5. Isami Kodaka 15th Anniversary Memorial Match ~Important Edition~: Isami Kodaka defeated Tatsuhiko Yoshino with the Isamuashi Zan (12:33).
6. Yuji Hino & Yasu Urano defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu when Hino pinned Sekine with the Fucking Bomb (20:23).

Yuji Hino is an intimidating figure and Ryuichi Sekine was hesitant to interact with him before, during and even after the main event. Sekine needed some time to recover after Hino pinned him with the Fucking Bomb. When he finally got the courage to speak, Sekine thanked Hino for the times he gave him advice and for being supportive. Hino was surprised by Sekine’s gesture, shook his hand and helped pick him back up to his feet.

There was a reason why Isami Kodaka Vs Tatsuhiko Yoshino was advertised as an “Important Edition” of Kodaka’s 15th Anniversary series. Kodaka said BASARA has many friends but Yoshino is an important one. Yoshino called Kodaka the best big brother he could ever wish for. When the time comes for Kodaka to retire, he will call Yoshino to play an important role for him. But that’s not happening anytime soon. Kodaka’s turning 36 this year and he aims to wrestle until he turns 75, the same age that The Great Kojika is now. Kodaka announced that his next match for his anniversary series will be on 19th September and will involve GENTARO and Ryuji Ito.

The Trans-Am ★ Family unveiled their newest member Trans-Am ★ Tomato for their match against IRON PRIEST. He and his teammates Trans-Am ★ Shinya & SAGAT all did the Tomato Dance for their entrance together. Tomato riled up IRON PRIEST by claiming that “America Is Hip Hop!” FUMA fought him off by describing his own moves as pesticide.

Heijitsu Mask was prevented from appearing at the show today because he is only allowed to wrestle on weekdays. When he arrived at the airport this morning he was stopped by security. TEPPEI took his place in Match #3.

Fuminori Abe wrestled in full monk garb, even wearing a bald cap because he didn’t want to shave his head. He offered advice to Best Stretchman V3 and said he is becoming overwhelmed by his responsibilities. He then tried to offer pamphlets to Stretchman while they wrestled. Abe won the match when he stuck a mysterious piece of paper on Stretchman’s face, rendering the superhero unconscious. When Stretchman woke up he felt refreshed and invigorated. He has been reborn as New Best Stretchman!

*Team Dream Futures become the 1st KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!

Team Dream Futures are crowned the first KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions. The trio went through Union and Team Castle to win the tournament but surprisingly avoided Ura-Shima-Hiro. Team Castle got the upset win over that side in the first semi-final when Makoto Oishi used the Jikiden Tornado Clutch to get a flash pin ob Hiro Tsumaki. Drift meanwhile defeated the Union team in the other semi-final with Keisuke Ishii pinning Ken Ohka while continuing to piss off Isami Kodaka. Shigehiro Irie was the deciding factor in the final, pounding down Akito until he was finally able to put him away with the Vertical Drop Back Flip. After receiving the title belts, Irie said he was happy to be with a team of good friends and 2013 was going to be his year.

Yuji Hino was able to defeat Danshoku Dino by countout but it was at the cost of his Monster Army allies getting deep kisses. Dino then chased Hino back to the locker room where loud noises could be heard afterwards. Only Hino was able to return to the ring in time but with his tights pulled down to reveal his backside. Hino’s victory means that he prevented Osaka from being turned into a “Gay Town”.

5. KO-D Tag Team Title: KUDO & Makoto Oishi (c) Vs Masa Takanashi & Daisuke Sasaki
6. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuji Hino (c) Vs Kota Ibushi

With this show taking place just two months before the 15th Anniversary show, chances are that whoever walks out of the main event as the winner will most likely be the KO-D Openweight Champion defending the belt at Budokan Hall. You could make comparisons between Yuji Hino and Daisuke Sekimoto. Both are powerful wrestlers who entered DDT as outsiders and usurped the KO-D Title. Hino could move one step further by main eventing the Budokan. All he has to do is defeat Kota Ibushi and he will be all clear.

Well, except for DJ Nira and his “Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere” contract. He still has that. He would have cashed it in too last month if Ibushi didn’t leap into the ring and Rocket Punch him.

Meanwhile Kota Ibushi has quickly got back on track after returning to the ring in May. He has developed the Sit Down Power Bomb into his latest finishing move and he now has two title matches coming up. Not only is Ibushi facing Hino for the KO-D Title in DDT on 24th June, he will also face Low Ki for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title in New Japan on 29th July. It may be possible that by the time Budokan rolls around, Ibushi will have not one but two belts being carried over his shoulders.
