5. Kung Fu Yoga Allied Forces Vs Ninja USA Forces Counter Attack: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & FUMA Vs Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT

Asian Kung Fu Revolution are producing the evening show. Can the alliance of Kung Fu and Yoga defeat American ninjas in the final battle of the night?

The Gilberto Style Match between Urano and Kodaka is taken from the anime Baki The Grappler. In the anime it is a contest where both fighters hold onto the same handkerchief while they fight. The first one to let go of the handkerchief loses. The “Loser Loses” wordplay is because the Loser Loses his honour in defeat.

Speed Of Sounds having a match against each other is notable by itself but the match title sounding like a reference to Ranma 1/2’s cursed springs has me confused over what they could be planning.

7. D-Ou Grand Prix 2022 – Final: Yuki Ueno Vs Yukio Naya

Naya visited his father Takatoriki Tadashige this week to give him the latest report on his pro wrestling career as well as talk about his brother Oho’s currently impressive run at the Grand Sumo Tournament in Fukuoka. Naya told his father he was competing in the D-Ou Grand Prix and qualified for the final next month. Takatoriki praised his son for working hard but told him he always had weak luck. Everybody likes people who are hungry to succeed and try their best but those qualities can be useless if Naya does not have the spirit to bring down his opponent and win. So Takatoriki offered to teach Naya that spirit by using forbidden gambling training to improve his luck.

The training is forbidden because Takatoriki was a retired sumo wrestler who became blackballed from the sport after admitting to illegal gambling on baseball games which resulted borrowing large amounts of money to pay off his debts. Despite his dark history with gambling, he felt this was necessary and challenged Naya to beat him in a game of blackjack. Naya succeeded and his father promised to reward him with a 6 month gift voucher at a Personal Training gym if he wins the D-Ou Grand Prix.

Four of the D-Ou Grand Prix participants who failed to make the final now have to team up together and fight the entire DAMNATION T.A.

Naruki Doi returns and gets his request to fight HARASHIMA granted. It’s in a 6-Man Tag Match though and HARASHIMA has to fight against the rest of his DISASTER BOX stablemates.

Shinjuku FACE

1. Miu Watanabe defeated Kaya Toribami with the Canadian Backbreaker (8:10).
2. Hyper Misao defeated Pom Harajuku with the I Am A Hero (9:38).
3. Mizuki defeated Mahiro Kiryu with the Cutie Special (8:37).
4. Yuki Aino & Raku defeated Shoko Nakajima & Haruna Neko when Raku pinned Neko with the Sunrise (9:20).
5. Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Kamifuku & Nao Kakuta defeated Suzume, Moka Miyamoto & Arisu Endo when Kakuta pinned Endo with the Shiden Kai (13:29).
6. Billie Starkz & Millie McKenzie defeated Yuka Sakazaki & Miyu Yamashita when McKenzie pinned Yamashita with the Arm-Clutch Saito Suplex (13:58).

The international challengers landed in Japan with a victory over the champion team. Yuka Sakazaki had Millie McKenzie beaten with the Magical Girl Splash until Billie Starkz broke the pin with a Swanton Bomb from the top rope. Starkz then took Sakazaki out with a Topé. McKenzie got her second wind against Miyu Yamashita by blocking the Skull Kick, hitting a Spear and then using an Arm-Clutch Saito Suplex to pin the EVE Champion. After the match McKenzie told the fans in English she loves Japan so much she wants to win the EVE Title in Korakuen Hall and come back here again. Yamashita swore she won’t lose to her again and will definitely beat her in the title match. Backstage, Starkz admitted she feels overwhelmed by Sakazaki’s energy but she has no doubt she can win the Princess Of Princess Title from her next week. Sakazaki said she and Yamashita need to bet on the pride of Tokyo Joshi Pro to both defend their championships.

Yuki Aino & Raku have combined both of their finishing moves into a devastating double team finisher. Sunrise is a combination of the Venus DDT and the Doctor Yellow.

Hikari Noa was pulled from the show due to being in poor condition. The 3 Way Match she was meant to be in became a regular singles match between Mizuki and Mahiro Kiryu instead. Shino took Noa’s place in the show opening Up Up Girls musical performance.

