1. Hi69 defeated SAGAT with a Foot And Neck Cradle (5:26).
2. Kikutaro defeated Ryu Gouma with a Russian Leg Sweep (8:56).
3. Kazuhiro Tamura & Daichi Kazato defeated Koji Iwamoto & Ryota Nakatsu when Kazato pinned Nakatsu with the Sister Abigail (11:31).
4. Hardcore Match: Ryuichi Sekine defeated Madoka with the Dragon Kick (11:35).
5. UWA Middleweight Title: MEN’S Teioh (c) defeated Hiroshi Fukuda with a European Clutch (13:45).
*V1 for MEN’S Teioh.
6. Hardcore Match: Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto defeated FUMA & Yusuke Kubo when Kodaka pinned Kubo with the Zeyyari (21:31).

BASARA’s first two Hardcore matches were held on this show. Isami Kodaka thought it was just the thing to put Kotetsu Gundan in their place. It wasn’t as violent as a Death Match but there were chairs, a ladder and a giant hammer involved. Kodaka scored the win but wasn’t finished with FUMA. He called him into the ring for an urgent “business meeting”. He told FUMA that his heavy metal obsession is unusual and quite frankly a middle finger to everyone else. FUMA said his costume is cool because it is made out of steel and metal! Kodaka challenged FUMA to a Steel Cage Match at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in a few days time. FUMA said they could make it a 6-Man Tag Cage match. Kodaka accepted and said they should be able to squeeze six men into the cage.

MEN’S Teioh was brought over to BASARA to hold the first defence of his UWA Middleweight Title reign against Hiroshi Fukuda. The former members of World Men’s Club duked it out with Fukuda playing some dirty tricks along the way. He lured Teioh out of the ring to chase him in circles until he stopped him with a Shoulder Block. Teioh got revenge by throwing Fukuda shoulder first into the corner post. Teioh worked on the shoulder until Fukuda grabbed the referee and pulled him into the way. Fukuda hit the Perfect Plex but the referee slowly counted the pin in protest. Fukuda let go of the hold to complain but was rolled over into a European Clutch to lose the match. Fukuda took the loss in his stride and asked Teioh if they could have another fun match sometime. Teioh heard about BASARA lifting its ban on Hardcore match. He himself isn’t interested but he might know someone who could participate in a Hardcore Match again… Terry Boy! Fukuda Vs Terry Boy in a Hardcore Match was set for 14th April.

The other Hardcore Match was between Ryuichi Sekine and Madoka. Sekine brought out a guitar so Madoka found a ukelele in response. A pile of chairs was used by both as the landing zone for some big moves. Sekine smashed his guitar over Madoka and hit a chair-assisted Dragon Kick to win the match.

6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki (c) & Shuji Ishikawa Vs Joey Ryan & Candice LeRae
7. KO-D Openweight Title: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Ken Ohka
*Ken Ohka will cash in in Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

The first Right To Challenge Contract is already being cashed in. Ken Ohka is wasting no time and wants to fight HARASHIMA for the KO-D Openweight Title this Saturday. Ohka is not giving HARASHIMA any time to recover from Sumo Hall while he himself got through the show without a scratch. He knows HARASHIMA isn’t 100% and probably has an injured knee or foot from his match with Isami Kodaka. He has all the respect in the world for the champion and they have a strong bond after their match with Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yohei Komatsu last year. But his desire to win the KO-D Title again is even stronger.

Daisuke Sasaki nominated The World’s Cutest Tag Team as the No. 1 Contenders for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. He wants revenge on Candice LeRae for turning down his marriage proposal just to get engaged to someone else afterwards. Sasaki admits he’s thinking with his crotch instead of his head. He even wants to fight LeRae’s fiancée Johnny Gargano! Amon Tsurumi is allowing the title match to happen due to Sasaki’s insistence but did point out the former champions Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo also want a title rematch.

Turns out there is one more Right To Challenge Contract up for grabs.

In an odd turn of events Super Sasadango Machine wanted to vacate the DDT Extreme Title and reward it to Antonio Honda. Tsurumi asked why and he said he wanted to give the belt to Honda as a lifetime achievement award. His request was refused so he asked if he could lend the belt to Honda instead. When that was turned down he admitted he didn’t want to defend the title until the 20th Anniversary show in Saitama Super Arena next year. Then he admitted he would rather give the belt to Honda instead of losing it to him.

5. KUDO, Masa Takanashi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano & Akito when KUDO pinned Urano with the Backspin Kick (17:44).

The card got a minor reshuffle when Gota Ihashi suffered a sudden fever and had to be pulled off the show. MIKAMI took his place in the tag team match with Kota Ibushi against Michael Nakazawa & Tomomitsu Matsunaga. MIKAMI’s original opponent Kazuki Hirata got to face trainee Shun Miyatake in an exhibition bout. Amon Tsurumi was impressed with the trainee’s performance and told him he will have another exhibition match on the 21st March Korakuen Hall show.

Shigehiro Irie has added the Axe Bomber to his repertoire. He calls it the Beast Bomber.

A few days before their All Asia Tag Team Title match in All Japan, the Drift team of Keisuke Ishii & Soma Takao faced Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi. Dino made fun of his opponents’ title match by saying it was a small match. Dino & Oishi announced they have a new double team move they call the Anal Dunk. They also claim to have championships that are more important than the All Asia belts. They have the Interim Eurasia Tag Team Championships! Ishii & Takao no sold their claim and attacked them to start the match. Dino & Oishi used the Anal Dunk, which involves Dino lying on his stomach with his rear end exposed and Oishi slamming the victim’s head into Dino’s ass. Ishii & Takao survived the Anal Dunk and were able to win the match. Dino & Oishi now allowed them to challenge for the All Asia Tag Titles.

