Kazuki Hirata Vs Antonio Honda
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles – Survival 3 Way Match: Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya (c) Vs MAO & KANON (w/ KIMIHIRO) Vs Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuu
7. Special Single Match: Daisuke Sasaki Vs Danshoku Dieno
8. Dramatic Dream Match: Zack Sabre Jr. Vs Chris Brookes
9. Special Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & Kaisei Takechi Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Takeshi Masada
10. KO-D Openweight Title & DDT Universal Title: Yuki Ueno (K/c) Vs Minoru Suzuki (U/c)

Just like that we have the entire lineup for Sumo Hall next month. Konosuke Takeshita wanted Kazusada Higuchi to be in his tag match so Kaisei Takechi asked for Takeshi Masada to be Higuchi’s tag partner. Danshoku Dieno is feeling like a new person after getting surgery but doesn’t understand that his match with Daisuke Sasaki is the rematch of an infamous Sumo Hall main event they had together back on 2018. The KO-D Tag Titles match doesn’t just have The Apex and Strange Love Connection involved. Team 200kg from Sendai Girls are included as well to make it a Survival 3 Way Match.

DDT “RYOGOKU AFTER ~IT’S A WONDERFUL BATTLE~”, 06/11/2025
Shinjuku FACE

1. Special Single Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA Vs Antonio Honda

Shortly after Sumo Hall, Takeshita is sticking around for a few more DDT dates. One of them is to have a singles match with Antonio Honda, his old pal and mentor from Happy Motels.

DDT “TONKOTSU SUPLEX”, 08/11/2025
ACROS Fukuoka Event Hall

1. Special 6-Man Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA, Daisuke Sasaki & Ilusion Vs MAO, KANON & Kazuma Sumi

After that he teams up with DAMNATION T.A again. Sasaki started respecting Takeshita when he turned heel in AEW and left The 37KAMIINA in DDT so he must really look up to him now that he won the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.

DDT “KUMAMOTO WARRIORS”, 09/11/2025
Kumamoto Castle Hall Civic Hall

1. Special 6-Man Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA, Sanshiro Takagi & HARASHIMA Vs To-y, Daichi Sato & Yuki Ishida

So, er… Takeshita’s going to work a few New Japan shows during this period too, right? Because he’s not beating the allegations so far. Would be funny if Takeshita’s entire title reign is spent wrestling the likes of Antonio Honda and Sanshiro Takagi instead of say Shota Umino or Yuya Uemura.

DDT “UTAN FESTA 2025”, 16/11/2025
Tokyo JR Omori Station East Exit Square

1. Omori World Title Next Challenger Battle Royal: X Vs X
2. Interim World Omori Title: Kazuki Hirata Vs Antonio Honda

The current World Omori Champion is the injured Masahiro Takanashi so an interim champion is being crowned in the meantime. Either Kazuki Hirata or Antonio Honda will become Takanashi’s stand-in for the annual Omori Title Match while another No. 1 Contender will be determined in a Battle Royal.

DDT “UTAN FESTA 2024” Results

November 10, 2024

DDT “UTAN FESTA 2024”, 10/11/2024
Tokyo JR Omori Station East Exit Plaza
1,110 Fans – Super No Vacancy

1. MJ Paul & Ilusion Vs Takeshi Masada & Diego when Paul pinned Diego with the Reverse Splash (9:51).
2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku defeated HARASHIMA, Chikara & Yuki Ishida when Endo pinned Ishida with the Burning Star Press (11:03).
3. World Omori Title Next Challenger Battle Royal: Kazuki Hirata and Antonio Honda eliminated each other with a Double Backslide Pin (9:51).
*Order Of Elimination: Demus, Akito, Toru Owashi, Gota Ihashi, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda.
4. KANON defeated Keigo Nakamura with the Vietnam Driver II (10:05).
5. World Omori Title: Masahiro Takanashi defeated Soma Takao (c) with a Cradle (8:47).
*Soma Takao fails in V2. Masahiro Takanashi becomes the 9th World Omori Champion!
6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Chris Brookes & Yukio Naya defeated Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y when Brookes pinned To-y with the Praying Mantis Bomb (20:57).

Think there were enough shows happening this weekend? Guess what, there’s more! The DDT roster that didn’t go to America still kept busy by running the annual free outdoor show outside a Tokyo train station. Part of the tradition of these shows is the annual World Omori Title match. Soma Takao was the reigning champion going into today and he lost it to Masahiro Takanashi when the Official Endless Waltz was countered into a cradle that Takao could not kick out of.

The show also had a Battle Royal to determine next year’s No. 1 Contender for the title. It came down to Kazuki Hirata and Antonio Honda but they ended up pinning each other from a Backslide Pin gone wrong. Yukinori Matsui decided that since they both pinned each other that meant they had both become the No. 1 Contenders. Honda had to leave the show after the match while Hirata stuck around to confront Takanashi and promote next year’s title match. Hirata really wanted to have the moment when the champion and challenger glare at each other in the ring while everyone takes pictures of them.

