1. Daiki Shimomura defeated Masato Kamino with the Asai DDT (6:58).
2. Tanomusaku Toba defeated Dai Suzuki with the Backhand Blow (6:08).
3. Diego & Royce Isaacs defeated Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda when Isaacs pinned Ueno with The Zenith (11:01).
4. Yuki Ino “Knock On” Series – 1st Match: Shigehiro Irie defeated Yuki Ino with the Cannonball Drop (12:17).
5. Keisuke Okuda & Mizuki Watase defeated Kouki Iwasaki & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Okuda pinned Shimatani with the STO (14:08).
6. Mike Bailey defeated Shunma Katsumata with the Green Tea Plunge (14:53).
7. Naomi Yoshimura & Kengo defeated MAO & Rekka when Yoshimura pinned Rekka with the Throwaway Power Bomb (18:26).

Naomi Yoshimura wanted to continue “practising” his Throwaway Power Bomb on Rekka after the main event. Diego ran out to rescue Rekka but was cut off by Yoshimura. Kouki Iwasaki then ran out and this time he was successful in protecting his friends. Yoshimura afterwards said he is looking forward to a match between him & Kengo against Iwasaki & Diego in DNA.

Iwasaki is keeping himself busy. His other feud in DNA that’s gaining steam is with Keisuke Okuda. In their tag match, Okuda & Mizuki Watase beat Iwasaki & Nobuhiro Shimatani. Okuda used the STO (which to him means Space Tornado Okuda) to pin Shimatani. Iwasaki, Okuda and Watase got into a brawl after the match. Okuda said that all the DNA wrestlers are just elementary students to him. Watase demanded him to stick around and fight him. Shimatani had finally recovered by then and offered to team with Watase for another shot at Okuda.

Shigehiro Irie wonders if Yuki Ino can grow big enough to become his rival when he returns from his excursion. Since Ino’s goal is to one day become the KO-D Openweight Champion, he relished the chance to fight a former champion in just his second wrestling match. He also got to experience just how powerful a former champion is.

Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda enjoyed wrestling together as a team today and both want a singles match against each other in the future.

8. 3 Way Match: Ken Ohka defeated Konosuke Takeshita and Daisuke Sasaki when Ohka pinned Sasaki with the Fire Spear (11:07).

We’ll start off with the dark match because this had long term effects on DDT’s power structure. Amon Tsurumi was fired by Producer Danshoku Dino because the General Manager role was no longer needed. But he was given one chance to keep his job if he could beat the Tokyo Joshi Pro GM Tetsuya Koda in a wrestling match. He couldn’t. Tsurumi tried to put Koda in a Cross Armbreaker but it was countered into a Katahajime for the submission loss. Producer Dino confirmed that Amon Tsurumi was fired but he had another announcement. Tsurumi is gone but Dino wants Hisaya Imabayashi to become his Assistant Producer! So long, afro!

The show took place with only one match announced beforehand and it was happening in the pre-show. The rest of the card was determined by a group interview held inside the ring by Producer Dino. If anybody wanted to request a match or idea to him then this was the time to do it. Pigging 2017 wanted a tag match against all of the women, which was accepted. Both Daisuke Sasaki and Shigehiro Irie wanted a match with the debuting Solo Darling but she was just put into the Pigging tag match so they were both declined. NωA wanted to fight Shuten-dōji for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Dino felt they weren’t worthy of a title shot but if they could beat the champions in a non-title Elimination Tag match then he would reconsider. Kazuki Hirata wanted to quit T2Hide so he can move on to become a high quality heavyweight wrestler. The other T2Hide members were shocked to hear this. Dino decided to make Hirata fight his friends in a Handicap Match to prove his claims. Daisuke Sasaki asked if he could leave. Dino said no. Yuko Miyamoto said he is still upset he lost to Nobuhiro Shimatani in the Beer Garden Sumo tournament so he challenged him to a sumo match right now. He accepted and Miyamoto threw him out of the ring to win. Kouki Iwasaki wanted to fight the best team in DDT. Producer Dino decided that himself, Iwasaki & Keisuke Ishii would fight Smile Squash in a Falls Count Anywhere match. This would also prepare Dino and HARASHIMA for their upcoming Factory Wrestling match. Kazusada Higuchi wanted a match with Irie before Irie leaves on his next overseas expedition. Higuchi wants to find out if he can become stronger without having to leave Japan. Joey Ryan wanted a match with Antonio Honda. Ryan has wrestled in Japan for two years now but never had a match against Honda. Finally, Producer Dino decided the main event should be Konosuke Takeshita Vs Daisuke Sasaki Vs Ken Ohka in a non-title preview of their high stakes 3 Way Match next month. Sasaki didn’t want to do it. Producer Dino convinced him by saying the winner of the match would get 2,000 yen of Imabayashi’s money but if Sasaki won he would get 20,000 yen from Imabayashi.

