1. Ken Ohka Vs Masao Orihara
2. Shuji Ishikawa Vs BENTEN
3. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs El Generico

El Generico has made a big impression on the Union gang. So much so that his return on the Shinjuku FACE doubleshot has him taking on Isami Kodaka for the DDT Extreme Title in the main event of the afternoon show. But whoever wins the championship will have a big challenge ahead of them later on that day.

Nanae Takahashi and Akito will also compete on the show.

Shinjuku FACE

1. Big China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Titles: Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa (c) Vs X & X
2. SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title – Chain Deathmatch: Mio Shirai (c) Vs Ken Ohka
3. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi Vs Yoshiaki Yago
4. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka or El Generico (c) Vs Shuji Ishikawa

The ace of Union, Shuji Ishikawa will also get a DDT Extreme Championship match on the 19th. He will be in the main event of the evening show taking on the winner of Kodaka Vs Generico.

The rivalry between Ken Ohka and Mio Shirai has not been a good experience for Ohka. Mio Shirai has embarressed Ken Ohka time and time again by beating him up and putting him to sleep with the Figure 4 Neck Lock on a regular basis. Most recently, Mio won the SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title from Ohka in his first defence, nullifying all of the hard work he did to win the belt. To make it even worse, Mio forced Ohka to wear a dog collar and refer to her as “Master”. Ohka interrupted Mio’s interview at the Union press conference wearing the collar with a chain attached to it, demanding a Chain Deathmatch with the SGP J.r Title on the line. Ohka thought he got one over on Mio when he was able to attach the chain to her wrist while taunting her with the key. However, Mio wrapped the chain around her hand, hit Ohka with a backfist and applied the Figure Four Neck Lock to choke him out before freeing herself.

Masako Takanashi will also compete on the show.

Poison Sawada JULIE has been having nothing but bad luck since his return to the ring. After losing to MIKAMI at Sumo Hall and then getting dismantled by Daisuke Sasaki during Beer Fight week, Sawada visited a fortune teller to search for a solution to his problems. The fortune teller told him that the name ‘Poison Sawada JULIE’ is filled with bad vibes. If he was to change his name, it could lead to a new golden age for Sawada. So now Sawada is currently searching through his scrolls and studying his ancient scripts in the hopes of discovering a name that will lead to a new chapter of his life. He will debut his new moniker at Korakuen Hall.

7c. Isami Kodaka defeated MIKAMI with a Leglock (6:28).
*V2 for Isami Kodaka.

Isami Kodaka resisted a fierce challenge from MIKAMI to keep the DDT Extreme Championship. In a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match, Isami got the first fall by beating MIKAMI with his own favorite move, the School Boy. MIKAMI’s ladder came into play in the second fall and the challenger’s expert use of the object helped him tie the score. However in the third fall, Kodaka was able to break down MIKAMI’s leg and eventually submit him to stay as champion.

Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa became Tag Team Champions once more by winning the Big China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Titles from Chou-un Shiryu & Cao Zhang. Their match turned hardcore with plenty of brawling among the crowds plus the use of foreign objects like tables, a bicycle and a pile of DVDs. Princess Makoto even got involved by climbing on top of a barricade and diving onto the challengers. However it just was not meant to be for the New Beijing crew and their illustrious championship is now in the hands of the TKG48. Could this be the rebirth of the “Greatest Title Run Ever”? We will soon find out as it was announced that the first team to challenge the new champs will be The Great Sasuke & Ricky Fuji!

Seiya Morohashi will officially change his ring name to Big Morohashi on this show.

Shinichiro Tominaga and El Generico will cross paths once again, this time in a tag match. Generico and his partner for the night Yano K Data can make a big splash by grabbing the win over the KO-D Champion, Shuji Ishikawa.

Two thirds of the Triple Tails joshi faction will show up on the show. The Shirai Sisters will take on Cherry and Ken Ohka. The last time Mio Shirai & Io Shirai were in a DDT/Union ring was during last year’s Beer Garden Pro Wrestling shows. It wasn’t a pleasant experience when they fought Kenny Omega & Michael Nakazawa in a match where the losers had to strip naked. Nakazawa cheated to win but the Shirai Sisters decided to strip him of his dignity instead. Like I said, not pleasant.

7. Dick Togo, Gedo & Tomohiro Ishii defeated Kota Ibushi, Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki when Togi pinned Honda with the Diving Senton (19:35).

Two matches were announced for Dick Togo’s retirement show on 30th June. Togo’s final match in his illustrious career will be against Gedo. There will also be a tag match pitting Antonio Honda & Jado against The Great Sasuke & TAKA Michinoku.

The Shit Heart ♥ Foundation used plenty of dirty tactics to win both of their matches over GRANMA. Tomimitsu Matsunaga, who announced back at “NON-FIX 3.16” that he would not appear on this event, showed up disguised as the Super Shit Machine and swapped places with the real Machine during its match with Yasu Urano. The plan worked a treat and Matsunaga pinned Urano with Yukinori Matsui none the wiser. Takao Soma won the next match by DQ when he convinced the ref that GENTARO gave him a Low Blow. By winning both matches, the SHF were allowed to add two stipulations for the KO-D Tag Team Title match in Nagoya on 4/17. Their stipulations are that the SHF cannot be disqualified and that Urano & GENTARO can only win by pinning Soma or Machine for 5 seconds rather than the traditional 3 count.

