Weirdest episode of HBO Boxing 24/7 ever.
Huh? What’s that? Oh, right. The Danshoku Dino Vs Bob Sapp public workout session was held yesterday. Sapp’s manager convinced the fighter to take it easy because they think Dino is week. Dino sparred with Tanomusaku Toba and showed Sapp a peak of what to expect for their match at Sumo Hall.

Way, way back in 2009 Kota Ibushi travelled over to America as part of Team DDT to wrestle for Chikara Pro during their big King Of Trios weekend of shows. The biggest memory Ibushi left on fans was him winning the Rey De Voladores tournament. However, some of you may also remember the Youtube video of Ibushi meeting up with Louden Noxious from Kaiju Big Battel where Kota requested to enter the Danger Zone and have a battel with some of the notorious Kaiju. Hopes were raised and T-shirts were made to support the idea but nothing ever really came from it. When Ibushi returned to the USA for the debut EVOLVE show in January 2010, he paid a visit to Studio Kaiju along with Michael Nakazawa and Munenori Sawa (who had his own confrontation with some of the monsters, as can be seen here) but again it looked like the plan to bring him in for a Kaiju show just wasn’t going to happen. However, both parties still had a plan up their sleeves.
As you can see, Ibushi ended up writing a letter to the Kaiju Commissioner in hopes of getting to fight a Kaiju, any Kaiju. He could have fought side by side with The Heroes to battel the evil Dr. Cube and his henchmen, he could have fought an epic battel with Uchu Chu The Space Bug, he was even willing to step into the Danger Cage against the psychotic Kung Fun Chicken Noodle. Unfortunately due to the slight setback of the Commissioner being murdered and Dr. Cube taking over the company, Ibushi was informed that he would never get the chance to fight in Kaiju Big Battel. Disappointed but not losing hope, Ibushi journeyed over to Dr. Cube’s hideout to take matters into his own hands.
What happens next? Stay tuned to find out…
For more information on Kaiju Big Battel, head on over to www.kaiju.com

DDT held a press conference yesterday for Danshoku Dino and Bob Sapp to publicly sign the contract for the long-awaited (???) grudge match at Sumo Hall on 24th July. Sapp clearly sees his opponent as a big joke and is treating the match as nothing more than a “easy payday”. However, Dino got under Sapp’s skin when he snuck up and placed a wig on his head. When the contract was signed, Sapp took a big bite out of the piece of paper. Dino meanwhile crumpled up the contract and rubbed it against his crotch and also Sapp’s crotch. Sapp’s final message to Dino was a grim one: “I am far from gay. But I’ll tell you what, I may go to jail…for killing one!”
YOSHIHIKO appeared before the conference began as it was announced he was taking part in the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Battle Royal at the show. He stayed in the room to watch over the Dino Vs Sapp contract signing.

Both Union wrestler Cherry and DDT referee Kiso Daisuke thanked everyone who became their customers during their time working there. DDT still runs the Dropkick Bar and Ebisuko Curry restaurant in Kabukicho, Shinjuku.

2. Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Super Shit Machine defeated MIKAMI & Michael Nakazawa when Machine pinned Nakazawa with a Diving Headbutt to the anus (9:54).

6. HARASHIMA, HERO! & Shigehiro Irie defeated GENTARO, Yasu Urano & Keisuke Ishii when HARASHIMA pinned Ishii after the Somato Of Friendship (15:19).
7. KUDO & Kota Ibushi defeated Shuji Ishikawa & Big Morohashi when KUDO pinned Morohashi with the Diving Double Knee Drop (17:40).
KUDO has struck a blow back towards Shuji Ishikawa as the build up to their Sumo Hall main event match continues. Today in Nagoya, KUDO teamed with Kota Ibushi to defeat Ishikawa & Big Morohashi. Although KUDO wasn’t able to avenge his pinfall loss to Shuji from their last tag battle, he will settle for just winning the match for the moment. At the end of the show KUDO said that when he wins the KO-D Openweight Title he will lead the new era of DDT.
Danshoku Dino found a new move which he hopes to defeat Bob Sapp with at Sumo Hall. Not sure what the Bob Killer is yet but going by the name it could be the Dick Killer submission move used by TAKA Michinoku.
Hikaru Sato was so impressed by Akito’s performance in Match #4 that he decided to include him as the fifth member of his team for the 5 Vs 5 Elimination match at Sumo Hall.
A sudden crisis has occurred for Michael Nakazawa and his anus. The Super Strong Machine’s Diving Headbutt badly injured Nakazawa’s backside in their match. The injury is so severe it could prevent Nakazawa from participating in the Sumo Hall Anal Blast opening ceremony if he does not recover in time.
The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changed hands twice on this show and had an even busier day afterwards. With some help from the ropes, Daisuke Sasaki pinned Antonio Honda to win the title, only for Tsuyoshi Kikuchi to roll Sasaki onto his shoulders immediately afterwards. For the rest of the day Antonio Honda tried to sneak attack Kikuchi and win the title back. But each and every time Kikuchi was able to escape or even beat Honda, scoring some rare defences of the belt. Meanwhile Mr. #6 announced that he will be a part of the Sumo Hall Battle Royal where the title will be at stake.

