The next Hiragana Muscle event is a series of five shows taking place across three days starting on 29th March. These shows are celebrating the 18th Anniversary of the original MUSCLE event from 2004. That’s not all. The K-I (Kai) Grand Prix will be brought back for the first time in 17 years with a total of 48 contestants taking part in a one day tournament. Since every Muscle show is a virtually identical performance per episode that means Muscle is running an entire 48-Man tournament five times in three days. But since this is Muscle that also means a lot of nonsense and shenanigans will be going on to derail everything. Nothing ever goes right when this promotion organizes a tournament. They still haven’t finished their New Year Tag Festival from 2009.

Pro wrestler and actor AKIRA will be at the show wrestling in DDT for the first time in his 37 year career (he did MUSCLE before but not DDT proper). He doesn’t do as many standard pro wrestling appearances as he used to but is still active in the ring as part of the MAKAI musicals.
