There is now two weeks to go until “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’26” and today was the go home show for the event. Yuki Arai had Mifu Ashida cheering her on despite having her pompoms thrown away by Sakura Hattori. The ninja later played her part in keeping Arai held back so Miyu Yamashita could beat down on Ashida. However Arai broke through to try and rescue her Kyoto Tag partner only to get Skull Kicked for her troubles. With her out of the way, Yamashita then whipped Ashida down onto the mat to submit her with the Modified Cobra Clutch. After the match Yamashita said this isn’t all that Arai has got but she’s still going to kick her down and win the Princess Of Princess Title. Hattori gave her support to her K!SS// partner and the two of them promoted “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’26” to end the show.
Last week Rika Tatsumi claimed she lost in the 8-Woman Tag main event on purpose to help ignite Kyoraku Kyomei into finally wanting to fight Daydream for the Princess Tag Team Titles. That claim had stuck with Hyper Misao all week so she got her hair cut to be 30cm shorter before today’s match. Misao told everyone this on the microphone and joked that she is now totally ready to win the title. This likely was a reference to the time in 2018 when Tatsumi dramatically cut her own hair as part of a failed Princess Title challenge because as soon as she heard Misao’s joke, she immediately lost her temper and choked her with the mic cable to start the match. Miu Watanabe later won the match by pinning Shoko Nakajima with the Tear Drop. Then for a little added boost of momentum, Daydream stopped Kyoraku Kyomei from stealing the title belts after the match. In an ironic turn of events backstage, Kyoraku Kyomei are now claiming that they lost on purpose today in order to motivate the champions for the title match.
A misfire between Daisy Monkey has all of a sudden given Wakana Uehara some motivation heading into her International Princess Title match. Arisu Endo tried to Super Kick Toga but it was dodged and Suzume took the hit instead. Toga gave Endo the Absolute Zero then rallied Uehara to finish the match. Suzume fought back using a low level Ring A Bell but Uehara kicked out of it and then blocked the regular version of Suzume’s finisher. Uehara then jumped onto Suzume and rolled her into the Banana Pillow, keeping her away from the ropes and wrenching in the hold until Suzume tapped out. Suzume has considered her challenger a threat from the beginning but admitted today is the first time she’s really seeing her strength up close. She now wants to fight Uehara more than ever before and is starting to feel hungry about it.
Next week is the Tanabata festival so Pom Harajuku carried down a bamboo branch to stick onto one of the ring corners. She then asked Mizuki & Uta Takami to write down their wishes to stick onto the “tree”. Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu then attacked them from behind to start the match. Harajuku pulled Mizuki away from ringside during this and trapped her in another part of the building. She then went back to the ring and ripped apart Takami’s wish in front of her. Mizuki eventually broke free from her imprisonment and got the hot tag. She made Harajuku tap out to the Souther Cross while Takami held Kiryu in the Koala Clutch.
Today was Kira Summer’s last match in Tokyo Joshi Pro before she travels home to Australia for the rest of the summer. Her return will be happening around the middle of August. So Australia, go and get ready for Kira Summer’s Summer Of Kira!
