6. Yuna Manase & Toga defeated Miyu Yamashita & Kira Summer when Toga pinned Summer with the Rock Bottom (10:09).
7. Mizuki, Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao defeated Miu Watanabe, Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara when Misao submitted Uehara with the Chickenwing Face Lock (17:11).

The second show on today’s Kitazawa doubleheader was the more usual Tokyo Joshi Pro affair. With “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” just under two weeks away it was time for a champions versus challengers 6-Woman Tag Match to headline the show. Mizuki teamed up with Kyoraku Kyomei while Miu Watanabe joined forces with Ober Eats. Before the match began Hyper Misao felt so confident about the champions’ chances of winning that she called her shot and predicted she would take the winning fall from Wakana Uehara. She suffered a setback when Yuki Kamifuku took the spray can from her and sprayed her in the face with it. Things between Mizuki and Watanabe were also more competitive terms with some moments of good sportsmanship coming off like it was an act of passive aggression. The match came down to the two tag teams with Misao clasping the Chickenwing Face Lock onto Uehara. Shoko Nakajima cut off Kamifuku’s rescue by hitting her with the Diving Senton, giving Uehara no option but to give up.

After the match the champion team all talked about defending their titles on 20th September. Misao said she is now even with Uehara after losing to her a few weeks ago and today’s result proves that Uehara’s win was just a fluke. She’ll prove it again at their singles match in Aizuwakamatsu next weekend that Kyoraku Kyomei’s odds of beating Ober Eats are at 99.99999999999%! Nakajima then told Kamifuku that they will be fighting each other in Texas next weekend for the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title. She admits she’s been having fun wrestling against her lately. Mizuki then acknowledged that Watanabe has become more of a Cinderella recently so when the Princess Of Princess Title is on the line, Mizuki wants to win when Watanabe is in her most sparkling form.

The new team of Yuna Manase & Toga has gotten off to a good start. They’re already some teamwork down and had each other’s backs when Miyu Yamashita & Kira Summer launched a counter attack. Manase put all her trust in Toga when she lifted Summer into a Samoan Drop position and then told Toga to hit her with an Elbow Strike to add more oomph to the move. When Manase used another Samoan Drop to get rid of Yamashita, Toga went and pinned Summer with the Rock Bottom. After the match Toga suggested to Manase backstage that they can go challenge for the Princess Tag Team Titles, then decided they should do it. Manase liked the idea because she always wanted to win that title. She then shouted over to Tetsuya Koda at the other side of the room that they want a title shot. She and Toga will also come up with a team name.

The next “TJPW INPIRATION” show will be held on 19th November and will feature the one night only return of Yuu to Tokyo Joshi Pro! TJPW was her original home promotion when she debuted in 2016 up until she left in 2018. She is planning to retire from pro wrestling on 28th December so part of it includes her “coming home” for the first time in seven years. For her TJPW return she is going to team with Kamifuku to take on Nakajima & Yamashita!

The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) performed their newest song “Love Motto” at the start of the show.

Today Tokyo Joshi Pro are holding two shows inside Kitazawa Town Hall with the first being the next installment of “GO GIRL”, an event held for an audience of women only. After the main event Miyu Yamashita told everyone she loves the atmosphere of these shows while Toga pointed out this is the second “GO GIRL” in a row she got to be in the main event for. She is happy to show everyone how much she has grown and also to see so many girls screaming in front of her. For the newcomers in the crowd, Toga told them that TJPW is full of charm and she’d love it if they would come back to see more shows, like the second one happening this evening for example. Yamashita then told Toga not to feel discouraged about the next show just because they will be on opposing teams this time.

The Dragon God Hold used by Rika Tatsumi is just a humble rolling Sunset Flip. But she is the God of 3 Way Matches which make it so much more powerful.

The answer to this is to have a No. 1 Contender’s match while Mochizuki is back in his home promotion.

GanPro also continues their rivalries with FREEDOMS and BASARA. The FREEDOMS match is getting more tense while things seem to be under control with BASARA.

