The war between Union and Ganbare☆Wrestling heats up in Miyagi with two matches booked between the two promotions. Mitomi Masayuki admits he is in a complex position because his next match is personal. Masayuki went to the same university as his opponent Yumehito Imanari. Masayuki was a first year student while Imanari was a senior when they were both in the college wrestling club. Back then Imanari wrestled under the name Sakuragaoka Kinteki and Masayuki remembered how much he wanted to become a pro wrestler despite suffering many setbacks. However, Masayuki believes that Imanari is not the person he used to know thanks to Ganbare☆Wrestling. He called Ganpuro a vanity project and he will show Imanari what he lacks as a pro wrestler. Imanari’s response was the wrestling ring is just a square and he asked what will Masayuki do when he takes the fight outside of the square. If Masayuki can only wrestle inside the sqaure then Imanari will end him on the 23rd.

The press conference for the show was literally crashed by Ken Ohka, who arrived late, entered the room on a bicycle and cycled into Seiya Morohashi. Imanari then attacked Morohashi and held him in place so Ohka could cycle into him again.

There was also a discussion about the Fly To Everywhere Title match. The champion Cherry was in attendance but Mio Shirai was unable to appear due to other commitments. So she was represented by a person holding a drawing of a fox in front of their face. “Mio” praised Cherry for being strong, youthful and always shining. “She” asked how to make “her” ageing face look as youthful and Cherry said “she” needed heavy make up. Cherry also brought up the Age Contra Makeup match she and Shirai were supposed to have in May 2012. Shirai wound up getting injured before the match and had to be replaced my Emi Sakura, who beat Cherry and forced her to finally reveal her true date of birth. Cherry said “Mio” ran away from that match and she still resents her for that.

Tsuyoshi Kikuchi returns to Union after a two year absence. Kikuchi retired from wrestling back in August 2012 due to a serious injury adding to his already poor physical condition. He has since found a job at a training company in Miyagi where he still works to this day. Now recovered and with permission from his boss, Kikuchi promises to return to Union with a blast!

1. Union Withdrawl Contra Mask Match: Seiya Morohashi, Cherry & Masato Shibata Vs Nazo Fukumen A, Nazo Fukumen P & Nazo Fukumen G ended in a draw when Morohashi and Fukumen G both pinned each other with a Double Backslide (7:50).
*Seiya Morohashi withdraws from Union. Nazo Fukumen G is revealed to be Gabaiji-chan.
2. Ryu Gouma Return Match: Ryu Gouma defeated Choun-Shiryu (w/ SAGAT & Cao Zhang) with a Cradle (6:54).
3. Ryuichi Sekine & Kotaro Nasu defeated FUMA & Kazuhiko Ogasawara when Sekine pinned FUMA with the Dragon Rises (10:05).
4. Shuji Ishikawa defeated Daichi Kazato with a Cobra Twist (9:33).
5. Union Fly To Everywhere World Title: Kaori Yoneyama (c) defeated Nazo Fukumen B with a Rolling Reverse Cradle (4:51).
*V1 for Kaori Yoneyama.
6. 6-Man Tag Team Elimination Match: Isami Kodaka, Kengo Ohka & Madoka defeated Kenny Omega, Cao Zhang & Menso~re Oyaji (28:11).
6a. Kenny Omega eliminated Madoka by Ring Out (12:17).
6b. Kengo Ohka and Menso~re Oyaji eliminated each other by Ring Out (21:10).
6c. Isami Kodaka eliminated Kenny Omega by Ring Out (26:23).
6d. Isami Kodaka eliminated Cao Zhang with the Isamu Leg Ki (28:11).

Isami Kodaka challenged Kenny Omega to a DDT Extreme Title match on 3rd May in Korakuen Hall. Nazo Fukumen A & P confronted the two and P said he should get a title shot… on 4th January. P said Union should have one giant match a year just like at Wrestle Kingdom. The Fukumen then attacked Kenny and Isami but were easily defeated.

The Nazo Fukumen also interfered in the Fly To Everywhere Title match. Cherry came to Kaori Yoneyama’s rescue and helped her defend the title. Yoneyama’s next defence will be in a 3 Way Match at the May Korakuen show against both Cherry and Nazo Fukumen B.