Match #2 turned into the Spider-Man pointing meme because Pom Harajuku walked out wearing a superhero mask and cloak. She interrupted Hyper Misao’s pre-match speech and introduced herself as Hyper Pom. Misao was insulted and unmasked her after an attack. Harajuku then went out of the ring and placed her mask first on Arisu Endo, then on Sayuri Namba and then on Daisuke Kiso. Misao kept falling for the trick thinking each of them was Harajuku in disguise. Harajuku tried to pin her with a Roll Up but it was kicked out of. The two then fought up to the top rope and started arguing over who should step down first. They tried to settle it with Rock-Paper-Scissors but instead Misao gave Harajuku the Avalanche Hyper Gotham Crash and then went back up the turnbuckle to hit the I Am A Hero for the win.

Namba was at a wedding earlier in the day and decided to keep the same dress on during her ring announcing duties.

Yamashita Wins EVE Title!

1. EVE Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Millie McKenzie
2. Princess Tag Team Titles: Saki Akai & Yuki Arai (c) Vs Yuki Aino & Raku
3. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuka Sakazaki (c) Vs Billie Starkz

Yesterday in England, EVE held two shows called “WRESTLE QUEENDOM V” with Miyu Yamashita and Hyper Misao among the talent involved*. Yamashita came out of the shows as one of the big winners of the weekend. She beat Millie McKenzie in a No. 1 Contender match on the first show, then on the second show beat Alex Windsor to become the new EVE Champion! McKenzie challenged Yamashita for the title afterwards, reminding everyone she beat her in Spain last month and they now have a 1-1 record against each other. Yamashita agreed and since McKenzie is already going to wrestle in Japan next week, it will be the perfect time to do the rubber match over there!

The team of Yuki Aino & Raku are the newest challengers for Reiwa AA Cannon. The two of them being paired together recently has raised Raku’s confidence and she would like nothing more but to win the Princess Tag Team Titles and give her belt the perfect window seat on her train journeys.

*I’ll write a more detailed report in my Around The World post at the start of next month.

*Dog Lovers 1-0 Cat Lovers.
4b. Mid-Level Battle ~ “Nyan” Count Fall Rule: Hyper Misao defeated Arisu Endo with a Gedo Clutch (1:50).
*Dog Lovers 1-1 Cat Lovers.
4c. General Match ~ Complete Conclusion 3 Count Fall Rule: Yuki Kamifuku Vs Nao Kakuta ended in a No Contest when Haruna Neko interfered (4:30).
*Dog Lovers 1-1 Cat Lovers.
5. Costume Change 6-Woman Tag Match: Rika Tatsumi, Suzume & Moka Miyamoto defeated Mizuki, Raku & Pom Harajuku when Tatsumi pinned Harajuku with the Twist Of Fate (10:38).

Everyone in the main event all wore different costumes from other members of the Tokyo Joshi Pro roster. Rika Tatsumi wore Yuka Sakazaki’s costume, Suzume wore Miu Watanabe’s costume, Moka Miyamoto wore Raku’s costume, Mizuki wore Maki Itoh’s costume, Raku wore Tatsumi’s costume and Pom Harajuku wore a Nodoka-oneesan costume. Mizuki was joined by Itoh and together sang “Setsunairo” for her entrance. Along with the change in costumes there were change in behaviours too. Everyone tried wrestling as the women they were dressed as.

A team of Dog Lovers took on a team of Cat Lovers in a series of singles matches. Yuki Kamifuku, Hikari Noa & Arisu Endo all had dog ears, face paint and pictures of their pet dogs hanging over their necks. Hyper Misao, Nao Kakuta & Mahiro Kiryu were the same but with cats. Noa beat Kiryu in the first match after taking the photo of Kiryu’s cat as a distraction. Then in the second match Misao pinned Endo to even the score. The third and deciding match between Kamifuku and Kakuta got interrupted when Haruna Neko was brought into the ring as a hostage for the Dog Lovers. The Cat Lovers all said they didn’t care about her which caused Neko to attack all of them in anger. Daisuke Kiso tried to calm Neko down but then she started attacking him causing the match to get called off.

Neko had a match scheduled against Miyu Yamashita but Yamashita was running late. She had wrestled in Spain earlier in the week but only just arrived home in Japan today. Sayuri Namba had to sing “Makenaide” by ZARD to pass the time until Yamashita finally arrived in the venue. She wore her wrestling gear underneath her clothes and had to undress in the ring before the match began.

