5. Miyu Yamashita defeated Nonoko with the Crash Rabbit Heat (8:25).

Miyu Yamashita finally got her big win over Nonoko. Yamashita said she will continue to do her best so she can become the ace of Tokyo Joshi pro. She then thanked Nonoko for their matches together because losing to Nonoko over and over made her more determined. Saki Akai came out with Ai Shimizu acting as her servant. Akai called Nonoko and Yamashita “Pig-san and Pelican”. She criticised Tokyo Joshi for having low quality beauty among their girls. Shimizu agreed, saying “It is as you say, Saki-sama” whenever Akai was done speaking. Yamashita challenged Akai to a match at the next show.

The former Fighting Comedians fought each other in the semi-main event. Yuka Sakazaki was joined by Ririko Kendo who was not cleared to wrestle on the show. Shoko Nakajima defied the two-on-one odds and got the victory. Sakazaki tearfully apologised to Nakajima and all three girls got along with each other again.

Saki Akai’s two step kick finisher is now called the Rookie Award.

The two new rookies Mizuho and Misao debuted in the opening match. MIZUHO seems to be going towards sex appeal while Misao wore an eye mask and green tracksuit. Going by the name Hyper Misao, the new girl said she is here to protect peace and love in Tokyo Joshi.

8. Get The Glory 2015! Round 2: FUMA defeated Goro Jr. with the Diving Headbutt (15:55).

Union held two shows in Tokyo BASEMENT MON☆STAR today dedicated to their Get The Glory tournament. All of Union’s regular talent took part and the prize was a match of the winner’s choice taking place in Korakuen Hall on 29th April. The end result saw some big changes to the promotion’s landscape.

In the afternoon show Goro Jr. surprised everyone with a victory over Seiya Morohashi in the first round and then a hard fought contest against FUMA in the second round. Goro failed to beat the Union MAX Champion but after the match asked for the microphone. He said up until now he was Goro Jr. but from now on he wants to fight as himself. Goro unmasked and was revealed to be Yuuya Kubo, the DDT cameraman who got involved in the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title match at “SAITAMA SUPER DDT 2015”! After the reveal Naomi Susan invited Yumakoto to continue wrestling for Union.

Kazushi Miyamoto appeared at ringside for the second round match between SAGAT and Hiroshi Fukuda. He offered a handshake to Fukuda before the match but it was rejected. When the referee was knocked out during the match Miyamoto attacked Fukuda and told SAGAT to capitalise. Fukuda somehow recovered and pinned SAGAT with a School Boy. Miyamoto revealed after the match that he and SAGAT have been hired to create a new kingdom in Union and the mastermind would be revealed soon.

Elsewhere in the early rounds Hiroshi Fukuda beat Ryu Gouma in the battle between tambourines and statute books, Shuji Ishikawa had no problem giving Cherry the Splash Mountain and Isami Kodaka pulled out the Ocean Cyclone Suplex to beat Mio Shirai.

2. Get The Glory 2015! Semi Final: FUMA defeated Shuji Ishikawa with the Jawbreaker (13:52).

4. Time Difference Battle Royal: Seiya Morohashi defeated Yuuya Kubo with the Crippler Crossface (12:36).
Order Of Elimination: Ryu Gouma, SAGAT, Cherry, Ladybeard & Mio Shirai, Daichi Kazato, Kubo Yumakoto.
5. Get The Glory 2015! Final: FUMA defeated Isami Kodaka with the Diving Headbutt (15:45).

The evening show featured the final rounds of the tournament. Isami Kodaka defeated Hiroshi Fukuda in the first semi final. In the second semi final SAGAT & Kazushi Miyamoto returned to help FUMA beat Shuji Ishikawa! FUMA was revealed to be their mastermind! The trio attacked Ishikawa with a chair and FUMA finished him off with the Jawbreaker kick.