Diego and Gota Ihashi swapped places on the card. Diego was originally booked for the Battle Royal and was moved to the opener. Ihashi was vice versa.

From Seattle To Tokyo And All Points In Between This Weekend

November 8, 2024

Didn’t have time to write up a newcomers guide to DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro for American fans this weekend. Probably won’t be until Wrestlemania Week next year when I do a new one. But something I do want to post is the little wrinkle that is the new WWE ID program. It is WWE’s new initiative for scouting wrestlers on the independent scene and two of the signings announced earlier today are playing a part in this weekend’s shows with DEFY.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO/DEFY “TJPW BRIGHT EYES”, 09/11/2024
Washington Hall, Seattle, Washington, USA

1. Rika Tatsumi & Amira Vs Suzume & Arisu Endo
2. Yuki Kamifuku Vs Wakana Uehara
3. Moka Miyamoto Vs Rebel Kel
4. Mizuki Vs Liiza Hall
5. Miu Watanabe & Shoko Nakajima Vs Yuki Aino & Zara Zakher
6. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh (c) Vs Vert Vixen & Nicole Matthews

Zara Zakher is one of the ID signings which is notable for us because she’s currently in a Princess Of Princess Title program with Miu Watanabe. I don’t see much changing when it comes to TJPW’s plans for her. She can win the tag team match here and then lose next week’s title bout to Watanabe.

DDT/DEFY “DDT IN UTERO”, 09/11/2024
Washington Hall, Seattle, Washington, USA

1. Marina Shafir Vs X
2. Danshoku Dieno Vs Randy Myers

4. Gringo Loco Vs Yuni
5. Nick Wayne Vs Jack Cartwheel
6. Special Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Artemis Spencer Vs Gurv Shira & Harv Shira
7. Special Single Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA Vs Kohei Kinoshita
8. DDT Universal Title – 3 Way Match: MAO (c) Vs Mike Bailey Vs Miyu Yamashita

The other signing of note is Jack Summit, aka Jack Cartwheel. He will be facing Nick Wayne on the DDT show tomorrow making that match AEW Vs WWE. We are going to find out pretty quickly if there are any stipulations, restrictions or other caveats when it comes to indies booking WWE ID wrestlers with wrestlers attached to companies like AEW. Early word from insiders is that there are no restrictions in place and this match going ahead without incident would be the first piece of evidence towards that being true. You also have to remember Wayne has been a pushed commodity in the past for DEFY so in a world without WWE or AEW connections he would have been the favorite to win this match anyway.

There was an Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title change at the airport while the DDT crew were waiting on their flight. Danshoku Dieno found Yuni sleeping on a bench so he quietly pinned him to become the new champion. It’s not official yet but his match with Randy Myers will have the title on the line unless more 24/7 style title changes happen before then.

8. KO-D Openweight Title – Houset Co., Ltd Presents: Shinya Aoki (c) Vs Chris Brookes

Thought we were all clear from Shinya Aoki’s threats to fight Katsuhiko Nakajima somewhere down the line? Not so fast! Aoki held a short interview with Tokyo Sports today where he said his goal is to hold onto the KO-D Openweight Title long enough that he will still be the champion when he has a grappling match in ONE FC this December. Aoki cannot believe he got a fight in ONE scheduled before he got a booking in GLEAT. He then started rambling about Nakajima and asking why he hasn’t been in the news lately?

BASARA “BASARA 261 ~SOUEN~”, 08/11/2024

6. DDT Universal Title – 3 Way Match: MAO (c) Vs Mike Bailey Vs Miyu Yamashita

Miyu Yamashita’s involvement in the DEFY weekend is resulting in some creative matchups. She was already announced as one of MAO’s opponents in the DDT Universal Title match and now we know the other opponent is Mike Bailey! Yamashita could be at a disadvantage if The Moonlight Express decided to use the numbers game against her.

This is not the full card. Both Nick Wayne and Marina Shafir have been announced for the show and do not have their matches announced yet.

6. World Omori Title: Soma Takao (c) Vs Masahiro Takanashi

Masahiro Takanashi is chosen to face Soma Takao for the World Omori Title. There is also going to be a Battle Royal to determine next year’s No. 1 Contender.

The full force of BURNING must meet the power of Chikara head on! No one shall be spared.

DDT/TOKYO JOSHI PRO/DEFY “TRIANGLER DTD”, 10/11/2024
Washington Hall, Seattle, Washington, USA

1. Special Single Match: Gringo Loco Vs Miyu Yamashita
2. Special Tag Match: MAO & Mike Bailey Vs Judas Icarus & Travis Williams
3. Special Single Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA Vs Yuni

Come on Tony, give Yuni a shot at the AEW International Title. Do it for the sickos.