Two new friends join the fray and they might be familiar to fans from certain parts of the world. Charli Evans is from Australia but usually calls the UK wrestling scene her home. 1. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya (c) Vs To-y & Yuya Koroku

Koroku might need to hold onto his RTC Arm Cover for as long as he can because that’s the only reason why he and To-y are getting a KO-D Tag Team Titles shot. Yuki Iino has good memories of using the Right To Challenge prize and he wants to take the one Koroku currently has. He says he will cancel the match if Koroku loses it before then but I don’t know if he or Yukio Naya have the power to do that. The Apex are confident thet can keep the tag titles either way.

There seems to be no one out there brave enough to take the DDT Universal Title from Minoru Suzuki. Well, Takeshi Masada thinks he can do it and only got the match because he dared to accuse Suzuki of running away from a challenge. For that Suzuki is now threatening to kill Masada in the ring!

1. Sanshiro Takagi Return Match – Special Single Match: Sanshiro Takagi Vs Hinata Kasai
2. Special Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & Kaisei Takechi Vs X & X
3. Dramatic Dream Match: Zack Sabre Jr. Vs Chris Brookes

We’re not done yet with Chris Brookes’s reunion with Zack Sabre Jr. They realized it has been years since they last had a singles match against each other and it hasn’t been done in Japan yet. So why not do one at Sumo Hall for DDT’s biggest show of the year? Sabre is still the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion too. But for how long…

It will be around a year and four months that have gone by when Sanshiro Takagi finally returns to wrestle again. He only admitted recently that one of the reasons he was out of action for so long was because he was diagnosed with angina and wasn’t allowed to even do a proper workout by his doctor until he recovered. He also sees something special with Hinata Kasai and specifically chose him to be his opponent at Sumo Hall. Kasai understands how important the match is especially because it will be the opener. But he isn’t sweating over the result. In his eyes Takagi doesn’t have a lot in the tank in his current state so Kasai thinks he has a really good chance of winning his first match in Sumo Hall!

It wasn’t hyped up this way when the match was announced but this show is happening on the day after Yuki Ueno’s birthday. So let’s turn his match into a celebration!

A dark match is being presented by the Nariagari amateur group. Danshoku Dieno is still involved with them and recently introduced Narigari Dream Championships into the promotion. 1. Special Single Match: Danshoku Dieno defeated Yuki Aino with a Shoulder Block (9:35).

Haven’t we done this already? We have! But the first performance of “HYPE! 3 ~MY UNIVERSE~” back in June did not turn out to be the complete vision Hyper Misao had for the show. She wasn’t in the right frame of mind at the time which led to her making some decisions she wished she could go back on. So a second performance was put together and it took place today. The story is largely identical to the first performance with two major differences to focus on. For the sake of saving space I’m only going to include the new parts here. You can click on the link at the start of this paragraph to read the story as it went the first time around and work in the new stuff from there.

The scene with HIMAWARI and Tetsuya Koda that explains the power of the ring bell was extended to include Miyu Yamashita and Hisaya Imabayashi. In the scene HIMAWARI and Ms. X-shita (Yamashita) were two joshi wrestlers on a double date with Koda and Imabayashi but the men were acting like know-it-all jerks (they think pro wrestling is rigged!). So Yamashita intimidated the men by crushing an apple with her bare hand right in front of them and then dumping the remains into a beer mug that Chika Nanase served them. HIMAWARI then scared them off by hitting the ring bell.

The other big changes are for the finale. The end of the story gets rushed through because it’s running behind schedule so Yuki Koino (Yuki Aino) cuts off Urahime (Uta Takami) before Urahime could ask if she can join the Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling Academy. The story ends there and Misao walks out as planned to reveal what was going on. However this time the video explaining what happened is different.

The incident where a mystery man in black abducted Misao actually did happen which also meant Misao and Aino really did swap bodies! During the intermission Misao (in Aino’s body) found found Aino (in Misao’s body) next to the side of the road with no memory of what happened after the abduction. They focused their attention back to the show where Misao told Aino that she is the main character and is getting an important wrestling match for the final act. Aino saw who her opponent was in the script and objected because she has no connection to this person. However Misao convinced her to do it. They then accidentally bumped heads again, causing them to return to their normal bodies. However the bump also knocked out Misao so Aino had to go run the rest of the show by herself. With that out of the way it was now time for Aino’s big match. Aino said the story getting a happy ending was good enough so it would be fine if nobody watches the match. In fact she admits doesn’t want to go through with it. Misao explained she wants to see Aino be the main character because she can do it even without the need for preparation. The match Misao came up was the entire reason this show was put together in the first place!

