DDT “REVIVAL! OSAKA DOTONBORI STORY 13”, 12/01/2014
Osaka Dotonbori Arena
380 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. Makoto Oishi defeated Soma Takao with a European Clutch (6:40).
2. Next KO-D 6-Man Tag Challenger Final: Antonio Honda, Daisuke Sasaki & Shoichi Uhida defeated Hikaru Sato, Michael Nakazawa & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Honda pinned Nakazawa with the Diving Fist Drop (11:23).
3. HARASHIMA & KUDO defeated HAYATA & TORU when HARASHIMA pinned TORU with the Somato (11:55).
4. MIKAMI, Tetsuya Endo & Konosuke Takeshita defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Guanchulo when Takeshita pinned Guanchulo with a German Suplex (7:32).
5. Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Masa Takanashi when Ibushi pinned Takanashi after the PK Heart α (11:33).
6. Next Extreme Title Challenger 4 Way Match – Pin Nakazawa Match: Keisuke Ishii defeated Danshoku Dino, Yasu Urano and DJ Nira (12:10).
6a. Michael Nakazawa eliminated DJ Nira with a Backslide Pin Submission (7:53).
6b. Michael Nakazawa & Keisuke Ishii eliminated Yasu Urano with a Sunset Flip & Bridging Pin Combo (9:00).
6c. Keisuke Ishii defeated Michael Nakazawa with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (12:10).
7. Next KO-D Challenger Final: Shigehiro Irie defeated Akito with the Package Piledriver (18:14).

Shigehiro Irie defeated Akito in today’s main event to earn a KO-D Openweight Title shot with HARASHIMA on 26/1, a rematch of last year’s “RYOGOKU PETER PAN” main event. Akito was in tears after losing but Irie thanked him because they both worked hard. Irie described his defeat to HARASHIMA last year as a great shame he cannot forget. He promised to return to Osaka as champion.

Amon Tsurumi came up with the rules for the 4 Way match to determine the next DDT Extreme Title challenger. Michael Nakazawa was added into the match but was ineligible to win. Instead it was up to Danshoku Dino, Keisuke Ishii, Yasu Urano or DJ Nira to pin or submit him in order to win outright. However, if Nakazawa was able to pin or submit any of the other wrestlers, that wrestler would be eliminated from the match. DJ Nira was the first to go when he submitted to a Backslide Pin (yes you read that right). Urano was next when Nakazawa rolled him over with a Sunset Flip and Ishii joined in with a Bridging Pin at the same time. Danshoku Dino had Nakazawa rocked with the Lip Lock and Danshoku Driver but Ishii cut him off, threw him out of the ring and gave Nakazawa the Double Arm DDT for the win.

Tetsuya Endo was feeling very upset when it was time for his 6-man Tag Team match. He told Sanshiro Takagi that he lost his wallet in the parking lot earlier that day and when he found it, all of his money was gone. Takagi asked how much money did he lose and Endo said he lost 20,000 yen. Toru Owashi interrupted to announce the match was now called the Sanshiro Takagi New Year Cup and a prize would be given to the winners. Konosuke Takeshita won the match with Endo and MIKAMI on his side, so a lottery was held between them. Takeshita won the lottery and was given a cash prize of 20,000 yen. Endo said he will make up for his lost money by beating the Golden Lovers with Takeshita tomorrow. Takeshita said he and Endo “Will show the future of DDT.”

Osaka was the site of a Shit Heart ♥ Foundation reunion as Hikaru Sato, Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Michael Nakazawa team up to face the Monster Army with a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title shot on the line. Nakazawa also brought back his lotion to add some slippery shenanigans to the match. It all fell apart for them when each wrestler tried to do the Ultimate Venom Arm on their opponents. The Monster Army all ducked and the Foundation all hit the move on each other. Antonio Honda then finished off Nakazawa with the Diving Fist Drop to win the match. They will face The Homo-sapiens tomorrow for the 6-Man Titles.

El Generico takes Kota Ibushi’s spot in the show. He is the only wrestler here who is not taking part in the DDT48 General Election.

