The day some people thought they would never see has finally come. Cherry, the resident female wrestler on the Union roster who has always claimed to be very young has revealed her true age. Cherry lost the Age Contra Makeup match to Emi Sakura, who was wrestling on behalf of an injured Mio Shirai. Cherry was defeated with one of her own signature moves as well as from some interference from Mio. Defeated, Cherry said she was born on 14th May, 1974 which makes her 37 years old going on 38. Cherry told the audience she debuted at 30 years old and did so because it was her dream to become a wrestler, no matter how old she was. Cherry’s passport was flashed onto the giant screen behind her to serve as confirmation while a ten bell salute took place in the background.

While at first Shirai thankful for Sakura winning the match, she wasn’t so thrilled with her when she asked if it was necessary for Cherry to reveal her age. Mio told Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama afterwards to “go back to Thailand” and then threatened them with deportation. She did give Cherry a sincere round of applause though.

That wasn’t all of the big news that took place. BIG “G” BANG have grabbed some gold and became the new BJW Tag Team Champions! The large pairing of Shuji Ishikawa & Shigehiro Irie were too much for Yoshihito Sasaki & Shinobu and they defeated the champions to bring a new prize into Union. Big Japan has already determined Abdullah Kobayashi & Ryuji Ito as the No. 1 Contenders for the Tag Title and they will travel to Union on 17th June to challenge for the belts. Speaking of Ishikawa and Kobayashi, they will be fighting each other tomorrow for the BJW Death Match Championship.

And of course there was the main event. Poor Ken Ohka. The man fights his heart out each and every time he enters the ring but rarely does he succeed. The odds of him winning the DDT Extreme Title from Yuko Miyamoto were stacked high from the beginning. They were to fight each other in a match that allowed flourescent lighttubes and Union merchandise to be used as weapons. Despite Miyamoto having an injured foot and Ohka’s attempts to attack it with DVDs, the challenger just could not win and was eventually submitted with a Manji Cobra. Ohka was in tears after the match, as he usually is, but he passionately thanked everyone for their support.

The 1990’s indie wrestlers involved in the battle between New Sanshiro Takagi and New Keizo Matsuda were Takashi Okano (IWA Japan), Death Min Ho (one of Poison Sawada’s first gimmicks), Kyoko Ichiki (IWA Japan & GAEA), Chiharu (AJW), Tsunehito Naito (UWF), Survival Tobita (plus Va-Gon the ape-man terrorising the audience) and finally Tarzan Goto (FMW). At first Goto sided with with New Matsuda until he decided to beat up both of them with chairs and win the match for himself. When he left, Takagi and Matsuda began to fight again. HARASHIMA arrived and got Takagi and Matsuda to shake hands and reconcile. But as they shook hands, they accidentaly bumped heads and knocked each other dizzy, possibly bringing an end to New Sanshiro Takagi & New Keizo Matsuda.

Despite being on the winning team, GENTARO was attacked and abducted by the Goro family after the match. Goro Tsurumi took off his shoes and put one of them over his hand before knocking out GENTARO with a Spinning Backfist.

Hiroshi Fukuda continues to learn that love can hurt people. He lost to Rion Mizuki and Rumi Kazama in a Handicap Of Love match. For most of it Fukuda refused to lay a hand on Kazama while she kept trying to knock some sense into him. He finally began to fight and even delivered the Perfect Plex, only for Kazama to kick out at one. Kazama was then able to lock on her version of a Dragon Sleeper to submit her lovesick protege. After the match, Fukuda accepted the fact that Mizuki and Kazama are a couple but asked Rumi to kick him in the head one more time. She did so and then she kissed him on the cheek before all three left the ring together.

The relationship between Union and Big Japan will continue with another joint show set to take place on 18th July in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuji Hino defeated Masa Takanashi (c) with the F***’N Bomb (26:10).

