Three Total Worlds, New Year’s Eve, Whose Anniversary Is It Anyway?

June 28, 2012

A press conference was held in Dropkick Bar today to announce a list of different shows taking place in Hakata Star Lanes on 16th December. Sanshiro Takagi was in attendence representing DDT along with Big Japan owner Eiji Tosaka and TAKA Michinoku of K-DOJO. Together they announced that on that day, Big Japan will host a show in the morning, DDT will hold a show in the afternoon and K-DOJO will put on a show in the evening. The series of shows will be held under the title of “Three Total Worlds”.

TAKA then invited K-DOJO wrestler Shiori Asahi into the room. TAKA said that this year will be Asahi’s 10th year in the wrestling business and that he should choose where the ring should be set up inside Hakata Star Lanes. Asahi suggested that they should set up two wrestling rings side by side. He believed that all three promotions are creative enough to come up with good ideas for matches involving two rings. TAKA then pointed out that this year will also be K-DOJO’s 10th Anniversary, which will make this show be even more special.

The talk soon turned to the annual New Year’s Eve show in Korakuen Hall. However, Takagi didn’t seem so eager to participate in this year’s event. He said that they have been doing the show for seven years straight and he has not been able to celebrate the holiday with his family ever since. Tosaka on the other hand said he is looking forward to doing it again. He also said it will be in time for either the 17th or 18th Anniversary of Big Japan. He couldn’t remember which one it was. It was also pointed out that this year is the 40th Anniversary of both New Japan and All Japan. Takagi then remembered that Korakuen Hall celebrated its 50th Anniversary this year too. And just when you think that was all there was to celebrate, Tosaka calculated that if you combine all of the participating promotions’ anniversaries, it adds up to 100 years. So it was decided that the New Year’s Eve show will be held to celebrate the combined 100 year Anniversary of Korakuen Hall and all of the participating promotions. If the double ring idea works in Hakata, they might repeat the concept in Korakuen.

Ohka took out a pair of scissors and placed them up to the fringe of his hair. He said he was doing this as a display of determination. Ohka told Tosaka he will bet anything in his Hardcore match with Ito. Susan stepped in and proposed that the loser of the match will have to raise a glass of champagne to the winner.

Are you ready to be taken for a ride? Kenny Omega will soon be getting brand new entrance music to replace his popular remix of the “Dr. Wily” theme from Mega Man 2. But fans of his current theme have nothing to worry about as his new song comes straight from Capcom themselves. The song will be produced by ROCK-MEN, a collaborative effort made up of different members from Capcom’s sound team. Last year they released a full album of songs based on tracks several different Mega Man games called “We Are ROCK-MEN!”. The currently untitled song will be used for the first time at the 30/6 DDT show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.