Nakazawa & Matsunaga got the surprise win over Ibushi & MIKAMI. They requested for their match against the Golden Lovers on 21/3 to be for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Tsurumi begrudgingly made it so.

The Lucha Libre war between Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi and the Monster Army continues. This time Guanchulo’s friend Anarko Montaña got involved as the referee for the match. Both teams attempted to wrestle Llave style while yelling “Viva Mexico!” Takagi once again won with La Magistral Cradle.

Although nothing was settled between them, Kenny Omega won the main event match that also featured his challenger for the KO-D Title, HARASHIMA. Daisuke Sasaki was the third wheel and even came close to winning the 3 Way match when he gave HARASHIMA the Now Or Never. However, Omega cut him off with the Hadouken and then pinned Sasaki with the Croyt’s Wrath. Omega told HARASHIMA that wrestling him is fun and he looks forward to their match on 17/2.

Shigehiro Irie was given the MAGP Award for the show along with the cash prize of 500 yen. Irie tried to speak English during his acceptance speech but it still needs work. He called the prize “Five million dollars” for example.

Keisuke Ishii has been left puzzled after losing to MIKAMI yesterday. MIKAMI told Ishii that he is missing something fatal that would make him a successful professional wrestler but fainted before he could tell him. Ishii was so desperate to find the answer that he asked DJ Nira during their tag team match if he knew. Nira said the answer was on his shoe. When Ishii bent over to check the shoe, Nira gave him a DDT. Ishii later pinned Nira a Fisherman Buster. He asked him again and just when Nira was about to give an honest answer he fainted. Ishii wondered who else had the answer and Sanshiro Takagi told him he knew who to look for. Yoshihiko! Good thing Ishii and Yoshihiko will be part of a 6-Man Tag Team match on 17/2 in Korakuen Hall.

2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano (c) Vs Shuji Ishikawa & FUMA

The former Hiro Tsumaki has changed his ringname to FUMA after taking suggestions from fans online. After a lot of consideration, Tsumaki whittled down the entries to three choices: FUMA, Aishu Ranba and Marasho. In the end he chose FUMA. The name is inspired by Fuma Kotaro, the 16th century leader of a ninja clan that was based in Odawara, Tsumaki’s hometown. Tsumaki also liked the name because it is written in romaji, so even foreign fans will know his name.

FUMA’s timing of the announcement also worked out to his advantage because he now has a shot at the KO-D Tag Team Titles in his hometown. FUMA will form a Union team with Shuji Ishikawa to take on the champions (and FUMA’s stablemates) HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano. For this match FUMA considers himself as wrestling for Union rather than Ura-Shima-Hiro (or are they now called Ura-Shima-Fuma?).

A mysterious document was sent to Tsurumi Amon that foretold of an upcoming siege in Odawara. Word has spread that Toyotomi Hideyoshi (no, not the Osaka Pro wrestler) has gathered his forces and are marching towards Odawara as we speak. Together with samurai commander Ishida Mitsunari and tactician Date Masamune (no, not the other Osaka Pro wrestler), the trio will spearhead the attack on Odawara Castle. Meanwhile, those in the castle are preparing for battle. Hojo Ujimasa along with Narita Nagachika have rallied their troops and also have the beautiful but deadly Princess Kai on their side. Together, they must protect their castle of chairs from destruction.

I’m now in the mood to watch Sengoku Basara after typing all of that.

DDT “INTO THE FIGHT SERIES 2013 IN OYAMA”, 11/02/2013
Oyama City Cultural Center

1. Sanshiro Takagi & DJ Nira Vs Keisuke Ishii & Takao Soma
2. Yasu Urano Vs Shigehiro Irie

After all that flavour text for the Odawara show, there is not much to say about the show in Oyama one day later. Drift continue their war with DDT. While Keisuke Ishii & Takao Soma have the odd hurdle of Sanshiro Takagi & DJ Nira to climb over, Shigehiro Irie has the far tougher challenge of facing Yasu Urano one on one.

DDT “ROAD TO BUDOKAN IN YOKOHAMA ~D.D. HIGH SCHOOL DELINQUINTS~”, 22/04/2012
Yokohama Radiant Hall

1. Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Akito
2. Kana & Mio Shirai Vs Hikaru Sato & Michael Nakazawa

DDT’s promise to produce more shows throughout Japan will come to fruition with the Road To Budokan tour starting in April. So far there are six shows that are part of the tour.

The Triple Tails.S team of Kana & Mio Shirai have a nasty surprise ahead of them in Yokohama. Hikaru Sato & Michael Nakazawa, aka Do Hentai Dan will be waiting for them. Last time Nakazawa was in the ring with Kana he tried all he could to get his hands on her. Last time he was in the ring with Mio Shirai, she and her sister stripped him naked. So yeah, this match could get perverted real quickly.

Masa Takanashi has a very difficult challenge ahead of him for his first defence of the KO-D Openweight Title. Yuji Hino has been unstoppable in his DDT run as part of the Crying Wolf stable. With a KO-D Tag Team Title run already under his belt, he is now looking to add the KO-D Championship to his list of accomplishments.

Noboribetsu Date Open Air Theater

1. Falls Count Anywhere Match: Kota Ibushi Vs Sanshiro Takagi Vs Tomoya Vs Michael Nakazawa

Noboribetsu Date is a village in Hokkaido that features a lot of samurai and ninja themed tourist spots. Even though the match will begin inside the local theatre, it will certainly break out to other parts of the village. Maybe it will wind up inside the cat templt, the ninja maze or the ghost house.
