*Antonio Honda becomes the 868th champion.

Isami Kodaka defended the DDT Extreme Title against his most experienced challenger to date, El Samurai. This time the title was defended in a proper TLC match with Kodaka climbing to the top of the ladder with a steel chair and leaping off, delivering a Double Knee Drop over the chair and onto El Samurai for the win.

The battle over the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title crossed over to Union when the DDT show ended. During the evening Tsuyoshi Kikuchi constantly thwarted Antonio Honda’s attempts at winning the title from him. It wasn’t until the semi-main event when someone was finally able to beat Kikuchi. That person was Ultraman Robin, who brought along his sidekick Giant Robin to defeat the TKG48 pair of Kikuchi & Sanshiro Takagi. Kikuchi won the title back at the end of the night, only for Antonio Honda to finally catch the champ off guard and become champion again.

Ken Ohka’s problems with Mio Shirai continue with Ohka once again left embarrased by the Triple Tails girl. Shirai defeated Ohka with the Figure Four Neck Lock, a move she has used to get rid of Ohka time and time again. Even worse for Ken, Shirai won the SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title from him in his first defence. And just when Ohka thought it couldn’t get even more embarrassing, Mio handed Ohka a new ‘belt’ he had to wear, a dog collar. Needless to say, Mio is now calling herself Ken Ohka’s master.

Match #3 is said to be Hiro Tsumaki’s best performance to date, particularly his moments in the ring with Toru Sugiura.

Big Morohashi was nominated for the Anal Blast Opening Ceremony election for Sumo Hall. Naomi Susan is enthusiastic in her support for Morohashi in the election.

The main event of this week’s Monthly Young Communication event had Keisuke Ishii and Shigehiro Irie fight to a 20 minute draw. A rivalry has been building up between the two top prospects from the newest generation of DDT and Union wrestlers so when their most recent battle ended in a stalemate, they both requested a rematch. Tsurumi Amon complied and made the match for 24/07 at Sumo Hall.

So far 12 competitors have been added to the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title Battle Royal. Antonio Honda is currently the champion but there is no doubt the title will change hands numerous times before we get to Sumo Hall. Expect more entries to appear in the match as well. This will also be Makoto Oishi’s first match back since his injury from last month put him on the sidelines..

An election has taken place to determine the lucky man who will participate in the Anal Blast opening ceremony. Three names have been put forward: Michael Nakazawa (nominated by himself), Batten Tamagawa (nominated by Sanshiro Takagi) and Tanomusaku Toba (nominated by Danshoku Dino). Even better is voting is open to the public. You, yes YOU can help decide who gets the honour of participating in the ceremony.

In order to vote, send an e-mail titled “DDT 明日の肛門スターは君だ！” to zkoumonbakuha@gmail.com and include one of the names below in the message. You can only vote once per e-mail account. Any duplicate votes from the same address will be ignored. Voting begins today and will end on Thursday 21st July.

Ultraman Robin tried to be coy when he gave information about his tag partner Giant Robin, but his clues ended up revealing his identity right away. Giant Robin’s height and weight are written down as unknown but his date of birth is 25th September, 1975 and he is also nicknamed “Dynamite Ishikawa”. So this means Giant Robin will be Shuji Ishikawa.

Luscious Latasha is an 8 year veteran and has been recently wrestling in Japan for the REINA promotion.

For the next Tag bout, both men are trading up from rookies to two of the most established wrestlers in both DDT and Union. The KO-D Champion brings along Big Morohasi to face KUDO and Kota Ibushi.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title has been very active since its return two months ago. The belt has already changed hands 21 times and no one knows who will be the Champion going into the Battle Royal at Sumo Hall. Right now Antonio Honda is the current champion and he will defend the belt against Daisuke Sasaki & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi on 10th July.

Sunday will be “UNION DAY” with Taichi from New Japan and Sexxxy Eddy both confirmed to compete, Monday will be “BELT HUNTER X HUNTER DAY” marking the first time the unit has been together since it went on hiatus back in January, Tuesday will be “HARASHIMA & HERO! DAY”, Wednesday is “BOYZ DAY” which sees the return of the brand filled with pretty boy wrestlers, Thursday is “KENNY OMEGA & MICHAEL NAKAZAWA DAY”, Friday is “TSURUMI AMON DAY” where he promises to bring back the spirit of WCW, and Saturday is “DDT DAY”.

