5a. Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title – Rematch: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated MC.33 with the Perfect Plex (5:21).
*V8 for Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi.

With Isami Kodaka away on other business, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi found a suitable opponent to help him prepare for his upcoming Union MAX Title revival match. MC.33 has been showing up at BASARA events whenever Kodaka was absent and this time was no different. Hiroshi even sweetened the deal by putting his Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title medal up for grabs. The unofficial championship hadn’t been seen in years until today. It was an odd main event. Either MC.33 didn’t understand the rules of pro wrestling or he wasn’t taking the match seriously. He kept on bending the rules in silly ways and kicked the referee away whenever he tried to intervene. Eventually he knocked out the referee, which made any pinfalls or submission attempts pointless. Eventually the referee disqualified MC.33 for his antics.

An immediate rematch was agreed upon and the match restarted. This time both competitors quizzed each other with wrestling music trivia as they fought. Whenever a wrestler got their question right they would use a move related to the answer. Which wrestler used “CRASH” as his theme song? MC.33 answered Masahiro Chono then put Hiroshi in the STF. Who used “Spinning Toe Hold”? MC.33 answered the Funks then put Hiroshi in the Spinning Toe Hold. Who uses “CROWN OF WINNER”? MC.33 didn’t know but Hiroshi did. Hiroshi yelled Daisuke Sekimoto’s name then hit a Lariat. MC.33 tried to use the referee as a human shield but the ref hit him with a Lariat too! Hiroshi then gave MC.33 the Perfect Plex to win the match and keep the US Title. He said he doesn’t know who MC.33 is under the mask but on Christmas Day he will beat Kodaka, win the Union MAX Title and leave it next to his Christmas turkey!

4. Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title: HARASHIMA defeated Hiroshi Fukuda with the Somato (8:43).
*V5? for Hiroshi Fukuda due to Shinjuku Kabukicho State Rules.
5. Isami Kodaka, Kota Ibushi & Tetsuya Endo defeated Makoto Oishi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Konosuke Takeshita when Kodaka submitted Oishi with the 419 (14:04).

Hiroshi Fukuda wanted to test himself against the KO-D Champion, HARASHIMA. So he dusted off the Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title for this occasion and challenged HARASHIMA to take it from him. HARASHIMA accepted but before the match began Fukuda said the match would be fought under Shinjuku Kabukicho State Rules. He handed Daisuke Kiso the 18 page official rule book and told him to follow every rule in it. The rules just so happened to protect the champion. For example HARASHIMA wasn’t allowed to run towards Fukuda whenever Fukuda was not standing. This prevented HARASHIMA from doing his Somato finisher. Fukuda knocked down Kiso and grabbed a tambourine to strike HARASHIMA with. But the challenger knocked him down and hit the Somato while Kiso was recovering. When Kiso got his wits back he saw HARASHIMA pinning Fukuda and counted to three. HARASHIMA wins the US Title!

Or so it seemed. At the end of the show, BOYZ principal Johnny Edojima approached HARASHIMA and told him he never gave permission for the US Title to be defended. The title change does not count and HARASHIMA had to give back the US Title (medal) to Fukuda. Due to Shinjuku Kabukicho State Rules this counts as a successful defence for Fukuda. Because why not?

7. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka defeated Keisuke Ishii (c) with the Zan Isamu Leg (18:25).
*Keisuke Ishii fails in V2. Isami Kodaka becomes the 21st DDT Extreme Champion!

The DDT Extreme Title is once again wrapped around the waist of Isami Kodaka. The main event of today’s Union show saw Kodama defeat the champion Keisuke Ishii in a rare traditional singles match for that belt. After Isami’s victory, Ken Ohka took the time to brag about Kodaka winning back the title, asking Ishii why he lost so easily as well as calling him a third-rate wrestler. Ohka then challenged Ishii to a match there and then but Naomi Susan decided to hold off that match until next month.

Jun Kasai defeated Hiroshi Fukuda in the Texas Tiger Rope Philadelphia Banana Death Match. However, he did not win the Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title. According to Fukuda’s rulebook, the Union US Title can only change hands via pinfall or submission and Kasai won the match by eating a banana from all four corners of the ring. Later on, Kasai asked Fukuda what he thinks about America. Fukuda said he wants Japan to become a territory of the United States. When asked why, Fukuda said one of the pros will be bathrooms switching over from Japanese toilets to American toilets. Kasai joked that Keiji Muto has bad knees because of Japanese toilets. He was touched by Fukuda’s answer and since he is also a lover of liberty, Kasai agreed to help out Fukuda’s plan to Americanize the world!

Hiro Tsumaki requested a rematch with Kengo Ohka after he lost to him. Today was also Hiro’s last show wrestling under that name. He wants a new name for a new year. Tsumaki’s new name will be chosen from fan suggestions.

Ryuichi Sekine wrestled the Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match while dressed as Ricky Fuji.