The Shit Heart ♥ Foundation seems to be done for now. The Super Shit Machine has disappeared and Tomomitsu Matsunaga has been trying to get back in the good graces of Tsurumi Amon and the DDT roster. Also of note is Darkside HERO! showing up not long after Matsunaga’s apology was rejected. Funny coincidence, don’t you think?

The “Anywhere Pro Wrestling” charity tour will move onto its second show in Hidaka on 2nd August. A 5 Way match will be set in a factory where “Luggage Materials” are made. The unknown wrestler has been described as being a big name who has never appeared in any of DDT’s Fall Count Anywhere matches.

DDT “LAST MINUTE SPECIAL”, 03/07/2011
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Sanshiro Takagi Vs Member Of The Superstars (Susan Guard & Shit Heart ♥ Foundation)
2. Takao Soma Vs Hikaru Sato

Hikaru Sato demanded to face Takao Soma in a singles match, their first since Soma defeated Sato in a Hair Vs Hair match back in February. Now that Soma has been kicked out of Shit Heart ♥ Foundation, will he go into the match with a new attitude and hope to make peace with Sato? If so, will Hikaru Sato be able to resist the urge to tear off the arm of the man who humiliated him?

Speaking of the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation, the group now consists of Tomomitsu Matsunaga and the Super Shit Machine. After kicking out Takao Soma, they have struck up an alliance with the Susan Guard of Yoshiaki Yago, Kengo Mashimo & Madoka to form a new group called The Superstars. They will make their first appearance together at Shin-Kiba 1st RING when one of them will take on Sanshiro Takagi.

*V1 for Shuji Ishikawa.
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Shuji Ishikawa (c) defeated Takao Soma with the Splash Mountain (13:59).
*V2 for Shuji Ishikawa.

DDT now has their main event set for their biggest show of the year. Shuji Ishikawa successfully defended the KO-D Openweight Title not once, but twice on one of the final stops on the road to Sumo Hall. Ishikawa defeated both GENTARO and Takao Soma back-to-back to earn his first two title defences. Now he will face KUDO, who has been on a roll since winning the “King Of DDT”. At the end of the show, the DDT locker room joined KUDO in the ring and put him through a trial by fire to get him ready for Sumo Hall. One by one, the DDT wrestlers each gave KUDO one of their trademark moves in the hopes that they transfer their strength to him. However when Danshoku Dino was about to give KUDO the Danshoku Driver, Shuji Ishikawa booted him in the head and gave KUDO the Splash Mountain instead. Shuji yelled at KUDO and said that he will beat him at Sumo Hall.

The Shit Heart ♥ Foundation is going through some changes. Due to Takao Soma’s failure to capitalize his golden opportunity of beating a weakened Shuji Ishikawa and become KO-D Champion, Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Super Shit Machine took matters into their own hands and kicked Soma out of the group. Matsunaga then announced that the SHF has joined forces with the Susan Guard from Union. The new unit is now called the Susan Shit Heart Superstars!

The unlikely team of Kenny Omega & Michael Nakazawa surprised everyone by winning the KO-D Tag Team Championships! The TKG48 duo of Munenori Sawa & Shigehiro Irie only had the belts for 15 days until they lost it in their first defence. HARASHIMA & HERO! came out to challenge the new champs. Omega accepted and planned out a special show at Shin-Kiba 1st RING on the 24th June. At this event will be just one match, and that match will be Omega & Nakazawa Vs HARASHIMA & HERO! for the KO-D Tag Titles! Omega then told everyone that he sees Nakazawa’s true potential and he just wants to help his friend.

Only a few more days until Dick Togo calls an end to his illustrious career in Japan. He had his final match for DDT today, teaming with Antonio Honda to defeat Yasu Urano & Daisuke Sasaki. The day before, Togo showed up at the K-DOJO show at Korakuen Hall for one last Kaientai*DX reunion where he again won the match for his team with the deadly Diving Senton.

It was announced that Kota Ibushi will have his first defence of the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title against Prince Devitt on 27th August at Sumo Hall.