So the final was between Kodaka and the newly turned heel FUMA. The Union MAX Champ had SAGAT & Miyamoto in his corner while Kodaka had Ishikawa & Daichi Kazato by his side. The match descended into chaos when FUMA’s henchmen interfered only for Kodaka’s allies to come to the rescue. When they were all taken out of the picture Kodaka tried to beat FUMA with a German Suplex. FUMA then countered a Leg Lariat into the Jawbreaker and then hit the Diving Headbutt to win the match and the tournament.

FUMA declared himself the undisputed ace of Union for being the champion, winning the tournament and beating Union’s best wrestlers in the process. He declined his prize of choosing what match to have on 29th April. Instead he challenged Kodaka to a match in Osaka on 1st March. FUMA then named another wrestler who is part of his new unit, MEN’S Teioh! FUMA declares he will change the history of Union Pro and his new group is the centre of the company!

Seiya Morohashi got a measure of payback on Yuuya Kubo when he submitted him to win the losers Battle Royal.

5. Yuji Okabayashi defeated Tetsuya Endo with the Golem Splash (17:36).
6. Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki defeated Antonio Honda & Konosuke Takeshita when Ibushi pinned Honda with the Sit Down Last Ride (18:36).

The first DDT show since “SAITAMA SUPER DDT 2015” saw some bad blood brewing for the upcoming KO-D Openweight and KO-D Tag Team Title matches. Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki beat Antonio Honda & Konosuke Takeshita in the main event. But their post-match speech was interrupted by Yoshihiko! The doll attacked both of them and left Ibushi laying with a Dragon Suplex. It then grabbed the microphone and said in a machine like voice that it will be the next KO-D Champion! After the show Ibushi said he never expected Yoshihiko would do this to him.

Yuji Okabayashi furthered his dominance of Tetsuya Endo with a singles win in the semi-main event. Danshoku Dino snuck up on Okabayashi after the match along with Daisuke Kiso wearing a Super Sasadango Machine mask (explained below). Okabayashi shrugged him off Dino’s attack and grabbed Kiso thinking he was Sasadango. He then gave Kiso the Torture Rack! Dino swore revenge and said the KO-D Tag Title match is now about more than just the belts.

Kazuki Hirata challenged HARASHIMA in a bid to improve his number of Twitter followers. HARASHIMA beat him with the Somato. HARASHIMA said in an interview backstage that he would like to regain the KO-D Title.

Makoto Oishi was a little upset that Shiori Asahi is no longer labelled as the X mystery wrestler. Asahi is fine with it but Oishi still instructed the fans to cheer for him. Asahi and Yasu Urano wound up pinning each other at the same time when the Modern Times Backslide Pin wound up with both of their shoulders pinned to the canvas.

Match #2 was turned into a No DQ match when everyone involved demanded it. An unwilling Daisuke Kiso Power Bombed DJ Nira with the help of Danshoku Dino & Super Sasadango Machine. After the match Sasadango said that the “Wrestling Cannonball 2014” movie begins screening tonight and he heard Minoru Suzuki arrived early looking for him. Sasadango took off his mask and placed it over Kiso’s face to use him as the scapegoat before quickly leaving the ring.

Team Dream Futures have earned themselves a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title shot. Soma Takao pinned Masa Takanashi in the 8-Man Tag match and afterwards said he wants the white belts. Takanashi was pissed off that he lost and said he is not a clown. The title match will be in Osaka on 1st March.

Gota Ihashi scored an unwanted first defence of the King Of Dark Title when he lost to Suguru Miyatake. Amon Tsurumi told Miyatake after the match that he’s starting to remind him of Michael Nakazawa.

The King Of DDT tournament returns in June. The first round take place on 6th June, second round on 14th June, the semi-finals and final on 28th June.

Mio Shirai Announces Her Plan To Retire

February 17, 2015

???????????????????????????????

Mio Shirai held a press conference today to announce she will be retiring from pro wrestling in September. Shirai was accompanied by representatives from the four companies she is under contract with. There was Naomi Susan from Union, Mayumi Ozaki from Oz Academy, Tsukasa Fujimoto from Ice Ribbon and Yumi Ohka from Pro Wrestling WAVE. All four gave Mio a lot of praise for her match with her sister Io Shirai from Saturday’s “M.I.O 2” event. There will be three more “M.I.O” shows. “M.I.O 3” takes place in Osaka Ikuno Kumin Center on 9t May, “M.I.O 4” will be in Shunjuku FACE on 19th June and the final “M.I.O” show will be in Korakuen Hall on 20th September. That show will be the destination of Mio Shirai’s retirement match.