Ken Ohka used the numbers game in the 3 Way Match to win despite being overpowered by his opponents. Takeshita was about to give Sasaki the German Suplex to win when Ohka came in and hit the Fire Spear to Takeshita from behind. Ohka then hit the Fire Spear on Sasaki to get the winning pinfall. Ohka couldn’t believe his luck. He just beat two wrestlers who are a combined age of 30 years younger than he is! The difference is Ohka has 15 years of experience and he spent all of that time climbing and crawling up from the mud of this industry. And now he’s 2,000 yen richer too.

It’s back to square one for Tetsuya Endo and the first thing he is doing is adding more finishing moves to his arsenal. Today he pinned Diego with a Swan Dive Firebird Splash.

Irie defeated Higuchi with a string of Beast Bombers keeping Higuchi down until he could not get back up. When Irie revealed his plans earlier this week to go overseas again he also decided to pull himself out of the Dramatic General Election. The rest of the YaroZ promised him they would do their best to win the Unit Election and get their own show in Korakuen Hall when he comes back. Irie said he wants YaroZ to put together their horniest event ever when they make it to Korakuen Hall.

The Falls Count Anywhere match spilled all over the room. The finish even took place over at one of the counters where HARASHIMA knocked down Iwasaki with a High Kick. He then went to one end of the counter and sprinted across to hit the Somato. HARASHIMA told Producer Dino that he is looking forward to the changes in DDT but he also likes being a KO-D Tag Team Champion so Dino better be ready for him at the Factory Wrestling Match. Miyamoto was tired after wrestling his third match (including the sumo game) for today. He was about to talk about the Dramatic General Election when Soma Takao blocked his mouth. HARASHIMA had to explain that campaigning inside the wrestling ring during the elections is prohibited.

Honda distracted Ryan at the start of their match by saying in English he had broken kness. He also tried to block Ryan’s lollipop with his hand formed to look like Gon, The Little Fox. Honda also grabbed Ryan’s nipple to stop his attacks. But no matter what happened, Ryan got the win when he Super Kicked Honda during a wind up for the Bionic Elbow.

NωA successfully defeated Shuten-dōji in a close Elimination Match. The Shuten-dōji wrestlers blamed the Ring Out rules as the reason they lost. Dino granted NωA their request for a KO-D 6-Man Tag Title match on 2nd September.

Hirata was in danger of losing the Handicap Match when Sanshiro Takagi lifted him up for the Sit Down Himawari Bomb. Hirata escaped by plutting his Hirata GO! glasses on Takagi’s face. The urge for Takagi to dance was too much and Hirata capitalised with a School Boy for the three count. Toru Owashi couldn’t stop the count because he was tied up in the Paradise Lock. Takagi said a promise is a promise and he congratulated Hirata on graduating from T2Hide. However, Daisuke Kiso found something interesting in Hirata’s contract. According to the contract, if Hirata leaves T2Hide before his deal expires then he must buy the entire stock of Hirata GO! glasses at their selling price. DDT have 3,000 glasses in stock and they are priced at 2,000 yen each. That means Hirata must pay T2Hide 6,000,000 yen if he wants to leave them! Suddenly Hirata had a change of heart. He doesn’t want to leave T2Hide. T2Hide are the best! Hirata now wants to help make T2Hide the most powerful unit in the wrestling world.

Solo Darling was thrilled with her first match in Japan. She called it a very wild experience and cannot wait to go on a sugar rush in Tokyo Joshi Pro tomorrow.

