Team Red: Shoko Nakajima, Miu Watanabe, Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh, Mizuki, Yuki Aino & Mina Shirakawa

Team Blue: Hyper Misao, Yuna Manase, Hikari Noa, Yuki Kamifuku, Mahiro Kiryu, Mirai Maiumi & Sena Shiori

Team Yellow: Yuka Sakazaki, Rika Tatsumi, Natsumi Maki, Nodoka Tenma, Raku, Pom Harajuku & Suzume

A three team battle determined by costume colours was the theme for today’s dojo show. Tetsuya Koda kept the card a mystery outside of match formats until the start of the show. Shota announced each of the matches then revealed the prize for the winning team was tickets to Asakusa Hanayashiki, Japan’s oldest amusement park.

First up was Maki Itoh representing Team Red against Team Blue’s Sena Shiori. Itoh caught Shiori with a DDT off the ropes for the win. Itoh wants to stop wrestling in the dojo because nobody is there to answer her question “Who is the cutest in the world?”

Team Yellow then had their first match and got their first points when Rika Tatsumi beat Mina Shirakawa. Tatsumi tried to trap Shirakawa in the ring apron so she would get counted out but she made it back in at 19. Tatsumi countered the Implant DDT with the Twist Of Fate. She then got the three count with the Missile Hip.

Team Yellow continued their winning ways when Natsumi Maki beat Mahiro Kiryu. Maki pulled Kiryu’s hair to break out of a Crab Hold and did not let go until she was given a Spinebuster. Kiryu ran to the ropes but was caught in the Backlash to suffer another defeat for Team Blue.

Then it was time for something different. The 3 Way Match took place under 5 Rounds lasting 2 minutes each. Every wrestler would begin the match with 3 points. They lose 1 point if they are pinned for a 2 Count or if they submit. From the 2nd Round onward they can lose 1 point if they perform a banned action decided by a Twitter poll. Only the referee knows what the banned action is. The match ends when either all 5 rounds are done or if one wrestler is reduced to 0 points. The winner is whoever has the most points when the match ends. Hyper Misao and Pom Harajuku teamed up to pin Miyu Yamashita for a 2 Count. Yamashita then pinned Harajuku when she Body Slammed Misao on top of her. In Round 2 the banned action was “Speaking English”. Misao lost a point when she called for the Hero Correction System. She didn’t understand why she was penalised until the rule was revealed at the end of the round. In Round 3, Irish Whips off the ropes were illegal. Yamashita lost a point when she whipped Misao off the ropes. The banned move for Round 4 was never revealed because the match ended here. Harajuku lost a point for Irishi Whipping Yamashita off the ropes. Misao tried to strangle Yamashita with her cloak but Yamashita wrapped the cloak over Misao’s head and then kicked her with a High Kick. Yamashita went for the Attitude Adjustment but Harajuku suddenly rolled her over with a School Boy to take away Yamashita’s last point. The match ended and even though Harajuku got the final pin, Misao had one more point than her so she was the winner!

The show went back to normal with the tag match. Okay except for the part where Yuna Manase & Hikari Noa force fed Nodoka Tenma a banana. Noa pinned Suzume with the Uranage to give Team Blue a two match winning streak.

Mirai Maiumi wore similar makeup and clothing as Yuki Kamifuku so they could match together as a team. Shoko Nakajima purposely rubbed the makeup off Maiumi’s face while they wrestled. Kamifuku got revenge by drawing on her opponent’s faces with lipstick. In the end, Nakajima pinned Maiumi with the Northern Lights Suplex. She and Miu Watanabe laughed at each other’s messy faces after the match. Shota said they both looked like Princess Mononoke.

With Team Blue out of the running, the main event was down to Team Red and Team Yellow. Raku got rid of Mizuki, leaving Yuka Sakazaki to fight Yuki Aino. The two scrambled between the Magical Merry-Go-Round and the Venus DDT. Sakazaki took down Aino with a Low-Lying Lariat then hit the Magical Magical Girl Splash to make Team Yellow the overall winners!

The victory ceremony went a little off the rails. Tatsumi wanted to give her theme park pass to Mizuki. Sakazaki attacked Mizuki and suddenly everyone started fighting! Tatsumi yelled that the last ones standing would win the prize as the show finished. Team Yellow eventually got their prize back.

