*V4 for The Golden Lovers.

The Golden Lovers retained their KO-D Tag Team Titles over Shuten-dōji in a brawl of a match. After the match Kenny Omega said that the trio of him, Kota Ibushi and Daisuke Sasaki will now be called the Golden Storm Riders.

Keisuke Ishii apologised for him and Shigehiro Irie not having the All Asia Tag Team Titles with them. All Japan currently has possession of their titles belts and Ishii was unable to get permission to bring them to Sapporo.

Kenichi Yamamoto was impressed with Sanshiro Takagi when they teamed up and won their match. So much so that he had an idea for the next time DDT returns to Hokkaido. Yamamoto wants Takagi to help him form a new Golden Cups unit. The Golden Cups were originally a group in WAR featuring Yamamoto, Yuji Anjo and Yoshihiro Takayama. Together the three invaded New Japan. Takagi accepted the offer He and Yamamoto together yelled “We Are Golden Cups!”

Danshoku Dino won the 4 Way Match when DJ Nira had his head shoved into Dino’s backside, forcing Nira to give up.

After wrestling for 25 minutes earlier in the afternoon, Michael Nakazawa was still feeling energetic and enthusiastic for his opening match with Daisuke Sasaki. The bell rang, Nakazawa yelled “Here we go Sapporo!” and Sasaki quickly locked hm in the Crossface Lock for the sudden submission victory. Amon Tsurumi called for an immediate rematch. Nakazawa was able to avoid the Crossface Lock and then covered himself in lotion to make his body slippy. The plan backfired when Nakazawa could not keep his grip for a German Suplex and Sasaki slipped away. Sasaki then grabbed Nakazawa’s loose tights and used them to apply the Crossface Lock to win a second time.

Danshoku Dino had Konosuke Takeshita go through a series of dark matches before they could have their No DQ Match. Takeshita fought Makoto Oishi to a time limit draw, then beat DJ Nira afterwards. Takeshita wound up hurting his knee but had to fight Oishi again. He was about to submit Oishi with the Walls Of Takeshita when Dino ran into the ring and attacked Takeshita for the DQ. A chair was used often in the No DQ match and at one point Takeshita had Dino beat with a German Suplex but the referee was knocked unconscious. When Takeshita checked on the ref Dino rolled him over with the Gay-do Clutch. That was when the ref recovered and counted the pin, giving Dino the victory. Dino and Oishi attacked Takeshita after the match but they were then chased off by Antonio Honda and DJ Nira.

The Wasabi Éclair Death Match involved a wrestler having to eat an éclair everytime his opponent kicks out of a pin at two. There were five éclairs but one of them was filled with wasabi. Whoever ate the Wasabi Éclair would be the loser. Throughout the match Antonio Honda and Daisuke Sasaki ate two éclairs each and felt no discomfort. Honda knocked down Sasaki with a Bionic Elbow and went for the pin but Sasaki kicked out. Honda ate the final éclair and immediately ran out of the ring looking for a bathroom so he could wash the wasabi out of his mouth. Honda was able to recover and win the final fall when he countered a Hurricanrana into a Sunset Flip.

By booking this match, Kenny is convinced DDT wants Nakazawa dead and he doesn’t understand why.

5. Falls Count Anywhere Match: Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega & Daisuke Sasaki defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Ibushi pinned Hirata after the PK Heart (13:54).
6. DDT Extreme Title – 3 Times Fall Match: Masa Takanashi defeated Danshoku Dino (c) with a Leg Roll Clutch (13:48).
*Danshonu Dino fails in V2. Masa Takanashi becomes the 27th DDT Extreme Champion!
7. KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano when KUDO pinned Urano with the Diving Double Knee Drop (16:13).

Akito found himself at a crossroads now that he is out of the KO-D Openweight Title picture. He could have gone back to teaming with Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi but he instead decided to do something new to become more powerful. What that was he didn’t reveal until after the main event. He approached the victorious Shuten-dōji with a can of beer in his hand. But just when it looked like he was about to have a toast with them he instead sprayed the beer in Masa Takanashi’s face! Akito then walked over to HARASHIMA and said they could make many dreams come true if they teamed together. HARASHIMA welcomed him to the team and he told Yasu Urano it was pretty nifty that Akito wanted to join them.