A game of Werewolf took place in the 4 Way match. Each wrestler took a card, three had Citizen written on it and one said Werewolf. The Werewolf had to keep their role secret and would win if two Citizens were eliminated. If the Werewolf was beaten before that then all three Citizens would win. It led to the women acting sus over who was the Werewolf among us. Shoko Nakajima thought the Werewolf was Yuki Aino because this was her first time wrestling on a TJPW Fan Club show (she was always weirdly absent from the previous shows and replaced by mysterious masked wrestlers). When Nakajima pinned her for the elimination it was revealed she was a Citizen. Itoh then pinned Nakajima for the elimination only to find out Nakajima was a Citizen too. That meant Kaya Toribami was the Werewolf and lasted long enough to be declared the winner!

Sakazaki and Watanabe were put in a cooking contest against each other. But first they took part in a few mini games to determine what ingredients they get to use. The winner of each game got a better ingredient. Sakazaki won a hair-braiding race but Watanabe won a jump rope game and also a drawing contest (Sakazaki was asked to draw St. Francis Xavier while Watanabe drew Oda Nobunaga). They spent the rest of the show preparing the meal and Daisuke Kiso judged them before the main event. Kiso picked Sakazaki’s food as the winner, pretty much because the meat used was already a commercial product he likes.

7. International Princess Title: Miu Watanabe defeated Alex Windsor (c) with the Tear Drop (10:21).
*Alex Windsor fails in V2. Miu Watanabe becomes the 9th International Princess Champion!
8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Saki Akai & Yuki Arai (c) defeated Rhia O’Reilly & Nightshade when Arai pinned Nightshade with the Finally (10:21).
*V2 for Reiwa AA Cannon.
9. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuka Sakazaki defeated Shoko Nakajima (c) with the Magical Girl Niwatori Yaro (22:44).
*Shoko Nakajima fails in V5. Yuka Sakazaki becomes the 11th Princess Of Princess Champion!

For the third time in her career, Yuka Sakazaki has become the Princess Of Princess Champion! She avenged her loss against Shoko Nakajima from June at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” to regain the belt for the first time in 21 months. Nakajima pulled out her biggest moves to try and defend the title including the Locomotion Northern Lights Suplex as well as the Diving Senton onto the ring apron. But Sakazaki went high risk by performing the Magical Merry-Go-Round off the top turnbuckle. The Magical Girl Splash was not enough to finish off the champ so Sakazaki had to pull out the 450 version to win in the end.

Sakazaki was thrilled with the result and hugged Nakajima after the match. Nakajima wrapped the title belt around her waist in return. Sakazaki then told the fans she was finally able to beat Nakajima and got to do so in a big venue in front of a sold out crowd. She said it is because of the fans supporting Tokyo Joshi Pro that she’s been able to steadily improve her skills enough to make this moment happen. She also talked about TJPW’s growth resulting in her making new friends not just in Japan but from overseas too.

As the show was reaching its end, the entire roster gathered together and Sakazaki told them there is an important announcement about to be made. A video played containing two messages. First, the annual Ittenyon show at Korakuen Hall on 4th January will take place again in 2023 for the 8th consecutive year. Secondly, “GRAND PRINCESS ’23” is taking place at Ariake Coliseum on 18th March, 2023! It will be the first wrestling show to be held in the venue in 6 and a half years.

The growing relationship between TJPW and EVE resulted in several British wrestlers taking part in title matches below the main event. The Uprising of Rhia O’Reilly & Nightshade were brand new opponents for Reiwa AA Cannon. It was the first time Yuki Arai was taking on wrestlers from another country. However with Saki Akai’s guidance, the champions were able to retain. Together they took out O’Reilly with Double Rookie Awards and Akai got to pin Nightshade with the Finally. Akai explained in her post match interview that even though The Uprising had the size and power advantage, she could sense herself & Arai climbing up step by step towards victory as the match went on. Arai said the match is a reminder she still has a lot to learn but she got good experience from it. Akai does not know when their next defence is but she wants to spend Christmas and New Year’s with Arai and take their title reign all the way to Valentine’s Day so they can exchange their belts to each other.

