The annual New Years Eve show is confirmed to have the annual tag team tournament mash up. It is advertised as a tournament between five organisations: Big Japan, DDT (+DNA & BASARA), K-DOJO and for the first time All Japan and WRESTLE-1 are officially in on the act. The tournament features the usual cast of regular teams, powerful inter-promotional pairings and joke duos. The first round and second round matches all have a 10 minute time limit. The semi finals have a 15 minute time limit. Any time limit draws will go to sudden death overtime where matches end on a one count pinfall. The final has no time limit and thus no sudden death.

Since Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi was wrestling in Taiwan for DDT, he sent Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi to take his place on the BASARA show happening on the same day. Takumi Tsukamoto called out to Ryuichi after the match and he talked about how they used to team together. He now wasn’t looking at Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi, he was looking at Ryuichi Kawakami. Tsukamoto challenged Kawakami to a match at BASARA’s Christmas Day show at Korakuen Hall. Tsukamoto wants to show how strong he has become ever since he joined BASARA.

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi sent a message from Taiwan to be read at this show. It was an announcement that SAGAT will take on Jun Akiyama on Christmas Day! SAGAT was stunned at the news but found the courage to say he will beat Akiyama. Then he immediately took that back.

Cavalry challenged Abdullah Kobayashi, Takayuki Ueki & Masaya Takahashi to a Yokohama Shopping Street 6-Man Tag Team Titles match on Christmas Day. But there’s an extra surprise. Koji Kanemoto will be on Cavalry’s team!

FUMA and Masamune were provoking each other into a fight after Match #3.

DDT’s first visit to Taiwan was declared to be DDT’s first step to advance across the world. At the end of the show Sanshiro Takagi announced at formation of a DDT Taiwan branch office. Takagi said he loves the people in Taiwan, he wants to wrestle there again and DDT will definitely come back. Rekka tearfully thanked the fans in Chinese for coming to see the show.

Takagi entered his match with Cholesterol Takuya singing “NODOWAZIME ~Nodowa Shime~”. Saki Akai came out afterwards accompanied by two cosplayers who were modelled after her. Danshoku Dino claimed he was going to turn Taiwan into a Gay Town if his team won. However Takuya interfered and Choke Slammed Makoto Oishi, leading Takagi’s team to victory.

This show was Yoshihiro Takayama’s fourth trip to Taiwan. However he and Kazusada Higuchi are giving their full attention to their match against Masakatsu Funaki & Yukio Sakaguchi at “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2016”.

A Nitoru mattress was placed in the ring for the Sleep Prevention Death Match. The winner was whoever could make his opponent fall asleep on the mattress for three seconds. Both Antonio Honda and Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi were battling jetlag and kept slamming each other onto the mattress. Yukinori Matsui was knocked onto the mattress at one point and fell asleep instantly. He eventually woke up and Hiroshi gave Honda a Diving Cross Body onto the mattress to win. Hiroshi was awarded with a 100,000 New Taiwan dollar shopping voucher and also the mattress.

KUDO & Yoshihiko were given movie tickets as a prize for winning Match #2.

2. Mil Clown & Hyper Misao defeated Yuu & Nodoka-oneesan when Clown pinned Nodoka with the Mil Clutch α (10:38).
3. Konsho-gun 2nd Single Match: Rika Tatsumi defeated Azusa Takigawa with the Dragon Sleeper (8:14).
4. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title Next Challenger Survival 3 Way Match: Shoko Nakajima defeated Miyu Yamashita and Akane Miura (12:06).
4a. Shoko Nakajima eliminated Akane Miura with the Coax (7:48).
4b. Shoko Nakajima eliminated Miyu Yamashita with the Northern Lights Suplex (12:06).

Shoko Nakajima pinned both Akane Miura and Miyu Yamashita, absolutely earning her No. 1 Contendership for the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title. Miura’s power was on display when she gave both her opponents a double Brainbuster but Nakajima recovered and cradled her for the three count. Yamashita kicked out of Nakajima’s Northern Light Suplex the first time but couldn’t hit the Attitude Adjustment. Nakajima then gave Yamashita a Double Arm DDT and a second Northern Lights to win the match. Nakajima said she’s been waiting for this opportunity for a year and this time she will not let go until she wins the championship. Yuu is encouraged by Nakajima’s determination. The champion wants a strong rival and it looks like she is going to get one!

Azusa Takigawa is really going in on the marriage thing. She entered her match wearing a wedding veil to a song called “Love Will Win”. Nonoko interfered with a copy of Zexy magazine to use as a weapon on Rika Tatsumi but it backfired. Nonoko accidentally hit Takigawa instead and that gave Tatsumi an opening to lock in the Dragon Sleeper. Takigawa’s plan for her next match is to buy the next issue of Zexy. Maybe she will stack the magazines together to make them thicker.

After losing again today, Nodoka-oneesan is feeling discouraged. She comes from the same class as Yuu but their levels of success could not be more opposite. She needs advice that can take her out of her slump so she challenged Cherry to a match at Korakuen Hall on 4th January. Cherry once told Nodoka that if she had any trouble or needed consulting about anything she would be there for her.

Mil Clown will take on Candice LeRae on 4th January. Mil’s sister Yuka Sakazaki fought and lost to LeRae at the last 4/1 show. Because of this, Clown sees LeRae as a family enemy.