The Dirty Dirty Sheets web page has a pretty good interview with Kenny Omega posted on their site. Find out what is the source behind Kenny’s power, how much he enjoys his time in PWG and JAPW, what makes him and Kota Ibushi so successful as a team, why he would be a good Joshi wrestler, how he rates his Hadouken and who he would like to face in the future.
The interview can be read here.

8. KO-D Openweight Title: Shuji Ishikawa (c) Vs KUDO
The main event of this week’s Monthly Young Communication event had Keisuke Ishii and Shigehiro Irie fight to a 20 minute draw. A rivalry has been building up between the two top prospects from the newest generation of DDT and Union wrestlers so when their most recent battle ended in a stalemate, they both requested a rematch. Tsurumi Amon complied and made the match for 24/07 at Sumo Hall.
So far 12 competitors have been added to the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title Battle Royal. Antonio Honda is currently the champion but there is no doubt the title will change hands numerous times before we get to Sumo Hall. Expect more entries to appear in the match as well. This will also be Makoto Oishi’s first match back since his injury from last month put him on the sidelines..
An election has taken place to determine the lucky man who will participate in the Anal Blast opening ceremony. Three names have been put forward: Michael Nakazawa (nominated by himself), Batten Tamagawa (nominated by Sanshiro Takagi) and Tanomusaku Toba (nominated by Danshoku Dino). Even better is voting is open to the public. You, yes YOU can help decide who gets the honour of participating in the ceremony.
In order to vote, send an e-mail titled “DDT 明日の肛門スターは君だ！” to zkoumonbakuha@gmail.com and include one of the names below in the message. You can only vote once per e-mail account. Any duplicate votes from the same address will be ignored. Voting begins today and will end on Thursday 21st July.
The nominees are:
○中澤マイケル (Michael Nakazawa)

Giant Robin’s height and weight are written down as unknown but his date of birth is 25th September, 1975 and he is also nicknamed “Dynamite Ishikawa”. So this means Giant Robin will be Shuji Ishikawa.
Luscious Latasha is an 8 year veteran and has been recently wrestling in Japan for the REINA promotion.

Shin-Kiba 1st RING
0. Dark Match: Michael Nakazawa Vs Masa Takanashi ended in a Time Limit Draw (10:00).
1. Toru Sugiura defeated Kazuki Hirata with a Northern Lights Suplex (9:56).
2. Shota defeated Rion Mizuki with a Frog Splash (7:34).
3. Ryuichi Sekine defeated Hiroya Fukuda with a Combine (7:11).

5. Keisuke Ishii Vs Shigehiro Irie ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
Since Michael Nakazawa Vs Masa Takanashi ended in a draw, DDT decided that both wrestlers will added to the KO-D Tag Team Title match at Sumo Hall, which is now going to be a 4 Way Tag Team match. Michael Nakazawa chose Kenny Omega to be his partner for the match so that they can reclaim the titles they briefly held last month. Masa Takanashi shocked everyone by inviting his tag partner down to the ring…Daisuke Sekimoto! The former KO-D Openweight Champion and ace of the Strong BJ style will return to DDT for the first time in the same building where he lost the KO-D Title. And wouldn’t you know it, Sekimoto will get to face the very person who beat him for that belt one year ago, HARASHIMA. This time around HARASHIMA is holding the gold and Sekimoto will gunning after him with Takanashi by his side.