7. MAIN GIG – Break Open The New Door Of DNA!: Shunma Katsumata defeated Yuki Ueno with the Firebird Splash (20:56).

Today’s show was an eventful one for DNA as a whole. Kazusada Higuchi was graduating from the brand but the main event spots were given to Shunma Katsumata and Yuki Ueno so the younger wrestlers could get a chance in the spotlight. Ueno was determined to seize the opportunity and went straight into an Elbow Smash battle with Katsumata. He then Dropkicked Katsumata out of the ring and leapt on top of him with a Plancha. Katsumata had to rely on his speed to takeover the match. Missile Dropkicks and John Woo Dropkicks kept Ueno at bay until turned his back and climbed the top rope. Ueno got up, stopped Katsumata and Power Bombed him. Ueno missed a Splash from the top rope, Katsumata recovered to hit a Lightning Spiral and then the Firebird Splash for the three count. Katsumata wanted to thank everyone in the audience for attending but he was interrupted by Sanshiro Takagi. The DDT president praised both Katsumata and Ueno for having a good match. He said today was the end of Chapter 2 for DNA. He asked Katsumata what he thought of that then immediately cut him off to answer on his behalf. After that, Takagi announced Chapter 3 will begin with the return of the Wrestling Koshien tournament on 5th August at Shinjuku FACE.

As Chapter 2 ends so does Higuchi’s time in DNA. He wanted to help DNA for their second show in Korakuen Hall before he moved on to become a full time DDT wrestler. So he was given a special graduation match with three wrestlers who were his rivals and teammates during his time here. Higuchi teamed with Ryota Nakatsu to beat Kouki Iwasaki and Naomi Yoshimura. Higuchi thanked all three of them for being in the match. He was born in DNA and he will never forget it.

Mizuki Watase was given another tough challenge in the form of Koji Kanemoto. The match was almost one sided as Kanemoto dished out kicks and knee strikes and stretches to Watase. It ended when Kanemoto put Watase in a Half Crab then stamped on his head until the referee stopped the match. Despite the vicious beating, Kanemoto praised Watase for putting up a fight. In a backstage interview Kanemoto said he watched Watase’s match with Shinjiro Otani but couldn’t get into it. He only began to understand Watase’s enthusiasm when they wrestled each other. However, Kanemoto warned everyone that he is not a gatekeeper for young wrestlers. He will knock you down when given the opportunity.

Even though MAO and Tetsuya Endo are both from Miyagi, the two do not get along. MAO wishes it would be different and hoped their match today would be the start something good between them. Endo didn’t see it that way. In fact he just treated it like any other match. Also Endo thinks he is overwhelmingly stronger than MAO so there is no way they can be rivals.

Dai Suzuki’s DNA career was on the line in the final stage of his trial series. Three matches so far and three loses to go with them. For the finale he had to fight four wrestlers at the same time. They were Hideki Suzuki, Jun Kasai, NOSAWA Rongai & Gurukun Mask. All Suzuki had to do was to either beat one of them or avoid losing to all four of them for 7 minutes. He had Ken Ohka cheering him on from the sidelines but when the match began it quickly looked grim. Gurukin Mask pinned him in under a minute. Hideki Suzuki submitted him 30 seconds later. A glimmer of hope came when NOSAWA and Kasai began to argue with each other. Kasai let it go and hit Suzuki with the Pearl Harbour Splash. NOSAWA then snuck past Kasai and stole the pin. The two began arguing again. NOSAWA was so mad he decided to help out Suzuki and break the pin whenever it looked like Kasai was going to win. When Kasai finally got rid of NOSAWA he gave Suzuki the Reverse Tiger Driver but the time expired and the match was ruled a draw. Dai Suzuki’s career is saved! Kasai complained about the result but backed off when Hideki Suzuki demanded he fight Shogun Okamoto. When they left, Ohka motivated Dai Suzuki for his performance. He isn’t weak, he’s getting stronger and he works as hard as he can. Suzuki promised to show his gratitude to Ohka for supporting him.

Gran MilliMeters jumped Shiro Koshinaka & Kotaro Suzuki with Double Dropkicks to start their match. However the veteran team turned the tables and grabbed the victory. Suzuki got rid of Nobuhiro Shimatani. Koshinaka hit Daiki Shimomura with the Diving Hip Attack then finished him off with the Power Bomb. Gran MilliMeters are unsure about their future as a team. There aren’t many tag teams in DNA so maybe it is time for them to go a different direction.

