6. Yasu Urano defeated KUDO with an Inside Cradle (13:55).
7. Dick Togo & GENTARO defeated Kota Ibushi & Shigehiro Irie when Togo pinned Irie with the Diving Senton (20:58).

Michael Nakazawa was confronted by the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation in the ring, with group demanding that their former member shave his head bald for siding with Hikaru Sato during his No DQ Hair Vs Hair match with SHF leader Takao Soma. Nakazawa ended up gambling his hair on the DJ Nira Vs Hideki Shiota match. He picked Shiota to win the match but it didn’t matter as the SHF attacked both participants to cause a No Contest and then began to shave off Nakazawa’s hair. DJ Nira also got in on the action much to Nakazawa’s sadness. HARASHIMA, MIKAMI & Daisuke Sasaki ran in to make the save and kick start their Tag match against the group.

When Nakazawa finally reappeared for Match #5, he came out sporting a hairstyle similar to the Brahman Bros (as seen in the pic above). Tadasuke from Osaka Pro stood inside the ring for the entire match. By the time the match was over he couldn’t stop laughing at all of the comedy spots that took place.

Sanshiro Takagi made a surprise appearance for a bonus match against The Great Kayser to start the show. This was his first match in a full DDT show since his move to Union last year. After Sanshiro won with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb, he announced that DDT will donate some of the box office to charity in aid of the victims of the recent disaster.

At the end of the show, DDT referee Yukinori Matsui was given time to speak about his hometown in the Iwate prefecture, which was destroyed by the earthquake. Thankfully, he found out the day before the show that his family was safe and that everyone in the town was in his thoughts.

Due to the rolling blackouts and increased dangers happening in Tokyo right now, DDT has postponed tomorrow’s “NON-FIX” show that was supposed to take place in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

At the moment, DDT’s “JUDGEMENT 2011” 14th Anniversary show is still going ahead on 27th March. Korakuen Hall suffered damage during the earthquake, most of it caused to the ceiling along with some electrical problems. SMASH has postponed its 18th March event at building but Big Japan and Ice Ribbon are still planning on having their Korakuen shows on 21st March take place.

The Battle Royal saw Danshoku Dino, Tigers Mask and surprisingly Kazuki Hirata as the final three wrestlers in the ring. Hirata was hung upside down on the turnbuckles by the other two and ignored for the rest of the match. Tigers Mask injured his knee and Dino injured his arm and they eventually had each other in submission holds targeting their vulnerable limbs. They both gave up and the match was rewarded to Hirata, who was still upside down.

DDT Schedule For January

December 30, 2010

DDT “DOTONBORI STORY 8”, 09/01/2011
Osaka Minami Move On Arena

1. New Year Lottery Battle Royal: Contestants So Far – Hideki Shiota
2. Shoichi Uchida Vs Kazuki Hirata
3. GENTARO & Yasu Urano Vs MIKAMI & Yukihiro Abe
4. HARASHIMA Vs Tanomusaku Toba
5. Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi Vs KUDO & MIYAWAKI
6. Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega Vs Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie
7. Antonio Honda, Daisuke Sasaki & Hikaru Sato Vs Takao Soma, Michael Nakazawa & Tomimitsu Matsunaga

Looks like Hikaru Sato has been kicked out of the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation. The group was taken over by Takao Soma when he turned heel at “NON-FIX 12.1“. Danshoku Dino will be trying to make his own version of the MEN’s Club work by teaming with Makoto Oishi again. Last time round Oishi wasn’t so positive about the idea. It’s been a while since I’ve seen MIYAWAKI wrestle. Will the scream of “Death Penalty” be echoed in the Move On Arena?

DDT “NEW YEAR SUPER DODON WAVE! IN NAGOYA 2011”, 16/01/2011
Kanayama Asunal Hall

1. Kota Ibushi, HARASHIMA & Mr. #6 Vs Takao Soma, Michael Nakazawa & Tomimitsu Matsunaga
2. Umemura Personal Computer School Offer Match: Kenny Omega Vs Danshoku Dino
3. KO-D Tag Team Title: Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki (c) Vs MIKAMI & Onryo

The dark spirit Onryo of FMW fame popped into DDT a couple of days ago to team with MIKAMI. Now they have a shot at the KO-D Tag Team Champions Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki, aka FROM THE NORTHERN COUNTRY. Maybe MIKAMI will turn into something like Onryo to help them win the belts. You can bet Mr. #6 hasn’t forgotten about the time when the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation won the Trios Triple Crown from him a few months back. Hell hath no fury like an 8 year old scorned.

350 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. MIKAMI & Tanomusaku Toba defeated Akito & Kazuki Hirata when MIKAMI pinned Hirata with the Swanton Bomb (9:34).
2. Hikaru Sato & Keisuke Ishii defeated Toru Owashi & Hideki Shiota when Sato submitted Shiota with a Cross Armbreaker (11:09).
3. Shoichi Uchida defeated Yukihiro Abe with a Jackknife Hold (7:36).
4. Muscle Offer Match: Muscle Sakai & Danshoku Dino Vs Yasu Urano & Norikazu Fujioka ended in a Double DQ (8:30).
5. Sanshiro Takagi & Shigehiro Irie defeated Kenny Omega & Takao Soma when Irie pinned Soma with the Diving Teddy Bear (14:50).
6. Dick Togo & Daisuke Sasaki defeated HARASHIMA & KUDO when Sasaki pinned HARASHIMA with the NOW OR NEVER (16:45).

The main event ended with a huge win for Daisuke Sasaki, pinning the KO-D Openweight champion on route to their title match next week. He unleashed the NOW OR NEVER, which looks like some sort of Small Package, to get the three count and add a lot of momentum to title challenge.

Match #3 had the wrestlers involved fight in cosplay. Yukihiro Abe was dressed as Ryomou Shimei from Ikkitousen. I am not ashamed to say I am a fan of that manga.

Shigehiro Irie’s finisher, the Diving Teddy Bear, is a Banzai Drop. This rookie has been doing very well so far.
