0. Dark Match – Mask Contra Mask: M Samurai Vs M.Samurai
1. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Hikaru Sato & Yukio Sakaguchi (c) Vs Yuji Hino & Hoshitango

The Monster Army’s big guns are the first team to go after Hikaru Sato & Yukio Sakaguchi for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

A fake M Samurai is on the loose! Kazuki Hirata had his own custom made El Samurai mask when he joined the Samurai Sentai Samurai Rangers but it went missing and he had to wear a plastic bag with the mask drawn on it over his head ever since. The mask was last seen worn by Samurai TV! personality Miki Motoi but that is no guarantee she is the person Hirata will fight in the Mask Contra Mask dark match.

Cruiser’s Game presents the TOP OF THE DRAMATIC CRUISER one night tournament to celebrate the history of Jr. Heavyweight wrestling. A grand prize of ¥500,000 will be rewarded to the winner. The eight participants were announced today. They are:

Tatsuhito Takaiwa
(2000 Best of the Super Jr. winner, 38th IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, 4th IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champion, 2nd & 12th GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion)

Tatsuhito Takaiwa has wrestled at three previous Cruiser’s Game shows and is a good friend of MIKAMI away from the ring.

El Samurai
(1997 Best of the Super Jr. winner, 19th & 30th IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, 3rd, 16th & 25th IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champion, 4th J-Crown Champion)

El Samurai is a stalwart of Jr. Heavyweight wrestling. MIKAMI thinks he is a perfect fit for the tournament in both talent and name value.

Katsumi Usuda
(Super J Cup 3rd STAGE participant, 2000 Best of the Super Jr. participant, 3rd & 5th Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Champion)

Katsumi Usuda probably has the most unique style of wrestling in the tournament. MIKAMI added him to spice things up.

Onryo
(Super J Cup 3rd STAGE participant, 39th UWA World Middleweight Champion)

MIKAMI has a long relationship with Onryo and considers him one of his main rivals.

Kikutaro
(Super J Cup 4th STAGE Special Attraction, 2003 Best of the Super Jr. participant)

Kikutaro is a longtime friend of MIKAMI’s, going back to when they were both young wrestlers unknown to the fans.

Marines Mask
(11th Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Champion)

MIKAMI wanted someone with Marines Mask’s charm to be in the tournament, so here he is.

Masa Takanashi
(40th KO-D Openweight Champion, 36th UWA World 6-Man Tag Champion)

MIKAMI has kept an eye on Masa Takanashi ever since his debut. He thinks Masa’s wrestling style is perfect for Cruiser’s Game and expects him to deliver some great performances in the tournament.

MIKAMI
(Super J Cup 4th STAGE Special Attraction, 8th & 14th KO-D Openweight Champion)

Naturally, MIKAMI thinks he is going to win the tournament.

0. Battle Pink Ryota defeated Super Mask Man with a 450 plash (6:28).
1. Makoto Oishi, Tsutomu Oosugi & Hercules Senga defeated KUDO, Yuki Sato & Madoka when Oishi pinned Sato with the Miracle Ecstasy (11:02).
2. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi defeated Tanomusaku Toba with a Single Leg Crab (9:42).
3. HERO! & Marines Mask defeated Darkside HERO! & Cosmo ☆ Soldier when HERO! pinned Darkside HERO! with the HERO! Driver (12:24).
4. El Samurai defeated Natsuki☆Taiyo with a Chickenwing Armlock (9:03).
5. Dick Togo & TAKA Michinoku defeated The Great Sasuke & MIKAMI when Togo pinned MIKAMI with the Diving Senton (20:58).

This was the tenth Cruiser’s Game show to take place since its creation in 2005.

Apparently the Great Sasuke earned the nickname “Lord Weird Uncle” after this show.

Tanomusaku Toba suffered a broken nose in his match against Tsuyoshi Kikuchi. I think the injury happened from a stiff Kikuchi Elbow Smash. He has pulled out of Keisuke Ishii’s Produce Show set to be held later today.

The DDT roster set up a flea market where they sold loads of different merchandise throughout the three shows. Danshoku Dino was willing to bargain with fans if they would put themselves into a “strong position”. Cherry meanwhile set up a Nico Nico Curry stall.

6. KO-D Tag Team Title: GENTARO & Yasu Urano Vs KUDO & Makoto Oishi

Due to GENTARO & Yasu Urano recently becoming the KO-D Tag Team Champions, their match against KUDO & Makoto Oishi has been upgraded into a title defence.