To set the scene everyone went back to the final moments of the story. Urahime was defeated but instead of asking to join the Academy she instead swore she wouldn’t give up. She would instead reveal her true self! She collapses, the room goes dark and suddenly Urahime transforms into Danshoku Dieno! The Student Council tried to attack him but he fought them all off, leaving just Yuki Koino as the last one in his way. The Student Council called on her to fight but she couldn’t find the courage until Dieno asked her what her true feelings are? Aino said she doesn’t get excited to fight when she gets provoked. When she fights she wants to confront her opponent with her true desire to win so everyone from the wrestlers to the fans will be fired up. After listening to her answer, Dieno told Aino that in this moment he wants to crush her more than he wants to crush Hiroshi Tanahashi! Aino now wanted to use all her strength to beat Dieno and agreed to do the match in order to make everyone who came to the show happy.

The match went ahead with a complete presentation, entrances and ring introductions included. Dieno shrugged off a Shoulder Block and gave Aino a Brainbuster right away. Aino tried fighting back with Elbow Strikes but she would just get slammed down and put in submission holds in response. She would finally get going by countering a Vertical Drop Brainbuster into a Back Body Drop. From there she would get more offence in and get a nearfall with the Venus DDT. Dieno took back control and gave Aino the Danshoku Driver but she kicked out of it! Dieno then gave Aino several Shoulder Blocks, one for every time she stood back up. He then did a Superplex and left Aino laying so the ref could count her out. Aino struggled to get up so Dieno shouted her words of encouragement. When she made it to her feet to break the 10 count, Dieno hugged her and then hit another Shoulder Block. That one kept Aino down and Dieno pinned her for the win.

After the match Dieno said if this is Aino’s way of life they everyone should watch it closely. He heard about her story to become a wrestler. She trained hard but suffered a neck injury before her debut so she gave up. But she missed being in the ring so she came back. She also came back to be with an older sister that she trusts but the sister ended up taking a different path. In this life working hard doesn’t necessarily mean you will get rewarded for it. But at least here in Tokyo Joshi Pro people will come to see you do that hard work. There’s no other wrestling company in the world that puts on a show like this so Dieno told Aino she should be proud of that. He promised he will go on to crush Tanahashi as if Aino is a part of Dieno. The two then gave each other a fist bump.

Aino asked Misao if she saw what she wanted to see? Misao thanked her for showing something that went beyond her imagination, going so far it was like going into space. Misao told the audience that Aino Vs Dieno was the match she originally wanted to do for the first performance but Aino wanted to wrestle her instead. She was happy with how that turned out but still really wanted to put the other match together which is why the second performance was set up on one month’s notice. Misao thanked everyone involved for successfully getting today’s show over the finish line. The show ended with the catchphrase “I get HYPE! We get HYPE!”…

… Except we got a little stinger right at the very end. When the credits finished rolling the mystery man in black appeared on the screen with a message to give everyone. “It seems you all know too much about the secrets of space and pro wrestling.” He then rang the ring bell to erase everyone’s memories.

1. Special Single Match: Hyper Misao Vs Yuki Aino ended in a Time Limit Draw (15:00).

For the third year in a row Hyper Misao gets to produce her own show and it hasn’t gotten any easier. Three days before the event took place the entire cast waited at the dojo for rehearsals but Misao was nowhere to be seen. Yuki Aino decided to leave the others and go look for her. Meanwhile Misao was isolated in an office room, having purposely taped herself onto a chair so she could complete the script for the show. She found the task so difficult that she started praying to the wrestling gods to give her the strength to continue. After drinking one energy drink too many, she blanked out for a second. After coming to, Misao had a brainflash and suddenly realized the secret of pro wrestling as well as the universe!

Freshly invigorated, Misao went back to work typing as much as she could. Unbeknownst to her a mystery figure entered the room, approached her from behind and knocked her out with a bell hammer! As this was happening Aino was walking down the street and saw the figure carrying a still conscious Misao into a nearby parking lot. Aino rushed towards them, grabbed Misao and pulled her away. But the two clashed heads, knocking both of them down. The mystery person picked the now unconscious Misao up onto their shoulder and walked off.

