1. Junta Miyawaki defeated Rukiya with the Sunshine Driver (4:27).
2. Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul, Demus & Ilusion defeated Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Yuya Koroku, Daichi Sato, Yuni & Hinata Kasai when Ilusion pinned Sato with a Cradle (9:29).
3. Special Single Match: Shinya Aoki defeated Sanshiro Takagi with a Backslide Pin (6:39).
4. Jun Akiyama, Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida when Naya pinned Ishida with The World’s Best Back Drop (9:46).
5. Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada defeated HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Brookes pinned Hirata after the Thrust Kick/Praying Mantis Bomb combo (13:25).
6. KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & Akito defeated Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine when TAKESHITA pinned Sasadango with a Body Press (0:56).
6a. Rematch – 1 Vs 3 Handicap Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA defeated Danshoku Dieno, Super Sasadango Machine & Akito when TAKESHITA pinned Dieno with the Raging Fire (9:59).
7. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kaisei Takechi (c) defeated MAO, KANON (w/ KIMIHIRO) & Kazuma Sumi when To-y pinned Sumi with the Kojima Impact (23:57).
*V2 for Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kaisei Takechi.

The first DDT show of 2026 kicked off with a mostly mystery show with only the main event announced in advance. Kaisei Takechi had his latest pro wrestling match teaming with The 37KAMIINA to defend the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles against Strange Love Connection & Kazuma Sumi. Takechi hit some big moves like Choke Slamming Sumi onto the ring apron and hitting KANON with the Swan Dive Forearm. MAO kept his team in the running and left it up to Sumi to finish the job. But Sumi missed a Reverse 450 aimed for To-y, allowing To-y to give him the Kojima Wonderland followed by the Kojima Impact to win the match and protect the titles.

After the match Hisaya Imabayashi announced Takechi will next wrestle in DDT on 25th January where he will team with HARASHIMA to take on Jun Akiyama & Konosuke Takeshita! Akiyama told Takechi the match will be like a fight between a father and his son. He will go all out so Takechi better bring it too! Takeshita congratulated Takechi on winning the Tokyo Sports Newcomer Award and he believes whatever fears Takechi still has about being a wrestler he will eventually overcome. HARASHIMA warned Takechi they will be fighting the strongest opponents possible in this match but it will be fine because they will do their best. Takechi is happy to hear what everyone is telling him and will aim to win despite still being a rookie. He then asked Yuki Ueno if they could have a singles match together this year, possibly at his 2nd Anniversary show on 22nd February? Ueno wants this match to happen too so he accepted the challenge. It will be Takechi’s first ever singles match when it happens.

One day before he goes into the Tokyo Dome to defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Title, Takeshita got to wrestle in DDT again and was put in a tag match with Akito, Danshoku Dieno and Super Sasadango Machine. Akito told Takeshita that his Wagamama knee strike will be the key to victory tomorrow so he should remove his right knee pad and let everyone bless it. Takeshita reluctantly did so and the match began. While the kneepad was passed around the audience, the match only lasted a minute when Sasadango missed a corner charge, knocked himself out and was easily pinned by Takeshita. Imabayashi complained about the abruptness of the match while Dieno & Sasadango explained the two of them together cannot beat Takeshita. They and Akito all agreed to team up for a 3 Vs 1 Handicap Rematch because the three of them combined is comparable to having one Yota Tsuji. The three used the numbers game to wear down Takeshita until Shunma Katsumata handed the now blessed kneepad back to Takeshita. With the kneepad now back on, Takeshita tore through the other team but instead of using the Wagamama to win, he pinned Dieno with the Raging Fire after giving him the Lip Lock. He told Akito after the match he will save the Wagamama for tomorrow’s big title match. No matter where he goes, he will always show everyone his dramatic dreams.

The time had come for Takeshi Masada to leave SCHADENFREUDE International. His final match as a member of the unit had him team with Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda while Bunbun watched on. They did their usual tricks on HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata which ultimately brought them the victory. Masada told the others after the match he is sad to leave but this is the path he chose. They are still family but the next time they’ll be in the ring together it will be as opponents and rivals. Brookes then revealed some surprising news. He said SCHADENFREUDE International was originally created to give Masada a platform to grow as a wrestler and without him the unit no longer has a purpose. So as of today SCHADENFREUDE International is disbanding! He got in contact with Masahiro Takanashi before today to get his blessing and Takanashi agreed to it. Honda said there is no point looking in the past. In 2026 they will all work hard towards a brighter tomorrow. After one last group pose, Bunbun whispered something to Brookes & Honda. They handed him over to Masada so he isn’t going to be entirely alone on his new journey.