Miu Watanabe’s breakout performance at this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup has paid off with her winning the International Princess Title! She beat Alex Windsor by kicking out of the Liger Bomb and pinning her with the Tear Drop. This is not the first time Watanabe has held gold in TJPW but she’s been waiting so long to win a singles title as a reward for her progress that it sure felt like her first time today. After the summer Watanabe had, she believes today’s result was destiny. The president of the idol agency The Up Up Girls are signed to once told her that the day she becomes a full-fledged pro wrestler will also be the day she becomes a full-fledged idol. She wants to do her best to grow the value of the championship while also continuing to grow as a wrestler herself. That includes defending the title overseas.

The last time Miyu Yamashita fought Riho was in 2019 for DDT so she really wanted to spend a lot of time in the ring against her today. Maki Itoh wanted to fight Riho of course and tried replicating her athletic bridging pin kickout. Hikari Noa was also happy to finally team with Riho for the first time. It was a match that Riho was really looking forward to and at the end she picked Yamashita as someone she would like to fight more often. The two of them pretty much cancelled each other out so it was up to Itoh to get the win by making Noa tap out.

Monster collided with monster when Max The Impaler and Aja Kong were put on opposite sides of the trios match. Everyone else involved were just as much trying to stop those two from tearing down the arena together than they were trying to win. Max threw Pom Harajuku around a lot and then threw her own partner Yuki Aino at Kong. Raku’s idea to arm herself with a pillow for her sleep inducing offence worked about as well as you’d expect. Kong kept Max at bay by attacking her with a steel can while Rika Tatsumi pinned Harajuku with the Sliding Hip Attack. That didn’t stop the two monsters fighting after the match and they brawled up to the stage entrance with everyone else trying to break things up. When things finally calmed down backstage, Tatsumi said they all became closer. Aino absolutely disagreed. What they could agree on was Tokyo Dome City Hall was successfully protected from the Great Monster War. Meanwhile Kong is demanding another match with Max and wants it to be held in a venue that will let her do whatever she wants!

Hyper Misao thinks she is almost evenly matches with Mizuki. The one big difference is she lacks the flowery personality of Mizuki that makes her so princess-like. So Misao asked for the match to be held under TDC (Tottemo Dekkai Chance) Rules. A large bag of random treats and goodies was brought into the ring and everything within it was allowed to be used as a weapon. The ring was soon covered in ribbons, balloons, party string while Misao and Mizuki attacked each other with Pico Pico Hammers. Misao then emptied out a box of Nakajima’s kaiju toys to slam her opponent onto. They fought up to the stage where Misao trapped Mizuki in a garbage can and walked off to find her Combat Bike. Meanwhile Mizuki quietly escaped and hid behind the can with a fire extinguisher, spraying Misao with it when she charged in from across the stage (she later revealed Sanshiro Takagi taught her how to use it). Mizuki brought her back to the ring, climbed a ladder and hit the Diving Stomp off of it to get the win. Mizuki said she proved she can be even more crazy than Misao. But she doesn’t want to be like that so please continue calling her cute.

The speed of Suzume clashed with the brawn of Ryo Mizunami in a first time match. Suzume did some dives early but was drawn into Elbow Smash battles of which Mizunami came out on top of. Suzume switched to some clever matwork but was worn down with more Elbow Smashes. When she was on her last legs, Mizunami encouraged her to stand back up under her own strength so she could be finished off with the Lariat. This was Mizunami’s second match in TJPW and she is becoming fascinated by the place. She sees the future potential in everyone here which encourages herself to keep being stronger. Suzume wants to fight her again so she can also become strong and not lose so easily.

The Actwres girl’Z alumni were victorious against the TJPW home team. Toyo Mates organised some teamwork with Haruna Neko but Yuna Manase broke it apart with a Lariat to Mahiro Kiryu. She was then hit by Yuki Kamifuku’s Big Boot and Kamifuku was wiped out from Yoshiko Hasegawa’s Flying Cross Body. Neko got rid of her with the Nekodebraker and tried to wrap things up against Nao Kakuta. But Kakuta got the upper hand and pinned Neko after a Cross-Arm DDT followed by the Shiden Kai. Backstage Kakuta said it’s been two years since she announced her participation with TJPW in TDC Hall. Two years later and she got to be with both Manase and Hasegawa again. She wrestled in a new costume today but will be evolving herself to become better. The match was Hasegawa’s first victory since returning to wrestling so it is a big deal for her. Manase said she will do her best so that the day will come when they get to fight together again.