Mio made her decision to retire due to neck problems. She has suffered from numbness in her neck for over two years but was still able to wrestle thanks to her training. Her doctor said there is no official name for her condition but explained the bones in her neck sometimes become slippery which causes the numbness. Mio spent a good amount of time thinking about her decision. She and Susan joked about putting her in a singles match with Shuji Ishikawa and taking the Splash Mountain last year. Mio said she will face Ishikawa again without hesitation if she gets the opportunity.

When asked what she is going to do after wrestling, Mio said she’d like to start doing four panel manga strips about what happens in joshi waiting rooms. For her retirement match Mio hasn’t decided who she wants to wrestle or team with. However she squashed any ideas of teaming with Io again. She doesn’t think it will happen, at least right now.

Mio ended the conference with an appeal to the entire women’s wrestling world. Wrestling does not offer long careers for women. Their bodies take a lot of abuse in a short amount of time and the effects can be long lasting for them. Mio wants every joshi to wrestle because it is what they want to do and also to have no regrets when the time comes for them to leave the business. Mio was only able to show a little part of her dream to her fans but she was still able to live her dream.

phoenix-plex

DDT made it a day to remember in Saitama Super Arena. Every championship changed hands during the show. That means HARASHIMA has finally been toppled off the mountain. Much like their last meeting for the KO-D Openweight Title six years ago, Kota Ibushi beat HARASHIMA with the Phoenix Plex to become champion. At one point Ibushi dove off of the entrance stage onto HARASHIMA. He later hit HARASHIMA with his own finishing move the Somato! But HARASHIMA kicked out of almost everything Ibushi threw at him, even the Last Ride Power Bomb and Phoenix Splash. The champion fought back with a Headbutt, a Buzzsaw Kick and the Swan Dive Somato but Ibushi caught him and hit the rarely used Phoenix Plex for the victory! The new champion celebrated with a sparkler as the show drew to a close. Ibushi’s first defence is set for Kasukabe Hall on 21st March.

fuuuuuuuuuuck-suplex

What does it take to demolish Happy Motels? Turns out Strong BJ does the trick. The KO-D Tag Team Champions were taken to the limit and then some. Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi were just too much for Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo. The Sky Twister Press from Endo to Okabayashi got a nearfall. Strong BJ recovered and focused on Takeshita, smashing him with Lariats. Takeshita was down for good after the Golem Splash. Amon Tsurumi admitted being frustrated by the result when he congratulated the new champions. He told them their first title defence will be on 29th March. Their opponents? Danshoku Dino & Super Sasadango Machine!

sasadango-sakuraba

Speaking of Super Sasadango Machine, he had a big time entrance coming out in a white costume to the song “Lonely Days”. He was ready for his big moment… a PowerPoint presentation. Today’s topic was “How To Eliminate The Disparity Problem In The World Of Professional Wrestling”. When he was done Kazushi Sakuraba was there waiting for him. Sasadango tried to beat him with a banana peel. It didn’t work. He tried to beat him with the Lehman Shock three times. It didn’t work. A montage with narration took place during the match. That also didn’t work. Sasadango just couldn’t figure Sakuraba out and that became his downfall.

Although Michael Nakazawa has already moved to Singapore he had one problem he needed to settle back in Japan. He wants his wife to come join him in his new life. So he got singer Shigeru Matsuzaki to be in his corner for the match against Danshoku Dino. Matsuzaki stopped Nakazawa from using a chair late in the match. After all, cheating to win isn’t going to help him get his wife back. Dino thanked Matsuzaki by kissing him. Dino later gave Nakazawa a goodbye kiss before ending the match with the Danshoku Destroyer. Nakazawa was dispondent after the match. He asked Dino what is a pro wrestler because he doesn’t know. Dino admitted he doesn’t know for sure but a pro wrestler should love wrestling. Nakazawa said he loves wrestling but he still does not have his wife with him so he will be going back to Singapore alone. Matsuzaki returned and began to sing. All of a sudden Michael’s wife Keiko appeared wearing a wedding dress! The two embraced. All together now. Awwwwwww!

