ALL TOGETHER Opening Match ~ SUNRISE OF J: Kota Ibushi, Taiji Ishimori, Hiroshi Yamato & BUSHI defeated Tiger Mask, Kaz Hayashi, Shuji Kondo & Ricky Marvin when Ishimori pinned Marvin with the 450 Splash (10:05).

Kota Ibushi was on the winning team for the opening match of the “ALL TOGETHER” charity show held in Nippon Budokan. Despite the positive atmosphere that surrounded the event, Ibushi and Shuji Kondo had to be pulled apart outside the ring after the match ended. Could this lead to Kondo challenging Ibushi for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title somewhere down the line? Meanwhile Ibushi had support from Sanshiro Takagi, Yukinori Matsui & Michael Nakazawa who all attended the show to see him compete while also checking out the venue in the run up to DDT’s 15th Anniversary show next year.

Speaking of Ibushi, he has joined Danshoku Dino and Makoto Oishi in DDT to form the new faction Homoiro Clover Z.

2. 4 Way: Kota Ibushi & KUDO Vs Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa Vs Hikaru Sato & Michael Nakazawa Vs Isami Kodaka & Ken Ohka

A battle of rookies has been added to the Campsite Pro Wrestling show. Kazuki Hirata and Hiroshi Fukuda will face each other in the great outdoors, an important learning experience for any wrestler in DDT.

Union will be welcoming two wrestlers from Russian promotion Independent Wrestling Federation to the brand in September. The two wrestlers will be teaming with each other on both Shinjuku FACE shows on 19th September. First off we have Ivan Markov, a cornerstone of the IWF and head trainer of its wrestling school. Joining him is Ronnie Crimson, a former IWF Champion. Together they will go after the Big China Tag Team Titles on the second Union show. Will Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa be prepared for the Russian attack?

5. Minoru Suzuki defeated Hikaru Sato with the Gotch-Style Piledriver (11:58).

7. KO-D Openweight Title: KUDO (c) defeated Keisuke Ishii with the Diving Double Knee Drop (23:42).
*V1 for KUDO.
Ironman Heavymetalweight Title: Gorgeous Matsuno defeated Michael Nakazawa with a School Boy (Clock 15:06).
* Gorgeous Matsuno becomes the 877th champion.

KUDO swept aside his first challenger for the KO-D Openweight Championship. Keisuke Ishii put up a brave effort for his first shot at the title, but KUDO stood tall by the end. His next challenger will be the winner of the DDT48 Election 2011, taking place on the 23rd October Korakuen Hall show. If KUDO ends up winning the election, he will be allowed to choose his opponent.

We have brand new KO-D Tag Team Champions in the form of Kota Ibushi & Danshoku Dino! The two most well known names from DDT make quite the successful combination as they put away the big and small team of Daisuke Sekimoto & Masa Takanashi to win the titles. To celebrate their victory, Dino and Ibushi were joined in the ring with Makoto Oishi and together they all sang and danced to a Momoiro Clover Z song. This is enough to signal a new unit, apparently.

Hikaru Sato was defeated by fellow Pancrase MISSION fighter Minoru Suzuki. Minoru added salt to the wounds by saying he was always better than Sato going back to their days in Pancrase.

HERO! and Darkside HERO! turned on HARASHIMA, giving him a Tombstone Piledriver and leaving him for dead in their 6-Man Tag match. In response to this, Tsurumi Amon announced that HARASHIMA will face HERO! one on one at “NON-FIX 9.18” in Chiba Blue Field.

A DDT Vs Union 6-Man Tag match was announced for a special DDT48 Election show taking place in Korakuen Hall on 25th September. KUDO, HARASHIMA & Kota Ibushi will take on Shuji Ishikawa, Sanshiro Takagi & Kengo Ohka. The Union side has the big disadvantage of being made up of wrestlers from three rival factions. The rest of the DDT48 contestants will appear at the show, which will be the final event where they can campaign for votes before the polls close.

Poison Sawada JULIE’s new name is… Poison JULIE Sawada! The name change he planned was actually just switching parts of his name around, going from ポイズン澤田JULIE to ポイズンJULIE澤田. Sawada arrived at Korakuen Hall with a brand new look, which is being called his “TOKIO” costume. The new costume is a long red Sgt. Pepper style jacket along with a golden helmet that is legal to use during matches. Sawada also used a brand new finishing move called the Pirates A GOGO to defeat Daisuke Sasaki in their tag match and getting revenge for his humiliation during “BEER FIGHT 2011” week.