Seven months after her debut, Juria Nagano scores her first win. She teamed with Moka Miyamoto in the opener against Arisu Endo & Kaya Toribami in a new generation clash. Miyamoto used a Rotating Brainbuster on Endo, giving Nagano the opening to hit a Whirlwind Kick on Toribami for the win. It was a move Nagano was secretly working on but it has a bad hit rate so she waited until she had the chance to finally use it. Nagano’s next goal is to win a singles match. She hasn’t won one yet and feels the need to prove she can win without the help of her seniors.

The Up Up Girls performed at the beginning of the show like they usually do. This time however the newest member Shino performed one of the songs with the rest of the group. She is still getting ready for her eventual pro wrestling debut.

There are two new trainees, both from middle school. Haru is 14 years old and a 3rd year junior high school student from Tokyo. Momo is from Saitama, also 14 years old and is in her 2nd year of junior high. Both said they will do their best to make it to their debut matches.

Kong Vs Max, Hot Spring Match, Takagi’s Final Battle With Pheromones, Miracle Rematch 12 Years Later

September 20, 2022

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS III”, 09/10/2022
Tokyo Dome City Hall

1. Aja Kong, Raku & Pom Harajuku Vs Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Aino & Max The Impaler
2. Mizuki Vs Hyper Misao
3. International Princess Title: Alex Windsor (c) Vs Miu Watanabe
4. Princess Tag Team Titles: Saki Akai & Yuki Arai (c) Vs Rhia O’Reilly & Nightshade
5. Princess Of Princess Title: Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Yuka Sakazaki

The return of Alex Windsor to Japan is happening just in time because there is now a No. 1 Contender for her International Princess Title. Last week Miu Watanabe won the next title shot and will now face Windsor for the belt at “WRESTLE PRINCESS III”. Winning the title here will continue her big momentum coming out of the summer.

Two pro wrestling beasts will collide! For ages Tetsuya Koda thought that Aja Kong was the only monster left in joshi. Then he discovered Max The Impaler and brought the wasteland warrior over to Tokyo Joshi Pro. Max looked unstoppable in their few appearances here so Koda found himself in an embarrassing position to look for help, otherwise his roster is going to get destroyed by Max one wrestler at a time. Luckily for him, Kong always shows up at TJPW’s most important shows and Koda thinks she is the only one who can hunt down Max. There’s one problem though. If Kong and Max fight each other outside the ring they could end up causing a lot of damage around Tokyo Dome City Hall and TJPW will have to pay what will certainly be a massive repair bill. Koda’s solution is to ask the other four women in the match to stop that from happening and keep the two monsters within the squared circle. Kong gets along with Raku & Pom Harajuku while Max took a liking to Rika Tatsumi & Yuki Aino so there’s a chance our hapless heroes can somehow calm down the monsters enough to keep the match under control.

The main event is between a member of Kyoraku Kyomei and The Magical Sugar Rabbits. So let’s have the other halves of both teams face off against each other too. Hyper Misao and Mizuki have only one previous singles match together that happened back in 2018. Mizuki won that match. Misao will need to come up with something clever to even the score.

1. Pheromones Vs Takagi-gun Complete Settlement Battle FINAL: X Vs X

It’s the final battle between Sanshiro Takagi and Pheromones. Again. For like the fourth time I think? Well they mean it this time. Takagi is once more trying to destroy Pheromones for good before they destroy the company. With four members in the unit, Pheromones claim they are complete and at the pique of their power. But Takagi cannot risk letting them continue to exist in this way. The match type and participants for the climactic battle in this war has not been decided yet. If it’s all four members of Pheromones involved then that means Yuki Iino, Danshoku Dieno, Yumehito Imanari & Koju Takeda taking part. Takagi has been relying lately on Antonio Honda, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata to compete against them. So the cast is there for a 4 Vs 4 Tag match of some kind. That nothing has been decided yet makes me wonder if there is a wild card going to be played by either side.

“The Iai Puncher” Hikaru Machida will be on the show.