A miracle performance was needed by Masa Takanashi to survive against Yuji Hino but even a miracle would not have been enough to prevent what happened today. Hino crushed Takanashi’s dreams and now adds the KO-D Openweight Title to his collection along with the KO-D Tag Team Title. Masa tried to outwit Hino with “Operation Eddie Guerrero“. He tricked Hino into thinking he was about to win the match by countout, only for Takanashi to sneak back into the ring and knock Hino into Yukinori Matsui. Takanashi then threw the KO-D belt into Hino’s hands and acted like he was hit over the head with it. The plan would have worked perfectly if Tsurumi Amon had not stopped Matsui from ending the match on DQ and explained to him what happened. The match continued and it eventually led to a moment of déjà vu when Masa attempted to give Hino the Avalanche Takatonic. It was the same move he attempted on Daisuke Sekimoto back in 2010. Unfortunately, just like the one he tried on Sekimoto it was blocked and Hino leapt down to the canvas, crushing Takanashi beneath him with an Implant. One frightening F***’N Bomb later and Yuji Hino is your new KO-D Champion.

Yuji Hino now holds both the KO-D Title and the KO-D Tag Team Title in DDT, meaning that he and Crying Wolf currently rule the roost. The aftermath saw HARASHIMA confirming his status as Hino’s first challenger while Kota Ibushi & Danshoku Dino appeared to remind Hino & Yasu Urano of their upcoming KO-D Tag Title match.

Kota Ibushi made his long awaited return to the ring after an eight month absence. After surgury and rehabilitation for his dislocated left shoulder, Ibushi was ready to wrestle again and who better for his first match back than El Generico? The left shoulder was targeted a lot by Generico, including a moment where he drover Ibushi’s shoulder into the steel post outside the ring in an attempt to win by countout. Ibushi turned the tables and delivered some powerful moves without skipping a beat including a Bermuda Triangle Quebrada, Liger Bomb and a top rope Reverse Frankensteiner. Unfortunately for the Golden Star, his return to the ring ended in a defeat and Ibushi became the latest victim to the dreaded Top Turnbuckle Brainbuster. When asked how his first match back went, Ibushi said it felt good and it was interesting. When asked about his goals for the future, Ibushi said his thoughts are one the Budokan Hall show and the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title. Generico said he wanted another match against Ibushi.

It was announced that Tatsumi Fujinami will compete at the Budokan Hall show in August.

New World Japan got one over on Homoiro Clover Z and Tsurumi Amon. Sanshiro Takagi had to choose an extra partner for him and Takao Soma to team with otherwise they would had have to fight in a handicap match. Takagi brought in an American wrestler named Andy Palafox to be the third man. However, nobody said Takagi had to pick just one wrestler. So he made a second pick to make this a 4-On-3 Handicap match, a Luchador named Hero Amon! The nWJ was able to win when Takagi & Soma double-teamed Makoto Oishi while Danshoku Dino was too busy kissing Palafox to stop them.

After the match Tsurumi Amon appeared and condemned Takagi for pulling off his scheme. Takagi said he wanted Hero Amon to be the DDT General Manager and requested an Amon Contra Amon match over the GM job to take place on 20th May. However, Gorgeous Matsuno suddenly entered the ring and attacked Hero Amon. Tsurumi picked Matsuno to fight Hero Amon on his behalf.

Hikaru Sato defeated DJ Nira in an odd fashion. Both wound up tangled to each other with submission holds, Nira with an Ankle Hold on Sato and Sato with an Armbar on Nira. Sato was able to clamp Nira’s free hand with his feet and Nira verbally submitted. However, neither man could break free and they had to be rolled out of the ring for and away from ringside while they were still entangled.

The 10-Man Tag Team match used a “No Touch” rule for tagging in wrestlers. In other words, wrestlers could simply tag in a partner whenever they left the ring just like in Lucha Libre. Daisuke Sasaki came up with the idea after spending time in Mexico.

After defeating Keisuke Ishii in the opener, KAI told the DDT fans he will beat Kenny Omega on 27th May and bring the AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Title back to All Japan. He was then booed. Ishii said he had no confidence when he left the All Japan Dojo he had no confidence. He gained confidence thanks to DDT and he is proud to be a DDT wrestler.

