Now Yuji gets to focus on his match with Masa Takanashi while Yasu Urano prepares for the Triple Threat No. 1 Contender bout on the same show.

DDT “BIG HOUSE ARROW HOMETOWN 2012”, 14/04/2012
Toyama Takaoka Coeur
222 Fans – No Vacancy

1. Takao Soma defeated Tetsuya Endo with the Boma Ye (8:25).
2. Keita Yano defeated Tomomitsu Matsunaga with the Keichan Bomber (8:17).
3. Insanely Funny Game Series – Round 1: Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi defeated DJ Nira & Daisuke Sasaki when Dino pinned Nira with the Danshoku Driver (13:08).
4. Sanshiro Takagi & Yoshiaki Yago defeated Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda when Yago submitted Honda with the Murder Cobra Twist (13:51).
5. Masa Takanashi, KUDO & Ken Ohka defeated HARASHIMA, Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie when Takanashi pinned Ishii with the Takatonic (20:12).

Sanshiro Takagi and Yoshiaki Yago confronted each other in the ring at the beginning of the show. After some arguing they made a deal. Yago would team with Takagi in the semi-main event. But if they won the match, DDT would never hold another show in his hometown again. They went on to defeat Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda but were persuaded by Urano to continue holding DDT shows in Toyama. It also looks like Yago might be joining nWJ.

After the main event, Ken Ohka invited Masa Takanashi to wrestle a match in Union.

There were some shenanigans going on between Homoiro Clover Z and Ken Ohka during the night. It began when Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi stole Ohka’s ringside banner. Later on, their own banner went missing. Dino was able to reclaim it when he and Oishi defeated Daisuke Sasaki & DJ Nira.

Masa Takanashi Wrestles Emi Sakura In Thailand – Update

April 10, 2012

BKK PRO, 10/04/2012
Hua-Hin, Bangkok, Thailand

Sea Death Match: Masa Takanashi (c) defeated Emi Sakura (8:18).

Unexpected news came out today involving Masa Takanashi and the KO-D Openweight Championship. His longtime friend Emi Sakura has launched a new wrestling promotion in the country called Bangkok Girls Pro Wrestling. During her time in Thailand, Sakura has invited Takanashi over for a wrestling match three times with Sakura winning all three matches. Over the last 24 hours, Masa Takanashi travelled over to Bangkok again, this time with the KO-D Title over his shoulder. He and Emi Sakura met in the Hua-Hin beach resort today and had an impromptu KO-D Title match. Masa won the match but DDT has not said anything about whether or not they recognise it as his first defence of the belt. Takanashi and Sakura will have another match tomorrow and it will “still relate to water” in regards to what the stipulation will be. BKK Pro will release footage of the match tonight (Thailand time) on their Twitter page, which can be found here. I’ll also update when I can on this site’s Twitter page, which can be found here.

*Update* – BKK Pro has announced there was a misunderstanding and the KO-D Championship was not on the line. Also, due to the tsunami warnings in Thailand today the rematch may not take place. Masa will be returning to Japan tomorrow.

2. Handicap Match Of Love: Hiroshi Fukuda Vs Rion Mizuki & Rumi Kazama
3. Age Contra Makeup: Cherry Vs Mio Shirai
4. DDT Extreme Title: Yuko Miyamoto (c) Vs Ken Ohka

On his 35th birthday, Ken Ohka became the No. 1 Contender for the DDT Extreme Championship. The eternal underdog is now getting the rest of Union cheering him on when he goes up against Yuko Miyamoto. But all of Ohka’s momentum and enthusiasm might be dashed once Miyamoto announces what sort of match they will have for the DDT Extreme Title.

Cherry’s age is at risk of being revealed yet again. Mio Shirai is determined to have Cherry reveal her secret and has challenged her to a match over it. Cherry accepted but turned the tables by daring Mio to go out without makeup should she lose. This will be a match where the greatest stakes are on the line. Neither will want to lose.

Hiroshi Fukuda’s relationship problems continue to get worse. Not only did Rumi Kazama ditch him for Rion Mizuki, now Hiroshi has to face both of them in a Handicap match. Will his feelings for Rumi get in the way or will he be able to move on with his life and defeat Rion Mizuki.

Also taking part in this show are Hiro Tsumaki, El Generico and American wrestler Barking Spider Clutch (or Kurokumo Clutch as some Japanese sites call him).

5a. 6-Man Tag Team Match: Isami Kodaka, Big Rude & Ken Ohka defeated Shuji Ishikawa, Shigehiro Irie & Cao Zhang when Isami pinned Irie (17:54).
5b. 3 Way Elimination Match: Ken Ohka defeated Big Rude and Isami Kodaka (6:36).
– Ken Ohka eliminated Big Rude with a German Suplex (2:59).
– Ken Ohka eliminated Isami Kodaka with two Spears Of Fire (6:36).