The final Assassin sent from Bob Sapp to fight Danshoku Dino was Canadian indy wrestler Sexxxy Eddy. Before the match began, Eddy told the crowd that he always has the most beautiful woman in the arena strip him of his clothes. So he brought out Emi Sakura and performed a striptease for her. Dino was able to overcome this last obstacle and is now qualified to fight Bob Sapp at Sumo Hall. That was not the end of the night for Sexxxy Eddy, however. He briefly won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from Masa Takanashi and then lost it to Keisuke Ishii.

The Special Dark Match between Gorgeous Matsuno and DJ Nira was interrupted by the announcement of DDT’s next “Anywhere Pro Wrestling” event taking place on 2nd July. The show is titled “Luggage Material Wrestling”. The match still went on while Tsurumi Amon was making the announcement and continued when he was finished. However, the match ran out of time just when DJ Nira hit the Rocket Punch on Matsuno.

Here is the card for Sumo Hall so far:

7. 3 Way: Kota Ibushi Vs Danshoku Dino Vs HARASHIMA

The Shit Heart ♥ Foundation have been getting one over GRANMA for the last couple of shows thanks to some dirty tricks. Now Takao Soma & Super Shit Machine have two more advantages over GENTARO & Yasu Urano, the SHF are allowed fight under No DQ rules and the champions have to pin the challengers for five seconds in order to win. GENTARO & Urano have a tough task ahead of them if they aim to keep the KO-D Tag Team Titles around their waists.

4. KO-D Openweight Title: Dick Togo (c) Vs Shuji Ishikawa

HARASHIMA & HERO! have been nominated as the next challengers for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. They will take on whichever team leaves the 17/04 Nagoya show as champions.

Danshoku Dino is two for two against Bob Sapp’s deadly army of assassins. The third one being sent to face Dino has been described as a thug. Take that for what it’s worth.

Gorgeous Matsuno has been away from wrestling matches in DDT since September 2008 due to old age and ill health. He’s made appearances in DDT since then but this will be his first match back in over two and a half years.

I haven’t labelled Dick Togo Vs Gedo as Togo’s retirement match because he may be having more than one match on the show.

HERO! Returns?!?, Updated Cards For April, ‘Eff Off Fujita!

April 7, 2011

An odd event took place during the 4 Way match on yesterday’s “NON-FIX 3.16” show. When Michael Nakazawa, Antonio Honda and DJ Nira triple teamed HARASHIMA during the match, a masked man ran to the ring and cleared house, saving HARASHIMA from the beating and causing the match to end in a No Contest. What’s odd is that the masked man was HERO!, HARASHIMA’s masked alter ego! It is not clear who is behind the mask now but HERO! made an offer to team with HARASHIMA in the future. Tsurumi Amon interjected and thought that was a great idea, so HARASHIMA & HERO! will team together on 13th April.

6. Danshoku Dino Vs Ryan Jenness
7. Dick Togo, Gedo & Tomohiro Ishii Vs Kota Ibushi, Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki

The two GRANMA Vs Shit Heart ♥ Foundation singles matches will have repercussions for their KO-D Tag Title match in Nagoya on 17th April. The winner of each match here in will get to add a stipulation to the Tag Title match.

A wrestler by the name of Ryan Jenness (ライアン・ジェネス – could be something else, I don’t recognise the name or anything similar) is Bob Sapp’s second assassin sent after Danshoku Dino.

DDT, 17/04/2011

5. Kenny Omega Vs MIKAMI
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: GENTARO & Yasu Urano (c) Vs Takao Soma & Super Shit Machine
7. 3 Way: Kota Ibushi Vs Danshoku Dino Vs HARASHIMA

A pretty packed show here. DDT’s three big stars go at it in the main event, the Tag Titles are on the line with some stipulations yet to be added, Kenny Omega Vs MIKAMI will surely be exciting and you have the return of Mr. #6.

For some reason, Minoru Fujita has been banned from appearing at future DDT events. Fujita has lately been showing up at DDT shows uninvited and everyone has had enough. Tsurumi Amon brought it up at a meeting and they all decided to ban him from the company for now.