A multinational tag team bout opened the show featuring wrestlers from America (Cody Hall), Canada (Mike Bailey), Chile (Diego) and Taiwan (Rekka). Hall showed his strength by Back Body Dropping his partner out of the ring onto the Young Donuts outside! Bailey later got the win with the Ultima Weapon on Rekka. Hall said he felt great because winning is a pleasant thing and dominating opponents is the best feeling a wrestler can get.

Break Open The New Door Of DNA, Ikemen Master Combination

1. Global Futures: Mike Bailey & Cody Hall Vs Diego & Rekka
2. All Japan Major League Championship: Shiro Koshinaka & Kotaro Suzuki Vs Daiki Shimomura & Nobuhiro Shimatani
3. Awake Your Eyes, Dai Suzuki! Seven Match Trial Final Battle: Hideki Suzuki, Jun Kasai, NOSAWA Rongai & Gurukun Mask Vs Dai Suzuki
4. Best Of High Flyers: Tetsuya Endo Vs MAO
5. Real Mad Doubt Confrontation!: Koji Kanemoto Vs Mizuki Watase
6. PREMIUM GIG – With That Thought ~Kazusada Higuchi Graduation Memorial Match~: Kazusada Higuchi & Ryota Nakatsu Vs Kouki Iwasaki & Naomi Yoshimura
7. MAIN GIG – Break Open The New Door Of DNA!: Shunma Katsumata Vs Yuki Ueno

A press conference was held featuring most of the wrestlers competing on the show. Yuki Ueno is looking forward to being in the main event because it is a big opportunity. With Kazusada Higuchi graduating and moving up to DDT, Ueno thinks it is up to him and Shunma Katsumata to open the door and show everyone the new DNA. Katsumata sees Ueno as a mystery for him to solve in the ring.

Higuchi’s graduation will leave a large gap that needs to be filled. Naomi Yoshimura is up for the challenge. This is his chance to knock down the old regime and take Higuchi’s place on the top of the DNA mountain. Kouki Iwasaki sees his position in DNA under attack and he has to protect it. Ryota Nakatsu is back in DNA again just for the special occasion. He’d rather fight Higuchi than team with him but this match is all about Higuchi so he’ll go along with it to make some memories. Higuchi realises that everyone in this match has been his rival of sorts at some point and that’s just how he wants it to be.

MAO credits Daisuke Sasaki for making Tetsuya Endo into the wrestler he is today. Endo said he is indebted to Sasaki and he might give him 700,00 yen out of his million yen prize money. Endo thinks he can live with 300,000 yen.

All Dai Suzuki has to do to save his career is not lose to 4 wrestlers in 7 minutes. NOSAWA Rongai couldn’t attend the press conference so he sent Black Tiger VII in his place. Tiger doesn’t understand the stipulation for the 4 Vs 1 match and thinks the entire bout is disgusting and pointless. Ken Ohka appeared in the room after the conference ended to give a motivational speech to Suzuki.

The Young Donuts are looking to make an impact. Rekka doesn’t care if Cody Hall is over 200cm tall, he will do what he can to beat him. Diego wants to make up for missing DNA’s first show in Korakuen Hall. Hall is entering DNA aiming to crush the competition. Mike Bailey wants to call his duo with Hall Team Cakes.

8. MAIN GIG – DNA Strongest Decision: Kazusada Higuchi defeated Mike Bailey with the Goten (18:57).

How does that saying go, “If you come at the king, you best not miss?” Well, Mike Bailey didn’t exactly miss but Kazusada Higuchi was there ready and waiting for him with a bang. The main event of DNA’s first show in Korakuen Hall ended when Bailey went for the Shooting Star Double Knee Drop. While he was in the air Higuchi got up to his feet and caught Bailey on the way down with a Lariat. It was such a big hit that nothing could stop Higuchi from hitting the Goten afterwards to win.

The end of the show had Sanshiro Takagi come down to the ring for an announcement. Today Higuchi is graduating from DNA and from tomorrow he will be fully affiliated with DDT! Higuchi thanked Takagi but had one favour to ask in return. He wants to help DNA fill up Korakuen Hall when they return on 4th July so he asked if he could stay affiliated with DNA until then. Takagi accepted the request. Higuchi’s final match as a DNA wrestler takes place on 4th July.