Unfortunately the stinger at the end of the show was Keiko telling Michael backstage that she still didn’t want to go to Singapore. She then ditched him. All together now. Awwwwwww…

supertlc

The Super TLC match had Sanshiro Takagi immediately thrown into a castle of chairs. He was also put through a table by Shigehiro Irie’s Flying Sausage. Shuji Ishikawa wiped out Keisuke Ishii with the Fire Thunder through a table. MIKAMI made good use of the largest ladder but was also one of its victims. Jun Kasai put Suguru Miyatake through a bunch of tables with the Pearl Harbour Splash. This left Takagi as the last man standing and he was able to grab down the bag to win. The prize Crazy & President won is a Street Wrestling match scheduled for 15th April in Izuguranparu Park. It will be the largest outdoor area DDT has ever wrestled in. With this victory Sanshiro Takagi got to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his wrestling debut early. His 20th anniversary is tomorrow.

this-is-normal

The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title Match quickly turned into an arena wide brawl. Shuten-dōji were prepared for the champions’ shenanigans and isolated Gorgeous Matsuno from the Brahman Brothers. KUDO hit the Diving Double Knee Drop and Yukio Sakaguchi then submitted Matsuno with the Cobra Clutch.

egg-is-shioriasahi

The rules for the DDT Extreme Title match changed every 90 seconds. It started off normal, then grappling was prohibited, then it became a 2 Count match, then it was Give Up Only and finally a No Rope Escape when the match reached its finish. Akito got a taste of his own medicine when Shiori Asahi used the ropes to add leverage to his pin. Asahi is now your “X = treme” Champion!

super-kong-ironman

The first Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title change of the day took place before the Battle Royal even took place. Champion Aja Kong was ambushed and pinned in the hallway by the cameraman following her down to ringside! The cameraman fled down to the ring and found himself face to face with Yasu Urano to start the Battle Royal. He actually did alright, throwing Urano across the ring with a Spinning Headscissors. But his bizarre fairytale was cut short when Shunma Katsumata eliminated him to win the belt. The title was then passed around from Katsumata to Hikaru Sato to Soma Takao. Zeus was a force to be reckoned with and he eliminated 4 men on route to winning the title. Tomomitsu Matsunaga and Makoto Oishi were able to eliminate Zeus but down came Aja Kong to get her belt back. The match came down to Kong and Saki Akai. The model tried a Diving Body Press but Kong responded with a Back Drop and the Uraken. Akai somehow kicked out but was then put away with the Brainbuster. Kong then got revenge on the cameraman by knocking him out with the Uraken on the stage.

yoshihiko-akebono

The HIRATA GO! glasses are an unexpected hit at the merch stands and were sold out. Hirata kept a few spare ones to give to Akebono and Toru Owashi but they rejected them. Hirata then tried to dance but Antonio Honda attacked him every time. Team captains Akebono and Yoshihiko went at it as promised while everyone else battled and danced over Hirata’s glasses. While Honda was too busy dancing to realise what was going on behind him, Akebono and his team triple teamed him and then squashed him for the victory. Hirata got his glasses back and finally got to dance for everyone. Afterwards Owashi wondered if the team should continue under the name AT Hide. Meanwhile the Great Kojika was amazed at how large Akebono is in person.

dna-6man

Kazusada Higuchi continues his winning streak by submitting Kota Umeda with the Canadian Backbreaker in the DNA dark match. Higuchi hopes when the next big show comes around he will be on the main card.

kingofdark-ihashi

Gota Ihashi has the unfortunate pleasure of becoming the first ever King Of Dark Champion. He is now banished to doing the dark matches until he wins one. Ihashi tried to convince himself it’s a good thing, even calling it the KO-D Title because it has the same initials as DDT’s top belt. He eventually accepted his fate and said no matter what he will win his next dark match and pass the title over to the loser.