“MASAHIRO TAKANASHI INDEPENDENT PERFORMANCE – BOKUTACHI 4 HANJUKU 4 I LOVE YOU! 2022”, 22/11/2022
Shinjuku FACE

1. Daisuke Sekimoto Vs Masahiro Takanashi

Twelve years ago in Shinjuku FACE there was a KO-D Openweight Title defence. The outsider champion Daisuke Sekimoto put the belt on the line against little Masa Takanashi. What followed was a classic David Vs Goliath bout with a performance from Takanashi that was seconds away from being described as a miracle victory. Sekimoto won the match in the end and remained champion. The two never had never faced against each other since then. Well soon will be time for the rematch in the same room. Masahiro Takanashi has grown a lot since that title challenge and after a twelve year wait is going to face Sekimoto one more time in the main event of his own self produced show.

2. Rika Tasumi & Miu Watanabe defeated Suzume & Haruna Neko when Tatsumi pinned Neko with the Twist Of Fate (15:10).

5. Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Raku defeated Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Pom Harajuku when Raku pinned Harajuku with the Doctor Yellow (16:27).

Today’s result is the first time Raku has ever directly won a match in the main event! She was able to pin Pom Harajuku with the Doctor Yellow after 121000000 dealt with The Magical Sugar Rabbits. Raku admitted she was scared of MagiRabi but Maki Itoh told her they are all pro wrestlers. Raku told Itoh & Miyu Yamashita that she thinks of them like an express train while she likes to take it easy stopping one station at a time. Today though she feels like a special express train and will do her best to win more.

The 2 Count Fall match had an extra rule where you had to drink a glass of concentrated lemon juice after every one count or rope break. Hyper Misao came up with the idea and Nao Kakuta agreed to the stipulation because they come from the same generation of pro wrestling. They have no previous history together but both share the same bitter experiences in singles matches. Kakuta looks forward to having more crazy meetings with Misao in the future.

Toyo Mates have a new tag team finisher ready to use. The Enryo involves Mahiro Kiryu bridging out the victim for Yuki Kamifuku to hit the Famouser on. It is named after Enryo Inoue, the founder of Toyo University. They are challenging for the Princess Tag Team Titles tomorrow so Kiryu is now in Full Power Mahiro Mode! Kamifuku said she wants to win the championships tomorrow so she and Kiryu can visit Toyo University and give advice to students who are unsure about what to do with their lives after they graduate.

In an attempt to attract more female fans to their shows, Tokyo Joshi Pro held their third “GO GIRL 3” event today which took place in front of an exclusively female audience. The first two shows held last year took place in Itabashi Green Hall. Today’s show took place in a bigger and more important venue, Korakuen Hall.

A new logo was unveiled for TJPW, replacing the pink crown that was used since its creation over 10 years ago. TJPW’s brand is “The Happiest Pro Wrestling” and the new logo was created to convey that. The design includes the TJPW abbreviation to equally appeal towards both Japanese and overseas fans. The letters rising from left to right represents momentum and a sporty atmosphere while the W at the end is shaped like a tiara.

Six of TJPW’s best were put together in the main event. It built around the “WRESTLE PRINCESS III” main event of Shoko Nakajima versus Yuka Sakazaki, placed Nakajima on the same team with Daydream and allowed The Magical Sugar Rabbits to join forces with Miyu Yamashita. All six brought out their strongest effort but it was Nakajima who stood tall in the end, pinning Mizuki with the Diving Senton.

She said she felt energetic today because she knew there were people in the audience watching their first wrestling show today along with fans who have always supported TJPW. Rika Tatsumi called the show a great success and hopes many more will happen. Miu Watanabe was happy to hear fresh voices among the cheers and thinks it would be great if they come back again. Yamashita was also happy to do a show like this in Korakuen and her feelings over it made up for her losing today. Mizuki also wanted to win but understands how strong all of her opponents are today. She wants everyone to do their best so a “GO GIRL” show can take place in front of a sold out venue. Sakazaki went further and encouraged everyone in the audience to become trainees!

