2. Mizuki, Yuki Aino, Nao Kakuta & Arisu Endo defeated Miyu Yamashita, Miu Watanabe, Pom Harajuku & Moka Miyamoto when Aino pinned Miyamoto with the Venus DDT (15:06).
3. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Suzume defeated Mahiro Kiryu with the Ring A Bell (7:53).
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Maki Itoh defeated Raku with the Itoh Punish (9:03).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Shoko Nakajima defeated Marika Kobashi with the Northern Lights Suplex (5:41).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Rika Tatsumi defeated Hyper Misao with a Rotating Leg Hold (15:03).
The four days of shows in a row are done and Round 2 is completed. The Tokyo Princess Cup is now down to the final eight. The very last match was an emotional one because it was Rika Tatsumi Vs Hyper Misao. This was their first singles match together since Misao’s phantom retirement match last November. This was so important that Misao dropped all her antics and wrestled a serious match. It was so serious that Misao’s mask got knocked off her face in the final moments but she continued to fight. Tatsumi countered a Gedo Clutch into a Rotating Log Hold to get the win and move on to the Quarter Finals. The two of them bumped fists after the match. Backstage Misao said the match is connected to the story that has been going on since November. She thought she would win today and make it the final episode.
Meeting Tatsumi in the quarters is Shoko Nakajima. Her first match in the tournament was a win against Marika Kobashi. From the get go, Kobashi went for the Front Neck Lock and she would use the move several times. But Nakajima was able to break out of the move and pin Kobashi with the Northern Light Suplex. Kobashi said the God Of Gals sent her encouragement with a day full of beautiful sunlight. She blamed the loss on not getting enough of a tan from that sunlight. It was a message from the God of Gals that she doesn’t have enough vibes as a wrestler or a Gal. Nakajima now moves on to face Tatsumi in the final eight.
Maki Itoh’s determination to meet Mizuki in the later rounds pushed her through to beat Raku. She wore earplugs during the match so she wouldn’t her Raku’s lullabyes. Raku still briefly sent her to sleep with a Sleeper Hold. That was when she noticed the ear plugs. Itoh used a High Angle DDT to counter the Doctor Yellow and narrowly avoided being pinned with the Hurricane Turn. When Itoh put Raku in a Crab Hold she dragged her to the middle of the ring and turned it into the Itoh Punish for the victory. She expected the match to go 60-40 her way but she thinks it ended up more 80-20. So that’s a good sign she is getting stronger.
Last but not least, Suzume breaks through to the Quarter Finals for the first time, pinning Mahiro Kiryu with the Ring A Bell. It is a results Suzume has been waiting for ever since Kiryu beat her in a singles match shortly after she debuted. She admitted she wasn’t even thinking about the tournament while they fought. Next up for her is Itoh.

5. Izumi Specialty Special Single Match: Chris Brookes defeated Akito with the Praying Mantis Bomb (13:18).
6. Eruption Vs DAMNATION!: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Yuji Hino & Mad Paulie when Higuchi pinned Paulie with the Brain Claw Slam (13:04).
7. PIONEER NEXT Presents Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Hideki Okatani defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata & MAO when Okada pinned Katsumata with the Sudden Death (20:56).
It was an eventful return home for Jun Akiyama. First of all, believe it or not this was the first time Akiyama had a homecoming match in Izumi City. Ever! Before the main event Junretsu were presented with bouquets from his alma mater’s wrestling club and also from the president of the match sponsor PIONEER NEXT. That president also happens to be Hiroyuki Akiyama, Jun’s younger brother. Akiyama’s team came out on top against THE 37KAMIINA despite Konosuke Takeshita claiming his shoulder is in great shape again. Hideki Okatani took out MAO with the Running Neckbreaker. Akiyama & Yusuke Okada gave Shunma Katsumata a Back Drop/Diving Neckbreaker double team move. Akiyama followed up with the Exploder Suplex and tagged in Okada. Katsumata still had fight left in him and wouldn’t be pinned. Okada declined tagging Akiyama back in and was eventually able to win by himself with the Sudden Death.
After the match Okada explained to Akiyama that he taught him never to read the room while wrestling, which is why he never tagged him back in. Akiyama corrected Okada and said you’re supposed to read the room! He never told him to do the opposite! Okada’s excuse is he misheard him. He then asked Akiyama about something serious. Makoto Oishi, the leader of Junretsu, has been forced to take a long break due to injury. Okada is not a member of Junretsu despite always hanging around Akiyama and the rest of the unit. It was Oishi who first welcomed him to DDT and if he is no longer around, then Okada wants to protect Junretsu for him. So today Yusuke Okada is asking to join Junretsu! Not only that but he also wants to team with Akiyama to challenge for the KO-D Tag Team Titles on 15th August! Akiyama asked for the audience’s opinion and agreed when they gave a positive response.
Eruption got one over DAMNATION in a preview of the next KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. Yuji Hino posed with his title belt to provoke Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi. He did so again even after Higuchi pinned Mad Paulie to end the match in Eruption’s favour. Backstage Hino blamed the loss on the sake his drank before the match.
For a brief moment, Yuki Ueno had the DDT Universal Title belt given back to him by staff after his match. Unfortunately Daisuke Sasaki gave him a Low Blow and stole the belt again. Even Sasaki admitted that he is a shameless belt thief.
Kazuki Hirata instantly went for the kill against Tetsuya Endo but a Lariat ended his hopes pretty quickly. He asked for a rematch but with special rules to even the odds. In the rematch, Hirata only has to pin Endo for a 2 Count to win but Endo needs to pin Hirata for a 4 Count. Endo agreed and made Hirata submit to a Cross Armbreaker after the restart.
Yukinori Matsui announced he will be producing a show in Abeno Ward Center, Osaka on 17th October.

