Shuji & Generico Get Extreme Title Shots, Mio Vs Ohka Chain Deathmatch

Shinjuku FACE

1. Ken Ohka Vs Masao Orihara
2. Shuji Ishikawa Vs BENTEN
3. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs El Generico

El Generico has made a big impression on the Union gang. So much so that his return on the Shinjuku FACE doubleshot has him taking on Isami Kodaka for the DDT Extreme Title in the main event of the afternoon show. But whoever wins the championship will have a big challenge ahead of them later on that day.

Nanae Takahashi and Akito will also compete on the show.

UNION “ILLUSION ~VISION~”, 19/09/2011
Shinjuku FACE

1. Big China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Titles: Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa (c) Vs X & X
2. SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title – Chain Deathmatch: Mio Shirai (c) Vs Ken Ohka
3. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi Vs Yoshiaki Yago
4. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka or El Generico (c) Vs Shuji Ishikawa

The ace of Union, Shuji Ishikawa will also get a DDT Extreme Championship match on the 19th. He will be in the main event of the evening show taking on the winner of Kodaka Vs Generico.

The rivalry between Ken Ohka and Mio Shirai has not been a good experience for Ohka. Mio Shirai has embarressed Ken Ohka time and time again by beating him up and putting him to sleep with the Figure 4 Neck Lock on a regular basis. Most recently, Mio won the SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title from Ohka in his first defence, nullifying all of the hard work he did to win the belt. To make it even worse, Mio forced Ohka to wear a dog collar and refer to her as “Master”. Ohka interrupted Mio’s interview at the Union press conference wearing the collar with a chain attached to it, demanding a Chain Deathmatch with the SGP J.r Title on the line. Ohka thought he got one over on Mio when he was able to attach the chain to her wrist while taunting her with the key. However, Mio wrapped the chain around her hand, hit Ohka with a backfist and applied the Figure Four Neck Lock to choke him out before freeing herself.

Masako Takanashi will also compete on the show.

1. Sanshiro Takagi, Shigehiro Irie & Takao Soma defeated Yoshiaki Yago, Kengo Ohka & Madoka when Takagi pinned Yago with the Sitdown Himawari Bomb (10:15).
2. Rock & Roll Deathmatch: Tsuyoshi Kikuchi Vs A.YAZAWA Vs Hiroya Fukuda Vs Big Morohashi ended in a No Contest after a quadruple KO from drinking beer (11:05).
3. Shuji Ishikawa defeated Cherry with a Boston Crab (8:21).
4. Ryan Genesis defeated Hiro Tsumaki with the Death Valley Bomb (6:15).
5. Taichi defeated Ken Ohka with a Necklock (12:54).
6. Sexy Diva Match – DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Sexxxy Eddy with a Super Kick (15:41).
*V4 for Kodaka.

GAMI was the “Sexy DIVA” in attendance for the DDT Extreme Title match. Her role was to be in the corner for Sexxxy Eddy during the main event and constantly interfere on his behalf. She was also dressed as a Budweiser beer girl. Not a pretty sight. However, former joshi wrestler turned AV actress Rumi Kazama came to the rescue for Isami Kodaka and got rid of GAMI with a Lariat. Sexxxy Eddy liked what he saw and tried his luck with Rumi, only to get a big slap across the face. Isami saw his chance and struck Eddy with a Super Kick to get the three count and retain his championship.

Cherry had a huge mountain to climb as she took on Union ace Shuji Ishikawa. Cherry caught the big man off guard by leaping onto him from the entrance ramp before the match began. Shuji didn’t hold back because his opponent was a woman. He stretched her with a Camel Clutch, stood on her abdomen with all of his weight and landed his trademark nasty headbutts. Cherry tried to fight back but was soon locked in a Boston Crab. She wouldn’t quit until Shuji cranked back as far as he could, Lion Tamer style. After the match Shuji offered his commiserations and encouraged her to fight harder for Union.

The rule of the Rock And Roll Deathmatch was that every wrestler had to dance whenever music was played during the match. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi, A.YAZAWA, Hiroya Fukuda and Big Morohashi all became so tired from dancing and wrestling that they began to drink a can of Kirin Beer to regain energy. However, the beer just made them drunk and they all ended up fainting in the ring. Yukinori Matsui called for the match to end and awarded the victory to the can of beer.

Tsuyoshi Kikuchi Vs Yoshiaki Yago will take place on the 19/9 Union doubleshot at Shinjuku FACE.