Union has a new rookie signing coming soon! Mitomi Masayuki is 170cm high and weighs 81kg. He has previously wrestled as Go Shiofuki and already made a couple of appearances in DDT under that name.

Ken Ohka set up a flea market outside Shin-Kiba 1st RING before the show. He was selling more than just DDT and Union merchandise, one of the items on sale was a Sega Saturn arcade stick.

5. Hiro Tsumaki Vs Kengo Ohka
6. Shigehiro Irie & Takao Soma Vs Shuji Ishikawa & Ken Ohka
7. DDT Extreme Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) Vs Isami Kodaka

Keisuke Ishii has decided that he will defend the DDT Extreme Title against Isami Kodaka in a normal singles match. Ishii does not want the result to be decided with a cowardly attack involving weapons. He is under the impression that Kodama can only fight in Hardcore matches and does not know how to wrestle properly. Kodama thinks he can beat Ishii in any type of match. He also hopes he will win the belt and go on to fight the “Super Seiyan” Kenny Omega for the upcoming Double Title bout in DDT.

Daichi Kazato is the latest wrestler to be struck down with the flu that has been spreading around Japan the last couple of weeks. Gabaiji-chan the pro wrestling grandpa takes his place in the dark match.

Hiroshi Fukuda will now defend the Union US Title against Jun Kasai in a Texas Tiger Rope Philadelphia Banana Death Match. This is a match of his own creation inspired by Kasai’s monkey tendencies. The Philadelphia connection is from Kasai’s billed hometown while Fukuda himself claims to have grown up in North Carolina. The rules are based on the traditional Four Corner Strap Match with both men connected from the wrist with a tiger rope. However, there will be a bunch of bananas hanging on every corner. The winner will be the first one to eat a banana in every corner before his opponent.

6. HARASHIMA & Hiro Tsumaki defeated Kota Ibushi & Gota Ihashi when Tsumaki pined Ihashi with the Jawbreaker (14:36).
7. Yasu Urano defeated Keisuke Ishii with the Tombstone Piledriver (16:06).

Yasu Urano got the better over Keisuke Ishii again to cap off a good day for Ura-Shima-Kudo. The group also got help in the form of the promising Hiro Tsumaki from Union to side with them during KUDO’s absence. Tsumaki has suggested the stable should rename themselves Ura-Shima-Hiro until KUDO returns. Ishii meanwhile was pissed that he lost to Urano. All of Team Dream Futures swore that next time they will not go easy on Ura-Shima-Hiro and they will drink more milk to get even stronger.

Hiro Tsumaki has named his Savate Kick finisher the Jawbreaker.

Hiroshi Fukuda presented referee Daisuke Kiso with the official rule book used for Yokohama wrestling matches before he squared off with Sanshiro Takagi for the Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title. When the match began, Takagi immediately hit the Stunner and pinned Fukuda. However, the match had to restart because Article #28 of the rules said that US Title matches in Yokohama must begin with a lockup. Takagi then quickly submitted Fukuda but Article #165 says that submissions in Yokohama are invalid. Third time around, Fukuda was counted out after Takagi Suplexed him outside the ring but Article #4 says that a 20 count must be used, so the match continued when Fukuda got back into the ring and gave Takagi the Perfect Plex for a nearfall. Article #495 then came into play as a 30 second timeout is used after every Perfect Plex. Takagi had enough and gave Fukuda the Sit Down Himawari Bomb. Unfortunately Article #999 says that moves where the victim is raised above the opponent’s shoulders then suddenly dropped are considered dangerous and result in an automatic disqualification. After the match Fukuda told the fans to spread the news on Twitter and Facebook that he beat Takagi.

7. Yasu Urano Vs Keisuke Ishii

The feud between Ura-Shima-Kudo and Team Dream Futures has leapt to the next level after Keisuke Ishii put KUDO on the shelf with a dislocated elbow. Yasu Urano faces Ishii in what is sure to be a heated main event.

Due to KUDO’s injury, HARASHIMA will need to find another wrestler to team with him to take on Kota Ibushi & Gota Ihashi.

Sanshiro Takagi Vs Hiroshi Fukuda will now have Fukuda’s Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title on the line. Fukuda chose Takagi to be his opponent and Takagi responded by asking what the hell is this US Heavyweight Title, who certifies the championship and why is it being defended in DDT? Fukuda said it is the most prestigious US Title in Japan, that it is certified by Union and it will cause too much trouble to explain why DDT is hosting the title match. He then got Takagi to sign the certificate to make the title match official, even though Takagi doesn’t want the title.

Hiroshi Fukuda is a fan of American wrestling, so I guess the Union Non-Certified US Heavyweight Title will turn out to be a modified WWE US Title belt replica that he owns.

Seiya Morohashi has permanently dropped the Big Rude gimmick and is back to wrestling as himself.
