1. Daisuke Sasaki & Suguru Miyatake defeated Yasu Urano & Ryota Nakatsu when Sasaki pinned Nakatsu with the Vietnam Driver II (12:19).
2. Joey Ryan defeated Tomomitsu Matsunaga with the Super Kick (9:50).
3. Antonio Honda, Tetsuya Endo & Kouki Iwasaki defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Eno pinned Hirata with the Sky Twister Press (14:20).
4. Makoto Oishi defeated Danshoku Dino with the Jikiden Tornado Clutch (10:38).
5. Akito defeated Masa Takanashi with the Triangle Scorpion (15:05).
6. Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao defeated Yukio Sakaguchi, HARASHIMA & Konosuke Takeshita when Takao pinned Takeshita with the Gin And Tonic (18:36).

Kota Ibushi was taken off the show due to being in a poor physical condition according to DDT’s website. Several matches were changed in the last minute because of this. The new main event had Team Drift take on Yukio Sakaguchi, HARASHIMA & Konosuke Takeshita in a non-title match. Soma Takao picked up the win when Takeshita was hit by Shigehiro Irie’s Beast Bomber, Keisuke Ishii’s Kneel Kick and Soma’s Gin And Tonic one after the other. After the match Soma said Team Drift is even more stronger than people think.

The show turned out to be a small homecoming for Danshoku Dino who is from the Hiroshima Prefecture. Dino tried to be on his best behaviour and resisted his Danshoku urges during his match with Makoto Oishi. However everybody from the fans to the wrestlers to the staff backstage wanted Dino to be himself. Amon Tsurumi even bared his ass to encourage Dino. Dino came to his senses and gave Oishi the Danshoku Driver but only got a two count. Oishi caught Dino by surprise with the Tornado Clutch for the flash pin to put a damper on Dino’s homecoming.

Joey Ryan is going to fit in with DDT just fine. Introduced as an “American Indie Super Heavyweight”, Ryan entered his match with a lollipop in his mouth and lotion on his chest. He also kept a lollipop under his tights. He forced the lolly into Tomomitsu Matsunaga’s mouth and then Super Kicked him for the win.

KUDO Out With ACL Injury

Really bad news for KUDO this week as he has severely damaged his right ACL and is expected to be out of action for around one year. He has said that although some wrestlers are able to continue competing without an ACL, he cannot do the same due to his fighting style so he will have surgery to reconstruct his ACL. KUDO has removed himself from the DDT Dramatic General Election and encourages his fans to vote for the other members of Shuten-dōji instead. The following cards have been changed due to KUDO’s absence.

Shuji Ishikawa Vs Seiya Morohashi is now a Last Man Standing match. This is the kind of pro wrestling where friends who care for one another beat the crap out of each other to prove it.

The Fly To Everywhere Title match between Aoi Kizuki and Cherry will be Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls with each fall having a special rule. The first fall is a 3 Way Match with Miyako Matsumoto also included. Whoever beats Matsumoto first will win the fall. The 2nd fall is a Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match with A.YAZAWA as the special guest referee. If needed, the 3rd and final fall will be a Total 3 Count match. The best I can describe the rule is if you pin your opponent for a two count then your next pin only needs a one count to win. If you pin and get a one count then the next pin needs a two count to win. I’m not entirely sure if three one counts is enough to win or if the amount needed is only based on the previous pin. But the intention here is pinning the opponent for three seconds in total just not necessarily in a row.

This will be Mio Shirai’s final match in Union before she retires on 20th September. Shirai has chosen Kyoko Kimura to be GENTARO’s partner in the match.

Ryu Gouma has admitted defeat in his quest to learn Karate in order to beat Hiroshi Fukuda’s Judo. This last match is not Judo Vs Karate, but American Vs Lawyer.

Ken Ohka said his team will beat Fujita’s team and they will rehabilitate Fujita out of his bad attitude.

Ganbare☆Wrestling is bringing in a surprise name for this show. The “Real Tiger Mask” Shuichiro Katsumura will wrestle in Ganpuro to help turn it into a major sports company. He will team with Hayato Mashita who was his first opponent in his debut pro wrestling match.

Yumehito Imanari was told that his design of Ganpuro’s new logo plagiarises the logo of the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. Imanari still denies the claim and even went as far as to print up T-shrts of the new logo to sell at the show. It is too late for Ganpuro to cancel the order so they have no other choice but to sell the shirts once they arrive.

Ken Ohka has wished Kana good luck on her move to WWE. Kana wrestled a match in Ganpuro back in February. She has inspired Ohka to give back to wrestling and for Ganpuro to do its best in Japan while she does the same in America.

#OhkaEmpire have impressed and annoyed Team Drift enough to get a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles shot. Danshoku Dino pinned both Keisuke Ishii and Soma Takao yesterday while Ken Ohka is constantly standing up to Shigehiro Irie despite coming off the worse for wear in every encounter. The one wild card is Super Sasadango Machine. He had a secret plan yesterday that he was unable to use because he was quickly eliminated. The upcoming rematch gives him another chance to use it if he wishes.

A successful first KO-D Tag Team Title defence left Daisuke Sasaki feeling well pleased with himself. Winning the match with his new Vietnam Driver II finisher, Sasaki declared himself “Earth’s Strongest Man” to go along with him and Kota Ibushi being “Earth’s Strongest Tag Team”. Yukio Sakaguchi came out and confronted Sasaki in the ring. He nominated Sasaki as the No. 1 Contender for his KO-D Openweight Title. Sakaguchi chose Sasaki because Sasaki pinned him in Saitama last week. He admitted Sasaki has a lot of momentum behind him but he can take that away.