DDT will run Sumo Hall twice in 2016. The shows will be on 21st March and 28th August. The Beer Garden series in Shin-kiba 1st RING returns for 9 shows from 1st August to 9th August. This year’s DDT General Election will include wrestlers from Ganbare☆Wrestling and Tokyo Joshi Pro.

UNION, OZ ACADEMY, WAVE, ICE RIBBON “M.I.O 2”, 14/02/2015
Shinjuku FACE
509 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. Sonoko Kato & Ryo Mizunami defeated Tsukasa Fujimoto & Miyako Matsumoto when Kato pinned Matsumoto with the Diving Guillotine Drop (10:47).
2. Irregular Fall Count Match: Isami Kodaka & Mika Iida Vs Yumi Ohka & Daichi Kazato ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
3. Seiya Morohashi, Mochi Miyagi & Aja Kong defeated Fairy Nihonbashi, Dynamite Kansai & Shuji Ishikawa when Morohashi pinned Nihonbashi with a School Boy (11:12).
4. Four Organisations 4 Way Match: Mayumi Ozaki defeated Tsukushi, Shu Shibutani and Cherry when Ozaki pinned Shibutani after a Missile Dropkick from Tsukushi (10:46).
5. Io Shirai defeated Mio Shirai with the Moonsault (18:54).

The second four promotion collaboration spearheaded by Mio Shirai took place on a special day, her 27th birthday. The main event saw Mio take on her sister Io Shirai. It was the first time in 3 years the two wrestled in the same ring together. Io was cornered by Stardom wrestlers Yoshiko and Mayu Iwatani while Mio had Tsukasa Fujimoto, Misaki Ohata, Mayumi Ozaki and Cherry. The sisters didn’t hold back and in the end Io got the better of Mio with the Moonsault. Io took the microphone and said there was a lot of fans and media paying attention to the match. She said two sisters were able to sort out their problems in front of a large audience and it gave them an amazing match. She asked if the invisible wall that seperated them has now been broken. Io said today wasn’t about her saying farewell to her sister. Instead it may be a new beginning for both of them.

The Irregular Rule in Match #2 was Isami Kodaka and Daichi Kazato only had to be pinned for a two count for their team to lose the match. Despite the disadvantage for the men on both teams, nobody was able to capitalise and the match went to a 20 minute draw. Kodaka and Yumi Ohka both teased challenging each other to a singles match in the future.

Fairy Nihonbashi got Shuji Ishikawa and Dynamite Kansai to wear her replica masks and do elegant handshakes with their opponents. Seiya Morohashi and Aja Kong had an embarrassing moment when a double team move went wrong and the two ended up kissing each other. Kong also hit Morohashi with her steel can. She then hit Nihonbashi with it and Morohashi crawled over for the pin.

“M.I.O 3” will take place in Osaka on 9th May. “M.I.O 4” is planned for Shinjuku on 19th June.

saitama-community

First it was Sumo Hall then it was the Budokan and now DDT steps foot into Saitama Super Arena! Woah, woah, woah, hold your horses. This isn’t the full venue being used like back when Pride FC ran the place. DDT will be in the Community Hub section of the venue with an expected capacity of between 5,000 and 6,000 people. As you can see above, the hub looks emptier than Global Force Wrestling headquarters. Still, it’s been a big project for DDT to run the venue and they’ve put together a strong card in an attempt to make it a success.

0. King Of Dark Title – First Champion Final: Gota Ihashi & DJ Nira Vs Hiroshi Fukuda & Hoshitango

DDT General Manager Amon Tsurumi has proudly created a brand new championship and is eager to crown its first champion at Saitama Super Arena. However the King Of Dark Championship is quite weird in a lot of ways. It has been described as a “Misfortune Title” that is only to be defended in pre-show dark matches. The “champion” is forced to wrestle exclusively in dark matches until he wins a match and transfers the belt over to his defeated opponent. Nobody is sure why Amon came up with this idea but he is set on having it. Gota Ihashi, DJ Nira, Hiroshi Fukuda and Hoshitango are the guinea pigs fighting to avoid the same fate as every single WWE Intercontinental Champion from the last 5 years. Whoever takes the fall becomes the first champion.