UNION “BEER FIGHT 2011” Card, New DDT Matches

July 29, 2011

UNION “BEER FIGHT 2011 ~ UNION DAY”, 07/08/2011
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Sanshiro Takagi, Shigehiro Irie & Takao Soma Vs Yoshiaki Yago, Kengo Ohka & Madoka
2. Rock & Roll Deathmatch: Big Morohashi Vs A.YAZAWA Vs Hiroya Fukuda
3. Ken Ohka Vs Taichi
4. Shuji Ishikawa Vs Cherry
5. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs Sexxxy Eddy

Apparently Isami Kodaka wanted to defend the DDT Extreme Title against Cherry in a Sexy Diva Deathmatch but the idea was quickly shot down by Naomi Susan. Instead Kodaka will defend the belt against Canadian sensation (the kind you should have checked by your doctor), Sexxxy Eddy! Doesn’t explain why poor little Cherry now has to fight Shuji Ishikawa. Unless it’s an excuse to dress Shuji up in joshi gear again (*shudders).

Ken Ohka has laid out a challenge to Taichi of New Japan for the show. Ken has promised to unleash his full fighting spirit against Taichi.

Takao Soma is the newest member of the TKG48. His membership number is #38. This will be his first match as part of the group when it battles against their arch rivals the Susan Guard once more.

July 10, 2011

UNION “UNION DRAGONS OF SUMMER IN NAGOYA 2011”, 10/07/2011
Kanayama Asunal Hall

– Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Tsuyoshi Kikuchi (c) defeated Antonio Honda.
1. Shuji Ishikawa defeated Hiroya Fukuda with a Running Kneelift (8:17).
2. Cherry defeated Luscious Latasha with the Cherryton Bomb (7:29).
3. Big Morohashi & Hiro Tsumaki defeated Shigehiro Irie & Toru Sugiura when Tsumaki pinned Sugiura with the Low Leg Lariat (16:24).
4. SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title: Mio Shirai defeated Ken Ohka (c) with the Figure Four Neck Lock (8:16).
*Ken Ohka fails in V1. Mio Shirai becomes the 5th Champion!
– Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Tsuyoshi Kikuchi (c) defeated Antonio Honda.
5. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Ultraman Robin & Ultraman Giant defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi (c) when Ultraman Robin pinned Kikuchi with a Jackknife Hold (10:05).
*Ultraman Robin becomes the 866th champion.
6. TLC Match – DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated El Samurai with the Chair-Assisted Double Knee Drop from the top of the Ladder (12:33).
*V3 for Kodaka.
– Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Tsuyoshi Kikuchi defeated Ultraman Robin (c) with the Fireball Bomb (7:00 pm).
*Tsuyoshi Kikuchi becomes the 867th champion.
– Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Antonio Honda defeated Tsuyoshi Kikuchi (c) with a Backslide Pin (7:10 pm).
*Antonio Honda becomes the 868th champion.

Isami Kodaka defended the DDT Extreme Title against his most experienced challenger to date, El Samurai. This time the title was defended in a proper TLC match with Kodaka climbing to the top of the ladder with a steel chair and leaping off, delivering a Double Knee Drop over the chair and onto El Samurai for the win.

The battle over the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title crossed over to Union when the DDT show ended. During the evening Tsuyoshi Kikuchi constantly thwarted Antonio Honda’s attempts at winning the title from him. It wasn’t until the semi-main event when someone was finally able to beat Kikuchi. That person was Ultraman Robin, who brought along his sidekick Giant Robin to defeat the TKG48 pair of Kikuchi & Sanshiro Takagi. Kikuchi won the title back at the end of the night, only for Antonio Honda to finally catch the champ off guard and become champion again.

Ken Ohka’s problems with Mio Shirai continue with Ohka once again left embarrased by the Triple Tails girl. Shirai defeated Ohka with the Figure Four Neck Lock, a move she has used to get rid of Ohka time and time again. Even worse for Ken, Shirai won the SGP Jr. Heavyweight Title from him in his first defence. And just when Ohka thought it couldn’t get even more embarrassing, Mio handed Ohka a new ‘belt’ he had to wear, a dog collar. Needless to say, Mio is now calling herself Ken Ohka’s master.

Match #3 is said to be Hiro Tsumaki’s best performance to date, particularly his moments in the ring with Toru Sugiura.

Big Morohashi was nominated for the Anal Blast Opening Ceremony election for Sumo Hall. Naomi Susan is enthusiastic in her support for Morohashi in the election.