For the last few months in DNA, Shunma Katsumata has bonded with Kotaro Suzuki as both an opponent and a teammate. He got to put everything he learned into one more test with Suzuki but sadly could not beat him. Suzuki countered the Swan Dive X Factor with a Rolling Elbow then hit the Blue Destiny. Katsumata kicked out but it was all over when Suzuki did the Mass Driver. Katsumata wishes he could have done more to win but if he relived the last two months in DNA he would not have changed a thing.

It’s not everyday you get to see Kazushi Sakuraba hit a Plancha but he did one to Kouki Iwasaki. He also twisted Iwasaki in knots but Iwasaki wouldn’t give up. Sakuraba eventually got bored so held Iwasaki’s shoulders down to the match for the three count. Iwasaki was left frustrated by the loss.

From the high school classroom to the wrestling ring, Yuki Ueno got to face his buddy Konosuke Takeshita one on one for the first time. Even though they are the same age the gap in experience is huge and Ueno faced an uphill battle throughout. Takeshita encouraged him to continue but the end result was of no surprise to anyone. What was surprising was Ueno slapping Takeshita’s hand away when he was offered a handshake after the match.

High dives out of the ring was promised in the match between MAO and TAKA Michinoku. MAO delivered with a Spaceman Topé Con Hilo. However a missed Cannonball 450 gave TAKA control of the match and MAO could never get back into it. He kicked out of the Super Kick but ultimately failed to fight off the Cross Facelock. TAKA was impressed with MAO’s dives. He really thought it looked like an alien was flying towards him. He also thinks MAO has the kind of body that can let him become a heavyweight without losing his agility. The match was important for MAO because he is from Tohoku, the home of Michinoku Pro. Plus he was a fan of TAKA when he was a kid.

Dai Suzuki came out with new gear and new music for the big occasion. Now he needs a new chest after Go Shiozaki obliterated it with Machine Gun Chops. A few Lariats and Brainbusters made the five minute match feel like an eternity for poor Suzuki. For the rest of his trial series Suzuki will got through a 4 Vs 1 gauntlet match. However to give him a decent chance to survive the seven minute time limit will apply to the four matches combined. Surely Suzuki can’t lose four times in seven minutes.

Naomi Yoshimura got his hands on a Right To Challenge Contract! He blocked a Tornado DDT from Nobuhiro Shimatani and countered a Cradle into a Power Slam. A painful landing from the Throwaway Power Bomb ended the match. Rekka said Yuji Okabayashi’s Chops hurts so much but he still wants to take them. He hopes to have a singles match with Okabayashi soon.

In a battle of Running Forearms and Elbow Smashes, LEONA came out on top against Mizuki Watase. As much as he tried to tough it out, one clean Elbow Bat put Watase down for the three count. He accepted the result and shook LEONA’s hand afterwards. Today was LEONA’s day but next time, Watase will get his!

DNA returns to Korakuen Hall on 4th July. DNA will also hold their own Beer Garden show in Shinjuku FACE on 5th August. That show is being advertised as the beginning of Chapter 3 for DNA.

5. PREMIUM GIG – Young Hunters Vs Father Hunters: Kazushi Sakuraba & Kendo Kashin defeated Kouki Iwasaki & Mike Bailey when Kashin pinned Iwasaki after the Shooting Star Double Knee Drop from Bailey (7:18).
6. MAIN GIG – The Main Eventer Of NEXT: Kazusada Higuchi defeated Shunma Katsumata with the Goten (20:28).

In the latest battle to determine who is on top of the DNA mountain, Kazusada Higuchi defeated Shunma Katsumata. Higuchi had to fight off every inch of fight his much smaller opponent threw at him. Katsumata tried to wear him down with a Sleeper Hold in between several Swan Dive attacks. Even a Firebird Splash was done but Higuchi was too tough to be put down. He countered the Swan Dive X Factor with a Big Boot, hit a Lariat, then a big German Suplex and won the match with the Goten. As the winner, Higuchi now faces “Speedball” Mike Bailey in the main event of DNA’s Korakuen Hall debut on 10th May. Higuchi lost to Bailey in the DNA Grand Prix final last October. He will prove he is the strongest in DNA when he finally beats Bailey.