Aino woke up to Mahiro Kiryu, Suzume and Shoko Nakajima all standing over her checking if she was alright. Something was wrong because she started thinking she was Misao and asked the others what had happened to Aino? Once she saw her reflection in a mirror, she started to realize what was going on. By bumping heads Misao and Aino had switched bodies! Back in the dojo everyone was told what had happened. Misao was now in Aino’s body and Aino was now in Misao’s body, which had just been kidnapped. They also have this show to worry about so they agreed in the meantime to do all that they can to make “HYPE! 3” a success.

Our story begins during the year 20XX in a version of Japan where pro wrestling is a nationally certified profession. Only those who pass a national exam are allowed to take on the job which for 15 consecutive years has been voted by children as the No. 1 career they want to have in the future. A private school in located in Shinjuku called the Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling Academy brings in students from all over Japan because it has an enrollment rate of 90% among its graduates. Today is the first day of class for the academy’s newest transfer student, Yuki Koino (Yuki Aino). Unfortunately Yuki was running late for class so she needed to get there quick. As she was running, she bumped into somebody wearing another school uniform (Toga) and knocked her down. When the student wouldn’t accept Yuki’s apology, Yuki called her a jerk and continued on her way to class. However something about that moment made Yuki feel excited in a way she never felt before.

Yuki made it to the academy in time and was introduced to the rest of the classroom by the homeroom teacher Rika-sensai (Rika Tatsumi). A different student then hurriedly entered the room. It was Rune Okure (Uta Takami), another transfer student. She introduced herself by saying her strength is she’s the most competitive person in the universe. Her weakness is also that she’s the most competitive person in the universe. Today’s lesson was the history of why pro wrestling became the most important profession in the country. It is because pro wrestlers protect the Earth from aliens! Once there was an evil alien who invaded the planet threatening to conquer it when a wrestler challenged it to a wrestling match. The wrestler won and when the bell rang, the entire area was enveloped in light, weakening the alien and saving the entire planet.

The sound of the ring bell also has the power to wipe out memories. A side demonstration was put together by a normal civilian (HIMAWARI) who used the ring bell to repel a pickup artist (Tetsuya Koda). She had to keep ringing it though because once the artist lost his memory, he would forget what had happened and begin flirting with her again. Back in the classroom Rune asked Rika-sensai if a wrestler ever lost to an alien? Rika told her so far it has never happened. Pro wrestlers are the strongest. Rune found that last sentence to be interesting and repeated it to herself…

Later in the day, Yuki was visited by three members of the school’s Discipline Committee (Suzume, Raku & Haru Kazashiro) who are there to enforce the rules of good behavior, purity and integrity. They noticed her’s blonde hair goes against their rules so they started calling her a delinquint who is impure and violating compliance. Their solution was to dye her hair black straight away! They all grabbed Yuki and brought out a bottle of hair dye when all of a sudden the student who Yuki bumped into earlier came out to save her! The student is Toga Amasawa and it turns out she is so popular in the school that other students formed a fan club, which goes against the Discipline Committee’s rules. Yuki & Toga freed themselves from the Committee’s clutches and were about to make their escape when another group of students suddenly approached them.

To the tune of “Timing” by Black Biscuits, three students made their entrance to the ring. They were all members of the Student Council: President Shoko Domanakajima (Shoko Nakajima), Secretary Shinogono Suzuki (Shino Suzuki) and Vice President Mahrio Kiryunen (Mahiro Kiryu). The Council were here to crack down on the Committee’s strict and tyrannical ways. After chasing the Committee away, the Council then tried to recruit Yuki and Toga to join their side because they are currently understaffed. Toga wasn’t interested and walked off by herself, leaving Yuki behind. She didn’t want to join but all of a sudden Rune ran in saying she will do it alongside her! Looks like Yuki has no choice but to go along with it.

With her first day of school finished, Yuki walked home in the rain where she once again saw Toga down the street. Toga had found a kitten that was getting soaked in the rain so he was doing what he could to help it. Yuki joined in and had a talk where Toga explained his poor family background to her. Feeling sympathetic, Yuki asked Toga to meet her at this same spot tomorrow so she can help him take care of the kitten too.