Rather than use a traditional time limit for the dark match, DDT decided to let it last until 11:50am so the show could begin at noon as planned. They have a habit of doing that sometimes to the point where the dark match literally gets interrupted by the intro movie.

The man formerly known as Michael Nakazawa was not happy with having his name changed to Don Michael. So he changed his name to one he likes, Michael Suwa. When New World Japan defeated Do Hentai Dan on this show, he decided to avoid any more trouble and changed his name to Don Michael again.

Sanshiro Takagi got the victory and decided to give Nakazawa the name Don Michael. If Takao Soma had won the match, he would have used the name Michael Bo. If Tomomitsu Matsunaga had won the match he would have used the name Iker Koyama. If the match would have gone to a draw Michael would have been renamed Batten Nakazawa.

Yuji Hino scored even more momentum by pinning Masa Takanashi in the main event. He countered the Takatonic into the F***N’ Bomb to get the win for Crying Wolf. Antonio Honda said after the match it will be déjà vu on 4th May and Yuji Hino will become the new KO-D Openweight Champion. Hino told Takanashi that the F***’N Bomb is too intense for him and already declared victory over their title match. Meanwhile tensions were stirring between Yasu Urano, HARASHIMA and KUDO as they prepare for their Triple Threat No. 1 Contender match.

As promised, Makoto Oishi cashed in his contract and became Ken Ohka for the night. New World Japan and Homoiro Clover Z will clash again in Korakuen Hall on 4th May. The match is being advertised as the final showdown between the two groups. It was supposed to be Sanshiro Takagi, Takao Soma & Yoshiaki Yago Vs Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi & Masao Inoue. However, Takagi said that Yago will not be available. He will find a replacement for Yago instead.

Keisuke Ishii will take on All Japan wrestler KAI on 4th May. KAI recently criticised DDT, saying DDT wrestlers are not real pro wrestlers. Ishii was infuriated when he found out about those comments and demanded to face KAI and defend DDT’s pride. Ishii promises to crush KAI for his insults. After intermission, Tsurumi Amon announced he got in contact with All Japan and confirmed the match will take place in DDT.

Before Match #3 began, Hikaru Sato boasted that with Kenny Omega currently in Canada and Kota Ibushi out of action, Do Hentai Dan were now the major tag team in DDT. He also said Kana is a better wrestler than Mio Shirai because she has bigger breasts. Michael Nakazawa was his usual pervy self. He put a ball gag in Mio’s mouth and told her “I want to go home with you” while applying a Camel Clutch. Triple Tails.S won the match when Mio low blowed Nakazawa when he was about to give Kana a Brainbuster. Kana then kicked his head off.

DDT will be holding a “Nature School Wrestling” show on 6th May containing a 5 Way match. It will be Kota Ibushi Vs HARASHIMA Vs Gota Ihashi Vs Ken Ohka Vs El Generico!

Masa Takanashi will have an important announcement on 15th June.

Yuji Hino picks up some extra gold before his KO-D Openweight Title match next month. He and Yasu Urano got their chance to win back the KO-D Tag Team Championship from New World Japan and they made it count. Now Yuji gets to focus on his match with Masa Takanashi while Yasu Urano prepares for the Triple Threat No. 1 Contender bout on the same show.

After Match #5, Antonio Honda whispered something to Mr. #6. The kid then picked up the microphone and challenged Kenny Omega for a shot at the AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Title! Kenny told #6 he would like the match to happen someday.

Sanshiro Takagi and Yoshiaki Yago confronted each other in the ring at the beginning of the show. After some arguing they made a deal. Yago would team with Takagi in the semi-main event. But if they won the match, DDT would never hold another show in his hometown again. They went on to defeat Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda but were persuaded by Urano to continue holding DDT shows in Toyama. It also looks like Yago might be joining nWJ.

After the main event, Ken Ohka invited Masa Takanashi to wrestle a match in Union.