Today was Tokyo Joshi Pro’s turn to enter the Ochanomizu Dojo. A one day Haru Beautiful tournament featured 21 wrestlers all battling for a prize meal ticket provided by the show sponsor. The different set up allowed the winners to make comments to Shota at the commentary table after match.

The 1st Round had 2 Count Fall rules with a 5 minute time limit. Already the change in scenery had an effect on some of the girls. Maki Itoh was upset that the Cutest Knuckle Punch In The World on Suzume got no response in the empty room.

Rika Tatsumi was scared of Pom Harajuku constantly ambushing her with sneaky Low Kicks. She avoided the Pom do Justice, hit a Hip Attack and pinned Harajuku with the Twist Of Fate.

Hyper Misao blinded Mirai Maiumi with cold spray then brought in a training dummy to trick Maiumi into thinking it was her. Maiumi gave the dummy the Back Drop but was then rolled up by Misao for the 2 count. Misao called it a dignified victory to mark the beginning of her 5th anniversary in wrestling.

Miu Watanabe was intimidated by the 2 Count rules because she has never been in that kind of match before. So she submitted Haruna Neko with the Canadian Backbreaker instead.

Mizuki tried to wedge Nodoka Tenma between the ring and the wall so she would get stuck and counted out. Tenma struggled herself free and reversed a cradle to win. She said nothing is going to stop her from winning the meal ticket!

Natsumi Maki’s love of lamb meat is greater than Sena Shiori’s. That was what motivated Maki to beat her opponent.

Raku versus Yuna Manase was the only 1st Round match to reach the time limit. Manase appreciated Raku taking her on the Good Night Express because it gave her a chance to take a quick nap. When the time limit expired, Manase won a game of Rock Paper Scissors to advance to the next round.

Miyu Yamashita got her 2 Count revenge on Mahiro Kiryu. Two weeks ago Kiryu pinned Yamashita in a 2 Count Tag Match at a Tokyo Joshi fan club show. Yamashita celebrated avenging that loss by doing her old Genghis Khan dance because the show is sponsored by Genghis Khan Kirishima.

Round 2 had 5 women entering the tournament without competing in the opening round. The advantage of not wrestling a previous match worked out for most of them. Shoko Nakajima countered the Itoh Special into a Cradle to win her match. Afterwards she claimed that Itoh’s head is growing bigger every year.

Yuki Kamifuku brought along her pet dog Zac to support her since there was no audience. She would reach over and pet Zac to break out of Misao’s holds. Zac would be carried into the ring and Kamifuku dropped her guard to protect him. Misao took advantage and pinned Kamifuku with a School Boy while Zac was still in Kamifuku’s arms.

Mina Shirakawa tired Tenma out by making her run the ropes over and over. She countered the Killswitch into a Samson Clutch for the win. Afterwards she said Tenma has grown too big lately so it is a good thing she is not going to win more food. That’s how thoughtful Shirakawa is of other people. When she wins, she wins for everyone!

Hikari Noa used the Figure 4 Rotating Foot Clutch (Death By Roll-Up) that everyone has been using lately to pin Manase. Noa said that she won because Manase was impatient. She learned that from watching Manase’s earlier match with Raku.

Yuki Aino scored the biggest upset of the tournament by pinning Yamashita with the Side Suplex. The result is even more amazing given that this was their first singles match together.

It was then on to the Quarter Finals. Tatsumi Vs Nakajima went to a time limit draw. Nakajima won the game of Rock Paper Scissors by using Paper to beat Rock. Tatsumi tried to convince the ref she used Scissors but he didn’t fall for it.

It was by this point that Misao began to run out of tricks. Using the ropes for leverage and unmasking herself for a distraction didn’t work. Watanabe caught her with the Tear Drop to advance to the semi finals.

Shirakawa needed Rock Paper Scissors to advance past Maki. She claims that she has never won that game before in her life until today. But that means she used up all of her luck and she would have to rely on her abilities for the semi final.

The little rivalry between Noa and Aino was reignited in the last Quarter Final. Aino continued her momentum by winning with the Venus DDT. She used the move to counter the Cobra Twist.

