1. Suguru Miyatake Vs Kouki Iwasaki

Suguru Miyatake is from Nakano and has already become one of the more infamous rookies in DDT history. Recruited in 2013, Miyatake participated in exhibition matches throughout 2014 and kept expecting his official debut to be announced. It wouldn’t happen. Miyatake was not considered ready and his lackluster performances would keep him at trainee level for a long time. DDT General Manager Amon Tsurumi even said he would never debut in 100 years! Well, that debut finally happens here. Kouki Iwasaki is from Sapporo and has trained under Kenichi Yamamoto.

2. Shunma Katsumata Vs Dai Suzuki

Shunma Katsumata is from Chiba and was trained by Yasu Urano. He was originally part of a SMASH training camp but never got to debut before the company closed down. He is one of the first wrestlers in the DNA class to officially debut for DDT when he had his first match in April of this year. I couldn’t find much information for Dai Suzuki.

3. Kazusada Higuchi Vs Kouta Umeda

Kazusada Higuchi is a former sumo wrestler from Hokkaido. He participated in sumo for 7 years and has a record of 140 wins and 128 losses until retiring in January this year. Kouta Umeda is a kickboxer from Kumamoto.

4. Tomoya Kawamura Vs Ryota Nakatsu

Tomoya Kawamura is from Osaka and is a Union young lion. He is the first wrestler to debut from DNA, having his first match in October 2013. Kawamura graduated from Ritsumeikan University and was in the same college wrestling club that Hiroshi Tanahashi came from. Ryota Nakatsu is from Kyoto and was an underground MMA fighter.

5. Shunma Katsumata & Suguru Miyatake Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Ryota Nakatsu
The main event features the winners of the previous matches taking part in a tag team match.

3. Kazusada Higuchi defeated Kota Umeda with a Canadian Backbreaker (11:14).

5. Kazusada Higuchi & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Shun Miyatake & Shunma Katsumata when Hisguchi pinned Katsumata with the Canadian Nodowa Otoshi (17:35).

DDT New Attitude, or DNA for short, is DDT’s new project based around its rookies and dojo students. Many of them were making their official debut on this show. The winners of the four matches qualified for the tag team main event.

First match was Shun Miyatake Vs Koju Iwasaki. Miyatake has been appearing on DDT’s main shows for the past couple of months trying to prove he is ready to graduate but Amon Tsurumi would constantly turn him down. An injury put a stop to that and this was finally his chance. Miyatake was able to win with a Spear which he calls the Heart Attack.

Next up was Shunma Katsumata Vs Dai Suzuki. Katsumata has been wrestling on the main shows since April. Suzuki was appreciative of the support from the crowd despite losing the match. He said he felt the warmth of the fans when he entered the ring and it gave him encouragement.

Match #3 was sumo wrestler vs kickboxer as Kazusada Higuchi faced Kota Umeda. In this case sumo came out the winner when Higuchi submitted Umeda with the Canadian Backbreaker. Umeda refused to shake hands with Higuchi after the match and kicked his arm away.

The last of the singles matches saw Ryota Nakatsu defeat Union rookie Tomoya Kawamura. The underground martial artist countered Kawamura’s Moonsault into a Cross Armbreaker to achieve victory. Kawamura was pretty embarrassed to lose to a debuting wrestler.

The main event paired off the two senior rookies against the two debuting rookies. Miyatake & Katsumata took on Higuchi & Nakatsu. Katsumata attempted the Swan Dive X Factor but Higuchi caught him in mid-air and gave him the Oklahoma Stampede. He lifted him up for the Canadian Backbreaker but then changed it into the Nodowa Otoshi Choke Slam for the three count.

When the matches were over, Amon Tsurumi gave a speech. He said the only way to determine if the event was a success is if the crowd in attendance enjoyed it. The audience gave a big applause in response. Tsurumi commiserated Kawamura and wished him luck that he wouldn’t rot because of it. He then admitted to Miyatake that he got to debut 100 million years earlier than he expected and he congratulated him. Higuchi had the final words, saying when he retired from sumo wrestling he felt like he had given up his dream. But DDT gave him an opportunity and he appreciates it. Together everybody in DNA will do their best.