There was more masked shenanigans between Kazushi Sakuraba & Kendo Kashin for their match against Kouki Iwasaki & Mike Bailey. In the opening ceremony the man who was allegedly Kashin wearing a Sakuraba mask had a different body type. Then for the match entrances Sakuraba and Kashin were accompanied by two other masked men. The cornermen interfered by spraying Iwasaki and Bailey in the eyes when the ref was distracted. During the confusion, Kashin took off his own mask and placed it over Iwasaki’s face. He then hit Bailey from behind with a chair and exited the ring. Bailey turned around and thought Iwasaki was Kashin so he attacked him, finishing him off with the Shooting Star Double Knee Drop. Sakuraba then put Bailey in a Sleeper while Kashin pinned Iwasaki for the three count. Iwasaki challenged Sakuraba to a match at Korakuen and it was accepted. Backstage Bailey explained to Iwasaki that he had only seen Kashin’s previous matches on smartphones and the bad video quality meant he couldn’t tell who the real Kashin was supposed to be.

An emotional Mizuki Watase refused to tap out of LEONA’s Figure Four Leg Lock leading to Yukinori Matsui stopping the match for safety reasons and awarding the victory to LEONA & Kotaro Suzuki. Watase crawled over to the microphone and yelled at Matsui for stopping the match because he never gave up. Matsui challenged LEONA to a match at Korakuen to settle their differences. He will not lose to LEONA even if his legs break!

Dai Suzuki tried to ambush Masato Tanaka with a chair before their match began. The plan didn’t work and Tanaka was able to beat him easily in under five minutes. Suzuki was left feeling down over his lack of progress. He was then told his next opponent on 10th May will be Go Shiozaki! Suzuki promises to do his best because he can’t afford to lose the remaining matches in his trial series.

The rookie team of Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ueno scored a big win over Shogun Okamoto & Royce Isaacs. Yoshimura’s power has caught Okamoto’s attention. Okamoto felt disgusted that he and Isaacs lost the match. He thinks Isaacs is a wonderful wrestler but doesn’t share the same feelings for Yoshimura. Okamoto wants Yoshimura for a singles match and promises to crush him! Yoshimura looks forward to it and said it will be him crushing Okamoto instead!

Nobuhiro Shimatani successfully defended his Right To Challenge contract by pinning Guanchulo in the opening tag match. Sadly this was Guanchulo’s final match in DNA for the time being. He is returning home to Chile for a while. Rekka says he will continue fighting with Guanchulo in his heart.

5. PREMIUM GIG TOP OF THE NEXT: Kouki Iwasaki defeated MAO with a Verical Drop Brainbuster (9:53).
6. “THE RIVALS” Each Stand By Me: Shunma Katsumata & Kotaro Suzuki defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Mike Bailey when Katsumata pinned Higuchi with the Kasadora (16:32).

Shunma Katsumata got the surprise pin on Kazusada Higuchi, beating the big man for the first time in his career. Katsumata thanked Kotaro Suzuki for giving him the power in their singles match at “DNA EP.30” to beat Higuchi. He wants to make DNA more exciting by collaborating with Suzuki more in the future. But Higuchi is still in the way. Earlier in the show it was announced that Mike Bailey will main event the DNA Korakuen Hall show on 10th May. Higuchi wants to be Bailey’s opponent so he can avenge his defeat to from last year’s DNA Grand Prix final. Katsumata wants that spot too so he challenged Higuchi to a match on 21st April. The winner will face Bailey at Korakuen.

Kouki Iwasaki got the victory over MAO by rolling out of the way of the Cannonball 450. MAO kicked out of a Soccer Kick but the Vertical Drop Brainbuster afterwards had him beat. Iwasaki said afterwards that he will fight any big names that come to DNA. Suddenly Kazushi Sakuraba appeared. He said he likes to tease people and bully the younger wrestlers in the ring so he’s coming back to DNA on 21st April to bully Iwasaki again. The Gracie Hunter is now the DNA Hunter! He is also bringing somebody to team up with, Kendo Kashin! After the announcement a mystery man in a lion mask ran into the ring and sprayed Iwasaki in the eyes with the cold spray. He then saluted to Sakuraba and ran out of the ring.

Mizuki Watase and LEONA were at each other’s throats for most of the 6-Man Tag. They brawled up to the stage while Akebono took care of Naomi Yoshimura and Yuki Ueno inside the ring.

