The bout will also be a dark match. Yago thinks the match will be so dangerous that he doesn’t want Union boss Naomi Susan to see it, fearing that it would upset her.

After the main event, Masa Takanashi said win or lose, he always gets beaten up in his matches. However, he believes the years of getting beaten and bruised have toughened him up. Now he can take the best kicks KUDO can give and outlast the KO-D Champion in their title match next month.

1. Yoshihito Sasaki Vs Sami Callihan
2. Dick Togo Vs KUDO
3. Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa Vs Ryuji Ito & Danny Havoc

Some matches have finally been announced for The Indie Summit 2011, a joint show produced by Combat Zone Wrestling featuring Japanese wrestlers from DDT, Big Japan, Freedoms and K-DOJO. Dick Togo will also be involved as his global retirement tour stops by the United States during December. Togo returns to the infamous Asylum Arena for the first time since the Chikara King Of Trios weekend back in April. KUDO will be one of DDT’s representatives, the most important one if he is still the KO-D Openweight Champion by the time the show takes place, and will be the one facing Togo in the former ECW Arena. Danshoku Dino is the only other DDT wrestler confirmed for the show so far. Kengo Mashimo from K-DOJO and Takashi Sasaki & Kamui from Freedoms will also be wrestling at the show.

El Generico Vs Dick Togo

One week later, Dick Togo will travel to Reseda, California for a highly anticipated Pro Wrestling Guerrilla event. While all the attention for this show is on the return of Super Dragon, the big highlight of the undercard is Togo’s clash with the current DDT Extreme Champion, El Generico.

1. Kazuki Hirata Vs Hiroshi Fukuda
2. Tanomusaku Toba Vs Kotaro Nasu

4. Madoka Vs Kengo Mashimo
5. Shuji Ishikawa Vs Takaku Fuke
6. KUDO & Kenny Omega Vs HARASHIMA & Mitsuya Nagai
7. Hikaru Sato Vs Daisuke Sekimoto

Hard Hit evens sort of lean more towards the kind of wrestling matches you would find in old shoot-style promotions such as UWF-I. Hard Hit matches can be won via pinfall, submission, knockout, disqualification and count out. There is also a points system in place that can determine when matches can end by TKO. In singles matches both wrestlers begin the match with 5 points each. For tag team bouts both teams start off with 8 points each. A wrestler loses a point when he is knocked down or uses a rope break. He also loses a point if he is called for a foul more than once. When a wrestler’s points tally reaches zero, he automatically loses the fight by TKO.

3. Special Tag Match: Kenny Omega & HARASHIMA Vs Minoru & Koji Kanemoto
4. KO-D Openweight Title: KUDO (c) Vs Masa Takanashi

Masa Takanashi finds himself in the same main event spot Hikaru Sato was in this time last year. The 2010 “OSAKA BAY BLUES SPECIAL” show had Sato become the KO-D Openweight Champion in dramatic fashion, defeating HARASHIMA and halting his KO-D Title run that began at Sumo Hall. Takanashi can repeat the same achievement when he goes up against the champion KUDO.

Kenny Omega’s first challenger for the AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Title has been confirmed to be Minoru, a supernova of the Japanese Jr. Heavyweight scene. Their title match will take place in DDT, which I’ll get to below. But before that match happens, Kenny will be teaming up with HARASHIMA to take on the Junior Stars of Minoru & Koji Kanemoto in Osaka on 6/11.

A correction for the match involving the Kasu Rachoresu Mental Health duo of Yoshiaki Yago & Madoka with the oriental couple BENTEN & Miyako. It turns out that Yago will not be facing BENTEN but will in fact have some sort of match against Miyako! BENTEN will be in Miyako’s corner while Yago will have his “Good Nurse” Madoka by his side for the bout.

AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Kenny Omega defeated KAI (c) with the Croyt’s Wrath (20:43).
*KAI fails in V3. Kenny Omega becomes the 31st AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion!

A few months back, around the time Kota Ibushi was the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion for New Japan Pro Wrestling, his tag team partner Kenny Omega decided that his goal for 2011 was to go over to All Japan Pro Wrestling and win their Jr. Heavyweight belt. Today he achieved that goal in Sumo Hall, an arena where success had previously eluded him. Kenny defeated the champion KAI after hitting him with the Croyt’s Wrath twice, once from the top rope. Kenny now aims to be the cool champion that All Japan is currently lacking. He already has his first challenger lined up. Minoru has stepped up to grab the first title shot and is someone that Kenny lost to during the AJPW Jr. Heavyweight League that took place just last month. However, Kenny’s response to the challenge was he wanted the title match to take place in DDT.

Several DDT wrestlers attended the show to be in Kenny’s corner for the match. Kota Ibushi, Keisuke Ishii and Michael Nakazawa were there to show support. Also some of them might have also gone along so they could meet the Momoiro Clover Z pop group who were performing during the show.