One of the surprise matches put together on the undercard was Akiyama teaming up with The Apex to fight Harimao. Akiyama got his chest lit up with Chops which was Kazusada Higuchi’s way of wishing him a happy new year. Naomi Yoshimura also joined in with him clashing against The Apex. Yuki Ishida ended up taking more than he could chew despite scoring a nearfall with the Dosukoi Splash. Yukio Naya stopped his momentum with a Big Boot and Yuki Iino followed up with The Apex Elbow. Ishida tried making a comeback on Naya but he was put away with The World’s Best Back Drop.

Another unexpected match pitted Shinya Aoki against Sanshiro Takagi in a one on one bout. What was even more expected was just how straightforward of a match it turned out to be. No nonsense from Takagi or an unusual switch of wrestling style from Aoki. It was just the two doing their best to outmaneuver each other for the winning pinfall. Aoki came out on top by countering the Stunner into a Backslide Pin to get the three count.

DAMNATION T.A ended last year by winning the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles and the belts now all belong to Ilusion. He’s doing everything he can to carry all of the belts to the ring while the rest of the group keep doing what they’re doing against a team of mostly D GENERATIONS wrestlers (plus Tomomitsu Matsunaga). Demus & MJ Paul worked over Hinata Kasai until Yuya Koroku tagged in to fight back against Hideki Okatani & Ilusion. Yuni wiped out Daisuke Sasaki and others with a Moonsault out of the ring. But things went wrong for the younger team and Ilusion ended up rolling up Daichi Sato to win the match for DAMNATION T.A.

At the start of the show there was the announcement of a new wrestler deciding to regularly participate in DDT for this year. It is NOAH’s “Sunshine Hero” Junta Miyawaki! He said he wanted to bring his sunshine wrestling style to a variety of other wrestlers from his generation which brought him here to DDT. For his first match he took on Rukiya in the opening bout. Rukiya didn’t want to give him a warm welcome but Miyawaki overcame his attacks to beat him with the Sunshine Driver. There isn’t an exact amount of time for how long he will be in DDT for this year but he said he will leave his mark here. Akito explained it is a similar kind of deal between DDT and NOAH that Tetsuya Endo is doing between both companies. Although he also made clear this is not a direct trade of Miyawaki for Endo or vice versa.

Chaos broke out at the end of the show when El Phantasmo all of a sudden showed up to interrupt a speech Brookes was giving to the fans. ELP had warned at a New Japan fan event the day before that he could show up here to confront Brookes over their upcoming NJPW World TV Title match in the Tokyo Dome. A brawl broke out between the two around the front row before making its way into the ring. ELP wiped out everyone at ringside with a dive before getting on the microphone to declare himself the No. 1 Baka Gaijin. He then sent another message loud and clear by grabbing Bunbun and giving him the CRII! Brookes however got his own back by chasing ELP out of the ring, making the champion leave his title belt behind. Brookes posed with the belt and told fans to look forward to their match tomorrow.

During the show opening announcements, everyone sang a birthday song for Antonio Honda and Hinata Kasai. Both of their birthdays are on 2nd January.

Normally when DDT holds their annual outdoor “UTAN FESTA” shows there is a World Omori Title match to go with it. The current champion right now is Masahiro Takanashi but he is still out of action with his cervical injury. Rather than strip him of the title, DDT instead opted to crown an Interim World Omori Champion on this year’s show. Both Kazuki Hirata and Antonio Honda were joint No. 1 Contenders coming out of last year’s Battle Royal so they were now fighting each other over the Interim Title. Hirata came out on top and promised to spend an entire year as the undefeated Interim Champion. However the new No. 1 Contender Ilusion threated to take the belt next year and replace it with the World Akabane Title which he will be the champion of forever! Hirata promised that next year he will take off Ilusion’s mask and force him to become a resident of Omori!

10. KO-D Openweight Title & DDT Universal Title: Yuki Ueno (K/c) Vs Minoru Suzuki (U/c)

Just like that we have the entire lineup for Sumo Hall next month. Konosuke Takeshita wanted Kazusada Higuchi to be in his tag match so Kaisei Takechi asked for Takeshi Masada to be Higuchi’s tag partner. Danshoku Dieno is feeling like a new person after getting surgery but doesn’t understand that his match with Daisuke Sasaki is the rematch of an infamous Sumo Hall main event they had together back on 2018. The KO-D Tag Titles match doesn’t just have The Apex and Strange Love Connection involved. Team 200kg from Sendai Girls are included as well to make it a Survival 3 Way Match.