Shuji Ishikawa dealt a big blow to KUDO by pinning him in the main event. Ishikawa has not been threatened at all by his Ryogoku opponent and has cut down the challenger’s momentum with this win.

Ken Ohka got the upset win over Ultraman Robin to become the new SGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion. He will defend the title in one week’s time against Mio Shirai. There is no love lost between the two since that time Ohka tried to spy on Mio only to get caught and choked out by a Figure 4 Neck Lock.

Kyohei Wada was the referee for the Big China Tag Title match. The Great Sasuke celebrated the title win by saying “As long as everyone is alive, this belt with the long-winded name and panda will be forever immortal!” A rematch has been promised with Sanshiro Takagi asking Kyohei Wada to be the ref again.

It was announced that Union will be producing the first “BEER FIGHT 2011” show on 7th August. Sexxxy Eddy will appear on the show.

This is a surprise. No one would have guessed that Isami Kodaka’s next DDT Extreme Title defence would be against El Samurai!

One last note, for a while I have been getting Keita Yano’s name wrong. I have mistakenly been calling him Yano K Data all this time, thinking this was a seperate gimmick he only used in Union. Turns out he goes pretty much everywhere dressed as a cross between Doink The Clown and The Joker. The Google Translate site has recently improved its results for translating Japanese into English and vice versa, so now the kanji for his name correctly comes up as Keita Yano instead of Yano K Data. So I’m going to go back through the posts and make the corrections to his name.

Isami Kodaka resisted a fierce challenge from MIKAMI to keep the DDT Extreme Championship. In a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match, Isami got the first fall by beating MIKAMI with his own favorite move, the School Boy. MIKAMI’s ladder came into play in the second fall and the challenger’s expert use of the object helped him tie the score. However in the third fall, Kodaka was able to break down MIKAMI’s leg and eventually submit him to stay as champion.

Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa became Tag Team Champions once more by winning the Big China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Titles from Chou-un Shiryu & Cao Zhang. Their match turned hardcore with plenty of brawling among the crowds plus the use of foreign objects like tables, a bicycle and a pile of DVDs. Princess Makoto even got involved by climbing on top of a barricade and diving onto the challengers. However it just was not meant to be for the New Beijing crew and their illustrious championship is now in the hands of the TKG48. Could this be the rebirth of the “Greatest Title Run Ever”? We will soon find out as it was announced that the first team to challenge the new champs will be The Great Sasuke & Ricky Fuji!

1. Best Of The Super Jr. – Block B: KUSHIDA [2] defeated Daisuke Sasaki [0] with the Midnight Express (6:53).
2. Best Of The Super Jr. – Block A: Kenny Omega [2] defeated Taichi [0] with the Croyt’s Wrath (8:59).
8. Best Of The Super Jr. – Block B: Ryusuke Taguchi [2] defeated Kota Ibushi [0] with the Milano-Style Dodon Throne (13:21).

A mixed start for the Golden Lovers on the first night of the Best Of The Super Jr. tournament. Kenny Omega scored some points by beating Taichi but Kota Ibushi lost to Ryusuke Taguchi. Meanwhile Daisuke Sasaki was defeated by KUSHIDA in the opening match of the tournament. Their next matches will be on 28/5 where Omega faces Koji Kanemoto, Ibushi takes on KUSHIDA and Sasaki is against Taguchi.

The New Beijing duo of Chou-un Shiryu & Cao Zhang will have their first defence of the Greater China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Titles in Shinjuku FACE for Union. Thay have a very tough challenge ahead as their opponents on 2nd June are Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa. The former KO-D Tag Team Champions will love to win a championship for the TKG48 no matter what country the belts come from.

Yoshiaki Yago sent Naomi Susan a short poem explaining that he and the rest of the SS Susan will not be at the show.