Togo Gets Ready For Shuji, Shit Happens

March 28, 2011

Dick Togo may have eliminated Kota Ibushi from the title chase, but he still has a busy time ahead of him. The main event for DDT’s return to Shinjuku FACE on 13th April has Togo teaming with New Japan wrestlers Gedo & Tomohiro Ishii to take on Ibushi, Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki.

Shuji Ishikawa is next in line for a crack at the KO-D Openweight Champion after winning the Battle Royal from the 14th Anniversary show. Their match is set for 4th May in Korakuen Hall. That’s not all, as Togo’s GRANMA stablemate GENTARO has the “Anytime And Anywhere” title shot, which allows him to cash it in at any show from now until Sumo Hall. GENTARO has claimed he will challenge the winner of Togo Vs Ishikawa, but he hasn’t exactly said when he will face them.

GENTARO has enough on his plate already. He and Yasu Urano are currently the KO-D Tag Team Champions and they now have the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation on their heels. Takao Soma and the Super Shit Machine are next in line to challenge for the belts. Two singles matches involving both sides will happen on 13th April. GENTARO better not take Takao Soma lightly as the young SHF leader has been on a role this year. Meanwhile Yasu Urano faces the Super Shit Machine, who has already made his presence felt in DDT with his SHIT Down Power Bomb finisher (Best move name of 2011 so far). The Tag Team Title match will take place four days later in Nagoya.

Danshoku Dino was able to defeat the first of Bob Sapp’s assassins, American indy wrestler Jonathan Gresham. Another assassin will battle Dino in Shinjuku FACE. Just the thought of Bob Sapp training pro wrestlers to be ninjas fills me with great joy.

1. Sanshiro Takagi defeated Great Kayser with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb (4:29).
2. Hikaru Sato & Kazuki Hirata defeated Keisuke Ishii & Akito when Sato pinned Akito with a Middle Kick (10:41).
3. DJ Nira Vs Hideki Shiota ended in a No Contest when the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation attacked both wrestlers (8:52).
4. Takao Soma, Super Shit Machine & Tomimitsu Matsunaga defeated HARASHIMA, MIKAMI & Daisuke Sasaki when Machine pinned Sasaki with the SHIT! Down Power Bomb (11:41).
5. Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi defeated Antonio Honda & Michael Nakazawa when Oishi pinned Nakazawa with the Miracle Ecstasy (9:40).
6. Yasu Urano defeated KUDO with an Inside Cradle (13:55).
7. Dick Togo & GENTARO defeated Kota Ibushi & Shigehiro Irie when Togo pinned Irie with the Diving Senton (20:58).

Michael Nakazawa was confronted by the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation in the ring, with group demanding that their former member shave his head bald for siding with Hikaru Sato during his No DQ Hair Vs Hair match with SHF leader Takao Soma. Nakazawa ended up gambling his hair on the DJ Nira Vs Hideki Shiota match. He picked Shiota to win the match but it didn’t matter as the SHF attacked both participants to cause a No Contest and then began to shave off Nakazawa’s hair. DJ Nira also got in on the action much to Nakazawa’s sadness. HARASHIMA, MIKAMI & Daisuke Sasaki ran in to make the save and kick start their Tag match against the group.

When Nakazawa finally reappeared for Match #5, he came out sporting a hairstyle similar to the Brahman Bros (as seen in the pic above). Tadasuke from Osaka Pro stood inside the ring for the entire match. By the time the match was over he couldn’t stop laughing at all of the comedy spots that took place.

Sanshiro Takagi made a surprise appearance for a bonus match against The Great Kayser to start the show. This was his first match in a full DDT show since his move to Union last year. After Sanshiro won with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb, he announced that DDT will donate some of the box office to charity in aid of the victims of the recent disaster.

At the end of the show, DDT referee Yukinori Matsui was given time to speak about his hometown in the Iwate prefecture, which was destroyed by the earthquake. Thankfully, he found out the day before the show that his family was safe and that everyone in the town was in his thoughts.