The next day at the Student Council meeting, Rune suddenly ran into the room panicking. She told everyone something weird has happened to the Discipline Committee. The Committee then arrived singing and dancing to “Cosmic Treat” by Perfume then introduced themselves as Haruchi (Haru Kazashiro), Ra-chan (Raku) and Suzumebachi (Suzume). Together the three of them make up Panic! Shoko realized that they had been taken over by aliens so they must fight to bring them back to their senses! A wrestling match suddenly broke out and despite a moment when Rune got in the way, the Council were victorious in the end. The bell rang and the Discipline Committee returned to normal, remembering why they wanted to be pro wrestlers in the first place (to take naps during matches, do Kamen Rider poses and become cooler than everyone else). They also all remembered they got Fs in their mock exams which is why they thought becoming plain and strictly following the rules would solve their problems. Yuki then taught them the lesson that pro wrestlers are strong and cool because they are true towards what they like.

Everyone then started to wonder how and why the Committee were taken over by aliens. They brought up having a black notebook that contains information on all of the transfer students when all of a sudden a loud sound made them all fall to the ground, clutching their heads in pain. When they recovered they all noticed the notebook had gone missing! Rune told everyone they need to get help from a teacher and ran off to go look for Rika-sensai. She found her in the science lab where she was trying to convince Toga to drink a special liquid that would turn her into the perfect pro wrestler! Toga refused and had to physically stop Rika from forcing her to drink it when Rune made her late entrance…

Rune returned to the others with an alarming update. Both Rika & Toga had also been taken over by aliens! The two then showed up singing and dancing to “UFO” by Pink Lady. Yuki tried to check if Toga was ok but he pushed her away, making the Student Council feel the need to start another wrestling match to save them. Again Rune stepped in trying to help but got in the Council’s way. However the Council recovered and were able to win, ringing the bell to restore Rika & Toga’s memories. Rika realized that her love for students had gotten out of control and she was no longer fit to be a teacher. Toga meanwhile admitted to Yuki that she wants actually wants to wear the same uniform as everyone else because she likes cute, girly things too. She promised not to hide her girlish side from Yuki for now on.

The situation had now become an emergency so Rika went to look for her transfer student documents to figure out what was going on. However she too was then struck by the noise attack and the documents went missing in the process. Rika-sensei had no choice but to close the school for everyone’s safety. Yuki and Shoko decided to walk home together when Suzuki chased after them, telling them that Mahiro had gotten herself into danger! She left her school bag behind and when she went back to the classroom to get it, she found Rune sitting alone trying to cover up the transfer student documents! Mahiro grabbed them wondering what it was and noticed the photograph on Rune’s document was that of a completely different person (Haruna Neko)! Before Mahiro could do anything about it, Rune knocked her out by shooting beams from her hands at her. The rest of the Student Council arrived and at this point realised that Rune was an alien all this time! Rune confessed it is true. She is actually Urahime of the Ura Earthlings and comes from the most competitive planet in the universe. She has come here to conquer Earth! During the intermission Tatsumi asked everyone in the dressing room where Misao (in Aino’s body) went. Nakajima went looking for her and found her sitting down the stairway. She asked if she was feeling nervous and told her it will be all over soon. Misao/Aino told her she’ll do her best.

Back to the story. Urahime had now revealed her true self by singing and dancing to the song “Invader Invader” by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. She then used her beam to revive Mahiro and take control of her. Suzuki ran towards them trying to save her friend but Urahime hit her with the same beam, taking control of her too. Shoko & Yuki now had to fight the three of them in a wrestling match with Shoko trying to get her friends to snap back to normal. However the power of friendship was not powerful enough to overwhelm Urahime’s beams so Shoko needed Yuki’s help to beat them. Shoko pinned Urahime and Yuki rang the bell to bring everyone back to normal.

Urahime showed regret for her actions and promised to reform if she could be allowed to join the Academy so she can study pro wrestling. Shoko gave her her endorsement because she enjoyed fighting her so much and wants to do it more. Suzuki called this a historic moment that needs to be written down. Mahiro said this school is so great that she’s definitely going to repeat the year. And so our heroes had saved Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling Academy from an alien invasion! The End.