ACROS Fukuoka Event Hall

1. Special 6-Man Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA, Daisuke Sasaki & Ilusion Vs MAO, KANON & Kazuma Sumi

After that he teams up with DAMNATION T.A again. Sasaki started respecting Takeshita when he turned heel in AEW and left The 37KAMIINA in DDT so he must really look up to him now that he won the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.

Kumamoto Castle Hall Civic Hall

1. Special 6-Man Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA, Sanshiro Takagi & HARASHIMA Vs To-y, Daichi Sato & Yuki Ishida

So, er… Takeshita’s going to work a few New Japan shows during this period too, right? Because he’s not beating the allegations so far. Would be funny if Takeshita’s entire title reign is spent wrestling the likes of Antonio Honda and Sanshiro Takagi instead of say Shota Umino or Yuya Uemura.

5. Daisuke Sasaki 20th Anniversary Match: Daisuke Sasaki & El Desperado defeated Shuji Ishikawa & Antonio Honda when Sasaki submitted Honda with the Crossover Face Lock (23:10).

Twenty years of Daisuke Sasaki was celebrated inside Korakuen Hall today for the latest edition of “CHARISMANIA”. There were not only wrestling matches featuring wrestlers closely connected to Sasaki but live music was performed by several bands too. HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT sponsored the entire show, VANISHING played Sasaki’s entrance music as he walked down to the ring and Sasaki’s own band CHANNEL D opened up the show with a song.

For the main event Sasaki teamed up with a previous big show opponent El Desperado from New Japan to take on two wrestlers who have been close to Sasaki for a lot of his career, Shuji Ishikawa & Antonio Honda. A match as important as this made Honda bring out the Tenzan Tombstone Driver to use on Sasaki while Ishikwa gave Desperado the Fire Thunder Driver. The opposing team also gave Sasaki the Double Impact/Doomsday Device but Desperado came back to give Honda the Pinche Loco. And even though it was Sasaki’s day to be the hero, he still cheated by giving Honda a Low Blow when the ref wasn’t looking so he can easily make Honda give up to La Mistica Crossover Face Lock.

The members of HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT congratulated Sasaki after the match and gave him a commemorative gift. He told the fans today was CHANNEL D’s first performance and their next goal is to perform at Budokan Hall. He also gave a shoutout to the injured Masahiro Takanashi, telling him to live his own life while Sasaki continues living in the ring because they will meet again some day. He then ended the show with a rare show of thanks toward the audience followed by a joke that today’s lineup will be back in twenty years time for Sasaki’s 40th Anniversary.

Sasaki is one of the many wrestlers who was trained by Dick Togo over the years so not only did he book Togo for the show, he booked a bunch of his other protégés too! Yasu Urano, KUBITO, Diego & Naohiro Katsumi have all had their lives touched by Togo and with their mentor taking the lead the TOGO FAMILY fought a team of five DDT wrestlers. Togo had moments to fight with HARASHIMA before Akito and KUBITO took over. Togo also exchanged attacks with Kazusada Higuchi and give To-y the Pedigree on top of Yuki Ueno’s back. Togo’s last big move was to cut off HARASHIMA before doing a running dive onto Higuchi from the ring apron. However Yuki Ueno survived a Cross-Arm Power Bomb from Yasu Urano to hit back with a Dropkick and then pin him with the Best Moonsault Ever.

The rest of DAMNATION T.A were involved in matches on the undercard. Hideki Okatani’s birthday isn’t happening for another month but Sasaki got him a birthday present anyway. It was a Hardcore Match against Jun Kasai! They fought each other using computer keyboards, chairs, a guitar and even a birdcage as weapons. Kasai put Okatani through a table at ringside by jumping from the top rope onto him. As Kasai was getting the upper hand, he told Okatani out loud that his son Hinata Kasai is grateful for all of his help. Okatani wouldn’t be beaten with the Pearl Harbor Splash even after he got skewers planted into his head and he got pushed off a ladder. He also kicked out of the Vertical Drop Tiger Driver so Kasai had to pull out the Cross-Arm Stimulation to finally put him away. He wanted to shake Okatani’s hand after the match but Okatani refused and gave him the middle finger instead. Despite his behavior, Okatani said backstage that it’s been a while since a Hardcore match got him feeling this excited. Meanwhile Kasai said that since DDT is currently taking care of his son, he would like if it they start taking care of him too!

