-. Daichi Kazato (2)
3. FUMA (0)

The Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ tournament began with four matches, two from each group. In the main event Takumi Tsukamoto fought with Hiroshi Fukuda for almost 20 minutes until a Tiger Suplex won him the match. Fukuda was no joke here and Tsukamoto collapsed in exhaustion afterwards. He praised Fukuda for bring strong and wondered how similar the Perfect Plex is to his own Fisherman Suplex.

Isami Kodaka’s injured left eye was targeted by Yusuke Kubo throughout their match. Kodaka countered the Goro Suplex into a European Clutch for the victory and credited Dick Togo for teaching him how to win matches that way.

Ryuichi Sekine countered SAGAT’s Goregrind with a High Kick and the Ryusetsu to win his first match of the tournament. Sekine said he will ride on a horse to victory and become the new ace of BASARA. SAGAT grunted a lot in his post-match interview but did say enough to warn his remaining opponents he will become more violent.

After the opening exchange between Daichi Kazato and Ryu Gouma had finished Gouma shouted “Ladies and gentlemen this is wrestling!” He then left the ring and requested Kazato to fight him outside. Gouma’s plan for the tournament is to win or tie all of his matches by countout. Kazato didn’t fall for the plan but later in the match Gouma was able to drag him out of the ring. However the plan backfired and Kazato made it back to the ring and left Gouma outside to get counted out.

1. Hi69 & Takumi Tsukamoto defeated Koji Iwamoto & Ryota Nakatsu when Hi69 pinned Nakatsu with the Stuka Splash (16:04).
2. Hercules Senga & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated FUMA & Yusuke Kubo when Oosugi pinned Kubo with the Tsukinoishi (7:00).
3. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ Exhibition Match: Isami Kodaka Vs Ryu Gouma ended in a Double Countout (6:48).
4. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ Exhibition Match: Hiroshi Fukuda defeated SAGAT with the Perfect Plex (9:46)
5. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ Exhibition Match: Ryuichi Sekine defeated Daichi Kazato with the Ryusetsu (12:28).

Three preview matches for the Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ tournament took place on this show. Each match had a Group A wrestler against a Group B wrestler. It is possible that one of these matches can end up happening again in the final match.

In the main event Ryuichi Sekine defeated Daichi Kazato in a back and forth contest. Sekine got the fall when he hit the Kamikaze followed bu the Ryusetsu kick. Sekine said after the match that he cannot afford to lose even to his Cavalry partner Ryota Nakatsu. His goal is to be the ace of BASARA! Kazato defended his loss by claiming it’s all part of his secret plan. This match was just a test.

Buddies Hiroshi Fukuda and SAGAT had to face each other one on one. According to Fukuda, SAGAT said he wanted to have a sporting contest between the two because he respects Fukuda so much. Turns out it was a mistranslation because SAGAT did not hold back from aggressively attacking his friend. Fukuda fought back with some dirty tactics including a Low Blow after the referee was knocked down. Fukuda wore down SAGAT with a Dragon Sleeper and was able to pin him with the Perfect Plex. The two made up afterwards.

Under normal circumstances Isami Kodaka Vs Ryu Gouma is a mismatch. However Kodaka went into the match with his head heavily bandaged to cover a left eye injury. That evened the odds a little bit. Kodaka was still getting the better of Gouma, so much so that Gouma eventually wanted to quit and left the ring with Kodaka chasing after him. Gouma offered a handshake with the intention to low blow Kodaka but it was blocked. Kodaka tried to Suplex Gouma onto the floor but that was also blocked. With the referee counting close to 20 Kodaka tried to return to the ring but Gouma attacked him with his Statue Book until they were both counted out. Backstage Kodaka was unhappy with the result. A draw is the same as a loss to him. He reckons his eye injury will be healed before the tournament starts so he’s not letting that worry him. Gouma thinks if he can get a draw with the ace of BASARA then he can get a draw with anybody! His goal now seems to be to end all of his group matches in a draw!

Last week during the DDT Dramatic General Election results show there was a few news items about the aftermath of Union’s closure. The big news is the formation of a new wrestling organisation called Pro Wrestling BASARA. Led by Isami Kodaka, BASARA aims to rebel against the industry’s current regime with flashy wrestling. Kodaka was joined by former Union wrestlers Hiroshi Fukuda, Daichi Kazato, Ryu Gouma and SAGAT as the first wrestlers signed to the new brand. FUMA has also joined the group according to Kodaka. Kazato said he wants to dye his own colours into BASARA, SAGAT said he will work hard for the new brand, Gouma said he is here because BASARA was missing intelligence and compliance without him, and Fukuda said he wants to continue pursuing the wrestling he believes in and that involves the power of singing.