The YOUNG DONUTS were picked apart by Atsushi Aoki & Hikaru Sato. Guanchulo is happy just to be teaming with Rekka and show off YOUNG DONUTS to the world. In the backstage interview Sato pointed at the DNA logo. He doesn’t know what the D, N, A or GIG stand for but FIGHTING is at the beginning and that means everything to him. Don’t you forget it!

The first match in Dai Suzuki’s 7 bout series ended in failure. Kohei Sato was too scary for Suzuki to stand up to and he was clobbered in under 3 minutes. It’s only going to get worse because opponent #2 is Masato Tanaka!

The match to determine the team leader of Gran MilliMeters ended a bit rougher than intended. Nobuhiro Shimatani suffered a bloody nose after being hit with a Running Elbow Smash from Daiki Shimomura.

DDT New Attitude is now Fighting Gig DNA! The development brand for DDT took a big step towards establishing themselves as its own product. With S.P.E. Entertainment managing the events, DNA redesigned its logo and now has its own new theme song. Also some of the wrestlers came out with new gear and entrance music. The show began with all 18 wrestlers lining up while the guest ring announcer Masahiro Ehara announced the beginning of DNA’s next story.

In the build-up to the relaunch, the least experienced wrestler on the roster was building up the most ego. Naomi Yoshimura was eager to start the main event by charging past his partner Yuji Okabayashi and towards Kazusada Higuchi to catch him off guard. The match turned around when Akebono tagged in to absorb all of the chops and Shoulder Blocks his opponents could throw at him. Yoshimura was a glory hog throughout the match and refused to tag out even though he was overwhelmed. Okabayashi angrily reminded him it was a tag match and finally got to tag in and clean house. Yoshimura tagged back in and with Okabayashi gave Akebono a Double Brainbuster. He wanted to finish off Higuchi with a Lariat but Higuchi stopped him with a Lariat of his own. Yoshimura kicked out of the Doctor Bomb but Higuchi ended up putting him away with the Goten.

After the match Akebono thanked Higuchi and Okabayashi for the match. He then turned to Yoshimura and complimented him on a good job. Akebono said he would like to come back and then left the ring. Higuchi thanked the fans for coming to see DNA’s relaunch. He told Yoshimura to watch his attitude a little but other than that he would gladly fight him again and again. A representative from one of the show sponsors Premium Water Shop then came out. He thought it was a wonderful show so he wanted to make a donation to DNA. He announced that DNA will have a show in Korakuen Hall on 10th May! Higuchi was excited by the news until Shunma Katsumata grabbed the microphone from him. Katsumata declared that he will main event the Korakuen show, not Higuchi. Higuchi said he is on top of DNA and he won’t give up his throne to anyone. If it is a new era for DNA, he will be leading the charge.

dna30-sakuraba-iwasaki

While Mizuki Watase and LEONA fought each other outside the ring, Kouki Iwasaki had the displeasure of being twisted apart by Kazushi Sakuraba. Watase and LEONA continued fighting after the match ended. LEONA apologised in his backstage interview and blamed it on himself feeling a bit off. Sakuraba said Iwasaki has a strong Low Kick and he’d like to wrestle him again.

dna30-katsumata-kotaro

Kotaro Suzuki was full of praise for Shunma Katsumata, describing their match as a wonderful contest. Suzuki said when he was three years into his career he did not have the movement and technique that Katsumata currently has. However a key difference maker in this match was stamina. Suzuki had more of it and Katsumata can’t hit his big moves without it. Suzuki then suggested that Katsumata should team with him so he can steal all his moves… er I mean learn more by watching.

dna30-dai-shogun

Dai Suzuki tried to shake off his loss to Shogun Okamoto with as much dignity as he could muster. He then broke down while failing to convince the audience he is still undefeated. The show sponsor then came out accompanied by an MC named MEGA-G. They informed Suzuki he will be going through a 7 match series with every match having a 7 minute time limit. If he loses all 7 matches then he must retire! However a win and even a draw will save Suzuki’s career. His first match in this series will be against Kohei Sato on 14th March.

dna30-mao-ueno

MAO’s Screw Kick was the deciding factor in him beating Yuki Ueno. Afterwards Ueno said he can’t figure out where that kick came from so he couldn’t defend against it. Ueno will now focus on more training to make sure he won’t lose his next match. As for MAO, he is just going to keep doing what he is doing in DNA and see where it takes him.