UNION “UNION DRAGONS OF SUMMER IN NAGOYA 2011”, 10/07/2011
Kanayama Asunal Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs El Samurai

This is a surprise. No one would have guessed that Isami Kodaka’s next DDT Extreme Title defence would be against El Samurai!

One last note, for a while I have been getting Keita Yano’s name wrong. I have mistakenly been calling him Yano K Data all this time, thinking this was a seperate gimmick he only used in Union. Turns out he goes pretty much everywhere dressed as a cross between Doink The Clown and The Joker. The Google Translate site has recently improved its results for translating Japanese into English and vice versa, so now the kanji for his name correctly comes up as Keita Yano instead of Yano K Data. So I’m going to go back through the posts and make the corrections to his name.

*Chou-un Shiryu & Cao Zhang fail in V1. Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa become the 19th Champions!
5. Genichiro Tenryu defeated Tsuyoshi Kikuchi with a Lariat (7:15).
6. El Generico & Yano K Data defeated Shuji Ishikawa & Shinichiro Tominaga when Generico pinned Tominaga with the Brainbustaaaaahhhhh!!!!! (17:11).

7b. MIKAMI defeated Isami Kodaka with the Suicide Bomb from the tope of a ladder (9:43).
7c. Isami Kodaka defeated MIKAMI with a Leglock (6:28).
*V2 for Isami Kodaka.

Isami Kodaka resisted a fierce challenge from MIKAMI to keep the DDT Extreme Championship. In a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match, Isami got the first fall by beating MIKAMI with his own favorite move, the School Boy. MIKAMI’s ladder came into play in the second fall and the challenger’s expert use of the object helped him tie the score. However in the third fall, Kodaka was able to break down MIKAMI’s leg and eventually submit him to stay as champion.

Sanshiro Takagi & Munenori Sawa became Tag Team Champions once more by winning the Big China Unified Nakahara Tag Team Titles from Chou-un Shiryu & Cao Zhang. Their match turned hardcore with plenty of brawling among the crowds plus the use of foreign objects like tables, a bicycle and a pile of DVDs. Princess Makoto even got involved by climbing on top of a barricade and diving onto the challengers. However it just was not meant to be for the New Beijing crew and their illustrious championship is now in the hands of the TKG48. Could this be the rebirth of the “Greatest Title Run Ever”? We will soon find out as it was announced that the first team to challenge the new champs will be The Great Sasuke & Ricky Fuji!

Two KO-D Title Matches, Official Masa Comeback

May 6, 2011

DDT “WHAT ARE YOU DOING 2011”, 19/06/2011
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Masa Takanashi Comeback – Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Masa Takanashi (c) Vs Keisuke Ishii
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Shuji Ishikawa (c) Vs GENTARO
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Shuji Ishikawa or GENTARO (c) Vs Takao Soma

Shuji Ishikawa has a tough challenge ahead for his title reign. He will defend the KO-D Openweight Title against GENTARO on 19th July when GENTARO cashes in his “Anytime And Anywhere” contract. But that is not all for the championship on that night. There will be not one but two KO-D Title matches taking place in Korakuen Hall with the winner of Shuji Ishikawa Vs GENTARO taking on Takao Soma afterwards. Takao Soma has seen his profile in DDT rise ever since he won the Young Drama Cup. Since then, he has taken over the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation and revamped it to be a threat instead of a joke. Now he will have the advantage of being the fresh man in his title match.

We had the surprising return of Masa Takanashi at “MAX BUMP 2011” to announce his comeback match at the 19th June Korakuen Hall show. He will take on Keisuke Ishii in his first match since injuring his right knee last May and it will be for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship. When Masa and Keisuke had a faceoff at “MAX BUMP 2011”, Ishii used the 24/7 rule to his advantage by rolling over Masa with a Small Package to win the title when Masa least expected it. However, Masa quickly did the same to Ishii to win the belt back. Now they will meet in a proper match with the title on the line.

1. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi Vs Genichiro Tenryu
2. Dick Togo & Yasu Urano Vs Seiya Morohashi & Hiro Tsumaki
3. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs MIKAMI

MIKAMI earned a shot at the DDT Extreme Title when he and Jun Kasai defeated Isami Kodaka & Yano K Data at “GOLDEN UNION 2011”.

It will be Tenryu, Sanshiro Takagi & Shigehiro Irie Vs Shuji Ishikawa, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi & Hiro Tsumaki. Takagi allowed Union to rent Kikuchi from TKG48 for the match. Kikuchi had no idea what Takagi was talking about. Tsumaki earns a spot in his biggest match yet after grabbing the upset win in Match #3.