Kenny Omega announced that he will participate in the upcoming KO-D Openweight Title Contendership Tournament. This will be the first time Kenny will enter the annual DDT tournament.

Gorgeous Matsuno will have his return match on 4th May at Korakuen Hall.

New Union Matches, Yago Explains The SS Susan

March 25, 2011

UNION “SCHOOL ENTRANCE CEREMONY”, 03/04/2011
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Best Of The Super Junior Celebration: Ken Ohka Vs Tatsuhito Takaiwa
2. Top 10 Idol Death Match: Cherry Vs Miyako Matsumoto Vs Tsukasa Fujimoto
3. Seiya Morohashi Vs Yoshiaki Yago
4. Tag Team Gauntlet: Isami Kodaka & Yano K Data Vs Kengo Ohka & Madoka Vs Choun-Shiryu & Cao Zhang (w/ Princess Makoto)
5. Sanshiro Takagi, Genichiro Tenryu & Shigehiro Irie Vs Shuji Ishikawa, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi & Hiro Tsumaki

Cherry takes on two of the best women to come out of Ice Ribbon. Miyako Matsumoto and Tsukasa Fujimoto have both achieved the Triple Crown of titles to win in Ice Ribbon. Matsumoto just edges ahead for holding all titles simultaneously at one point. But if this does turn out to be some sort of hardcore match, Fujimoto has the advantage. You can thank Jun Kasai for that.

Yoshiaki Yago has posted a message on the DDT website explaining why he formed the SS Susan (or Susan Guard) with Kengo Ohka & Madoka. Yago has not been impressed by Union, finding it a promotion filled with unspectacular wrestlers who have no talent. He would get no benefit signing with the Union Sekigun as the sub-brand would only be “drifting the bottom of the world of professional wrestling” for the rest of time. He also laughs at Sanshiro Takagi’s attempts at running the TKG48 stable.

However, Yago has found a cause worth fighting for in Union. He has found someone who has recently struggled to be heard over the ruckus between Shuji Ishikawa’s side and TKG48. Her name is Naomi Susan, the woman in charge of Union outside of the ring. It seems that Yago has fallen for Naomi. He wants to cheer her up and make running Union easier for the pretty lady. So rounded up Kengo Mashimo Ohka and Madoka to form his own team and purge the “non-atheltes” from Union, punish his arch-rival Sanshiro Takagi and bring the “beautiful smile” back to Naomi’s face. Whether or not Naomi actually approves of this and is on their side is not known at the moment.

5. Choun-Shiryu & Cao Zhang defeated Isami Kodaka & Yano K Data when Zhang pinned Kodaka with the Sitdown Power Bomb (13:32).
6. Shuji Ishikawa defeated Tsuyoshi Kikuchi with the Splash Mountain (13:40).

Shuji Ishikawa got the big win for himself and for Union as he defeated Tsuyoshi Kikuchi in the main event. The match had none other than Kyohei Wada of All Japan fame as the referee. It was a very physical match as Kikuchi was left bleeding from under his eye after all the damage he took.

Yoshiyaki Yago came in to Union with the prospect of facing his old nemesis Sanshiro Takagi. Seeing that Takagi formed his own supergroup called the TKG48, Yago went and formed his own unit temporarily called the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the two forces were set to collide in Shinjuku FACE. Yago recruited Madoka and Kengo Mashimo, who got rid of the Kengo Ohka name he had previously been using in Union. Takagi had his protege Shigehiro Irie and also brought in Atsushi Aoki from Pro Wrestling NOAH as his partners for the 6-Man Tag. Yago’s team won in the end with Yago himself earning the win with the aways deadly Cobra Twist Murder. The TKG48 had to cope with its first loss in Union. Not good, especially since Jun Akiyama was in attendance. When Takagi found out he approached Akiyama and offered him a spot in TKG48 aswell as a Kojima Haruna calendar as a gift. Akiyama said nothing and left the arena instead.

The situation did not end there as Yago and his group interrupted the post-show speeches to finally announce their official name. Yago claimed that he, Maashimo & Madoka were hired as bodyguards for Naomi Susan, the woman in charge of Union. So they now call themselves the SS Susan. Ishikawa wasn’t happy with this turn of events and challenged the SS Susan to a 6-Man Tag on 6th March at Shin-Kiba 1st RING. The match was made with Shuji picking Seiya Morohashi as one of his partners. Kikuchi asked Takagi if it would be ok if he could team with Shuji and Seiya. Takagi thought about it and decided to rent out Kikuchi to the Union side for a month so he could compete in the match.

After pinning the champion in the semi-main, Cao Zhang challenged Isami Kodaka to a DDT Extreme Title match. Isami accepted and their bout will take place on 6th March. Ever since his first appearance, Cao Zhang has been using a giant mallet to help win his matches. This could come into play when the stipulation of the title match is decided.

Looks like my guess for LuFisto’s replacement in the match with Ken Ohka was wrong. Very wrong. Ken Ohka had to fight Aja Kong. Needless to say the poor guy got killed out there.

The series of high profile matches for Shinichiro Tominaga continued with a defeat to Tigers Mask. Tominaga almost had the match won but his attempt at the Nagata Lock (Figure 4 Version) left him vulnerable to a roll up from Tigers. His next opponent will be Hikaru Sato.

Takao Omori came into Union to take part in a three match exhibition against a few micro indy wrestlers. He defeated Mitsuhiro Yoshida, Satoshi Hiroshi Kazato and Batten Tamagawa pretty easily.