5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Mizuki defeated Mirai Maiumi with the Cutie Special (12:45).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Miyu Yamashita defeated Yuki Kamifuku with the Skull Kick (11:35).
Round 2 of the Tokyo Princess Cup began with three matches today, filling up one half of the Quarter Finals. Miyu Yamashita continues her perilous journey through the tournament, advancing past Yuki Kamifuku. Yamashita was honest after the match and admitted to being a little scared because Kamifuku was stronger than she expected. Kamifuku said backstage this was her first singles match with Yamashita in four years and that was only her third ever wrestling bout back then. She was hoping that Nao Kakuta would beat her in Round 1. She would always watch Yamashita matches before but after today she is reminded to respect her seniors. So from now on Kamifuku promises to use proper honorifics, bow her head and come to meetings on time.
Yamashita also gets who she wants in the Quarter Final. Mizuki starts her tournament off on the right foot by beating Mirai Maiumi. She was in a playful mood and kept making S signs to make fun of Maiumi’s love for Strong Style. She explained after the match that she is cherishing every round due to how difficult it will be to win the Princess Cup three years in a row. Mizuki also has to face Yamashita next. Mizuki promised to do her best against her for Yuka Sakazaki. Maiumi hates losing but understands it is something you have to go through to recognize how strong your opponents really are. The difference between this year and last year is Maiumi has learned not to let her emotions get the better of her when she loses.
Yuki Aino survived being scratched to death by Haruna Neko to continue her run. Neko hit the Nekodebreaker and Jumping Nekobreaker but Aino hit back with a Bulldog Headlock and the Venus DDT to win. Neko was disappointed she wasn’t able to take advantage of her higher seeding in the bracket to win today. Aino praised her for being totally different from the last time they wrestled. Now in the Quarter Final Aino takes on Miu Watanabe in a match she is very excited to have.

If Yamashita and Mizuki both win tomorrow then they face each other in the Quarter Final. That’s if Mirai Maiumi doesn’t deliver the Miramare Shock she is always promising first. Yuki Kamifuku recently got her motorbike license so her dream of winning the tournament and being gifted with a prize bike is as strong as ever. Haruna Neko won a non-tournament 3 Way match today but can she pull it off against Yuki Aino in the Cup tomorrow?

4. HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura & Chris Brookes defeated Soma Takao, Yuji Hino & Mad Paulie when HARASHIMA pinned Paulie with the Somato (14:56).
5. Nagoya Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Hideki Okatani defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata & Yuya Koroku when Okada pinned Koroku with the Sudden Death (14:06).
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs DAMNATION!: Yuki Ueno & MAO defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo when Ueno pinned Endo with the WR (19:51).
Yuki Ueno got a measure of revenge by pinning Daisuke Sasaki in the main event. However he was too polite for his own good and his request for Sasaki to hand him back the DDT Universal Title was ignored. DAMNATION left ringside with Sasaki still holding the belt. Ueno didn’t let that bother him and he promised to take the belt back on 21st August.
We’re still a month away from “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” but Konosuke Takeshita is already showing signs of wear and tear. He had his shoulder taped up for his latest match against Jun Akiyama. On a lighter note, Yuya Koroku is still trying to fit in with The 37KAMIINA by doing their sauna pose. Yusuke Okada also did his part filling in for the injured Makoto Oishi.
Eruption looked a little bit different today. Yukio Sakaguchi wasn’t there so Kazuki Hirata saw an opportunity to take his place. He dressed like Sakaguchi and tried to fight like him too. But the temptation to use the Hirata GO! glasses was too much to handle and he wore them to dance. Saki Akai got fed up and gave him the Quetzalcoatl, leaving the other team to pick up the pieces and take the win.
The wrestlers in the first two matches all decided for themselves to do the match they want to do. So both Antonio Honda Vs Yuki Iino and Danshoku Dieno Vs The Intelligent Sensational Grand Passion Mask #4 never ended and we got Honda & Iino against Dieno & Passion Mask instead. Unfortunately they also all wanted to wrestle in their underwear so the impromptu match was called off after Passion Mask was stripped of both his mask and his underwear.

