1. Yuki Kamifuku, Sakura Hattori & Momo Sato defeated Chika Nanase, Ren Konatsi & Shion Kanzaki when Hattori submitted Kanzaki with the Shinden Fudo Ryu Majime Ura (10:20).
2. Miyu Yamashita & Haru Kazashiro defeated Mizuki & Shino Suzuki when Kazashiro submitted Suzuki with the Izayoi (11:16).
3. Rika Tatsumi, Arisu Endo, Wakana Uehara & Uta Takami defeated Hyper Misao, Raku, HIMAWARI & Mifu Ashida when Tatsumi pinned Ashida with the Sliding Hip (10:36).

7. 13th Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Shoko Nakajima defeated Yuki Arai with a Scorpion Death Lock Counter (15:32).

The second round of the Tokyo Princess Cup ends with its two of its biggest favorites both eliminated! The reigning Princess Of Princess Champion is gone after Yuki Arai suffered a close defeat against Shoko Nakajima. Arai pulled out something big for the match, using a Twisting Superplex off the top rope. She also blocked Nakajima from doing the Locomotion Northern Lights Suplex before switching to Big Boots to try and keep her opponent down. Nakajima took the attacks and turned things around with a Frankensteiner followed by the 619. She looked to have made a grave mistake when she went for the Diving Senton and Arai rolled out of the way. Arai then went to apply the Scorpion Death Lock but Nakajima grabbed hold of her and cradled her into a pinfall for the three count. After the match Nakajima talked about recently turning 35 years old and it’s getting more difficult for her to win as both she and Tokyo Joshi Pro grow older. But fighting Arai today reminds her of how fun TJPW is. Right now she just wants to go home and sleep but tomorrow TJPW has an entire weekend of matches happening at the Tokyo Idol Festival outside in the blazing sun. Meanwhile Arai is disappointed she won’t make the final four of the tournament like she’s often done in the past. It’s also her first singles loss of the year. She thinks she hasn’t defended the Princess Title enough so she will train like crazy while waiting for the eventual Princess Cup winner to challenge her.

Last year’s Princess Cup winner Miu Watanabe is out too! Yuki Aino is the one who can claim to have beaten the unstoppable monster princess by adapting her finishing move into an improved version. She got Watanabe in the Full Nelson Of Love And Fire but Watanabe fought her hardest to try and break out of it. Aino was able to keep her opponent in the hold and drag her down to the mat where she tangled her up even more until Watanabe gave up. Aino calls this version of the move the Full Nelson Of Love And Fire Z because it is the ultimate form of her finisher so the letter Z was the only suitable thing she could add to the end of it. Watanabe said she was confident going into the match because she has beaten Aino more often than she’s lost to her. She is sad over losing but wants everyone to know this cannot be the end of the monster princess and she will always be one forever!

Pom Harajuku was going to hunt for bees today and tried to fight off Suzume with a butterfly net and a small insect cage. When she quickly realised those tools weren’t going to work she ran off and returned in a full beekeeping outfit! She chased Suzume around ringside with a large net and eventually caught her. She then dragged Suzume over to the timekeeper’s table where she taped her hands to the stage in an attempt to have her counted out. Suzume was able to free herself and get back in the ring with little trouble. In the meantime Harajuku took off the beekeeper suit and forced Uta Takami to wear it as a decoy. Suzume fell for the trick and tried to grab Takami, thinking it was Harajuku. The School Boy from the actual Harajuku afterwards only got a two count and Suzume quickly took control back of the match. Harajuku put the suit back on one more time and took a big swing with the net but Suzume dodged it, pulled the outfit over Harajuku’s face to blind her and then hit the Ring A Bell to win the match. Suzume will face Shoko Nakajima in the Quarter Finals. She remembers losing to Nakajima in the 1st Round a few years ago (2023) and said it was a match where she felt she really evolved at the time. She wants to grow even bigger so she won’t lose to the Big Kaiju. Harajuku explained she only wanted to study Suzume for her summer vacation project and she would have killed two birds with one stone if she won the match as well. It was an upgraded tactic of something she used against Suzume before but she didn’t think Suzume would have been upgraded as well. So the next time they fight Harajuku says she’ll bring a flamethrower to beat Suzume!

Waiting for Yuki Aino in the Quarter Finals is Toga. She took Mahiro Kiryu’s best shot and has now reached the furthest she has ever gotten in the tournament. Kiryu’s blew her big chance when she tried to do the Apology Knee Drop from the second rope Vader Bomb style. Toga got out of the way and then countered the Spinebuster into the Absolute Zero for the win. Toga is happy to have surpassed one of her seniors but expects Aino to be a tougher opponent. She doesn’t like the heat while Aino is all about being passionate like fire. Maybe Toga will need to absorb that passion in order to advance further. Kiryu said her theme for the tournament was “Now’s The Time!” Except she never seized the moment and she only has herself to blame.

Hyper Misao based her strategy for today’s 8-Woman Tag Match on her Quarter Final opponent Rika Tatsumi. She was once told by someone she respects that the most important thing for pro wrestlers is 90% the ring entrance and 10% the match itself. So Misao’s team would attack and dispose of Tatsumi’s tag partners when they enter the ring one by one, leaving Tatsumi in a 4 Vs 1 disadvantage. Tatsumi’s team were ambushed and trapped underneath the ring apron while Misao’s team went wild on Tatsumi. She was eventually able to find her team and free them so the match could continue on as a fair fight. Tatsumi won the match and afterward tried to pin Raku for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title as they were all leaving ringside. Raku kicked out and escaped with the belt. Raku later told reporters she is looking forward to the Tokyo Idol Festival this weekend because she wants to take a nap using the title as a pillow underneath the blue sky.

Today is Shino Suzuki’s first match back since taking a two month break for recovery reasons. Although she lost her match, everyone else involved were all happy to have her back.

A new match was made for the 23rd August Korakuen Hall show. Ober Eats will be getting back together so they can face the team of Mifu Ashida & Sumire Natsu!