The first four BASARA shows will take place next year on 21st January in Shinjuku, 5th February in Saitama, 21st February in Osaka and 26th February in Yokohama. Kodaka said he wants to book shows in more rural areas in Japan and might do two shows a month if BASARA becomes successful. He will continue to promote the Tavern Wrestling shows alongside BASARA aswell as take outside bookings but the new brand is his priority.

Not everyone from Union is jumping over to BASARA, instead they have gone down different roads. Seiya Morohashi, Cherry and Lady Beard have all been signed by DDT. Morohashi said a lot has changed in DDT during the six years he has been gone. Cherry is happy to return to the company she debuted for and she is now a coach in a wrestling school DDT is associated with. Lady Beard is excited to work for DDT. Shuji Ishikawa and Mitomi Masayuki have both become freelancers. Masayuki wants to work for a variety of groups and prefers to take bookings on his own from now on. He thanked the entire DDT company for everything he learned during his time here. Yusuke Kubo and Daichi are both leaving wrestling. Kubo has gone back to working for DDT’s video production team while Daichi wasn’t booked much even as a part-timer.

Union held two shows in Tokyo BASEMENT MON☆STAR today dedicated to their Get The Glory tournament. All of Union’s regular talent took part and the prize was a match of the winner’s choice taking place in Korakuen Hall on 29th April. The end result saw some big changes to the promotion’s landscape.

In the afternoon show Goro Jr. surprised everyone with a victory over Seiya Morohashi in the first round and then a hard fought contest against FUMA in the second round. Goro failed to beat the Union MAX Champion but after the match asked for the microphone. He said up until now he was Goro Jr. but from now on he wants to fight as himself. Goro unmasked and was revealed to be Yuuya Kubo, the DDT cameraman who got involved in the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title match at “SAITAMA SUPER DDT 2015”! After the reveal Naomi Susan invited Yumakoto to continue wrestling for Union.

Kazushi Miyamoto appeared at ringside for the second round match between SAGAT and Hiroshi Fukuda. He offered a handshake to Fukuda before the match but it was rejected. When the referee was knocked out during the match Miyamoto attacked Fukuda and told SAGAT to capitalise. Fukuda somehow recovered and pinned SAGAT with a School Boy. Miyamoto revealed after the match that he and SAGAT have been hired to create a new kingdom in Union and the mastermind would be revealed soon.

Elsewhere in the early rounds Hiroshi Fukuda beat Ryu Gouma in the battle between tambourines and statute books, Shuji Ishikawa had no problem giving Cherry the Splash Mountain and Isami Kodaka pulled out the Ocean Cyclone Suplex to beat Mio Shirai.

5. Get The Glory 2015! Final: FUMA defeated Isami Kodaka with the Diving Headbutt (15:45).

The evening show featured the final rounds of the tournament. Isami Kodaka defeated Hiroshi Fukuda in the first semi final. In the second semi final SAGAT & Kazushi Miyamoto returned to help FUMA beat Shuji Ishikawa! FUMA was revealed to be their mastermind! The trio attacked Ishikawa with a chair and FUMA finished him off with the Jawbreaker kick.

So the final was between Kodaka and the newly turned heel FUMA. The Union MAX Champ had SAGAT & Miyamoto in his corner while Kodaka had Ishikawa & Daichi Kazato by his side. The match descended into chaos when FUMA’s henchmen interfered only for Kodaka’s allies to come to the rescue. When they were all taken out of the picture Kodaka tried to beat FUMA with a German Suplex. FUMA then countered a Leg Lariat into the Jawbreaker and then hit the Diving Headbutt to win the match and the tournament.

FUMA declared himself the undisputed ace of Union for being the champion, winning the tournament and beating Union’s best wrestlers in the process. He declined his prize of choosing what match to have on 29th April. Instead he challenged Kodaka to a match in Osaka on 1st March. FUMA then named another wrestler who is part of his new unit, MEN’S Teioh! FUMA declares he will change the history of Union Pro and his new group is the centre of the company!

Seiya Morohashi got a measure of payback on Yuuya Kubo when he submitted him to win the losers Battle Royal.