Now it’s down to the final four. Nakajima Vs Watanabe lasted 5 minutes but this time sudden death consisted of the match restarting with 1 Count Falls in effect. Nakajima quickly pinned Watanabe with a Crucifix Pin to advance to the final.

Joining her in the final is Aino! She avoided Shirakawa’s Spinning Backfists and took her down with a Bulldog Headlock. The Venus DDT again gave Aino the victory.

Sadly for Aino her Cinderella run in the tournament did not get a happy ending. The final was increased to a 10 minute time limit which gave Nakajima and Aino more space to spread their wings. Aino kept going for the Venus DDT but Nakajima had counters for them. Nakajima hit the Northern Lights Suplex but a bad posture meant the move didn’t get her the pin. Nakajima had a backup plan in place. She gave Aino a Double Arm DDT and then the Diving Senton, winning the match and the Haru Beautiful tournament!

Nakajima was happy to win the tournament because she was supposed to be challenging Thunder Rosa for the International Princess Title today. It’s still a very happy day for her and she promises she won’t lose yet!

Tetsuya Koda announced that another Tokyo Joshi empty dojo show will be held on 8th March. He presented Nakajima with the prize meal ticket but Nakajima talked him into giving one to Aino too as a reward for her performance today. Yamashita joked that if everyone danced then Koda will bring everyone to go eat at Genghis Khan Kirishima. Everyone danced to bring the show to an end.

7. Main Event Prospect 2020 Special Tag Match: Hikari Noa & Yuki Aino defeated Miu Watanabe & Mirai Maiumi when Aino pinned Maiumi with the Venus DDT (10:43).

The headline match today was an opportunity to find the next generation of Tokyo Joshi Pro main eventers. You can argue if Yuki Aino is part of the next generation or not but Hikari Noa was happy to team with her and come out the victors. Noa even has a team name for them. They are Death Venus Mania! Aino said in her post-match interview that she is inspired by the women that came after the original TJPW generation. Noa would like to have a singles match with Aino again. They already fought in Korakuen Hall so this time she wants it to happen in Sumo Hall!

The match between Hyper Misao and Natsumi Maki turned into a Super Ultra Quiz. This was Misao’s idea because she thinks Maki does not have the brains to beat Miyu Yamashita. Whenever a wrestler got a two count pin or made their opponent submit they were asked a trivia question. The first wrestler to get two questions right won the match. In the first minute of the match, Maki pinned Misao and was asked “What is 3 X 4?” She correctly answered 12. The next question had both women stumped. “Where does Friday come before Thursday?” Misao said outer space but that was wrong. Maki then got a question asking her to finish the proverb “Time is…?” She said early, which was wrong. Maki was then asked “What is 8 X 6?” She said 42. Also wrong. Misao pinned Maki and correctly answered 48 to tie the game. The last question was to name the four prefectures of Shikoku. Maki got the right answer: Ehime, Kagawa, Kochi and Tokushima! Maki was declared the winner.

Maki Itoh’s use of her head was effective today. She used a Headbutt to block Rika Tatsumi’s Hip Attack early in the match then later pinned Mahiro Kiryu with the Flying Big Head.

Do you know what stops Yamashita’s kick heavy offence? It’s Pom Harajuku’s shin kicks! Her plan to kick the shins worked until Yamashita propped herself up on the ring ropes to keep her feet off the canvas. Yamashita was eventually able to knee Harajuku in the gut before pinning her with the Attitude Adjustment.

4c. Hot Water Roasted Chocolate, Which One Can Eat More: Pom Harajuku (1) defeated Yuka Sakazaki (0) (13:40).
5. 2 Count Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match: Mizuki & Mahiro Kiryu (2) defeated Miyu Yamashita & Suzume (1) (3:27).
5a. Mizuki pinned Suzume with a Crab Scissors (0:28)
5b. Miyu Yamashita pinned Kiryu with a Middle Kick (3:21).
5c. Mahiro Kiryu pinned Miyu Yamashita after the Foot Stomp from Mizuki (3:27).