6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Marika Kobashi defeated Nodoka Tenma with the Front Neck Lock (7:52).
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Rika Tatsumi defeated Hikari Noa with the Missile Hip (14:14).
The International Princess Champion is out in Round 1! Rika Tatsumi survived the Blizzard Suplex from Hikari Noa thanks to a rope break preventing a three count. Tatsumi recovered with a Twist Of Fate and pinned Noa with the Missile Hip. She said after the match that nobody in the tournament wants to lose. But what Tatsumi is lacking at the moment is a championship. That is what makes her want to win the Tokyo Princess Cup and become a champion again! She faces Hyper Misao in Round 2. An upset Hikari questions if she should even have a championship because she was eliminated in the first round. She now wants to defend the IP Title against Tatsumi to get revenge.
Probably the upset of Round 1 belongs to Marika Kobashi. She made Nodoka Tenma submit to the Front Neck Lock. The two came into Tokyo Joshi Pro around the same time seven years ago but Kobashi had missed time over the years so there is a gulf of experience between them. Summer is the season for gals so Kobashi has the confidence to face anybody. This includes her next round opponent Shoko Nakajima. Tenma admits she feels happy for Kobashi because she is doing things in a way only she can do.
Yuki Arai’s first go around in the Princess Cup is a brief one. She put her efforts into using a Sleeper Hold on Yuki Aino. She also surprised everyone by doing a Full Nelson Buster. Aino escaped from trouble by evading the Finally Kick. She then threw her opponent with the Side Suplex and made her submit to her own Full Nelson. She praised Arai for putting up a good fight. Arai said she had a strong desire to break through the first round. She learned how to use a Full Nelson Buster because up until now she has only be doing kicking moves. Next up for Aino is Haruna Neko in Round 2.
Due to the uneven numbers entering the tournament, some wrestlers have a shorter path to the finals than others. Miu Watanabe is already through to the Quarter Finals after beating Kaya Toribami. She faces the winner of Yuki Aino Vs Haruna Neko. Toribami admitted she lost her concentration after doing the Twisting Senton from the second rope. She thinks this was the toughest match of her young career so far.

3. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Mahiro Kiryu defeated Arisu Endo with the Spinebuster (9:00).
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Raku defeated Moka Miyamoto with the Doctor Yellow (6:01).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Mirai Maiumi defeated Pom Harajuku with the Miramare (8:31).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Miyu Yamashita defeated Nao Kakuta with the Crash Rabbit Heat (11:27).
The Tokyo Princess Cup begins with Miyu Yamashita advancing past the first round. Given her past experiences in the tournament, she is treating this win against Nao Kakuta as a big deal. That is why she used the Crash Rabbit Heat, which in recent times is only used in title matches. But the hard work has just begun with Yuki Kamifuku waiting for Yamashita in Round 2. Backstage Yamashita talked about Maki Itoh’s goal to beat Mizuki in the tournament. She points out the brackets are laid out for Yamashita to face Mizuki first and she is determined not to lose to her. Itoh overheard Yamashita’s comments and it led to an awkward moment between them.
Another challenge, another custom shirt for Mirai Maiumi. She had to out-think her opponent Pom Harajuku. Her Back Drop was countered into a Rolling Cradle but Maiumi turned it over into the Miramare to get the submission win. Now Maiumi faces Mizuki in Round 2 and she warns a Miramare Shock will happen to the two time winner! Harajuku always heard Maiumi talk about SS so she spent all of the night before thinking what it means. Harajuku thought it meant Sirloin Steak so she ate one before the match and didn’t like it. That’s probably why she lost.
Raku earned her first ever singles win by beating Moka Miyamoto. She thanked the fans who sent her messages of support before the match. She was able to do her best because of them. She faces Maki Itoh in the next round and is already thinking of lullabies and other tricks to make Itoh fall asleep. Miyamoto is disappointed to lose in the first round but promises to make up for it in the non-tournament matches for the rest of this week.
In the first tournament match of the day, Mahiro Kiryu eliminated Arisu Endo. She felt Endo was building up momentum so she couldn’t afford to lose to her. Kiryu’s next round opponent is Suzume. The two have gotten to know each other a lot in their private lives but Kiryu doesn’t want to lose against her junior. Her plan is to wrestle the match in her own way so she won’t get swept up by Suzume’s pace.