The next scheduled DNA shows are 9th January in Shinjuku and 5th February in Kitazawa. In Shinjuku, Miyatake will take on Jun Kasai!

7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo defeated Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega (c) when Takeshita pinned Omega with a Cross Arm German Suplex (25:13).
*The Golden Lovers fail in V7. Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo becomes the 50th KO-D Tag Team Champions!

Three title changes were among the highlights from today’s show, the final day fans could vote in the DDT Dramatic General Election. In the main event Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo scored a massive upset victory over the Golden Lovers to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles. For weeks the two young wrestlers were looked down upon by Kenny Omega and even Kota Ibushi a little bit. With Antonio Honda cheering them on from their corner, Takeshita was able to hit the Touchdown on Omega followed by the Sky Twister Press from Endo for a nearfall. Endo went outside to block Ibushi while Takeshita used a Cross Arm German Suplex to finally pin Omega. After the match Kenny admitted defeat and said he leaves the future of DDT to the new champions. Takeshita & Endo thanked the fans for their support and said they will continue to work up to the top.

The DDT Extreme Title changed hands in the semi-main event. Akito beat Danshoku Dino in a Nobody Knows Rules match. The rules were convoluted to say the least. One count pinfalls could end the match, speaking English was banned, complaining about feeling pain was banned, rope breaks were banned, trainees acted as lumberjacks outside the ring and 3 count pinfalls were awarded for both kissing and submitting opponents. Daisuke Kiso needed to have the rules written down just to figure out what was going on. Akito hit the Kinniku Buster on Dino and then he kissed him. Akito then said it was a dream come true for him to face Danshoku Dino in a title match at Korakuen Hall. He was glad to have met him. Kiso recognised that as a confession of love and awarded Akito the match and the Extreme Title!

Finishing off the trio of title changes, the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship now belongs to T2Hide! The match was all about Kazuki Hirata and his Magnum HIRATA antics. He had Shun Miyatake (Trainee) and Hiroshi Fukuda join him dressed as women for his dancing entrance. Shigehiro Irie came close to pinning Hirata several times but his Beast Bomber was countered into a Cradle for the upset. Most surprised of all was Hirata himself. He said he works hard and takes wrestling seriously. Then he started dancing again.

DDT announced a new project dedicated to their new trainees. DDT New Attitude will produce its first show in Kitizawa on 28th November. Shunma Katsumata, Shun Miyatake (Trainee) and Union rookie Tomoya Kawamura join 4 new trainees for the event. In Miyatake’s case it will be recognised as his official debut match. The DNA trainees so far have only been identified as Nakatsu, Umeda, Iwasaki and Higuchi. Nakatsu is from Kyoto and has participated in “underground mixed martial arts”. Umeda is a kickboxer from Kumamoto. Iwasaki is from Sapporo and has trained under Kenichi Yamamoto. Higuchi is a sumo wrestler from Hokkaido.

DJ Nira & Super Sasadango Machine came up with the perfect plan to defeat HARASHIMA. They stole his contact lenses! Nira even swallowed them to make sure HARASHIMA will never get them back. With blurred vision, HARASHIMA was ineffective for a lot of the match. Sasadango stripped Yasu Urano of his shirt and bandana and put them on himself to trick HARASHIMA into thinking he was Urano. HARASHIMA then hit the real Urano with the Somato. Sasadango gave Urano several Lehman Shocks but HARASHIMA came to the rescue by wearing Amon Tsurumi’s glasses. He hit Sasadango with the Somato and Urano got the pin.

An update was given for DDT’s “Wrestling Cannonball” movie that will soon be in production. If I have the translation right the movie will follow three different teams driving to different locations and having matches against local wrestlers. Team A consists of Minoru Suzuki, Sanshiro Takagi & Jun Kasai with Muscle Sakai as their cameraman. Team B is KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi. Team C is Danshoku Dino, HARASHIMA & Kota Ibushi with Michael Nakazawa accompanying them.