The DDT Extreme Title was up for grabs in a 3 Times Fall Match. The goal of the match is to pin your opponent for three seconds in a row. The catch is it did not have to happen in the same pinning attempt. For example at the start of the match Masa Takanashi quickly cradled Danshoku Dino for a two count. If Takanashi pinned Dino again he would just need a one count to win since he would have scored 3 seconds in a row. However quickly afterwards Dino pinned Takanashi for a two count, so Dino’s pin score was set back to zero while Takanashi was now in danger of losing. Takanashi was able to pin Dino to win the champiosnhip with a straight three count (pun not intended) when he countered the Gay-do Clutch into a Leg Roll Clutch. The new Extreme Champion then “honored” the former champ by calling him a “dumb bastard” and an “ugly fucking loser”. Makoto Oishi came to Dino’s aid and challenged Takanashi to a title match. Amon Tsurumi booked the match for Nagoya on 25th May. Oishi then said he wanted it to be the return of the Idol Lumberjack Death Match! Takanashi accepted and said he would have Emi Sakura on his side. Oishi mentioned she’s too mature to count as an idol but whatever.

Michael Nakazawa had a mountain to climb as he took on the no nonsense badass Minoru Suzuki. Nakazawa was convinced he could win and tried his best, he even attempted to summon his fighting spirit by getting into a chop battle. Suzuki wasn’t impressed and easily trapped Nakazawa in different submission holds. Every time Nakazawa was put in a hold he yelled “Impossible!” and wanted to give up. But Suzuki didn’t want the match to end so soon and he let go of his opponent just so he could apply more submissions. Suzuki eventually choked out Nakazawa with a Sleeper and was going to do the Gotch-Style Piledriver until Nakazawa tapped out before he was lifted off his feet. Suzuki didn’t care and he lifted up Nakazawa for the move until Yukinori Matsui stepped in and stopped him. When Nakazawa regained consciousness he asked Suzuki if they could team together. Suzuki shook Nakazawa’s hand but refused to let go. If Nakazawa wants to team with him so much then he’ll do it! In three months time they will team together. During those three months he’ll be training very hard and he wants Nakazawa to do the same so by the time they team up Nakazawa won’t be what he is now but he will instead become a hybrid wrestler! Suzuki already ordered Nakazawa to begin his first training session by doing 100 push ups right there in the ring. Nakazawa complained but Suzuki yelled that he summoned the demon instructor and must do what he says. Nakazawa could only do 10 push ups before collapsing. It’s going to be a long road ahead for him.

The Falls Count Anywhere Match was chaos. First of all, Kazuki Hirata did not appear with his team mates when they entered the ring. The match began with Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi suffering a 3-on-2 Handicap disadvantage until Hirata finally appeared in the crowd dancing to Magnum TOKYO’s theme song. When he entered the ring, Owashi stopped the dancing by Shoulder Blocking his partner. Takagi dragged Kota Ibushi out of the ring and then attacked him with a kewpie doll. Ibushi defended himself by twisting Takagi’s arm over and over. Hirata threw Kenny Omega into a closing elevator and turned around thinking he was now gone. The elevator opened up and Kenny reappeared to School Boy Hirata for a nearfall. Takagi and Daisuke Sasaki brawled over to a place selling adult DVDs and they had a duel using the DVDs as swords. Ibushi got a bicycle!!! He cycled into Hirata’s crotch while Omega and Sasaki held him in place. A box of posters was then brought in and used to great effect. Ibushi did his best Steve Blackman impression and attacked Hirata with the rolled up posters. Omega then somehow used a poster to power up his Hadouken launching Hirata into Ibushi’s German Suplex. Omega then placed the cardboard box over Hirata’s head and with Sasaki performed the PK Heart to win the match. Afterwards Takagi talked about Minoru Suzuki training somebody as useless as Michael Nakazawa. Suzuki then walked out with Nakazawa and forced him to wheelbarrow down to the ring. Suzuki said he can turn a useless dickwad into a hybrid wrestler in three months. He then lifted up Nakazawa for a Gotch-Style Piledriver and forced him to do push ups from that position.

Danshoku Dino passed a message on to Guanchulo from his mother. Guanchulo wanted his mom to attend his final show for DDT on 20th May but according to her message she will be visiting China on that date. However, she will send another message that will be shown to Guanchulo on the 20th.

Shun Miyatake was again told he will not debut properly if he keeps losing so easily in his exhibition matches.

Akitoshi Saito will compete on the 25th May show. Danshoku Dino expressed interest in having a match with him that night.