0. Dark Match – DNA 6-Man Tag Team Match: Kazusada Higuchi, Tomoya Kawamura & Kouki Iwasaki Vs Ryota Nakatsu, Dai Suzuki & Kota Umeda

The DNA students have been gaining experience since their debuts last November but this will be their biggest stage yet. Amon Tsurumi has high hopes the six wrestlers will show what DNA is all about.

??????????

1. Akebono Army Vs Yoshihiko Army: Akebono, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Yoshihiko, Antonio Honda & Great Kojika

It wouldn’t be a big combat sporting event in Saitama Super Arena without a freakshow fight. If a match featuring a champion sumo wrestler, a faux lucha heavyweight who used to sumo, a guy who thinks he’s Magnum TOKYO, a blow up doll who did sumo once, a 72 year old man who did sumo before anybody reading this was born and Antonio Honda isn’t that freakshow then I don’t know what is. According to Honda, Yoshihiko is a legendary “naughty sumo” in the Netherlands and its sumo name was Chinpaku (as best as I can tell it refers to something lewd). Kazuki Hirata is the odd one out. His obsession with the “Tokyo GO!” dance has mutated and taken form in the shape of HIRATA GO glasses. Whoever wears the glasses gains an overwhelming desire to dance while “Tokyo GO!” suddenly plays in the background. Toru Owashi is praying that not a single pair of replica glasses will be sold at the merch stand.

2. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Battle Royal: Aja Kong (c) Vs Yasu Urano Vs Makoto Oishi Vs Soma Takao Vs Tomomitsu Matsunaga Vs Shunma Katsumata Vs Saki Akai Vs Bernard Ackah Vs Yuto Aijima Vs Hikaru Sato Vs Zeus

Aja Kong is the latest in the long line of outsiders who have taken the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title hostage. She has challenged anyone to try and take the title away from her. Saki Akai has a grudge to settle with Kong. The Iron Man Title was Saki’s first wrestling championship and Kong took it from her almost immediately after she won it. Since then Akai has made it her goal to win it back at the Battle Royal. There are a few other people to keep an eye on. Hikaru Sato returns to DDT and is full of confidence after winning an MMA fight in Saitama Super Arena on New Year’s Eve. Kickboxer and failed bodyguard Bernard Ackah is trying his best to adapt into pro wrestling. Also Osaka powerhouse Zeus is here for some reason.

??????????

3. DDT Extreme Title – Teletama Presents Rules Rumble Match: Akito (c) Vs X
*X is Shiori Asahi.

Shiori Asahi doesn’t get it. He’s been wrestling in DDT for a few months but each and every time he is advertised as X, a mystery “to be confirmed” wrestler. The problem is he’s not exactly a name to get excited about. Even worse is somebody always spoils the surprise so the DDT crew have to convince the audience to pretend they’re not expecting him. It’s gone to such lengths that Asahi is now getting the kind of pops for his entrance that Roman Reigns would kill for. Meanwhile Akito is quietly going through an impressive run with the DDT Extreme Title. He’s been able to showcase his technical abilities in matches that are more down to Earth than usual. But this match will be a rapid change of pace for him as it is a Rules Rumble. The rules of the match will change every 90 seconds. It could start out as a No Rope Break match then change into Falls Count Anywhere for example. The winner will also get a hamper of Saino-kuni Black Pig meat from the show’s sponsor Teletama.

??????????

4. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Gorgeous Matsuno, Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei (c) Vs KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi

It’s a surprise just how successful Gorgeous Matsuno and the Brahman Brothers have been as a trio so far. The reigning KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions have so far beaten T2Hide and the Golden☆Storm Riders. Next up to challenge them is Shuten-dōji. Nobody has been able to figure out how to survive the chaos Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei bring to their matches. The black India Ink they use to blind opponents has often been the key object of their success. KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi would rather pour their alcohol into their mouths but they may need to give the Brahmans a taste of their own medicine in order to win.