FUMA wrestled in a karate gi that was given to him by Kazuhiko Ogasawara.

Ryu Gouma was able to free SAGAT from Choun-Shiryu’s Chinese Vampire spell by feeding him bread. Shiryu has sworn he will get revenge on Gouma at Korakuen Hall and turn him into a Chinese Vampire Lawyer.

The war between Union and the Nazo Fukumen has caused even more casualties. Seiya Morohashi is the latest wrestler forced to withdraw from Union after getting pinned in a Mask Contra Withdrawl match. One of the Fukumen was also pinned and he unmasked. It was old man Gabaiji-chan! Morohashi was given a mini farewell ceremony including a video of his highlights in Union (2009: Morohashi joins Union. 2013: Morohashi withdraws from Union) and a fast 10 bell salute.

Mitomi Masayuki, the rookie who was supposed to debut last month until a traffic accident put him on the shelf announced he is going begin rehabbing the injuries.

1. Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title – Texas Tiger Rope Philadelphia Banana Death Match: Jun Kasai defeated Hiroshi Fukuda (c) (w/ Rumi Kazama & Mame Endo) by eating enough bananas (9:38).
*V4 for Hiroshi Fukuda. Somehow.
2. Gabaiji-chan & SAGAT defeated Goro Jr. & El Hijo del Goro when Gabaiji-chan pinned Goro Jr. with the Choke Slam (12:11).
3. Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match: Menso~re Oyaji defeated A.YAZAWA, Seiya Morohashi and Ryuichi Sekine when Oyaji pinned YAZAWA with the Sewing Feather (8:54).
4. Mio Shirai & Yuko Miyamoto defeated Cherry & Masako Takanashi when Miyamoto pinned Cherry with the Fire Thunder (10:59).
5. Kengo Ohka defeated Hiro Tsumaki with the Shinken (13:21).
6. Shigehiro Irie & Takao Soma defeated Shuji Ishikawa & Ken Ohka when Soma pinned Ohka with the Boma Ye (11:40).
7. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka defeated Keisuke Ishii (c) with the Zan Isamu Leg (18:25).
*Keisuke Ishii fails in V2. Isami Kodaka becomes the 21st DDT Extreme Champion!

The DDT Extreme Title is once again wrapped around the waist of Isami Kodaka. The main event of today’s Union show saw Kodama defeat the champion Keisuke Ishii in a rare traditional singles match for that belt. After Isami’s victory, Ken Ohka took the time to brag about Kodaka winning back the title, asking Ishii why he lost so easily as well as calling him a third-rate wrestler. Ohka then challenged Ishii to a match there and then but Naomi Susan decided to hold off that match until next month.

Jun Kasai defeated Hiroshi Fukuda in the Texas Tiger Rope Philadelphia Banana Death Match. However, he did not win the Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title. According to Fukuda’s rulebook, the Union US Title can only change hands via pinfall or submission and Kasai won the match by eating a banana from all four corners of the ring. Later on, Kasai asked Fukuda what he thinks about America. Fukuda said he wants Japan to become a territory of the United States. When asked why, Fukuda said one of the pros will be bathrooms switching over from Japanese toilets to American toilets. Kasai joked that Keiji Muto has bad knees because of Japanese toilets. He was touched by Fukuda’s answer and since he is also a lover of liberty, Kasai agreed to help out Fukuda’s plan to Americanize the world!

Hiro Tsumaki requested a rematch with Kengo Ohka after he lost to him. Today was also Hiro’s last show wrestling under that name. He wants a new name for a new year. Tsumaki’s new name will be chosen from fan suggestions.

Ryuichi Sekine wrestled the Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match while dressed as Ricky Fuji.

Union has a new rookie signing coming soon! Mitomi Masayuki is 170cm high and weighs 81kg. He has previously wrestled as Go Shiofuki and already made a couple of appearances in DDT under that name.

Ken Ohka set up a flea market outside Shin-Kiba 1st RING before the show. He was selling more than just DDT and Union merchandise, one of the items on sale was a Sega Saturn arcade stick.