No wait, that’s not it just yet. The story had finished and Misao/Aino gathered all the cast members to the ring when suddenly Hyper Misao walked out on the stage. Everyone thought it was Yuki Aino in Misao’s body but she dropped the act and admitted there was no body swap to begin with. Aino dropped her act too and showed everyone a video to explain what was going on. Back when Misao drank her energy drinks to finish writing the script she actually gave up, broke free from her chair and left her office. Aino caught her trying to leave the building and tried to stop her. Misao said the script was completed but she isn’t confident it will be good so she wants to disappear for a while. She’s caused everyone enough trouble already and suggested Koda can book four matches on the fly as a replacement show. Misao then ran off, leaving Aino by herself. Aino could hear other people approaching the building so she came up with a plan on the spot to pretend that somebody abducted Misao and Misao swapped bodies with Aino in the process.

Back in the ring everyone was coming to terms with the truth. Suzuki thought it made sense because body swaps don’t work that way. Nakajima however pointed out it does happen that way in pro wrestling! Raku then realized that all this time it was Aino who handled all of the preparations and rehearsals while Misao was missing. Misao apologized and talked about how last year she got injured right before “HYPE! 2”. When she came back and won the Princess Tag Team Titles with Nakajima, she had decided on the plot for this year’s show. However this year she got injured before the show again and became worried she lost everyone’s trust. She decided to run away but secretly came back today to watch the dress rehearsal and full performance. She saw all these amazingly talented people make her script turn out a hundred million times better than she expected so she had no choice but to walk out and apologize to everyone.

Aino could understand Misao’s regrets because she has many regrets too. When she was a child her sister Nodoka Tenma and their father would perform in community musicals together. She loved watching them but whenever she was asked if she would like to join them, she never had the confidence to do it. She always regretted that so when she was offered the main role of today’s show this time she wouldn’t refuse. She thanked Misao for coming up with today’s script and giving her this opportunity. When Tenma graduated from Tokyo Joshi Pro three years ago, it left Aino with a big gap in her wrestling life and she ended up feeling like she was stuck in a maze. Then when Sayuri Namba’s graduation took place recently, she realized she was never alone. She just avoided taking the time to look at everything surrounding her. The warm and uplifting TJPW ring helps broaden her world and she loves fighting in front of the fans. She is passionate now but wants to get even more passionate so she challenged Misao to a match right there, right now!

After a replay of the intro (both times included a Namba cameo) allowed the two wrestlers to get into their gear, the main event singles match between Hyper Misao and Yuki Aino began. Misao took the microphone and told everyone this is her first singles match since coming back from injury. It is a match she cannot afford to lose and she wants to be passionate from the bottom of her heart. But when she reached out to shake Aino’s hand she got a cheap shot in by kicking her in the gut. But Aino got Misao into the corner and started a Train Attack featuring the cast of the show all still acting in character. The match then became more normal and even serious afterwards. As it entered its final few minutes, Misao applied the Crossface Chicken Wing and almost smothered Aino with it but she was able to reach a rope break. Misao then climbed the top rope but Aino grabbed her and did a Super Side Suplex. They then blocked each other’s signature moves until Aino was able to pull off the Venus DDT. However Aino was too slow to make the pin and only got a two count out of it. Misao was also able to kick out of a Side Suplex and do a Flying Cross Body for a nearfall of her own when the bell rang to signal a time limit draw.

Misao told Aino after the match that is was super exciting. She doesn’t know if it’s because she has so many feelings built up inside her but this was the first time she did a singles match in such a bad mental state. Her heart has never burned hotter than it had from fighting Aino today. She trusts everybody in TJPW which is why she wants everyone to trust her. She wanted Aino to have the main role today because she always tries to help others stay calm and collected, even if it means she never gives priority to her own passions. So she was so happy when Aino approached her asking for a singles match against each other to happen on this show. Aino said Misao always puts herself down when she should never be saying things like that. Everyone here thinks Misao’s ideas are funny, they all love her for it and it makes them sad whenever she says things like that. Nakajima then spoke on the mic, telling Misao that while working hard on your own can be a good thing, is can also be a bad thing. Everyone has fun working on “HYPE!” so she shouldn’t be worrying too much. She then passed the microphone to Kiryu who admitted she had nothing to say after watching the match. Tatsumi scolder her but what she meant was she has nothing else to say that others haven’t already said. Misao took the mic back and got to close out the show. She said it didn’t felt right to do the the first two times but she’s sure it will get better as they go along. “I get HYPE! We get HYPE!”

Part of that vision is getting one of DDT’s other founders MIKAMI to take part in the debut show. He will face the similarly aged TAKA Michinoku in what might be Super Japan’s inaugural match.