5. Super TLC Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Jun Kasai Vs Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Suguru Miytake Vs MIKAMI & Shuji Ishikawa

10 tables, 3 ladders, 100 chairs. This is going to hurt. A bag containing a “luxury prize” will hang over the ring for the wrestlers to fight over. Sanshiro Takagi & Jun Kasai form the team Crazy & President. They also have a Combat Bicycle to give them an edge over the opposition. The Golden☆Storm Riders are split over the rules. Daisuke Sasaki wants to win by any means but Suguru Miyatake thinks the match sounds cruel and horribly violent. Miyatake hopes the Riders will win through intelligence, mental and physical strength and also the power of science. MIKAMI will be in his element with the three ladders. Two of the ladders are 2m high and the third is 3m high. He expects his partner Shuji Ishikawa to put a lot of people through tables. Expect a big pyramid of chairs to be built somewhere in the building.

6. Love Of Memory: Danshoku Dino Vs Michael Nakazawa (w/ Shigeru Matsuzaki)

No Michael, no cry! This is it for Michael Nakazawa in DDT. He has now moved to Singapore but will return to Japan for one more match with singer and actor Shigeru Matsuzaki in his corner. His opponent Danshoku Dino is returning after a hernia kept him out of action for three months. Dino thinks Matsuzaki is gay so he wonders whose side he is really on.

7. Special Single Match: Super Sasadango Machine Vs Kazushi Sakuraba

Once In A Lunchtime! Super Sasadango Machine has a golden opportunity to face a legendary MMA fighter who has fought classic battles inside Saitama Super Arena. Sasadango has studied Kazushi Sakuraba and according to his most recent calculation he has a 25% chance of winning. More preparation is needed and you can be sure he will explain it to everyone with a PowerPoint presentation before the match.

??????????

8. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi

Now we get the the two matches we should all be hyped for. If you haven’t seen the 6-Man Tag main event from the last Korakuen show, go look it up now. Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo are the flag bearers for DDT’s new generation and became the tag team to beat when they won the KO-D Tag Team Titles from the Golden Lovers. What better challenge for them than one of the best tag teams on the Japanese indie circuit, Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi? The challengers have the size and experience advantages but don’t underestimate the strength of the champions. Endo is capable of doing the Torture Bomb on people their size while Takeshita came close to giving Sekimoto the Deadlift German Suplex in Korakuen. Can the Future of DDT peform their greatest feat yet or will the two golems of Big Japan Strong Style demolish Happy Motels?

??????????

9. KO-D Openweight Title: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Kota Ibushi

The two biggest stars in DDT collide again five and a half years after their previous one on one match. Back when DDT ran Sumo Hall in 2009 for the first time, HARASHIMA defended the KO-D Openweight Title against Kota Ibushi. It is only fitting that the same match headlines DDT’s first show in Saitama Super Arena. Ibushi won the last match but a lot has changed since then. While Ibushi has won over fans around the world and splitting time between DDT and New Japan, HARASHIMA stayed put and became the most dominant KO-D Champion in the company’s history. Much like how John Cena is the top wrestler in WWE, HARASHIMA is the same in DDT. The two have only wrestled three singles matches against each other in their entire careers (22/10/06, 30/12/07 and 23/08/09) and HARASHIMA has the better record with two wins over Ibushi.

While the two have a respectful rivalry with each other, Ibushi has unexpectedly gotten under HARASHIMA’s skin during the build up to the big match. Oddly enough he did it by simply playing Rock Paper Scissors when HARASHIMA offered him a handshake Scissors beats Paper, after all. A few shows later HARASHIMA attempted the same trick but Ibushi was one step ahead and changed to Rock. The normally calm and cheerful HARASHIMA began to show a few cracks. He doesn’t like being made a fool of. But there is one move he has that can beat Rock, Paper and Scissors. The Somato! He hits that enough times on Ibushi and he’ll be able to smile again with the KO-D Title over his shoulder.