The main event was Best 2 out of 3 Falls with only two count pins needed to win each fall. Mizuki quickly won the first fall by countering Suzume’s Crab Hold into a Scissors Cradle. Miyu Yamashita evened the score by pinning Mahiro Kiryu. In the final fall, Mizuki used a Casadora on Yamashita to roll her in position for a Jumping Foot Stomp. Kiryu then leapt on top of Yamashita for the surprise pinfall. Yamashita blamed the loss on her forgetting the 2 count rule. Kiryu was happy to close out the Fan Club show for the second time in a row.

Yuka Sakazaki and Pom Harajuku faced off in a Valentine Death Match. The contest wasn’t dangerous at all for those two. In Round 1 random members of the audience were given two pieces of chocolate made by Sakazaki and Harajuku without being told which one was which. Afterwards they had to choose which one they liked more. After the vote it was revealed that Sakazaki’s chocolate was the winner. The second game was a cream puff eating challenge. Whoever ate the cream puff filled with wasabi would win. However the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) joined them and Hikari Noa ate the wasabi puff. The game went to sudden death and Harajuku eventually ate another puff filled with wasabi to win. The final round involved the Up Up Girls all attempted to feed Sakazaki and Harajuku a piece of hot chocolate while blindfolded. Sayuri Nanba and the referee were fed the chocolate by accident but Harajuku ended up getting bite too so she ultimately won the Death Match.

Unfortunately Shoko Nakajima, Hyper Misao and Yuki Aino were all missing from the show. Luckily replacements were found, three Nodoka-oneesans! The one that looked like Aino teamed up with Nodoka Tenma while the two that looked like Nakajima and Misao were paired together. The one that looked like Misao attempted the I Am A Hero but missed and was pinned by the other three. After the match all four women bumped into each other. They tried to do a Miyu Yamashita victory pose in their stunned state but all collapsed instead.

The last time Rika Tatsumi and Haruna Neko faced off at a Fan Club show, Neko had two other tag partners for a Handicap Match. Tatsumi was confident she would win today and gave Neko a less than 1% chance of beating her. Neko got some help from the Up Up Girls but it backfired when she got a bat and hit all of her allies by accident. Tatsumi cradled Neko for the win.

The Sea Rider used by Mirai Maiumi is a Modified Camel Clutch with one knee pressed against the victim’s back.

Himawari Unagi and the trainee Aona held a quick Rock Paper Scissors tournament for the fan club members during intermission.

6. Miyu Yamashita defeated Natsumi Maki with the Backward Kick (9:24).
7. Yuka Sakazaki & Maki Itoh defeated Lana Austin & Yuki Aino when Sakazaki pinned Aino with the Magical Girl Splash (9:51).

Losing a tooth in Alabama is not getting Yuka Sakazaki down. She’s still winning matches and letting Lana Austin know what she is getting into when the Princess Of Princess Title match takes place next Tuesday. Austin has a few tricks of her own though. She caught the opposing team off guard when she used Maki Itoh as a launching step to hit Sakazaki with the Poetry In Motion. Yuki Aino tried to capitalize but Sakazaki took over and got the victory.

In the rematch between Miyu Yamashita and Natsumi Maki, Yamashita wasted no time in testing her opponent. Maki was more motivated today and put up a better fight. But Yamashita came out the winner again, this time using the Backward Kick for the pin. After today’s match Yamashita is now satisfied and thinks she fought the proper version of Natsumi Maki. The match was so much fun this time around that Yamashita wants another rematch, this time in Tokyo. Maki likes the idea. She still wants to beat Yamashita using her own one of a kind techniques.

Saki Akai praised Hikari Noa for putting up a good fight against her. Noa had Akai grounded with the Cobra Twist but Akai countered it into a Triangle Choke to get the win.

Raku wasn’t able to get her first win today. She was left feeling a little frustrated after losing to Miu Watanabe.

Rumours went around that an agent for a nearby fashion show was in the audience. Yuna Manase, Mirai Maiumi, Hyper Misao and Pom Harajuku all made poses during their match in the hopes of getting noticed. Even the referee was tempted to strut across the ring. It turned out to be a trap for Misao & Harajuku to ambush Manase & Maiumi but it didn’t work out in the end.

In the opening match Shoko Nakajima, Nodoka Tenma & Haruna Neko were put on the same team because they are all under 150cm in height.