5. HERO! & Marines Mask Vs Darkside HERO! & Cosmo ☆ Soldier
6. The Great Sasuke & MIKAMI Vs Dick Togo & TAKA Michinoku

This isn’t the first time HERO! and Darkside HERO! will fight against each other. They were on opposide sides in a Tag match during last year’s DISASTER-BOX show during Beer Garden week. HARASHIMA was HERO! but I don’t know who played the Darkside version in that match.

Cosmo ☆ Soldier is said to come from Super ☆ China Pro Wrestling. Could it be Choun-Shiryu under another gimmick? We’ll see.

New Matches for Cruiser’s Game, Ishii’s Show

1. El Samurai Vs Natsuki☆Taiyo
2. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi Vs Tanomusaku Toba
3. Battle Pink Ryota Vs Super Mask Man
4. Dick Togo & TAKA Michinoku Vs The Great Sasuke & MIKAMI

Battle Pink Ryota and Super Mask Man come from the SWS promotion which is run by students from Teikyo University in Tokyo. For anyone interested in seeing the fed in action, their Youtube channel can be found here.

Natsuki☆Taiyo is a female wrestler who is currently with the new STARDOM joshi promotion. She is also a two time Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion.

Other wrestlers scheduled to compete on the show include the return of HARASHIMA’s old gimmick HERO!, Marines Mask II, Cosmo ☆ Soldier, Makoto Oishi, Madoka and Yuki Sato.

2. Tanomusaku Toba & Hikaru Sato Vs Kazuki Hirata & Hiro Tsumaki
3. Kota Ibushi & KUDO Vs HARASHIMA & Yukihiro Abe
4. 1990s Foreigner Royal Rumble
5. Keisuke Ishii Vs Takao Omori

All of the matches were decided by Keisuke Ishii himself. There will also be a dark match featuring fighters from Style-E. The 1990s Foreigner Rumble sounds like a lot of fun if it turns out to be the DDT roster impersonating different wrestlers from that time period. Unless I got the translation wrong and Keisuke somehow found himself 90 different foreign wrestlers to take part in the match (simply having Kenny Omega, Hoshitango and Choun-Shiryu entering 30 times each doesn’t count).

More Shows Coming Up

4. Dick Togo & Kazuki Hirata Vs HARASHIMA & KUDO
5. Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi Vs Kota Ibushi & Keisuke Ishii
6. KO-D Tag Team Title: Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki (c) Vs GENTARO & Yasu Urano

GENTARO & Yasu Urano have been on a four match winning streak as a Tag Team since their last KO-D Tag Team Title shot against FROM THE NORTHERN COUNTRY. Meanwhile, Antonio Honda lost the KO-D Title Unification match while Daisuke Sasaki has been on the losing end of Tag matches against the GRANMA group. Does the team of GENTARO and Urano have enough momentum to unseat the champions and become the top duo in DDT?

6. No DQ Hair Vs Hair Match: Hikaru Sato Vs Takao Soma
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Dick Togo (c) Vs HARASHIMA

Four months until Dick Togo calls time on his wrestling career. There are three KO-D Openweight Title defences planned between now and then with Togo retiring a month before the Sumo Hall show. Togo’s next defence is against HARASHIMA, who is gets his first chance at the title since losing it back in November.

No interference is allowed for the Hair Vs Hair match between Hikaru Sato and Takao Soma. We’ll see how Soma fares without having the rest of the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation there to help him.

I may be wrong on the translation, but I think the winner of the Battle Royal will get to make his own match for this year’s Sumo Hall event. More entries will be announced eventually.

I have high hopes for Kota Ibushi Vs Shigehiro Irie, this could be a really fun match. Irie has been honing his skills while fighting for TKG48 in their feud with the Union Sekigun and a win against Ibushi would do wonders for his career.

A correction on one of the results from “NEVER MIND 2010“. The Shit Heart ♥ Foundation Vs DISASTER-BOX trios match was only for the UWA World Trios Title, which DISASTER-BOX won. The Jiyugaoka Six Man Tag Team Titles and Nihonkai Six Man Tag Team Titles are still in the hands of Michael Nakazawa, Hikaru Sato & Tomimitsu Matsunaga. With Toru Owashi now possibly done with DDT for the time being it is unknown what will happen to the UWA Titles.