Several DDT and Union wrestlers spent time with the audience between matches during today’s event, campaigning for votes in the DDT48 Elections. Makoto Oishi went around giving free hugs for example. Although he might have done that anyway regardless of whether or not there was an election going on.

Miyako spoke on behalf of BENTEN for the entire conference while BENTEN was busy smoking underneath his paper umbrella.

This year they are joined by reigning KO-D Champion KUDO, Munenori Sawa, Hikaru Sato, DDT Extreme Champion Isami Kodaka and finally Ken Ohka. Kasumigaura Ryokuchi Park & Yokkaichi Land & Water Falls Count Anywhere Free Weapons Death Match: Abdullah Kobayashi, Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa Vs Ryuji Ito, Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei

After the sad announcement earlier this week from Munenori Sawa about his plan to retire a few days after BattlArts closes down in November, he and Sanshiro Takagi only have a few months left to continue their “Daishacho Hentai” tag team. They will take a trip over to Big Japan Wrestling to team up with Abdullah Kobayashi to fight Ryuji Ito and the Brahman Bros in a Falls Count Anywhere match that sounds just like something Takagi & Sawa did during their “Greatest Title Run Ever”©.

The Apartment Pro Wrestling show took place somewhere in Tokyo today. Unfortunately I haven’t found out who took part and what the match was. However it was taped for DVD, which will be released next month. The match took place in an apartment building that is scheduled to be demolished later this year, which probably explains how DDT was able to do this show. DDT did post a picture taken of the hallway after the show finished. As you can see below, the place was wrecked by the time DDT was done with it.

Shuji & Generico Get Extreme Title Shots, Mio Vs Ohka Chain Deathmatch

1. Ken Ohka Vs Masao Orihara
2. Shuji Ishikawa Vs BENTEN
3. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs El Generico

El Generico has made a big impression on the Union gang. So much so that his return on the Shinjuku FACE doubleshot has him taking on Isami Kodaka for the DDT Extreme Title in the main event of the afternoon show. But whoever wins the championship will have a big challenge ahead of them later on that day.

Nanae Takahashi and Akito will also compete on the show.

UNION “ILLUSION ~VISION~”, 19/09/2011

1. Big China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Titles: Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa (c) Vs X & X
2. SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title – Chain Deathmatch: Mio Shirai (c) Vs Ken Ohka
3. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi Vs Yoshiaki Yago
4. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka or El Generico (c) Vs Shuji Ishikawa

The ace of Union, Shuji Ishikawa will also get a DDT Extreme Championship match on the 19th. He will be in the main event of the evening show taking on the winner of Kodaka Vs Generico.

The rivalry between Ken Ohka and Mio Shirai has not been a good experience for Ohka. Mio Shirai has embarressed Ken Ohka time and time again by beating him up and putting him to sleep with the Figure 4 Neck Lock on a regular basis. Most recently, Mio won the SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title from Ohka in his first defence, nullifying all of the hard work he did to win the belt. To make it even worse, Mio forced Ohka to wear a dog collar and refer to her as “Master”. Ohka interrupted Mio’s interview at the Union press conference wearing the collar with a chain attached to it, demanding a Chain Deathmatch with the SGP J.r Title on the line. Ohka thought he got one over on Mio when he was able to attach the chain to her wrist while taunting her with the key. However, Mio wrapped the chain around her hand, hit Ohka with a backfist and applied the Figure Four Neck Lock to choke him out before freeing herself.

Masako Takanashi will also compete on the show.

Omega & Sato Vs All Japan, Ibushi Vs KUSHIDA

August 16, 2011

This September, Kenny Omega and Hikaru Sato are both crossing over to All Japan to compete in this year’s AJPW Jr. Heavyweight League. Omega has stated that he wants to win a singles title in Japan. Since his fellow Golden Lover is currently king of the New Japan Jr Heavyweight scene, Omega has set his sights on All Japan for his search of glory. Omega’s opposition in his group are the current AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Champion KAI, aswell as Kaz Hayashi, Minoru, BUSHI and BLACK BUSHI (who I assume is BUSHI’s non-union Canadian equivalent). Hikaru Sato returns to the tournament after a luke-warm win-loss record from last year. This time Sato’s opponents in his block are Shuji Kondo, Hiroshi Yamato, MAZADA, Jimmy Yang and New Japan’s Koji Kanemoto.

IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title: Kota Ibushi (c) Vs KUSHIDA

Meanwhile, Kota Ibushi has learned of his next challenger for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title. KUSHIDA surprised many fans by defeating Ibushi when they clashed at the Best Of The Super Jr. XVIII back in June. Now just five months after he joined New Japan full time, KUSHIDA gets his first shot at the belt.