Ken Ohka surprised everyone when he was the last man standing in the DDT Extreme Survivor Challenge. The challenge was split into two parts. It began as a Six Man Tag Team match. The winning team would then face each other in a 3 Way Elimination match. Shockingly, Ken Ohka was able to defeat both of his partners, Big Rude and Isami Kodaka to win the challenge and earn a shot at Yuko Miyamoto and the DDT Extreme Title. Shuji Ishikawa is putting his faith in Ohka and promises to build up support for him when he faces Miyamoto.

Princess Makoto and Mio Shirai were fighting over the non-existant Union Sexy Championship during their tag team match.

Goro Tsurumi made an appearance after his two sons made a successful Japanese debut. He called out GENTARO and had his two sons ambush him. GENTARO managed to escape when he escaped Tsurumi’s grasp and ducked a Backblow from Goro Jr.

GAMI told Cherry that her passport has been sent over to an Executive Director she knows. Unfortunately GAMI does not remember his name or address. Meanwhile, Cherry Vs Mio Shirai is set for “GOLDEN UNION 2012” in Korakuen Hall on 4th May. This time if Mio Shirai loses, she will have to make her next appearance without wearing any make-up. You know how some women look completely different without make-up? Yeah, this could potentially get nasty and ruin fantasies for some people.

Hiro Tsumaki will return to Union on 4th May.

*Kana becomes the 904th champion.
7. Masa Takanashi, Kenny Omega & Daisuke Sasaki defeated HARASHIMA, KUDO & Yasu Urano when Takanashi pinned Urano with the Takatonic (16:20).

DDT are planning ahead with their KO-D Title matches in the next couple of months. A 3 Way No. 1 Contender’s Match will take place between HARASHIMA, KUDO and Yasu Urano on 4th May. The winner will face the KO-D Openweight Champion in Sapporo on 27/5. Also, this year’s King Of DDT tournament will take place on 30th June and 7th July.

Despite losing the match for his side, Yasu Urano told Masa Takanashi that he will not hold the KO-D Title for long. Yano said his Crying Wolf stablemate Yuji Hino is the strongest fighter in DDT history and that it would be he taking on Hino for the KO-D Title in Sapporo. HARASHIMA gave Takanashi encouragement and wished him luck. KUDO said he guarantees 100% that he will win the 3 Way, win back the KO-D Title and main event Budokan Hall.

The Anti-Establishment of Sanshiro Takagi & Takao Soma has come to an end, only for a new threat to emerge. Takagi & Soma held an impromptu KO-D Tag Team Title match against Homoiro Clover Z duo Akito & Hiroshi Fukuda. The match barely lasted a minute and the champs retained in the quickest title match in the championship’s history. A rematch was set afterwards but without the title on the line. Instead the losing team must have their unit split up. What followed was a big upset when Hiroshi Fukuda pinned Sanshiro Takagi and put an end to their CM Punk inspired ways. However, Takagi had a sneaky trick up his sleeve. He immediately formed a new unit with Takao Soma and one with an even more poisonous inspiration. Takagi’s new unit is called New World Japan, the nWJ!

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship reached a milestone today, gaining its 900th champion and 900th title change. Kana, now representing the Wrestling New Classic promotion, became the 900th champion aswell as the 902nd and 904th champion before finally escaping from the men. Looks like Michael Nakazawa is continuing his advances on the World Famous female wrestler. Nakazawa and Kana will next be inside a DDT ring together on 22/4.

Makoto Oishi will cash in his Ken Ohka Anytime, Anywhere contract in Yokohama on 22/4.

Tomomitsu Matsunaga was approached by Batten Tamagawa to talk about the Right To Challenge Tag Anytime, Anywhere contract. Batten asked if he could be Matsunaga’s tag team partner so they could cash in the contract together and win the KO-D Tag Team Title. Matsunaga refused and said it is because he really wants to win the title for the first time in five years. He thinks Batten is not good enough to tag with him and proved it by beating him in a match.

Takashi Dai Out Of Action, Tomorrow’s Line-Up

Sad news about Takashi Dai, a rookie who recently debuted for DDT in March. Dai was diagnosed with a cervical fracture and a spinal cord injury. He will be out of action for the long term. However, Dai was told it is possible to rehabilitate from the injury and he strongly intends to recover and return to the ring. DDT appreciates any and all support for Dai as he goes through the recovery process.

DDT’s promise to produce more shows throughout Japan will come to fruition with the Road To Budokan tour starting in April. So far there are six shows that are part of the tour.

The Triple Tails.S team of Kana & Mio Shirai have a nasty surprise ahead of them in Yokohama. Hikaru Sato & Michael Nakazawa, aka Do Hentai Dan will be waiting for them. Last time Nakazawa was in the ring with Kana he tried all he could to get his hands on her. Last time he was in the ring with Mio Shirai, she and her sister stripped him naked. So yeah, this match could get perverted real quickly.