The Four Corners Four Items match had Antonio Honda and Yasu Urano fighting each other with bras, a coal miner’s glove, a rubber training band and a wig. Honda was happy to wear a bra while wrestling but Urano was the opposite. He was physically forced to wear the bra by Honda. After Honda won he told Urano when he learns to accept the bra only then can he win the championship.

Team Drift and #OhkaEmpire fought in what was supposed to be the final match between the two but instead had something extra on the line. If #OhkaEmpire won then they would get a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title shot. It was elimination rules and Super Sasadango Machine had a secret strategy ready to go. He was quickly pinned and eliminated before he could get the plan going. Danshoku Dino turned the tables on Drift and eliminated both Keisuke Ishii and Soma Takao. But he too was eliminated when Shigehiro Irie knocked him out of the ring. Ken Ohka was all that was left and Irie pinned him with the Beast Bomber to win the match. Despite being on the winning team, Ishii was not happy that he was pinned by Dino and he offered a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title match to #OhkaEmpire so they can settle their feud once and for all. For real this time.

At the end of the show Sanshiro Takagi gathered all the wrestlers into the ring for a motivational speech to promote DDT’s venture into the main Osaka Edion Arena on 28th November. Kendo Kashin was announced to participate on the show.

In a match that will get both late era WCW fans salivating, the DDT Extreme Title is on the line in a four corner pole match. A different item hangs in a bag from each of the poles. It’s been confirmed that two of the bags will contain a bra and a cole miner’s glove.

Hiroshi Fukuda is bringing along Yoshihiko to Osaka. His match with Masa Takanashi is now a 2-on-1 Handicap Match.

Before Shuji Ishikawa faces Isami Kodaka for the Union MAX Title, he takes Seiya Morohashi. Despite being a mainstay of Union, Morohashi was not part of the original group that jumped from DDT when the brand formed back in 2005. Morohashi instead joined a few years later. Ishikawa is proud of Morohashi’s time in Union. He brought up one time when he fell ill and had to pull out of a match. Morohashi took his place at the last minute and gave a physically intense performance. I bet the match he is talking about is Morohashi Vs Shigehiro Irie from July 2012. Ishikawa wants to thank Morohashi for always being there for Union.

Mio Shirai has requested GENTARO’s tag partner to be a female wrestler.

6a. Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki eliminated HARASHIMA & Akito when Sasaki pinned Akito with the Sasaki Hurricanrana (10:35).
6b. Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki eliminated Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi when Sasaki pinned Sakaguchi with the Vietnam Driver II (14:49).
6c. Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo eliminated Kota Ibushi & Daisuke Sasaki when Endo pinned Sasaki with the Sky Twister Press (17:41).

Quite a bit happened in the main event. Daisuke Sasaki wrestled in Vietnam for Dick Togo’s New Vietnam Pro Wrestling earlier this week and came back with a new finishing move. The first victim of the Vietnam Driver II was none other than the KO-D Openweight Champion, Yukio Sakaguchi! The Golden☆Storm Riders eliminated two teams but lost the match to their next challengers, Happy Motels.

Danshoku Dino was worried about having to face Shigehiro Irie without any backup. Super Sasadango Machine was not in attendance. Ken Ohka made a surprise appearance and stood in Dino’s corner. He tried to interfere in the match but Speared Dino by accident! Irie hit a Spear of his own and pinned Dino. Team Drift and #OhkaEmpire will have a 6-Man Tag Team Elimination match on 13th September to settle their feud.

Yasu Urano pinned Antonio Honda, earning a DDT Extreme Title shot in the process. Honda decided they will fight in a Four Corners Four Items Death Match. A pole with an item attached will be in every corner of the ring. Honda revealed two of the items: a coal miner’s glove and a bra.

Gota Ihashi kept trying to interfere to help his Pigging 2015 team mates in Match #2. Sanshiro Takagi cut him off with Rider Kicks over and over. However, Ihashi took off his tights, handed them to Saki Akai and told her to smother Kazuki Hirata with them. She did so and it worked! After the match Takagi and Ihashi had to be held apart. A King Of Dark Title match between the two was booked for 27th September.

2. 6-Man Tag Team Anywhere Second Wear Pool Death Match: Kazusada Higuchi, Ryota Nakatsu & Suguru Miyatake defeated Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Kouki Iwasaki & SAGAT when Higuchi threw SAGAT into the pool with the Outsider’s Edge (18:57).
3. Hiroshi Fukuda defeated Shunma Katsumata with a Stone Cold Stunner (8:22).
4. Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie defeated Makoto Oishi & Akito when Irie pinned Oishi with the Beast Bomber (12:04).
5. Bonus Track – Reverse Over The Top Rope Battle Royal: Dai Suzuki defeated Shunma Katsumata by Ring In (4:04).
Other Competitors: Kazusada Higuchi, Ryota Nakatsu, Suguru Miyatake, Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Kouki Iwasaki, SAGAT, Hiroshi Fukuda, Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie, Makoto Oishi and Akito.

For the second time in a few months a few DDT wrestlers held a special midnight show at an outdoor park in Shin-kiba to celebrate the end of summer. There was a match where you had to thrown an opponent into the pool to win. There was also a bonus TNA style Reverse Battle Royal. Wrestlers were eliminated when they were thrown into the ring! Dai Suzuki won even though he had not wrestled at all on the show until that match.