There were some shenanigans going on between Homoiro Clover Z and Ken Ohka during the night. It began when Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi stole Ohka’s ringside banner. Later on, their own banner went missing. Dino was able to reclaim it when he and Oishi defeated Daisuke Sasaki & DJ Nira.

Ken Ohka surprised everyone when he was the last man standing in the DDT Extreme Survivor Challenge. The challenge was split into two parts. It began as a Six Man Tag Team match. The winning team would then face each other in a 3 Way Elimination match. Shockingly, Ken Ohka was able to defeat both of his partners, Big Rude and Isami Kodaka to win the challenge and earn a shot at Yuko Miyamoto and the DDT Extreme Title. Shuji Ishikawa is putting his faith in Ohka and promises to build up support for him when he faces Miyamoto.

Princess Makoto and Mio Shirai were fighting over the non-existant Union Sexy Championship during their tag team match.

Goro Tsurumi made an appearance after his two sons made a successful Japanese debut. He called out GENTARO and had his two sons ambush him. GENTARO managed to escape when he escaped Tsurumi’s grasp and ducked a Backblow from Goro Jr.

GAMI told Cherry that her passport has been sent over to an Executive Director she knows. Unfortunately GAMI does not remember his name or address. Meanwhile, Cherry Vs Mio Shirai is set for “GOLDEN UNION 2012” in Korakuen Hall on 4th May. This time if Mio Shirai loses, she will have to make her next appearance without wearing any make-up. You know how some women look completely different without make-up? Yeah, this could potentially get nasty and ruin fantasies for some people.

Hiro Tsumaki will return to Union on 4th May.

DDT are planning ahead with their KO-D Title matches in the next couple of months. A 3 Way No. 1 Contender’s Match will take place between HARASHIMA, KUDO and Yasu Urano on 4th May. The winner will face the KO-D Openweight Champion in Sapporo on 27/5. Also, this year’s King Of DDT tournament will take place on 30th June and 7th July.

Despite losing the match for his side, Yasu Urano told Masa Takanashi that he will not hold the KO-D Title for long. Yano said his Crying Wolf stablemate Yuji Hino is the strongest fighter in DDT history and that it would be he taking on Hino for the KO-D Title in Sapporo. HARASHIMA gave Takanashi encouragement and wished him luck. KUDO said he guarantees 100% that he will win the 3 Way, win back the KO-D Title and main event Budokan Hall.

The Anti-Establishment of Sanshiro Takagi & Takao Soma has come to an end, only for a new threat to emerge. Takagi & Soma held an impromptu KO-D Tag Team Title match against Homoiro Clover Z duo Akito & Hiroshi Fukuda. The match barely lasted a minute and the champs retained in the quickest title match in the championship’s history. A rematch was set afterwards but without the title on the line. Instead the losing team must have their unit split up. What followed was a big upset when Hiroshi Fukuda pinned Sanshiro Takagi and put an end to their CM Punk inspired ways. However, Takagi had a sneaky trick up his sleeve. He immediately formed a new unit with Takao Soma and one with an even more poisonous inspiration. Takagi’s new unit is called New World Japan, the nWJ!

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship reached a milestone today, gaining its 900th champion and 900th title change. Kana, now representing the Wrestling New Classic promotion, became the 900th champion aswell as the 902nd and 904th champion before finally escaping from the men. Looks like Michael Nakazawa is continuing his advances on the World Famous female wrestler. Nakazawa and Kana will next be inside a DDT ring together on 22/4.

Makoto Oishi will cash in his Ken Ohka Anytime, Anywhere contract in Yokohama on 22/4.

Tomomitsu Matsunaga was approached by Batten Tamagawa to talk about the Right To Challenge Tag Anytime, Anywhere contract. Batten asked if he could be Matsunaga’s tag team partner so they could cash in the contract together and win the KO-D Tag Team Title. Matsunaga refused and said it is because he really wants to win the title for the first time in five years. He thinks Batten is not good enough to tag with him and proved it by beating him in a match.