The Moonlight Express will team up proper at the end of the DEFY weekend for a tag match against Sinner & Saint.

I don’t know what kind of person would ever think up a Miyu Yamashita Vs Gringo Loco match but that’s some good booking right there.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW LIVE TOUR 2024 AUTUMN”, 22/11/2024
Shinjuku FACE

1. Next Generation Tournament ’24 – Final: X Vs X
2. Rika Tatsumi & Arisu Endo Vs Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao
3. International Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Shazza McKenzie

Big children rejoice for it’s the return of Hyper Misao to save the day! No better choice for her first match back from injury than to team up with Shoko Nakajima as Kyoraku Kyomei again. Rika Tatsumi will certainly welcome her back with a big hug that will suspiciously look a lot like a strangulation. Arisu Endo will probably stand to the side and give it a thumbs up.

Zara Zakher will be on the show.

DDT “GET ALIVE 2024”, 23/11/2024
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Akito 15th Anniversary Debut Special Single Match: Isami Kodaka Vs Akito
2. DDT Extreme Title & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Danshoku Dieno (c/c) Vs Yuni
3. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku

BURNING have found themselves back in the front of the line for a KO-D Tag Team Titles shot. This time however Tetsuya Endo is teaming with Yuya Koroku instead of Yuki Iino. Koroku has a pinfall win over Shunma Katsumata and that interested MAO enough to accept his title challenge.

DDT “UTAN FESTA 2024”, 10/11/2024
Tokyo JR Omori Station East Exit Plaza

1. World Omori Title: Soma Takao (c) Vs X

As we head into the winter that means it is time for the annual World Omori Title match at “UTAN FESTA”. The reigning champion is Soma Takao who won the belt in 2022 and successfully defended it in 2023. This year is his second defence of the title.

DDT “UTAN FESTA 2023”, 29/10/2023
Tokyo JR Omori Station East Exit Plaza
1,029 Fans – Super No Vacancy

1. Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul defeated Yusuke Okada, Yuya Koroku & Yuni when Sasaki pinned Yuni with a Spear (11:01).
2. Danshoku Dieno defeated Rukiya with the Danshoku Driver (6:55).
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Chikara defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Akito & Kazuki Hirata when Endo pinned Akito with the Burning Star Press (11:48).
4. World Omori Title: Soma Takao (c) defeated Antonio Honda with the Official Endless Waltz (11:20).
*V1 for Soma Takao.
5. Omori Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani defeated Aja Kong, Takeshi Masada & Kazuma Sumi when Akai pinned Sumi with the Quetzalcoatl (13:13).
6. Yuki Ueno, MAO & Toy Kojima defeated HARASHIMA, Makoto Oishi & Yukio Naya when Ueno pinned Oishi with the BME (17:20).

The 37KAMIINA were close to losing in the main event. HARASHIMA & Yukio Naya came up with an effective strategy to throw Makoto Oishi at their opponents. It worked until Toy Kojima Dropkicked Naya while he held Oishi over his head. Naya recovered and put MAO in a deep Crab Hold causing Shunma Katsumata to appear at ringside and cheer his friends on for a comeback. The comeback did happen and Yuki Ueno gave Oishi two Moonsaults to win the match. The 37KAMIINA thanked the fans for coming back to the “UTAN FESTA” shows again after the pandemic took it away for a few years.

The graduation road sent Saki Akai over to meet Aja Kong one more time. Akai was ready for Kong and even took away the steel can so she could attack Kong with it instead of the other way round! That only annoyed Kong but she ended up taking that frustration out on Kazuma Sumi because he wouldn’t stop demanding her to tag him in. Akai took advantage and pinned Sumi with the Quetzalcoatl. She then thanked Kong after the match for always being a wall she wanted to climb over. Kong spoke about first knowing Akai 10 years ago as the model who made the controversial choice to become a pro wrestler. She has developed into a fine wrestler with kicks that hurt so much! Kong said it is her greatest joy to be here and see Akai fight like this. Unfortunately Kong will be wrestling in America around the same time Akai has her retirement match so she will not be there to see it in person. All she can do now is encourage the fans to go see Akai’s final match at Sumo Hall on 12th November.

The annual World Omori Title match ended with Soma Takao successfully defending the championship for the first time. His defence was also a preview of the next KO-D Tag Team Titles match because Antonio Honda was his challenger. Shota was in the corner to support his ROMANCE DAWN tag partner while Masahiro Takanashi was not at the show. Honda came up with a clever way to even the numbers by grabbing people’s food and shoes at ringside and attacking Takao with them. However Takao kept avoiding the Diving Fist Drop and pinned Honda with the Official Endless Waltz for the victory. Takao told the fans he used to go to the “UTAN FESTA” shows as a teenager so it makes him happy he now gets to wrestle on them.