The line-up for King Of DDT 2014 was revealed. The winner of the 16-man tournament gets a main event KO-D Openweight Title shot at Sumo Hall on 17th August. This year there will be three qualifying matches for tournament spots. Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Daisuke Sasaki, Akito, Soma Takao, Kazuki Hirata and Tetsuya Endo will have to wrestle each other in matches that will take place on the 17th, 25th and 29th of May. The rest of the field are Makoto Oishi, Keisuke Ishii, Konosuke Takeshita, MIKAMI, Masa Takanashi, Yasu Urano, Yukio Sakaguchi, Danshoku Dino, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi and the loser of KUDO Vs HARASHIMA. Shigehiro Irie will not enter because he has a Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

Cherry announced the main event of her 10th Anniversary show on 1st June will be her against Aja Kong! They previously had a singles match on 13th November 2011 for Cherry’s “FANTASY ILLUSION” show. Cherry wrestled that match with a broken jaw so she was given a special rule where Jaiko Ishikawa was allowed to interfere and fight Kong. This time Cherry is in full health and she wants to face Kong under normal circumstances. Cherry also decided she will team with Danshoku Dino for her mixed tag match against Ladybeard & Saki Akai in Union on 18th May.

Antonio Honda announced a new match for his Anniversary show also on 1st June. It will be HARASHIMA, Riho & DJ Nira Vs Yuji Hino, Emi Sakura and The Great Kojika.

He approached Ken Ohka asking to join the Ganpuro roster and for the two of them to team together. Ohka declined to team with him but offered him an MMA match against a famous kickboxer. Shibata asked if it was Peter Aerts. Ohka said it’s not Aerts, it’s former DDT competitor and also video editor Tanomusaku Toba. I think based on the match name the idea is it will be streamed online.

6. KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi defeated Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi & Tetsuya Endo when KUDO pinned Endo with the Diving Double Knee Drop (15:59).

Two days ago Gorgeous Matsuno challenged Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie to an All Asia Tag Team Titles match. Matsuno approached Amon Tsurumi at the start of the show wondering why the match was non-title. Tsurumi said he does not control the championship, All Japan does. Matsuno demanded Tsurumi to call the All Japan office right there and then. Tsurumi did and the call went as follows: “It’s DDT, can the All Asia… Oh, my bad.” The call was cut off and Matsuno left the ring empty handed.

Later in the show, Ishii & Irie quickly beat Matsuno & Sanshiro Takagi. After the match Matsuno again went to Tsurumi demanding a title shot. This time he had a piece of paper that allegedly came from the PWF President, Dory Funk Jr. The letter said that Funk has given approval for the Non Asia Tag Team Titles to not be defended. That explanation was good enough for Tsurumi and the match restarted. Ishii & Irie then beat Matsuno & Takagi again to achieve their first non-defence.

6. KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi defeated HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano & Konosuke Takeshita when Sakaguchi submitted Urano with the Cobra Clutch (17:13).

Masa Takanashi called out Danshoku Dino after the main event and said he will take the DDT Extreme Title from him.

Speaking of Dino, Tetsuya Endo swore payback on him before their match. Endo, who admits to being a virgin, is mad that Dino was his first kiss and he can never forget that. Endo’s goal is to know reach the top of DDT so he can then find the ideal partner for his first time. In the match itself Endo missed the Sky Twister Press and Dino took advantage with the Sliding Dino, a Sliding D variation where instead of elbowing the opponent in the face, he slides in for a kiss instead. Dino then finished off Endo with the Danshoku Driver.

For Match #4 Sanshiro Takagi once again asked for the bout to be fought under Lucha Libre rules. However, Daisuke Sasaki then asked if the match could be Falls Count Anywhere instead. Unable to pick either, both teams decided to use both rules resulting in a Lucha Libre Anywhere match. Meanwhile Kota Ibushi has been feeling stressed lately due to his busy schedule with both DDT and New Japan. But when the match left the ring and wound up outside the building, he was given fireworks to deal with the stress. Ibushi relieved his stress by shooting the fireworks at his opponents.

Ganpuro were able to reduce the Union team down to just Kodaka but their advantage was ruined when Yumehito Imanari accidentaly eliminated his team mate Ken Ohka from the match with a badly timed Axe Bomber. Kodaka then kicked Imanari in the head to win the match. Kodaka then told Ohka he would face him anytime, even right there in Miyagi. But Ohka gathered his troops and left ringside defeated.