Due to the rolling blackouts and increased dangers happening in Tokyo right now, DDT has postponed tomorrow’s “NON-FIX” show that was supposed to take place in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

At the moment, DDT’s “JUDGEMENT 2011” 14th Anniversary show is still going ahead on 27th March. Korakuen Hall suffered damage during the earthquake, most of it caused to the ceiling along with some electrical problems. SMASH has postponed its 18th March event at building but Big Japan and Ice Ribbon are still planning on having their Korakuen shows on 21st March take place.

1. Hikaru Sato defeated Kazuki Hirata with a German Suplex (7:14).
2. MIKAMI defeated Rion Mizuki with a Horizontal Aussie Suplex Hold (10:50).
3. KUDO & Tanomusaku Toba defeated Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi when Toba pinned Dino after a Diving Double Knee Drop from KUDO (6:44).
4. Michael Nakazawa & Tomimitsu Matsunaga defeated Takao Soma & Keisuke Ishii by DQ when Soma attacked the referee (9:38).
5. Toru Owashi & Hoshitango defeated HARASHIMA & Yukihiro Abe when Owashi pinned Abe with the Power Bomb (16:51).
6. Dick Togo, GENTARO & Yasu Urano defeated Kota Ibushi, Antonio Honda & Daisuke Sasaki when Urano pinned Sasaki with a La Magistral Cutback (15:40).

The show began with all of the active members of Belt Hunter X Hunter in the ring. Danshoku Dino asked Hikaru Sato how he was feeling after he lost the KO-D Openweight Title to Dick Togo. Sato said he would work even harder to regain the title. Dino then asked Keisuke Ishii how he felt after losing the Young Drama Cup Final to Takao Soma. Ishii said he will begin a fresh start and is looking forward to the future. They were still upset that their stable, which was built around having champions no matter how coveted or prestigious the titles may be, are now belt-less and feared the group would break up. Masa Takanashi entered the ring to join his stablemates as Dino announced that Belt Hunter X Hunter will go on hiatus to allow everyone to go their own directions and grow as wrestlers before restarting anew.

Dino introduced Makoto Oishi from K-DOJO as his unnannounced Tag Team partner before Match #3. Dino revealed his plans for the future was to make a new MEN’s Club with Oishi as his first signing. Makoto refused the offer, even with Dino trying to give him a welcome kiss. Dino eventually got to kiss Oishi during the match, but he was given a Cutter by his partner which led to a Right Hook from Tanomusaku Toba followed by the Diving Double Knee Drop from KUDO to end the match. Dino still offered Oishi a spot in his new MEN’s Club. He even asked KUDO, Toba, Tsurumi Amon & referee Yukinori Matsui to raise their hands if they wanted Oishi to join the group, which they did. Amon then announced that Dino and Oishi will have a match on 26th December with Oishi forced to join Dino’s ‘Club’ if he loses.

Takao Soma betrayed Keisuke Ishii in their match to become the newest member of the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation. Ishii was about to win their match when he hit Tomimitsu Matsunaga with the Kneel Kick but Soma Dropkicked the ref when he was counting to three, getting themselves disqualified on purpose. Soma gave Ishii a Schwein and then hit him over the head with a small plastic box (similar to the ones used by Kowloon in Michinoku Pro) before posing with his new team mates. Afterwards, Soma demanded to Tsurumi Amon that he should get the KO-D Openweight Title shot at Korakuen Hall for winning the Young Drama Cup. Amon shot down the demand but instead offered Soma a shot at the KO-D Tag Team Championships on 12th December. Soma accepted and chose Matsunaga as his partner. One half of the champions, Daisuke Sasaki came down and confronted Soma only to get attacked by the Foundation until Antonio Honda ran down to make the save.

Toru Owashi requested Match #5 to take place as his stay in DDT will soon draw to a close. He encouraged Yukihiro Abe to give it his all in what could be their final encounter against each other. Despite having HARASHIMA as his partner on this night, they couldn’t get past the mountain team of Owashi & Hoshitango. After the match, Owashi challenged the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation to put their Trios Triple Crown on the line against Disaster-BOX on 26th December.
