Their planned return to Japan this month will still go ahead with the “NEW YEAR JAPAN TOUR 2012” beginning and ending in Shin-Kiba 1st RING on the 26th.

With new ownership comes a new structure for the company. New Beijing will now encourage their vast roster of fighters to follow three simple values: Friendship, Effort and Victory. The new owners and staff are now looking forward to visiting Japan for the upcoming tour.

Cherry said that nobody is safe when they wrestle Kurihara and used Ayumi’s victory over Yoshiko Tamura to win the NWA Women’s Pacific Title and NEO Singles Title last year as an example. Meanwhile Kenny Omega faces a beefier foe in the form of Shigehiro Irie. 2011 was the best year yet for Irie with pinfalls of Kota Ibushi and Shuji Ishikawa aswell as a couple of KO-D Tag Team Title reigns. Meanwhile Omega spent time in New Japan and All Japan, laying claim to the AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Title. His match with Irie could prepare him for a certain future challenger as AJPW’s Shuji Kondo has made it known to the public that he wants to win the title from Omega.

New Union Matches, Yago Explains The SS Susan

March 25, 2011

UNION “SCHOOL ENTRANCE CEREMONY”, 03/04/2011
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Best Of The Super Junior Celebration: Ken Ohka Vs Tatsuhito Takaiwa
2. Top 10 Idol Death Match: Cherry Vs Miyako Matsumoto Vs Tsukasa Fujimoto
3. Seiya Morohashi Vs Yoshiaki Yago
4. Tag Team Gauntlet: Isami Kodaka & Yano K Data Vs Kengo Ohka & Madoka Vs Choun-Shiryu & Cao Zhang (w/ Princess Makoto)
5. Sanshiro Takagi, Genichiro Tenryu & Shigehiro Irie Vs Shuji Ishikawa, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi & Hiro Tsumaki

Cherry takes on two of the best women to come out of Ice Ribbon. Miyako Matsumoto and Tsukasa Fujimoto have both achieved the Triple Crown of titles to win in Ice Ribbon. Matsumoto just edges ahead for holding all titles simultaneously at one point. But if this does turn out to be some sort of hardcore match, Fujimoto has the advantage. You can thank Jun Kasai for that.

Yoshiaki Yago has posted a message on the DDT website explaining why he formed the SS Susan (or Susan Guard) with Kengo Ohka & Madoka. Yago has not been impressed by Union, finding it a promotion filled with unspectacular wrestlers who have no talent. He would get no benefit signing with the Union Sekigun as the sub-brand would only be “drifting the bottom of the world of professional wrestling” for the rest of time. He also laughs at Sanshiro Takagi’s attempts at running the TKG48 stable.

However, Yago has found a cause worth fighting for in Union. He has found someone who has recently struggled to be heard over the ruckus between Shuji Ishikawa’s side and TKG48. Her name is Naomi Susan, the woman in charge of Union outside of the ring. It seems that Yago has fallen for Naomi. He wants to cheer her up and make running Union easier for the pretty lady. So rounded up Kengo Mashimo Ohka and Madoka to form his own team and purge the “non-atheltes” from Union, punish his arch-rival Sanshiro Takagi and bring the “beautiful smile” back to Naomi’s face. Whether or not Naomi actually approves of this and is on their side is not known at the moment.

A Union That Actually Works

March 8, 2011

Yesterday’s results have been updated to correct some mistakes I made due to misunderstanding the translation. Turns out there was more to the 1990s Foreigner Battle Royal than just five Stan Hansens.

The Challenge Right Fight +α Anytime and Anywhere Battle Royal (quite the mouthful there) that will take place in Korakuen Hall on the 27th March will feature at least three Union wrestlers. Who they are has not been announced.

4. 60 Minute Iron Man Match: Cherry Vs Yuki Miyazaki

Ayumi Kurihara was supposed to take part in Match #2 but a recent ankle injury has put her off the card. Hiroyo Matsumoto is her replacement. Dump Matsunaga (Tomimitsu Matsunaga doing a Dump Matsumoto parody) sent an insulting message to Ayumi saying that she never missed any time in the ring from injury, even that time when she hurt her right nipple. Ayumi is not happy with the respone and will be at the show as Hiroyo & GAMI’s corner-girl for the match.

KEIKO is the latest wrestler to debut for UNION, although it is unknown if this is an actual female wrestler or someone from DDT doing a crossdressing gimmick.