A “Memorial Cup” for Sasaki was up for grabs in the Tag Gauntlet match that ended up turning into a free for all because some of the teams decided to enter early. Danshoku Dieno spent almost the entire match crouching over the top turnbuckle in the Hell Gate position, even after his team was eliminated when Sumicaras was “unmasked” and thrown out of the ring. When Kazuki Hirata & Soma Takao were eliminated, the chaos then began thanks to The Brahman Brothers joining the match. They were accompanied by the long suffering staff member Mataro who was now Mataro Brahman! Mataro took a beating but that just gave The Brahmans the opening to eliminate Toru Owashi & Naomi Yoshimura. Just when things couldn’t get worse, the SCHADENFREUDE International team entered the match with Chris Brookes, Takeshi Masada & Bunbun also dressed up like The Brahmans and doing their spots! The Apex tried to clean things up but were overwhelmed by the ring full of Brahmans. Yukio Naya was shoved face first into Dieno’s Hell Gate, the Brahmans force fed Dieno green slime and by the end of the spot the slime started coming out of Naya’s mouth! Naya got revenge by knocking everyone out of the ring to eliminate both The Brahmans and SCHADENFREUDE. Mataro tried to distract Naya by placing a piece of sashimi onto his head. Naya took a bite out of it and fainted but Yuki Iino then chopped Mataro out of the ring. Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie were the last team to enter and used their teamwork to eliminated The Apex and then Yasutaka Oosera & Ilusion back to back to become the last team standing. Their prize for winning was a free beer voucher each. Irie isn’t much of a beer drinker so he gave his voucher to Ishii.

MJ Paul got some shine in the opening match along with part-time DAMNATION T.A member Minoru Fujita as well as a sort of ally Hiroshi Yamato. Fujita was used by Choun Shiryu to vault himself onto everyone outside the ring. Masashi Takeda used his skills to Northern Lights Suplex Fujita & Yamato at the same time. Yuko Miyamoto tried to finish off Fujita but his Tombstone attempt was reversed into the Sayonara version by Fujita. The DAMNATION-ish team ended up focusing on Shiryu which paid off with Paul using the Reverse Splash to pin him.

March 23, 2025

DDT “NANIWA FIGHTER 2025”, 23/03/2025
Osaka City Miyakojima Community Center
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. JJ Furno defeated Tomomitsu Matsunaga with the 450 Splash (7:44).
2. Toru Owashi & Yukio Naya defeated Danshoku Dieno & Antonio Honda when Naya pinned Honda after a Anal-gitsune Suicide (8:55).
3. Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & Ilusion defeated Keigo Nakamura, Yuni & Kazuma Sumi when Sasaki submitted Yuni with the Crossface Lock (10:11).
4. Special Single Match: Jun Akiyama defeated Akito with an Inside Cradle (8:34).
5. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO & Shunma Katsumata defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Kazuki Hirata & Yuki Ishida when MAO submitted Hirata with an Inside Cradle (15:40).
6. Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada defeated Yuya Koroku & HARASHIMA when Brookes pinned HARASHIMA with the Praying Mantis Bomb (16:35).

Emotions were heavy among the wrestlers for the first DDT show since “JUDGEMENT 2025” because Masahiro Takanashi was in all of their thoughts. Chris Brookes in particular struggled to find his groove in the main event. There was a moment when he had HARASHIMA in position to do the Praying Mantis Bomb but he couldn’t go through with using the move. HARASHIMA took offence and slapped Brookes over and over. After being reminded that he is the KO-D Openweight Champion, Brookes snapped back to normal and gave HARASHIMA the Nose-Pinching Chop that Takanashi usually likes to do. He then went through with doing the Praying Mantis Bomb to win the match. HARASHIMA shook his hand afterwards and called him a strong champion.

Antonio Honda took the time after the main event to talk about how glad he is to be a pro wrestler. He is also thankful to be a part of SCHADENFREUDE International calling the last few years the most wonderful time of his life. The unit will continue to fight on with gratitude, respect and prayer. Brookes then turned his attention to Yuya Koroku. He got a little taste of him today and asks to see more of what Koroku is made of in their KO-D Title match on 6th April. He closed out the show with a message for Takanashi. All the wrestlers, fans and his friends are waiting for him in this ring!