Guanchulo & Rekka claim that they too have been reborn along with DNA. Together they are calling themselves the YOUNG DONUTS! They aren’t the only wrestlers thinking up team names. Daiki Shimomura & Nobuhiro Shimatani are thinking about calling themselves Gran Millimeter because they are small but strong like Gran Hamada.

dna30-trainees

On the same week NASA discovered seven new planets, DNA introduced seven new trainees. Kento Namatame (生田目研人) is a 26 year old from Tokyo who has experience training with CMLL. Ryota Kimoto (木本凌太) is a 19 year old from Hokkaido and comes from Sapporo Amateur Pro Wrestling. Daisuka Kurahashi (倉橋大亮) is a 23 year old from Akita and was trained by Animal Hamaguchi. Kazuki Yoshida (吉田和樹) is a 20 year old from Niigata and has baseball experience. Mago-ichi (孫一?) is a 30 year old bodybuilder from northern China. Yuki Iino (飯野雄貴) is a 22 year old rugby player from Tokyo. Finally Kenichi Ito (伊藤健一) is a 41 year old MMA fighter from Tokyo.

1. Stand By The Sky: Shunma Katsumata Vs Kotaro Suzuki
2. Running Without End: Kouki Iwasaki & Mizuki Watase Vs Kazushi Sakuraba & LEONA

The new look DNA welcomes Kazushi Sakuraba and LEONA to its relaunch next month. The two will take on Kouki Iwasaki & Mizuki Watase. The four of them appeared at a press conference with Sakuraba wearing a white jiu-jitsu belt over his suit. Sakuraba explained he wore it to represent his first time in DNA because it is the first belt you earn in jiu-jitsu. Iwasaki is only focusing on Sakuraba and hopes to fight him one on one at some point. Watase is thrilled to fight the man he watched on TV back in elementary school. However he and LEONA had a war of words over whether or not LEONA is worthy of being in the match. Sakuraba admitted he hasn’t seen LEONA wrestle but he thinks they can work together as a team.

Kotaro Suzuki was impressed by what he saw at the last DNA show and said he would be happy to come back. Shunma Katsumata took him up on that offer. Katsumata wants DNA to fight as fierce as Suzuki does.

3. Antonio Honda defeated Dai Suzuki with the Octopus Hold (9:27).

6. Kotaro Suzuki & Madoka defeated Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Ueno when Suzuki pinned Ueno with the Blue Destiny (12:31).
7. Kouki Iwasaki defeated Ryota Nakatsu with the Leg Capture Suplex (17:31).

Kouki Iwasaki finally got his win over Ryota Nakatsu! It took a Brainbuster onto a knee, a Buzzsaw Kick and the Leg Capture Suplex but Iwasaki finally did it. Iwasaki said he would have never been able to lose this match even if Nakatsu broke both of his legs. However he thanked Nakatsu for giving him his best. Nakatsu admitted he’s been looking down on DNA for the last couple of months but it’s only because he’s so focused on carrying BASARA. He told Iwasaki when he becomes the ace of BASARA he will come back to DNA for another top level match together. Iwasaki said when the new DNA is shown on 23rd February, he will stand in the centre as the ace and will not be beaten by anyone!

Kotaro Suzuki was impressed with what he saw in his first DNA match. He thinks it is a wonderful group of young wrestlers. If he ever needs his fill of wrestling, he’ll make sure to come back here. Shunma Katsumata took him up on that offer and challenged him to a singles match on 23rd February at the relaunch show.

Both MAO and Mike Bailey were complimentary towards each other after their match. Bailey calls MAO the best high flyer in DNA but Bailey’s black belt in Judo was the difference. MAO never knew Judo was practised in Canada and was amazed by Bailey’s speed and jumping ability.

Naomi Yoshimura continues his undefeated streak but he’s starting to bite off more than he can chew. He had a stand off with Kazusada Higuchi after their tag match. Backstage Noshimura said “the little guy” (Nobuhiro Shimatani) is okay but he’s coming to crush Higuchi!

Guanchulo wants to team regularly with Rekka in DNA from now on. They live together, train together and eat together so that means they should be a great team together.
