7. Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie defeated HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano when Irie pinned Urano with the Beast Bomber (18:36).

Shigehiro Irie got another small victory over HARASHIMA on their road to their KO-D Openweight Title match. Amon Tsurumi congratulated Irie on a good performance and said he took another step closer towards superiority. Irie said he will absolutely become superior to HARASHIMA as revenge for HARASHIMA beating his friends. Irie wants to win the title and main event Saitama Super Arena!

The DDT Extreme Title was on the line in a Three Complete Match. The champion Akito and challenger Tomomitsu Matsunaga needed to win three times under different circumstances to get the title. They had to win once by pinfall, once by submission and once by ring out. Matsunaga scored first when Akito tapped out to a Scorpion Deathlock. The score was tied when Akito pinned Matsunaga when he applied an Omoplata and turned it into a pinning manoeuvre. Both wrestlers suffered a ring out when Matsunaga gave Akito the Emerald Frosion from the ring apron to the floor outside. Matsunaga needed a pinfall to win and he came close with the Tommy Bomber but he was also wrestling on a bad knee. Akito soon capitalised and caught him in an Arm Clutch Figure 4 Leg Lock to get the submission victory and complete the three victory conditions. After the match they shook hands and Matsunaga wrapped the belt around Akito’s waist. Akito thanked Matsunaga and described him as DDT’s gatekeeper. He also said he feels a pleasant pressure when defending his title and his goal is to defend the belt in Saitama Super Arena.

LiLiCo’s bodyguard Bernard Ackah made easy work out of Kazuki Hirata. After the match Sanshiro Takagi picked up an unconscious Hirata and said Hirata demands a rematch at Korakuen Hall! Amon Tsurumi stepped in and said Hirata is obviously knocked out and Takagi was being unreasonable. Ackah then challenged Takagi to a match at Korakuen. The match was accepted and it was confirmed that LiLiCo will be in attendence with the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title.

Four wrestlers passed the Golden☆Storm Riders strict reviews to qualify for their new member audition. DJ Nira, Shun Miyatake, Gota Ihashi & Shunma Katsumata had to wrestle Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki in their first audition. Anyone defeated in the match would be eliminated from the contest but whoever won the match would automatically qualify for the final at the 23/12 Korakuen Hall show. The match was suddenly interrupted when “Subconscious” played over the speakers. However it wasn’t Shinsuke Nakamura, instead it was Chinsuke Nakamura! Chinsuke entered the ring carrying a cardboard IWGP Intercontinental Championship belt and caused the match to fall apart when he hit the referee with the Boma Ye. Amon Tsurumi sarcastically asked if Chinsuke sent in a resume but he was instantly accepted by Ibushi & Sasaki! Chinsuke has qualified for the final audition. He then held the cardboard title up and had a face off with Ibushi. Iyaao!

Michael Nakazawa congratulated Saki Akai on winning the Best Rookie category in this year’s Tokyo Sports Awards. However he insisted he could defeat the “two beasts” Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi on his own. The bell rang and then four seconds later the bell rang again as Owashi pinned Nakazawa with a Big Boot. Nakazawa accepted the loss and said his goodbyes to the Kasukabe audience but Akai slapped him across the face and demanded the match to restart. Nakazawa had little motivation to do the rematch and it showed in his weak attacks. He just wanted the match to end so he could move to Singapore. Suddenly a bunch of people including Shun Miyatake, Daisuke Kiso, Mic Inoue, members of the TV crew and even a Weekly-Pro Wrestling reporter handed Nakazawa their underwear. Nakazawa’s motivation skyrocketed and the underwear powered him up until Takagi and Owashi attacked him. Nakazawa urged Akai to pick up the underwear and unleash a Spirit Bomb on her opponents as he held them back! She reluctantly did the Spirit Bomb but her targets moved out of the way. Nakazawa took the blow and was then pinned with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb.

None of the championship belts were at the show because they were accidentaly packed into the boxes of merchandise being sent to Hakata for tomorrow’s event there. Amon Tsurumi took off his afro and bowed as an apology to the crowd.

1. Kota Umeda defeated Koju Iwasaki with a High Kick (5:01).
2. 3 Way Match: Masa Takanashi defeated Tomoya Kawamura and Rion Mizuki when Takanashi pinned both Kawamura and Mizuki with a Double Backslide Pin (8:39).
3. Kota Ibushi & Kazuki Hirata defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Shunma Katsumata when Ibushi pinned Katsumata with the Sit Down Last Ride (12:30).
4. Isami Kodaka Vs Makoto Oishi ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
5. HARASHIMA, Akito, Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo defeated KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi, Keisuke Ishii & Soma Takao when Akito pinned Takao after HARASHIMA did the Somato (17:41).

All of the wrestlers appeared wearing pyjamas during the show’s opening ceremony. Several of them had stuffed toys or pillows with them.

Hiroshi Fukuda made an unexpected appearance after the main event wearing a white suit. Because he is still recovering from his shoulder injury, he felt he should make it up to the audience by singing “Christmas Eve” by Tatsuro Yamashita.