6. Shuji Ishikawa defeated Yasu Urano with the Splash Mountain (15:58).
7. KO-D Openweight Title: KUDO (c) defeated Hikaru Sato with the Diving Double Knee Drop (18:53).
*V2 for KUDO.

KUDO survives the submission skills of Hikaru Sato to earn V2 in his KO-D Openweight Title reign. His focus now turns over to the 6th November in Osaka for his next title defence. The challenger was determined in a one night Rock, Scissors, Paper tournament. The results of that can be seen below.

Takao Soma had to be taken off the show due to suffering from acute enteritis. This meant Sanshiro Takagi had to fight Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi on his own in a Handicap Lumberjack Death Match. Sanshiro’s lumberjacks for the match were Yomiko Hotta, Shigehiro Irie, Ken Ohka and DJ Nira. The Homoiro Clover Z lumberjacks were Kazuki Hirata, Hiroshi Fukuda, Akito and an unnamed non-wrestling member of DDT’s staff. Despite the disadvantage in numbers, Takagi was able to overcome the odds and he pinned Oishi to win the match.

Some new moves were shown by a few wrestlers tonight. MIKAMI won with a cross arm submission hold he calls Oh Lefevre while Antonio Honda won the Hardcore 4 Way match with the Diving Daikon Drop, which might just be the Diving Fist Drop with a new name.

14. Semi Final: Kota Ibushi defeated Danshoku Dino with Rock -> Scissors.
15. Final: Masa Takanashi defeated Kota Ibushi with Scissors -> Paper.

The most “Shiru” wrestler in DDT earns the No. 1 Contendership and will face KUDO for the KO-D Title next month. This will be the second time Masa Takanashi will get to challenge for the KO-D Title. The first time was against Daisuke Sekimoto back in April 2010.

In what could only be described as a miracle, Kota Ibushi did not re-dislocate his shoulder during the dramatic games of Rock, Paper, Scissors. He also took part dressed as DJ Nira for some reason.

3. Isami Kodaka (w/ Rumi Kazama) defeated Hiro Tsumaki with the Isamu Leg (7:01).
4. SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title: Cherry defeated Mio Shirai (c) with the Spring Night Love (5:24).

5. RG defeated Tsuyoshi Kikuchi by DQ when Kikuchi refused to let go of a Boston Crab (10:46).
6. Big Morohashi & Hiroshi Fukuda defeated Ken Ohka & Masao Orihara when Fukuda pinned Ohka with the Perfect Plex (11:04).
7. DDT Extreme Title Contendership – 3 Way: Sanshiro Takagi defeated Shuji Ishikawa and Kengo Ohka when Takagi pinned Ishikawa with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb (18:54).

Sanshiro Takagi now gets a match with El Generico for the DDT Extreme Championship at the “UNION 6TH ANNIVERSARY” show on 22nd November. As champion, El Generico gets to choose the stipulations for the match.

Mio Shirai began to cry after she lost the SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title to Cherry. She was upset that without the title, she no longer had a reason to wrestle in Union anymore. Mio said she enjoyed wrestling in Union and then said goodbye to the fans.

However, later that night Big Morohashi & Hiroshi Fukuda defeated Ken Ohka & Masao Orihara with Fukuda getting his first pinfall victory in Union. After the match, Orihara began choking and stomping Ohka out of frustration. Mio returned to ringside to protect Ohka from Orihara. Right there, she found her reason to stay with Union. After all, Mio is still Ohka’s “Master” and only she gets to mistreat him. Orihara and Morohashi were not impressed and they challenged Ohka and Shirai to a tag match for the 6th Anniverary show.

Apparently Tsuyoshi Kikuchi originally beat RG with a Boston Crab but did not let go of the hold when the match ended, so the referee reversed the decision and disqualified him.

Before Match #3 could begin Hiro Tsumaki hit a Quebrada onto Isami Kodaka right before he was about to enter the ring. The two had a match that was described as a slugfest.

Yoshiaki Yago and Madoka did the DX entrance in nurse outfits for their match. The reason is because the Susan Guard had now disbanded and in its place would be a new group called the Kasu Rachoresu Mental Health. Yago, Madoka & Kengo Ohka declared that they will treat the sickness that exists in the wrestling world.

A bunch of names from Union’s past will show up for the 6th Anniversary show at Shinjuku FACE. They include Kazuhiko Ogasawara, A. YAZAWA, Mecha Mummy Lite, Poison Sawada, Sister Akiko, Takeshi Minamino, Ryu Gouma, Chou-un Shiryu and Apple Miyuki.

The main event for Cherry’s “FANTASY ILLUSION 5” at Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 13th November was announced. Cherry better be ready for the fight of her life as she will take on Aja Kong!