MAO and Danshoku Dieno also talked about Takanashi after their matches and passed on their words of support. MAO will be leaving The 37KAMIINA in a week but he is not sad about it. All he can do for Takanashi is go do new things that are fun. Dieno said he will continue to keep his backside sticking out here until the moment when Takanashi comes back.

The NωA Jr. performance at the start of the show had some hitches because Yuni and Kazuma Sumi kept trying to roll up Shunma Katsumata for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title in the middle of the song.

Yukinori Matsui got to promote his upcoming show in Osaka on 17th May. He also welcomed Naomi Yoshimura into the ring to give an update on his return from injury. After his comeback match on 6th April, Yoshimura would like to go wrestle in Osaka again.

Update On Masahiro Takanashi

March 22, 2025

DDT posted an update on Masahiro Takanashi today on their website and Twitter account both in Japanese and in English. The English article goes as follows:

Masahiro Takanashi, who injured his neck at the March 20 Korakuen tournament, has been diagnosed with cervical vertebrae C5 and C6 fracture and cervical spinal cord injury as a result of examination. The surgery was successful yesterday, and the post-operative course is progressing well.

He is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit, and we are very sorry that we are unable to communicate with those who are concerned about him.

We will make further announcements as soon as the situation becomes clear. We apologize for any concern this may cause to his fans, and ask for your continued warm support for Takanashi.

There has been no further update on Masahiro Takanashi’s condition since yesterday. He is still undergoing medical examinations and DDT will announce the results of his diagnosis on a later date.

6. Special Tag Match: Takuya Nomura & Kazuma Sumi Vs Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku
7. Special Single Match: Fuminori Abe Vs Keigo Nakamura

The arrival of Astronauts is adding some freshness to the DDT cards. Fuminori Abe is going to face Keigo Nakamura in a preview of next month’s KO-D Tag Team Titles match. Also I bet a few people out there will be excited by the idea of Takuya Nomura and Jun Akiyama crossing paths even if it’s just in a tag match.

A change of plans for the Hanami KING OF DRUNK tournament. Takanashi’s injury reduces the Battle Royal down to eight wrestlers so it is now going to be the last two men standing who will qualify for the final. Also Chris Brookes is no longer taking part in it, presumably out of respect for Takanashi. Yuki Ueno is swapping places with him on the card instead.

The masked man from the seafood sponsorship is back! Shishamo Power will be in action.

Here is a big chance for JJ Furno to get some attention if he can beat the current No. 1 Contender Yuya Koroku.

DDT “OWARI WARS 2025”, 29/03/2025
Aichi Chunichi Hall & Conference

1. Special Single Match: Jun Akiyama Vs Antonio Honda

3. MAO’s Last The 37KAMIINA Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO, Shunma Katsumata & To-y Vs X, X, X & X

In a move that could eventually lead to a big shake up in DDT, MAO has decided to leave The 37KAMIINA and his final match with the unit will be at the end of the month. He feels he has done everything he can do with the sauna club and has goals he knows he cannot reach if he stays where he is now. He teased having a crazy looking schedule for the next four months heading into the summer. The first piece of that story is today’s news that he is booked for a New Japan show at Korakuen Hall on 4th April along with Yuya Koroku. It is also notable that MAO is not taking part in this year’s King Of DDT tournament despite winning it last year. Could he finally be Best Of The Super Juniors bound?

5. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) Vs Shinya Aoki & Keigo Nakamura
6. KO-D Openweight Title: Chris Brookes (c) Vs Yuya Koroku

It is now confirmed that Chris Brookes is the defending KO-D Openweight Champion taking on Yuya Koroku. They’re going to have better chances to hype up their match in the coming weeks.

Keigo Nakamura has a very strong tag partner in Shinya Aoki but he is reaching the point where he does not want to hopelessly rely on him. Instead he wants to use his own power to beat Astronauts for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

KANON will be returning from his brief absence ready to fight DAMNATION T.A all by himself. He has nothing left and doesn’t care if Daisuke Sasaki & Hideki Okatani trample all over him again.

Daichi Sato is officially welcomed into the DDT roster on this show. Jun Akiyama is the welcoming party.

All of Harimao will be reunited when Naomi Yoshimura comes back for his first match since November 2022.