Also announced for the show are Kuroshio TOKYO Japan, The Brahman Brothers, Fuminori Abe and Ippanjin Munenori Sawa. Takagi and The Brahmans all want Yuji Nagata to be on the show but he keeps turning them down.

5b. Rika Tatsumi eliminated Maki Itoh with a School Boy (11:25).
5c. Kaya Toribami eliminated Shoko Nakajima with a School Boy (15:01).
6. Costume Change Match: Mizuki, Suzume, Pom Harajuku & Yoshiko Hasegawa defeated Wakana Uehara, HIMAWARI, Hyper Haru & Toga when Mizuki pinned Haru with the Cutie Special (12:10).

After skipping 2024, the annual Tokyo Joshi Pro show that is only open to Wrestle Universe members was brought back this year. It is the show where once a year things in TJPW are not as they should be. The main event was an 8-Woman Tag where everyone was given a different wrestler’s costume and they were encouraged to behave like the person they dress up as. One team consisted of Wakana Uehara as Miyu Yamashita, HIMAWARI as Shoko Nakajima, Haru Kazashiro as Hyper Misao (temporarily renaming herself Hyper Haru) and Toga as Haruna Neko. The other team were all dressed up as The Up Up Girls! That meant Mizuki was Shino Suzuki, Suzume was Raku, Pom Harajuku was Uta Takami and Yoshiko Hasegawa was Miu Watanabe. The Fake Up Up Girls even dance to “I Don’t Want To Lose” to get themselves motivated and it helped them get the win.

It turns out you can apply the game of Werewolf to pro wrestling. It was a 5 Way Match where the five competitors were unknowingly split into two sides. Three of them were Citizens and two were Werewolves. Two Count Pinfalls were in effect and the first side to eliminate two players from the other team would win. Every three minutes the match would pause so everyone could deduce who the Werewolves were before going back to fighting. There was also a bonus Fortune Teller role given to one of the Citizens where they were allowed to nominate one person and be told if they were a Werewolf or not. Suzuki was the Fortune Teller and she made Maki Itoh reveal she was a Werewolf. Itoh then eliminated Suzuki but was beaten by Rika Tatsumi shortly after that. With one Werewolf left, Tatsumi was heavily suspected to be one because according to Nakajima, Tatsumi normally behaves like a Werewolf. However Kaya Toribami then rolled up Nakajima from behind to pin her, revealing she was the other Werewolf all along and the Werewolf team had now won the match!

Four of the most athletic wrestlers in TJPW were put into a tag match that tested their brain power as much as their physical abilities. After every 1 Count Pinfall, the winner would be asked an elementary school question. Whichever team gets three questions right first would win. Nobody understood the rules at first but eventually figured them out. They also got a bunch of questions wrong. Gradually the two teams had 2 points each and scrambled to get 1 Count pins. Takami got one on Yamashita and scored the final point to get the win for herself and Watanabe. It was not Yamashita and Arisu Endo’s brightest moment that’s for sure.

I don’t know what Hyper Misao did but she convinced Mahiro Kiryu & Moka Miyamoto to take up the capes and masks to become superheroes just like her. However two of their opponents Yuki Aino & Haruna Neko pulled out of the match on short notice due to stomach pains and were replaced by the luchadoras Yuki Caras & Mil Nekocaras. They teamed up with Raku who seemingly disappeared during the match only to be replaced by a dancing skeleton. No it wasn’t La Parka, it was La Karuka! The lucha trio took over until Nekocaras failed to do the 619 and injured her legs from bouncing off the ropes. Misao pinned her with La Magistral Cradle to give the superheroes the win.

More international flair was brought to TJPW in the match before that. Ivy Steele fought Kira Summer in a match pitting Great Britain against Australia. Summer entered the ring dressed in a bush costume while carrying a stuffed koala toy. She offered Steele some Vegemite before the match but Steele refused because she didn’t want to eat it. Summer forced her to taste it while the wrestled causing Steele to kick away the koala toy in anger. Summer got some payback by beating her with the Samoan Drop.

Compared to everything else on the show, Yuki Kamifuku versus Chika Nanase was quite normal. Kamifuku teased Nanase by calling her so uninteresting it’s almost pitiful. Nanase was fired up to fight her but Kamifuku was the one standing tall in the end.