Four singles matches were put together as attraction matches for the show. Yuki Kamifuku defeated Yuki Arai in the semi-main event in a match that was originally meant to take place last summer. Kamifuku did not make the mistake of thinking Arai is still the rookie she was last year. After all Arai is a champion now. Instead Kamifuku thinks TJPW have been too reliant on the idol’s promotional power and wanted to get herself out there to attract new fans. By beating Arai today, she is setting the table for Toyo Meyiu’s match against Reiwa AA Cannon for the Princess Tag Team Titles on 4th September. Arai is left feeling regret over not getting to look cool in front of the audience watching her for the first time.

Arai’s tag partner Saki Akai had no such trouble. Hikari Noa got a cheap shot in by Dropkicking Akai from behind after a pre-match handshake. Akai returned fire with Big Boots and focused on getting her opponent in a Triangle Choke. Noa kept herself in the match with Thrust Kicks until Akai would finally capture her in the submission hold, making her opponent give up. Akai thinks being an idol and doing pro wrestling has become relatively normal. She noticed there were some children in the audience so she would like to be the kind of wrestler who will inspire those kids to become pro wrestlers too. Noa was disappointed to lose right before she goes to England to try and win back the International Princess Title.

Doesn’t matter what gender the audience is. They all still agree that Maki Itoh is the cutest in the world! She expected that of course. She also has a name for her Flying DDT that she’s started to win matches with. The I.S.D stands for ITOH SUICIDE DDT. Yuki Aino had her own big move to try out. She gave Itoh a second rope Side Suplex over the ropes but it wasn’t enough for her to win the match. She still enjoyed wrestling in this environment and it makes her want to fight more.

Hyper Misao knew she was going up against Raku and her sleepy tactics so she drank a caffeinated energy drink before the match. It didn’t work and Raku was able to make her drowsy with a Sleeper Hold. Misao used her cooling spray on herself to wake up and took another gulp of the energy drink. This time it worked and she was able to beat Raku in the end. She thanked the audience crediting their cheers for keeping her awake.

This was the third time Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano teamed up together. They enjoy being in the same matches and feel more motivated to win together. Mahiro Kiryu was happy to win and believes it was through the power of the audience. Nao Kakuta thinks it will be great if they can get even more women in the audience.

Daisy Monkey kicked off the show with a win over Pom Harajuku & Haruna Neko. The cute and colorful atmosphere got Suzume & Arisu Endo excited. Even Harajuku, who swears she takes pro wrestling seriously admits she got a little carried away because of the crowd.

Over the Summer TJPW has been uploading episodes of Yume Pro Wrestling -dream on the ring- onto their Youtube channel. It follows a group of idols training to become a pro wrestler with one of them ultimately getting a debut match. The remaining idols are Wakana Uehara, Himari Manaka and Risako. The 4th contestant Ema pulled out late in the series because she was unable to give 100% effort alongside her other commitments. Yume Pro Wrestling will hold a one off show in Shinjuku FACE on 14th October featuring their idols in an exhibition match. It will be the final challenge in the competition to decide who will make their dream come true. Uehara and Manaka were in attendance and spoke of their enthusiasm for their final test.

Today is the 5th anniversary of The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) debut musical performance. Their schedule for today was their usual responsibilities in Tokyo Joshi Pro followed by a concert performance over in the @JAM EXPO 2022 in the Yokohama Arena. On today’s show Miu Watanabe was on the winning team in the main event, teaming with Shoko Nakajima to beat Daisy Monkey. Elsewhere on the card Raku lost to Yuka Sakazaki while Hikari Noa won her match as part of Free WiFi. While all of this is going on Shino, the newest member of The Up Up Girls is currently training for her debut.

Tomorrow’s “GO GIRL 3” show will unveil the new TJPW logo. Nakajima is a little sad to see the logo they’ve been using for 9 years finally go away. But she believes when something in the company changes then so too should the wrestlers and they will continue to work as hard as ever.

Hyper Misao went to see the movie “Green Bullet” and was inspired to go from super hero to a hitman for hire! She entered the 3 Way Match armed with two guns (relax they turned out to be water pistols) and asked if Mizuki or Yuki Aino will become her assistant. Mizuki agreed and took one of the guns, only to turn it on Misao. Later Misao tried to take Aino hostage at gunpoint but Mizuki coldly told them she doesn’t care what happens to her.

For the second match in a row Free WiFi grabbed Haruna Neko’s hair and bit her pigtails during their match.
