*V1 for Miu Watanabe.
One defence down for Miu Watanabe. Her International Princess Title reign is off to a good start with a successful defence against Moka Miyamoto. The challenger stepped up for the big main event spot, hitting her new Korokan finisher but taking too long to cover the champion. Her second attempt at the move was blocked and Watanabe was able to beat her with the Tear Drop. Watanabe was happy that Miyamoto was the first person to challenger her and the goal she gives herself as champion is to break the record for most title defences (the record is currently 4 defences held by both Hikari Noa and Maki Itoh). Watanabe wants her next challenger to be from overseas because it is an international championship.
Cheerful as always, Willow Nightingale’s enthusiasm and power finally made its way to Tokyo Joshi Pro. Her first match in the promotion was a successful one after she pinned Yuki Kamifuku with the Gutwrench Power Bomb. Yuka Sakazaki has already given her approval and wants Nightingale to come back to TJPW. Meanwhile Itoh had to interpret for Kamifuku in their post-match interview because Kamifuku only spoke in English and kept saying words ending with “-ingale”.
Saki Akai’s next TJPW appearance will be on 13th November for Yuki Arai’s homecoming show in Kyoto.