The finish in the main event saw Soma Takao hitting the Gian And Tonic on Akito. But as the pin was being counted, HARASHIMA hit the Somato from out of nowhere and Akito got the three count on Takao instead.

Isami Kodaka was seconds away from submitting Makoto Oishi with a Modified Armbar but the time expired.

Kazuki Hirata got Kota Ibushi participate with his dancing after they won their match. Ibushi just clapped along and did a backflip at the end.

Kota Umeda scored the first victory of his career in the opener.

Wrestlers from around the scene gathered together to celebrate the late Koichiro Kimura who passed away in October. The main event saw Sanshiro Takagi, NOSOWA Rongai & MIKAMI taking on Takashi Sasaki, GENTARO & Tomohiko Hashimoto. Takagi got the pinfall and took the microphone afterwards. He thanked everyone for putting the show together and said Kimura is now watching his friends from heaven. Kazunori Yoshida of Eagle Wrestling announced another tribute show to be held in Tatebayashi Citizen Gymnasium on March 13th next year. MIKAMI gathered everyone in the ring for a commemorative group photo with Kimura’s portrait to close out the show.

The semi-main event was centred around UWF as all four fighters entered to the UWF theme song.

The Battle Royal was originally scheduled to feature 10 wrestlers but it turned out there was a few extra entries in store. One of them was Poison Sawada JULIE coming out of retirement for one night only. Sawada used his Snake Magic to eliminate a couple of wrestlers but his powers wouldn’t work on Kazuhiko Ogasawara. Kintaro Kanemura went on a hot streak when he eliminated Gorgeous Matsuno with the Blast Yama Special and then won by pinning Rikiya Fudo with a Small Package.

Former DDT referee Megumi Grace Asano was the special official for some of the matches.

6. Yasu Urano defeated Makoto Oishi with a Small Package (14:10).
7. 3 Way Match: HARASHIMA & Akito defeated Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie and Daisuke Sasaki & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when HARASHIMA pinned Sasaki with the Somato (14:56).

The two DDT singles champions were a successful force in the main event but their respective challengers reminded them that they are threats to their titles. Akito and Tomomitsu Matsunaga brawled outside the ring while HARASHIMA and Shigehiro Irie got stuck in. The four wrestlers had to be kept apart after the match.

Shuten-dōji scored a win over Happy Motel but Konosuke Takeshita created more tension between the two sides afterwards. Takeshita dared KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi to take his KO-D Tag Team Title belt away from him. He and Sakaguchi had a stare down and had to be separated. Shuten-dōji then had an early toast for when they win the titles.

Michael Nakazawa recognises Shun Miyatake as his successor when he leaves for Singapore next year. To prove it Miyatake fought like Nakazawa during their match right down to stripping off his trunks and wrestling in a thong. Miyatake regretted doing so as it was cold in the arena. Nakazawa however embraced it and went for the Ultimate Venom Arm. Miyatake countered it into a Cradle and got the victory. After the match Nakazawa took out another pair of underwear and offered it to Miyatake. According to Nakazawa it was the underwear he wore in his first ever wrestling match. Miyatake declined them and apologised before leaving.

DJ Nira was very ill during his match with Masa Takanashi. Nira had to be stretchered out from the locker room to the ring on a tatami mat and barely had the strength to stand. However, Nira’s constant fainting inadvertantly made him dodge many of Takanashi’s attacks. Nira yelled he was done pretending and the warm-up was over, then fainted again. Takanashi and referee Daisuke Kiso lifted Nira up off the mat but Nira slipped away from Takanashi’s grip and was accidentally Power Bombed by Kiso! Takanashi got the pin and Nira was placed on the tatami mat to be stretchered back to the locker room.

Gota Ihashi stole Kazuki Hirata’s thunder by doing the Magnum TOKYO entrance and wearing the Magnum mask. A pissed off Hirata later yelled “That’s my dance!” while hammering Ihashi with Elbow Strikes. Hirata got some measure of revenge when he pinned Ihashi with the Sliding Kick.

Mitomi Masayuki Suspended, Michael Nakazawa Holiday Countdown

Mitomi Masayuki has been suspended from all Union and DDT related activity for 60 days starting from 6th December. Masayuki got in trouble after insulting DDT’s female fans on Twitter while promoting the upcoming BOYZ event being held later this month. Since BOYZ is marketed exclusively to women you can see that was a very stupid move on his part. As is usually the case, the tweets have since been deleted. Masayuki has apologised and the DDT website says he will reflect deeply on what he has done. Again, the usual stuff you hear when somebody gets into trouble.

Michael Nakazawa To Leave DDT

Michael Nakazawa announced today that he will soon leave DDT. He will be emigrating to Singapore in January next year to become a Japanese and English speaking instructor for a gym. However he will return for one final match in DDT when they run the Saitama Super Arena in February. Nakazawa decided it is a good business opportunity for him as he approaches turning 40 years old. However he is saying nothing in regards to actually retiring from pro wrestling. In fact he may get to be involved with any plans DDT has to expand into Singapore next year. Nakazawa’s final match will be against Danshoku Dino in a special match between the two.