1. Ryu Gouma Return Match: Ryu Gouma Vs Choun-Shiryu (w/ Cao Zhang)
2. Seiya Morohashi, Cherry & Masato Shibata Vs Nao Fukumen A, Nako Fukumen P & Nazo Fukumen G
3. Shuji Ishikawa Vs Daichi Kazato
4. Isami Kodaka, Kengo Ohka & Madoka Vs Kenny Omega, Cao Zhang & Menso~re Oyaji
5. Union Fly To Everywhere World Title: Kaori Yoneyama (c) Vs Nazo Fukumen B

The threat from a group of mysterious masked people is beginning to grow in Union. The Nazo Fukumen now consists of four people. Nazo Fukumen P has told reporters the gang’s aim is to bring true peace to the world. Every conflict on the planet is caused by the entire human race facing different directions. If all humans lived facing the same direction, there would be peace. He then went on a rant about how American toilets are better than Japanese toilets, so no prizes for guessing who is under the mask. The Nazo Fukumen also aim to commercialize their mask and turn it into a popular piece of merchandise.

Choun-Shiryu has brought SAGAT back from China and he is looking… different. SAGAT is now a Chinese Vampire and is under Shiryu’s control. Shiryu aims to do the same to Ryu Gouma so he can add a Chinese Vampire Lawyer to his growing army.

Hiroshi Fukuda and Mio Shirai are the new commentators for Union’s online broadcasts. Despite their recent banishments from competing inside the Union ring, Naomi Susan was able to bring them back into the brand under non-wrestling roles.

4. Gabaiji-chan defeated Seiya Morohashi with the Gabai Bomb (12:12).
5. Union Fly To Everywhere World Title: Kaori Yoneyama defeated Cherry with a Roll Through German Suplex (14:07).
*Kaori Yoneyama is the 1st Union Fly To Everywhere World Champion!
6. Giant Recital Match: Isami Kodaka, Kengo Ohka & Madoka defeated Shuji Ishikawa, FUMA & Masato Shibata (21:30).
6a. Isami Kodaka pinned Shuji Ishikawa with a School Boy (6:27).
6b. Shuji Ishikawa pinned Isami Kodaka with the Splash Mountain (14:10).
6c. Isami Kodaka pinned FUMA with the Isamu Leg (21:30).

Among the instruments and equipment involved in the Giant Recital were guitars, trumpets and Yama amplifiers. Shuji Ishikawa was disappointed he didn’t get to sing. He and Naomi Susan invited Hiroshi Fukuda and Jun Kasai into the ring to sing a song. Isami Kodaka interrupted to challenge Kasai to a match for Freedoms at Korakuen Hall in May.

A Mascara Contra Exile match kicked off the show. It turns out the Nazo Fukumen has a third member since the female masked wrestler from the last show was replaced with a new masked man instead (Mio… I mean the mystery woman missed the show due to illness). Fukuda guessed Kijimuna was behind the mask. Kasai just casually said Ken Ohka was one of them. A Small Package led to Fukuda and Nazo Fukumen C pinning each other to end the match in a draw. As a result, Fukuda is now exiled from Union while Nazo Fukumen C had to unmask. The masked man was revealed to be Shota, who hadn’t wrestled in DDT or Union since last August and was desperate to return. He apologised for his plan and left the arena crying. Meanwhile Kasai consoled Fukuda and gave him a 5 bell salute.

The creator of the Union Fly To Everywhere World Title is now its first champion. Kaori Yoneyama defeated Cherry in the decision match to crown the first FTE Champion. Nazo Fukumen A challenged Kaori to a title match but Rumi Kazama refused to sanction the match because she said it is strictly a women’s championship. The masked man told Kazama to never forget those words and left. Yoneyama declared she will defend her new championship many times to any woman who challenges her.

The New Beijing team returned to Union with a fire in their belly. They were very angry over the controversial Japanese toilets versus Chinese toilets argument they had with Hiroshi Fukuda & Jun Kasai last month. Shiryu was upset that Cao Zhang was now put into a pointless match with the rookie SAGAT. He decided to make the match meaningful by presenting a mysterious bottle of liquid. Shiryu said it was a forbidden Vampire Elixir that was developed in China over 2,800 years ago. He claims the elixir can turn the dead into vampires. However, it is illegal in Japan to turn the dead into vampires so the bottle will be put up as a prize for the winner of the match. Cao Zhang defeated SAGAT and Shiryu forced SAGAT to drink the liquid. Shiryu promised that SAGAT will return with 4,000 years of Chinese technology powering him.

Kenny Omega will wrestle for Union on 5th April in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.
